Phantom Dance

The shutter doors open to reveal the host and danifan3000 accompanied by the Warners as they all see a large stack of pizza boxes and cold sodas neatly placed on a table.

"Be sure to save some for Neo." guardian1989 said to the Warners.

""We will." the Warner siblings said in unison before they zipped towards the table.

"So, this chapter will be based on the episode Shadow Dance from X-Men: Evolution?" danifan3000 asks.

"Yes, with a few changes to the episode." guardian1989 replies

"Per usual." danifan3000 comments. "I'm just looking forward to see how mutants will be treated in this story, unlike the comic books and the canon series."

"Trust me. Even I'm realizing that racism and bigotry can take many forms, even in the comics." guardian1989 said.

Suddely, the doors open once more revealing the constant, unwanted guest behind them.

"Yo!" Deadpool shouts with his thumbs up. "I'm early per usual." he walks in. "And I like hanging around this realm, very clean."

The host lets out an annoyed sigh as he said.

"And apparently, you get more annoying as usual."

"Aw, I missed you, too, buddy." Deadpool said with sarcasm.

"I'm surprised you haven't created security grids or something to keep him out." danifan3000 said.

"Eh, it's more comical to see Wade be a glutton for punishment."guardian1989 whispered through one side of his mouth.

"I heard that!" Deadpool shouts.

"Thank goodness he can't invade when I create digital artworks." guardian1989 droned.

The guest heard that as he asked.

"You're doing digital arts now?"

"Yeah. In fact, I've already done one, and now I'll be doing more when I have the chance." guardian1989 said.

"Cool. How do I check them out?" danifan3000 asks.

"Info is on my profile." guardian1989 replies.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah! Can we get to the chapter now?" Deadpool asks impatiently.

"After this..." guardian1989 lifts his wrist to speak into the watch. "Autoguns, online."

The turret pops out and locks onto its primary target as the annoying merc droned.

"As usual..." he feels the sharp dart. "D'oh!"

Deadpool falls to the floor before the trapdoor opens to drop him into the moat, hundreds of feet below. Once the turret retracts into the wall, the host and his guest grab their grub before taking their respective seats.

"Ready?"

The guest flicks the lights off, signaling for the story to continue.

It was early in the morning. However, it wasn't the start of any ordinary day. It was the day that the sadie hawkins dance would take place. At the Institute, everyone woke up early per instruction by the professor. In one hallway, Rogue was in uniform, walking down the hall towards the elevator before she saw Kitty, also in uniform, phase through a wall with a yawn.

As the petite brunette starts to tie her hair in the usual ponytail, the goth girl smirked as she asked.

"Not enough sleep? You and Lance were on the phone until one-thirty. So, did ya ask 'im?"

"To the dance?" Kitty asks. "No. You know what everyone around here would say."

"Who cares?" Rogue asks before pressing the call button for the elevator.

"So, are you excited about going with Danny?" Kitty asked in a teasing way.

"Hey, leave us alone!" Rogue warns. "Behsahdes, Ah'm still a bit nervous. The last tahme Ah danced with a guy, heh nearly ended up in a coma."

"Like, relax, Rogue. You heard Mr. McCoy and the Professor, your changes are permanent." Kitty assures.

As the elevator opens, Rogue and Kitty enter as the former says.

"Ah know, but in a way, Ah'm still gettin' used to it."

Suddenly, the girls heard two more female voices calling out.

"Wait!"

"Hold the elevator!"

Kitty pressed the button to keep the doors open before Jean, in uniform, and Jazz get in quickly.

"Thanks."

"So why are we doing this anyway?" Kitty asks. "I mean, it's like, a test for Kurt."

"Teamwork, remember?" Jean reminds the brunette.

Then, Kitty turns to Jazz and asks.

"So, Jazz, who are you going to the dance with?"

"Honestly, I rather not go, thanks." Jazz simply said.

Jean had to guess before she asked her roommate.

"Let me guess, Pietro?"

Jazz lets out an annoyed sigh before she says.

"I swear, that guy just won't take no for an answer! He pesters me for a date nonstop, and every time I refuse, he gets more persistent, and it's getting on my nerves!"

Once the shutter doors open, Jazz says as she and the girls walk out of the elevator.

"I'm really tempted to beat his ass with the Anti-Creep Stick if he doesn't stop."

The other girls chuckled as Rogue said teasingly.

"Ya poor gal."

They enter the Danger Room to see a Native American boy named Forge working on a piece of equipment with Jack, Maddie, and Hank. For the Fenton adults, they were glad that this boy, whom the rest of the X-Men knew, was a wizz-kid as he took interest in their tech.

