DogDay and his friends gather around at their small picnic area. It was another sunny day for the critters! The sun was shining, and the critters were having a great day!

"What a beautiful day it is!" Bobby Bearhug says cheerfully. She had been waiting so eagerly to spend time with her very best friends.

"Yeah! It is..." Dogday says his tone suddenly lowering.

Hoppy Hopscotch and Kickinchicken join in on the conversation while playing with their frisbee.

"Yeah! Though it is a little hot out here. Other than that, it's pretty chill!" Kickin says tossing the frisbee to Hoppy.

"It ain't that hot. You're just sensitive!" Hoppy says tossing the frisbee back to Kickin.

DogDay looks out into the fields with a small frown. He continues to look out while the other critters continue their conversation. Bobby Bearhug notices his small frown and decides to ask him about it.

Bobby Bearhug stands up and walks towards Dogday. She puts a paw on his shoulder. Dogday suddenly flinches from the sudden contact but immediately regains his composure.

"Hm? Oh... hey Bobby." Dogday says.

"Don't try to act like everything's normal Dogday. You know I can tell when something's bothering you." Bobby says.

"Fine fine..." Dogday sighs before continuing, "I've just been missing my little brother a lot lately..."

Every critter suddenly stops what they're doing and looks at Dogday with a shocked expression.

"YOU HAVE A LITTLE BROTHER?!" Every critter says shocked.

Dogday flinches at the sudden shouting. He then clears his throat ready to tell them the secret of him having a little brother.

"Yeah... I do. Sorry for not telling you all. I didn't really think it was necessary... But... I have been missing him a lot. The last time I saw him was three months ago. Doesn't sound like a lot I know but that does not stop me from missing him." Dogday says facing away from his friends.

"Well... it's not as if anything bad has happened to him. It's okay Dogday. You'll see him soon." Bubba Bubbaphant says.

Craftycorn joins in continuing to reassure Dogday.

"Yeah! He'll be fine. For now, just enjoy the picnic, okay?" Craftycorn says continuing to paint the view.

A small smile forms on Dogday's face. He thinks about what the critters told him, and a wave of relief comes over him. Perhaps they're right. He then gets up and joins Hoppy and Kickin in their game.

The critters continue having their fun until the sun starts to set. Dogday decides it's time for the critters to all go home. The critters have a conversation on the way home. Some continue to ask Dogday if he was joking about having a sibling while the others have their own conversations. Dogday gets a little frustrated at the repetition of the question but answers them anyways. Catnap, who has not spoken once, tries to get them to stop but fails. When the critters all get home, they get ready for bed. Some of them immediately fall asleep from how tired they are. It doesn't take long before all of them are asleep except for a certain dog. Dogday lays in his bed staring at the ceiling. He never realized how much he really did miss his brother. He thinks about what the other critters told him. Sure his brother is okay and well but he still misses him so much. He closes his eyes and tries to sleep. He reassures himself that he is doing well and is alright despite how long its been since he has seen him. He finally manages to drift off to sleep succumbing to how tired he was.

The sun rises meaning a new day has come. Dogday wakes up only to see all the critters aren't in the room with him. He looks around to see if any critter is there. He gets up and starts to look around his home only to not find any critter. He suddenly hears something coming from outside. He stretches and then makes his way to the front door. He opens the door only to see his critter friends surrounding something.
"Hey guys! What's going on?" Dogday says getting the other critters' attention.

Catnap turns around to face Dogday with a small smile.

"So, your brother's name is Heartymaxxie?" Catnap says chuckling a bit.

Dogday's expression turns into one of confusion. Catnap whispers something to Bobby bearhug. Bobby bearhug suddenly motions for everyone to back away from the figure they were surrounding. As soon as the critters fully back off from the figure Dogday's eyes widen. His eyes was met with the sight of a pink puppy with yellow fur. Their pendant was a pink heart with yellow similar to Bobby Bearhug's. Dogday suddenly runs up to the pink puppy hugging them. The pink puppy was indeed his brother Heartymaxxie.

"I missed you so much Hearty..." Dogday says continuing to hug him.

"I missed you so much too, Dogday!" HeartyMaxxie says hugging him back.

The other critters watch happily while Bobby Bearhug shakes in excitement. She runs up to the two hugging them tightly.

"AGH! B-bobby! Can't... breathe!" Dogday says gasping for breath.

"Oh! Uh..." Bobby bearhug lets the two go feeling a bit embarrassed.

Dogday pulls away from hugging Heartymaxxie and chuckles a bit.

"Why are you here little bro? I mean... not that I don't want you here. It's just so sudden you know?" Dogday asks.

"Oh! Yeah, about that... uhm... so I have been missing you a lot and... Auntie kinda found out... so... she gave me the choice to either stay with her or stay with you... I kinda asked if I can switch every two weeks. ..if that's okay... with you..." Heartymaxxie says in a quiet voice.

Dogday is suddenly shocked from the sudden information along with the critters who had been listening.

"Are you kidding? Of course!" Dogday says happyily.

Heartymaxxie smiles and hugs Dogday once more. The others critter smile happily witnessing the two brothers reunited.

"Hehe. I guess we now know that Dogday wasn't lying about having a brother. Nice!" KickinChicken says.

"Well, I don't know for sure! The two don't look much alike... one is pink while-"
"Yeah yeah we get it." PickyPiggy says cutting Bubba Bubbaphant off.

A few hours later. Dogday and Catnap help Heartymaxxie settle in one of the spare rooms they had. After helping out and finishing, Catnap exits the room to do whatever he wants to do in his free time. Dogday sits on the edge of Heartymaxxie's bed next to Heartymaxxie.

"How has it been with Auntie bud?" Dogday asks.

"It's been okay. She's a little too energetic for me but... it's been okay." Heartymaxxie says.

"Too energetic how?" Dogday asks curious.

"Well... she's always trying to get me to go with her to like... parties and stuff... you know... those with a lot of critters there..." Heartymaxxie says.

"Hehe. That's pretty normal for parties you know? It's alright though. I know how you don't like being around other critters. A lot of critters especially." Dogday says.

"Yeah... too much for me. Auntie is okay but maybe she's a bit... too full of energy for me."

"Hehe. Tell me about it! Remember when she tried to make us go skydiving? It takes a bunch of courage from a critter to do that! It was pretty fun though." Dogday says laughing a bit.

"Yeah, before I ended up sick after." Heartymaxxie says a bit annoyed.

"Alright alright. Maybe not so fun for you." Dogday says laughing.

The two sit in silence for a bit before Dogday breaks it.

"So... have you made any friends?" Dogday asks.

Heartymaxxie thinks for a bit before suddenly remembering.

"Well... I did make one friend..." Heartymaxxie says.

DogDay, who is now interested, listens closely.

"Oh yeah? What's their name?" Dogday asks.

"Hehe... she is really nice... her names HarePainter!"
