Riley& Madeline & the Talking Parrot -
: In an old house in Paris that was covered with vines, lived thirteen little girls in two straight lines they left the house at half past nine (Paris clock tower bell rings) in two straight lines, (Thunder) in rain or shine in rain or shine the oldest one was Riley and the Smallest one was Madeline.
Madeline said Bonjour Bonjour Bonjour
babies babbling
: on a warm and sunny day Miss Clavel took the girls out to Play.
(Talking and Laughing)
: they d run in the park with all their might and watch while the other flew a Kite. . As the kite drifted through the air, a strong breeze came out of nowhere and the kite started to slip out of Madeline's hands. Luckily Nicole, Riley, and Chole grabbed onto the string as the kite spun around pulling the girls backwards.
Nicole said look Out Madeline Look out
as the Kite twisted through the air it finally slowed down but it got caught in the Branches of a tree. The string had twisted around the branch
Riley said it is just twisted.
: Riley looked up at the kite in the Tree and gulped. she had not told her friends that she was afried of high places without a railing protecting her. Madeline looked at her sister wondering why she had a worried look on her face. Shrugging it off,

Madeline grabbed the kite and came down the tree.

Riley shook her head, and called who is there.
The answer came from the other side of the tree. The group of girls walked around to the other side of the tree and they were all surprised to see a yellow and Green Parrot on the tree branch looking down at them.
The Parrot repeated Riley's question, who is there who is there
Riley said ah i asked you first
The parrot whistled and answered i asked you (Squawk) Where am I.
Madeline, Chole, Nicole and Riley laughed
Riley said through her giggles. can you not see you are in a tree.
Riley then held her hand out and the parrot came down landing on her hand.

Madeline came and stood next to her sister
as the twins examined the bird. (Madeline and Riley loved animals.)
: After examining the bird, Riley and Madeline saw that the bird could not fly so she called Miss Clavel to come and see why?
Dropping the kite Madeline went to her teacher and explained what had happened.

Miss Clavel looked at the parrot and said Something had happened to his wing. Oh the poor thing.

Chole looked sad and asked ``what is an injured parrot doing all along in the park Miss Clavel?"

The group of girls looked at each other confused.
Madeline said sadly he must be lost
Chole said oui the poor thing is lost.
: Riley knew if they left the bird alone he would have more trouble trying to find his way home.

Miss Clavel thought it over for a few minutes before she nodded. The girls got into their two lines.
: heading for home at urgent spend with Riley and Madeline and the parrot in the lead. when the girls got home, the group hurried to the kitchen. however the girls didn't know what the bird ate.
"Uh Riley do you know what parrots eat? Madeline asked her sister.
Riley said well I've seen some ladies feed some bread crumbs to the pigeons. Miss Clavel do we have any bread?"
"Sorry Riley we're all out." Miss Clavel told the little girl "Why don't you try some crackers though?" as she handed Riley a box of crackers.
The girls each took turns feeding the parrot.

: they fed him some food and then tended his wing with a red and white kerchief that they used as a sling.

The teacher went to the phone and dialed the Number of Lord CucuFace. Miss Clavel explained what had happened.
Lord Cucuface was shocked by what he heard on the other end of the phone and exclaimed "a Parrot" ? They wish to keep a parrot ? I will be there immediately. Hanging up his phone the man turned to his son who was doing his homework and said to him, Michael you can finish your Homework later we have to Head to the Old house." Michael cheered silently and smiled.
He then said alright Dad Let's go. Lord Cucuface grabbed the rule book and both he and his son left.
After arriving at the old house,

As the day turned into night. Late after dinner after the girls had brushed their teeth and were getting into their nightgowns,

: That night as they slept in their beds up the stairs they dreamed that the parrot would alway be their but right after Midnight. Madeline awoke startled as she thought she heard the sound of cries.

Madeline finally understood that the Parrot didn't want to be kept as a pet.

Madeline stroked the parrot's feathers as she heard a couple of yawns behind her.

Riley & Madeline Laughed and hugged Rocco back.
Monsieur Conductor said this is Magnifique Mademoiselle Marcie beaucoup I have missed him so much

When the train pulled back into the station Miss Clavel invited both the Conductor and Rocco to come back to the old house for dinner.

After arriving back at the old house the girls went to wash up for dinner.
; now the conductor had one more Supries Madeline and Riley could' not believer their eyes because they had returned his pride and Joy he wanted them to have this toy.
The toy was an electric toy train with two flat cars perfect for holding bread and butter. Which exactly what it did at dinner.