"I got so excited when I dreamt this up. Soon, Kurt, you'll be zapping anywhere across the globe!" Forge said with excitement.

"But... two miles is my limit." Kurt said as he put on breathing equipment. "And I have to see or know exactly where I'm going."

While more equipment was being set up, Forge insists

"Yeah, but this baby is going to change that."

Kurt was nervous as he asked.

"Uh... what does it do, exactly?"

"Kurt, Forge believes that when you teleport, you actually pass through another dimension." Professor Xavier explains as he wheels towards them. "This device will slow you down while you're there. So we can gather information."

"And here I thought there were no other dimensions, besides the Ghost Zone." Jack comments.

As Forge finished the device before changing his multi-tool arm back to normal, he said.

"And with that data, we can improve your abilities.

As Forge helped strap the device before adjusting the timer, Professor Xavier advised Scott.

"Make certain his breathing mask is secured. The sulfur smoke Kurt leaves behind when he teleports indicates the atmosphere may be toxic."

"Gotcha."

After Scott helped Kurt secure the mask, the older boy wished him luck before Forge instructs the teleporter to go to the old lab in Bayville High. Instantly, Kurt prepared himself before he teleported out of the Danger Room. He finds himself in a dimension of lava and brimstone as the fuzzy blue teleporter looks around in wonder.

Soon, he finds himself inside Forge's old lab as he uses his communicator

"It worked! Whoa, what a trip! I'm coming back."

Kurt teleports back into the Danger Room before he removed the gear.

"You guys won't believe what I saw in there!"

"Don't worry. I installed a few cameras, so we'll see what you saw." Forge said.

Logan grunts before he says.

"That'll be a sight to see." he turns to the X-Men. "In the meantime, get to school while Forge does... whatever he does."

Eventually, all of the teens changed into their civilian clothing before heading off to school while the adults got to work analyzing what Kurt saw.

Meanwhile, in the old lab, a portal partially opened as a demonic saurion creature gazed through before vanishing.

School was very much the same. In the hallways, that is.

With Jazz, she was retrieving her textbooks from her locker before she heard the sound of a hand placing itself on another locker. The girl narrows her eyes in annoyance as she thought

"Not again..."

"Hey, cutie."

Jazz sees Pietro after closing her locker before she asks in annoyance.

"What do you want, this time, Pietro?"

"What, a guy can't visit the girl of his dreams?" Pietro asked with a flirtatious smile.

Jazz was unimpressed as she said.

"Not if a guy is annoyingly persistent."

The human redhead was restraining herself, with every ounce of strength, from pummeling the speedster, no matter how fast he can run. Then, Pietro leans on the lockers as he asks.

"Say about the dance. Perhaps you and I could go together if you're not too busy."

Jazz was really tempted to punch Pietro across the face before she said in response while digging a finger into his chest.

"Look, I don't like you, at all! And for the sadie hawkins, it's the girl who asks a guy, not the usual norm. So, don't think I will ever go to the dance with you, because I won't. PERIOD!"

Pietro was undeterred. In fact, his flirtatious look still remained before he said.

"Well, in case you change your mind," he makes the hang loose sign near his ear. "Call me."

Jazz growled in annoyance as her face turned red while she watched the boy walk away.

"Ooh! I really wish I had the Anti-Creep Stick right now."

"Damn, Pietro is really pissing off Jazz." danifan3000 said with impression.

"Oh, yes." guardian1989 said. "He's pretty persistent."

"What about Tucker and Amara?" the guest asks in curiosity.

"Watch and see, my friend." the host simply said.

In another area, Tucker closed his locker door before he felt someone tap his shoulder. Turning around, he sees the very girl that makes him smile.

"Amara."

"Hi Tucker." Amara greets.

While the two were walking, the Nova Roma princess glanced at him as she asked.

"Excited about the dance?"

"I sure am." Tucker said. "Thanks for asking me to go with you."

Amara chuckled. However, before she could say anything, Tucker was roughly pushed aside by an assailant as the girl gasped in shock when she saw him land on the floor. Then, an obnocious voice that only the techno geek recognized spoke up.

"Hey, babe."

Unfortunately for Amara, it was none other Dash Baxter trying to be smooth while flexing his arms.

"Looking for a hot date for the dance?" Dash holds Amara's hand. "Worry no more because you've found what you're looking for."

Amara glared at the blonde jock before she snatched away her hand.

"As if!"

The girl walked up to a downed Tucker before she kneels to help him up and asks.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm all right." Tucker assured.

Dash couldn't comprehend what he was seeing. This girl was actually going for a geek instead of him. The jock gets angry as he yells.

"Hey!"

Amara glares at Dash once more as he rants.

"You're choosing that geek over a real guy, like me?!"

The Nova Roma princess had it with the blonde boy before she walked up to Dash and said.

"Here's my answer to you, you barbarian."

Without warning, Amara kicked Dash right in between the legs, hard. The jock screamed in agonizing pain from the strike as he placed his hands on his crotch while he got on his knees. One could say that Dash was suffering from the severity of the pain as his eye twitched rapidly.

With a huff, Amara simply grabs Tucker's hand and leads him away from the downed jock, not that the techno-geek was complaining about it.

In yet another area of the halls, Lance was drinking from a water fountain before he heard Kitty greeting him

"Hi, Lance. What's up?"

"Oh, hey Kitty. Nothing much." Lance said as he started to walk away.

Kitty followed him as she said.

"It was fun talking last night."

"Yeah, uh... see you around." Lance shyly said.

Kitty caught up to him as she said.

"Wait, Lance."

Lance stops as Kitty shyly said.

"Would you like, I mean, would you... go to the dance with me?"

"I'll... have to think about it." Lance said hesitantly.

"Oh, okay." Kitty said, feeling disappointed as she began to walk away. "I understand. Let me know."

Lance felt bad about his answer before he calls out.

"Hey, Kitty! I thought about it and the answer is yes."

Kitty stops before she smiles at him, lovingly before running off. Lance saw it as he made a fist pump while shouting.

"All right!"

He accidentally triggers an earthquake from his excitement, startling the other students. However, once it stops, the petite brunette looks at Lance, who has a sheepish smile.

"Ouch! Dash got kicked in the balls by Amara!" danifan3000 said with a cringe. "But hey, I don't feel bad for him."

"Honestly, who would, right?" guardian1989 asks.

"Right." the guest said in response.

In math class, as the students were taking a quiz, Kurt glanced at the same dark-skinned girl named Amanda Sefton, who would steal glances at him as well. Danny subtly noticed as well but said nothing. When the bell rang, the students were in the halls, getting their supplies needed for their next class.

With Kurt, he was barely walking out of the entrance of the class with Amamda, as she asked.

"Have you been asked to the dance yet?"

Kurt stammered, trying to say to her that no one has asked him to the dance yet. The girl shyly asks as she and Kurt face one another.

"Would you... go with me?"

"Who me?" Kurt nervously said. "Uh... yeah. Sure! Okay!"

Amanda was relieved when she saw Kurt's smile.

"You would? Awesome!" Amanda turned away quickly before she faced Kurt once more. "So, I'll call you later, okay?"

Kurt nodded before Amanda waves at him before they went their separate ways to their next respective classes.

Meanwhile, at the Institute, Forge, Professor Xavier, Hank, Jack, and Maddie were reviewing the video feed that was recorded during Kurt's journey. They were shocked by what they were seeing.

"Whoa! There is some nasty stuff in that atmosphere." Forge said.

"Unbelievable." was Maddie could say.

"Some of these readings indicate the presence of organic molecules." Professor Xavier notes.

As Jack and Logan were reviewing the video feed, the Fenton man gestured to the burly Canadian to rewind it when he saw the silhouette of a saurion creature behind one of the stalagmites

"It's hard to believe that anything could survive in those conditions." Forge said.

"You best believe it." Jack said, getting everyone's attention.

"Especially when we got a few of your organic molecules here." Logan points to the screen.

"What is that thing?" Maddie asks in curiosity mixed with surprise.

"Truly remarkable." Hank comments.

Professor Xavier mulls it over before he said.

"We need more information. This thing might present a danger to Kurt."

Logan thought it over before he offered.

"How about I go with him on the next trip, just in case?"

Back in Bayville High, it was lunchtime as Kurt sat at a table with Evan, Danny, and Scott while the teleporter asked.

"What should I wear? I mean, is it formal, semi-formal, what?" Kurt looks at his wrist. "The professor's going to have to reprogram my holo-watch."

Evan remembers one little detail as he said.

"That's right, bro! She's gonna feel two furry fingers."

Kurt becomes horror-stricken as he said.

"Damn, that's right! What am I going to do?! Oh, I'm going to have to call this off. What was I thinking?!"

Scott said to Kurt, trying to calm him down.

"Whoa, calm down! Just wear gloves. She'll never know." he sees Kurt look at him. "Just tell her that you got a rash or something. It's like when anyone hassels me about my shades, I just say that I have an eye condition and they buy it."

"It's similar to how it was with me when a ghost would show up on campus at my old school." Danny adds. "I just make an excuse to use the restroom, and it works."

Evan gives him a weirded out look as he asked.

"That's the best you got?"

"Yeah, but if you got any better excuses, I'm all ears." Danny said with a shrug.

"You know, good point." Evan said after a minute of silence.

Kurt was still worried before he asked in a nervous tone.

"You think it'll... work?"

"What would work?" Jean asked as she took a seat next to Scott.

All the while, no one knew what was happening in the abandoned lab inside the school.

The same demonic saurion creature was trying to break through the portal where Kurt teleported previously.

The sun was setting. With school over for the day, mostly everyone attending the dance were out and about, getting their formal attire ready for the event. Meanwhile, at the Brotherhood house, Tabitha and the boys were currently heckling and teasing Lance about going to the dance with Kitty as well as laughing about it. All the while, Lance just had a sour look as he remained silent.

It was then that Fred said.

"We wouldn't be caught dead at that stupid dance."

While Todd agreed with him, Tabitha had a different reaction as she asked with her wrists on her hips.

"Really, Freddy? Aw, that's too bad." she taps Fred's forehead lightly. "Cuz I was thinking about asking you."

Fred was caught off-guard as he hesitantly asked.

"Uh... you were?"

"Yeah."

All the while, Pietro was lying on the couch while Todd begged to be picked before the speedster said.

"Pathetic."

Lance smirked as he jabbed.

"You saying that because you still didn't score a date with that Fenton girl?"

The others laughed at Pietro's misfortune before teasing. While the speedster did feel the pain in that insult, he brushed it off as he got up and said.

"Eh, she'll come around, eventually."

"Yeah. Keep telling yourself that." Tabitha trased in disbelief.

"So what if I didn't get a date with Fenton's sister, I still have 4 other girls who asked me out." he uses his superspeed to run in circles. "And I can keep them busy dancing all at the same time!" he sits back down on the couch.

"Well, then, let's all go!" Tabitha excitedly dances around. "And let's show that school how to party!"

At the Institute, Kurt was gearing up once more for the next teleportation experiment. Thankfully, for everyone, the dance was only a few hours away until it officially began. Apparently, all of the X-Men saw what the other dimension looked like through the camera footage. Furthermore, they saw a saurion creature that looked demonic in nature.

As Kurt geared up, he was worried while Forge set the timer to stall him longer.

"What if they try to eat me?" he asks.

"That's why I'm going with ya, just in case." Logan said as he, too, was geared up."

Danny casts a skeptical look at Forge while asking.

"Are you sure it'll be safe?"

"Hey. What could go wrong?" Forge asks.

Soon enough, Logan and Kurt disappeared. This time, Kurt was instructed to teleport to the Bayville High gymnasium since it was still dark and empty, despite the decorations being set up. However, during their journey, the creatures were fully aware this time as they tried to attack the two intruders.

Suddenly, after the timer ran out, Logan and Kurt arrived at the gym, looking a little worse for wear. As the burly Canadian removed his breathing mask, he looked at the scratch on his uniform while he snarked.

"Well, I'd say they were pretty hostile, wouldn't you?"

Kurt wasn't joking. Instead, he was ripping off the equipment as he rants in fear.

"That's it! No more teleporting, ever again! Creatures! Claws, teeth! Who needs it?!"

Logan couldn't blame the fuzzy elf as he used his communication stick.

"You better pick up, Charles. There's not gonna be a return trip this time."

All the while, Danny looks at Forge with a raised eyebrow as the Native American teen shrugged sheepishly as he said.

"Okay, so a lot can go wrong."

At the gym, Kurt and Logan didn't notice a small glow as well as a clawed reptilian hand going through before retreating.

"So, when do we get to the good parts?" danifan3000 asks in excitement.

"Soon enough, my friend." guardian1989 said in response.

The FFAV was going through the streets as Jack was in the driver's seat while Professor Xavier was in the passenger's seat while Forge, Kurt, and Logan were in the back.

"Are you nuts?!" Kurt demands in fear. "I am never going again!" he turns to Logan. "Tell him, Wolverine!"

As Forge was trying to negotiate some adjustments to the experiment, Professor Xavier interrupted, saying.

"You won't have to do it again, Kurt. I won't jeapordoze your safety."

As Kurt breathed a sigh of relief and thanked the bald telepath while expressing his fear over teleporting again. Professor Xavier said.

"Kurt, I'm certain those creatures don't present a danger when you teleport, normally. You move through their dimension far too fast to even be aware of your presence."

Logan looks at Forge skeptically as he asks.

"You sure those things won't follow blue boy back here?"

"The only way would be if Kurt's dimensional gates didn't fully close behind him?" Forge explained.

"And what are the odds of that happening?" Logan asks.

"I'd say pretty slim, or it would've happened already." Forge said.

"Well, let's just hope it never does." Jack comments with concern.

"I couldn't agree more." Professor Xavier said in agreement.

It was almost time for the dance to begin. Near the entrance of the Institute, the boys were in their suits, waiting for the girls upstairs to be ready. Tucker was there, too, as well as Sam. For the techno-geek, this was the first date that he agreed on with Amara. Kurt was adjusting his image inducer as Evan noticed.

"Dude, you need to chill."

"I can't help it." Kurt said with worry. "It's my first date."

"Been there, dude." Danny comments.

Soon, they all heard Kitty's voice.

"Like, I hope you are ready."

Soon, the brunette came downstairs in her new dress, followed by Jean in her yellow dress. Scott's jaw hit the floor when he saw her. The redhead smiled at his reaction before she approached him.

"You look beautiful." Scott complimented while blushing.

"Thank you, Scott." Jean said with a smile.

Then, Amara came downstairs in her new purple dress that made Tucker grin. As the Nova Roma princess twirled around once in front of her date, she asked,

"You like it?"

"Yeah! You look great." Tucker said in an excited response.

Suddenly, Rogue spoke up from upstairs as she said while coming down in haste.

"Sorry about the wait. Ah couldn't get mah hair rahght."

The mutant goth girl donned a dark forest green dress that was sleeveless, off the shoulders, and pooled near her feet. She had matching elbow-length gloves and wore the malachite necklace around her neck. Her hair was slicked back as before when she was part of the Bayville Sirens, but she had a strand of white hair coming down her face.

As she approached Danny, Rogue asked,

"What do ya thank?"

Danny felt like his mind went blank as his younger sister noticed with a giggle before she said.

"I think you broke his brain."

Eventually, Danny came to his senses as he said with impression.

"Wow, Rogue. You look amazing."

Rogue blushed as she smiled at his compliment. Never before has she thought of herself as the type to turn heads, but with Danny, it was pretty nice that he was genuinely attracted to her.

Then, Maddie came in with a camera, as she said.

"Everyone gather around."

Danny groaned in embarrassment as he said.

"Mom...!"

"Danny, please. Let me have some pleasantries in life." Maddie said.

With a shrug, Danny led the others to gather around for Maddie to take a few pictures However, before she could do so, the Fenton woman spotted Dani trying to pull the bunny ears prank as she scolds.

"Danielle!"

The little ghost girl stopped with a sheepish grin before leaving the group quickly. After Maddie took a few pictures, the entire group departed the Institute.

The sadie hawkins dance officially began. The DJ was blasting music. There was a refreshment table, a disco ball hanging from the ceiling. Principal Kelly was there to make sure everything was peaceful as the students danced on the floor.

Of course, Kitty went to find Lance so she could dance with him. All others went to the damce floor as well. Even Tabitha, Todd, and Fred arrived before the blonde girl said with enthusiasm while dancing around.

"Come on, guys! Let's get out there and show them how to move!"

Todd noticed Pietro entering before he got the attention of the others and pointed towards the speedster. They see Pietro with four girls with him.

"Whoa, dude!" Fred said with impression.

"Now, that boy knows how to work it." Tabitha comments, equally impressed.

Eventually, a slow song began to play as many couples got together. Even Danny and Rogue did the same thing. In another area of the dance floor, Kurt was dancing with Amanda as he sheepishly said to her.

"Sorry about the gloves. I feel like such a dork. I mean, getting a rash on the day of the dance..."

All the while, the African girl smiled as she said.

"I think they make you look handsome and debonair."

"Really?" Kurt asks. "You don't look think I look like a butler or something?"

Amanda chuckled before she said

"I'm glad you came with me."

"Well, I'm glad you asked." Kurt said in response.

Danny and Rogue noticed at a distance before they continued to dance as the goth said.

"Ah'm glad they're gettin' along."

"Me too." Danny comments.

As they continued to dance, the slow music really got to them. For Rogue, before her powers were upgraded, she had to use extreme caution to ensure no one came in contact with her skin when her mutation kicked in. Now, she had nothing to worry about. With her powers under her own control, she no longer had to worry about knocking out someone by accident. As Danny's girlfriend leaned her head on his chest and closed her eyes, the ghost boy subtly took glances around him.

He sees Tucker and Amara enjoying themselves as they are dancing as well. He was really proud of his friend finding someone who was genuinely interested in him.

As Scott and Jean danced, Danny noticed Duncan giving them sour looks. The ghost boy also noticed Taryn looking at Scott. The ghost boy knew that she probably wanted to ask Scott to the dance, but Jean beat her to him.

In one area, Paulina was subtly glaring at Amara. She caught wind of what she did to Dash in the hallway during school and was virtually dateless. Furthermore, she rejected her unworthy admirers when they asked her to dance. The Latina lets out a sigh before she glances up the ceiling and thinks.

"I wish you were here dancing with me, my ghost boy."

Sam was also there but wasn't in the mood to dance. All she did was watch her best friends dancing with their dates. The human goth took a quick, subtle glance at Danny before looking away.

Meanwhile, in the abandoned lab, the demonic dinosaur finally breaks through as it finds itself inside Bayville High before going into the hallways.

Back in the gym, as Kurt continued to dance with Amanda, the African girl looked into his eyes before she said

"Kurt, I have to confess something." she looks down with her eyes closed. "I know about you." she looks into his eyes again. "That you don't always look like this."

The teleporter was startled as he tried to play it off and said.

"Uh... yeah. This is one of my good days." Kurt had a nervous smile. "You should see me in the mornings."

Amanda wasn't convinced as she said.

"You know what I mean." she points to his chest. "The real you that you hide. Ever since I found out, I can't stop thinking about you."

When Amanda reached to touch his face, Kurt pulled back in fear as he said with hesitation.

"Amanda, I'm not sure what you're talking about." I'm... I'm what you see, that's all."

The girl was silent for a moment before she said with understanding.

"Okay, Kurt. I can wait." she holds him close. "Until you're ready to show me."

Kurt didn't know what to think. Here he was, dancing with a girl he liked, and she somehow knows his secret. However, she didn't display any fear or disgust. Instead, she showed acceptance. It was like a dream come true for him, and it scared him.

At the Institute, Logan, Forge, Professor Xavier, and the Fentons were clearing up the Danger Room and reviewing the data. For Jazz, she was glad that she wasn't at the dance with Pietro. Otherwise, she knew the speedster would be more of a pest than he is now.

"I'm not giving up!" Forge declared. "There's got to be a way to make this work."

"We appreciate your help, Forge." Professor Xavier said. "For now, we need to let Kurt recover."

"I just hope he isn't too scared to use his ability again." Maddie said with worry.

Logan was securing a piece of equipment as he comments.

"The way the elf was talking, I think it'll be a long time before he's ready again."

Suddenly, there was a glow in the Danger Room; a glow that Jazz noticed and asked.

"What's going on in there?"

The rest of the group saw the glow before another demonic dinosaurian creature emerged, setting off several alarms.

In Bayville High, Todd and Fred were exhausted as they were waiting for Tabitha, who was in the girls' bathroom.

"I can't dance anymore." Fred bemoaned.

"Me neither!" Tods said in agreement. "And she's just gettin' warmed up!"

Soon, the boys hear a lizard-like roar before they see the dino-demon in the hallway. Todd shrieked at the sight of it.

"What the hell is that?!"

As Tabitha came out of the restroom, she saw the creature as well before it leaps towards them to attack.

In the gym, Lance and Kitty were dancing, having a good time until the two see a glow as the brunette thought Lance was doing something, but when he said that it's not him, four more dino-demons emerged. Everyone stopped dancing before a panic started, and everyone evacuated, except for a few humans and the mutants.

One demon leaps at Kitty, but she phases through the creature as it slammed into a table behind her.

Danny nods at Rogue, who nodded as well before the ghost boy takes cover under the refreshment table to transform into Danny Phantom before he tackles another demon that was targeting Paulina as turned himself and the demon intangible before they pass through a wall. The Latina shouts at the same wall

"Ghost boy, wait!"

Another demon crept towards Scott and Jean, ready to attack. However, the redhead caught it with her telekinesis when it leaped towards them, allowing her boyfriend to blast it with his optic blast, sending it to the speaker system.

In a different area, the creature that attacked Kitty tried again as it faced her, but Lance was in the way, using his powers to start an earthquake and knocking it off its feet. All the while, Kurt and Amanda see the other one coming their way.

"Kurt, get us out of here!" she begged.

"How? We're trapped!"

"Make us disappear!" she looks at the creature before looking at Kurt. "Hurry! I've seen you do it! Please!"

Kurt was frightened at first, but then he saw the demon about to pounce. Amanda shrieked as she held onto Kurt before the two teleport into one of the school hallways.

"Wow. That was amazing."

"We, obviously, have a lot to talk about, but first, let's get you out of here!" Kurt sees Amanda nod to him. "Come on!"

The two run towards a nearby exit.

Outside the campus, the X-Van, followed by the FFAV, arrive before they parallel park alongside a curb. Logan, Forge, and the Fentons step out of their respective vehicles. Once they get inside the campus, Pietro was about to leave before seeing Jazz here, much to his suprise.

"Hey, cutie. Fancy meeting you here." he said.

Jazz rolled her eyes before she droned in annoyance.

"I haven't got the time to talk right now, so move it."

Pietro smirked as he said

"Anyone told you that you look hot with a gun?"

"Somebody has a boyfriend!" Danielle said in a teasing, sing-song manner.

As the Fenton girl growled in annoyance, Jack steps in between them as he said to Pietro.

"Hey! Keep away from my daughter, you little punk!"

"An old fart calls me a "punk?" HA!" Pietro snarked.

Right when Jack was about to punch him, Jazz stopped him as she said.

"As much as I love to see you pummel him, he's far too fast for you to catch."

"How fast?" Jack asks.

For his answer, Pietro uses his super speed to run past the Fenton man. Jack felt something lightly tap his back before feeling a kick on his ass, making him grunt, a split second later, before being back in front of Jack.

"That fast." Jazz comments.

The speedster gives a mock salute to Jack as he snarked.

"Later days, old fart." Pietro casts a flirtatious look to Jazz. "See you around, cutie."

As Pietro zipped past them to leave, Jack felt something on his back before he ripped it off to see a paper sign with a piece of tape on it. The sign had "Kick me! I'm slow and an old fart!" written on it. Danielle tried to stiffle a laugh as Maddie tried to do the same. All the while, Jack growled as he crumbled the paper.

"Why I oughta...!"

"Dad, we have bigger things to worry about right now." Jazz said.

In the hallways, Danny was rumbling with the dino-demon as the creature tried to pounce on him. However, the ghost boy dodged it before he kicked it into a wall. As the creature got up, Danny charged his fists with ice blue energy.

"Dude. It's time to send you back to the Ice Age."

When the creature leaped again, Danny fired an ice blast, freezing it. Then, he sees Rogue kick the frozen demon into a wall. The ice shattered, but the creature was ready to collapse as it tried to get up. As boyfriend and girlfriend were ready to back each up, four neon green energy beams hit it before an electric blue beam hits it, making it disappear.

The couple see their friends, Lance, and Danny's family behind them. Forge was with them as he had a device of sorts in his hands.

"Are you guys okay?" Scott asks.

"Yeah. We're good." Danny said.

"Well, that takes care of the four creatures in the gym." Jean comments. "Logan is scouting around the school for others."

"But there's probably an open portal in my lab." Forge said. "We got to hurry and get it closed, or they'll keep coming."

As they follow Forge to the lab, Sam asks the Native American genuis.

"So, mind telling us what's going on?"

"Kurt's portals didn't close because of my gizmo." Forge explains. "When one of the creatures got into the Danger Room, we knew they'd probably show up here, too."

When they got another area of the hallways, the group saw another dino-demon, but this one was pinned, courtesy of Fred literally sitting on it. Todd and Tabitha were there, too.

"Well, looks like you got everything under control, here." Scott comments with impression.

"Yeah. No problem." Fred said in response.

Forge approached the group as he said.

"Out of the way." he aims his device. "It's going bye-bye now."

Todd looks at it and says.

"Hey, I've seen that thing before."

"This is a new one." Forge states. "With special modifications to send these bad boys back where they came from."

As the group advances to the lab, Lance stayed behind with the rest of the Brotherhood while Tabitha shook her head for an unknown reason. In the lab, Forge was able to close the last portal before any more dino-demons could break through as they breathed a sigh of relief.

"That's all of them." Forge said.

Danny looks around as he asks.

"Has anyone seen Kurt?"

"Last I saw him, he was with another girl and..." Tucker said before pausing.

The group put two and two together instantly as Sam comments.

"Oh boy, I hate to think what'll happen now."

"Damn! Pietro did Jack dirty!" danifan3000 said between laughs.

"Yeah. He's literally toying with him." giardian1989 said, amused as well.

Once the two calmed down, the guest said.

"Now to see the ending of this chapter."

In the streets, Kurt and Amanda were walking next to one another as the former asked.

"So, how did you know?"

"A year ago. I saw you arguing with your friend at school." Amanda answered. "I already liked you then, but I don't think you knew who I was."

Kurt was silent as Amanda continued.

"Anyways, when you suddenly changed into..." she paused for a second. "something else and the disappeared, I couldn't believe it. At first, I thought it had to be some kind of trick or something."

They stop walking as Amanda looked at Kurt while she said.

"But I couldn't stop thinking about it. I... I haven't told anyone else. I mean, who would believe me?" Amanda smiles at Kurt. "All I knew was, I had to get to know you."

Kurt was astonished. This girl knew his secret, but kept quiet about it for a year. Yet, she does not show any signs of fear or disgust as he hesitantly said.

"I... I don't know what to say."

"Will you show me, please?" Amanda asks. "Like I saw you that day?"

Kurt was nervous as he said to her.

"Uh... you won't like what you'll see up close."

"Let me decide that." Amanda said assuringly.

Kurt was more nervous than before he hesitantly prepared to deactivate his image inducer as he said.

"All right, here goes..."

Amanda sees the hologram disappear, revealing Kurt's true appearance as she slightly gasped and took one step back.

"Well?" Kurt asks.

Amanda approached with a smile, as she said while placing a hand on his cheek.

"Did you know that blue is my favorite color?"

Kirt smiled as he now saw that Amanda truly accepted him completely. They link arms as he said.

"So, I know a good shortcut to the ice cream shop. Up for it?"

"I'm buying." Amamda offers.

"Oh, an offer you may regret." Kurt comments.

They teleport out of the neighborhood to their intended destination.

Hours have passed. Tucker was about to leave the Institute as Amara said.

"I enjoyed our time together, Tucker."

"So did I." Tucker said. "Sorry about our first date being ruined by what happened."

Amara smiled as she said.

"There's always another day."

Tucker smiled as he asked.

"I guess I'll see you tomorrow, then?"

Amara answers by kissing Tucker on the lips before he collapses onto the floor, making the Nova Roma princess chuckle. The boy regains his strength as he stands up before walking out with a lovestruck smile.

Moments later, Kirt enters the Institute with a smile on his own face, as Jean noticed.

"Kurt? What happened?" she asks.

Kurt didn't say anything. His smile told the redhead telepath volumes as the fuzzy elf teleported to his room.

On the rooftop of the Institute, Danny and Rogue were still in their formal attire as the ghost boy had an mp3 player connected to a speaker system

"What is this?" Rogue asks in curiosity

"I thought we should pick up where we left off." Danny said. "Before those things started to attack."

Rogue nodded in response as Danny played a slow song; one that was by the artist named Jordan Hill as Rogue recognized it.

"The song that was played at the dance?" she asked.

"The very same." Danny said.

They used their own flight powers as they levitate several feet off the roof.

Every now and then

We find a special friend

Who never let's us down

Who understands it all

Reaches out each time you fall

You're the best friend that I've found

The couple continued to dance in the night sky, under the full moon.

I know you can't stay

But part of you will never ever go away

Your heart will stay

I'll make a wish for you

And hope it will come true

That life would just be kind

To such a gentle mind

If you lose your way

Think back on yesterday

Remember me this way

Ooh, ooh

Remember me this way.

And done. Stay tuned for the next chapter where Amanda visits the Institute and learns further of mutants.

The guests pack up as danifan3000 said.

"That was a good chapter."

"Thanks, I appreciate it." guardian1989 said.

"So, with Amanda coming to the Institute, does that mean she'll be the first to accept mutants?" danifan3000 asks.

"Well, my friend, let's just say she won't be the last." guardian1989 said.

"I wonder if Kitty will show Star and Valerie?" danifan3000 comments. "And how they will react to it?"

"You'll have to wait and see, like the readers have to." guardian1989 said.

"Fair enough."

The host sees some boxes leftover that still had pizza as he focused his attention to the Warners.

"Hey guys. Can you send those to NeoMark's realm?" guardian1989 asks.

"Will do." the Warner siblings say simultaneously.

Once the guests leave, the author turns to the readers as he prepares to flick the lights off.

"Til next time."

Khy Dragon: Hope this will give you a clue.

Zach Gemini: Interesting.

Jaded671: I'm glad you liked the part where Dani used blackmail to join the team.

DJ Rodriguez: Actually, Danny and Rogue didn't get into an argument. It was Scott and Jean who did.

NiteOwl18: Thank you.

danifan3000: Yes, it would be amusing, IF Danny was the same age as the 97 counterpart of Rogue.

Jebest4781: Thank you.

Dragonrule: You'll see.
