"Thanks Dad. I finished so fast with your help."

Hope had been working on the application for the internship opportunity at the prestigious Stark Industries for what felt like forever. Jake had pulled up a chair to help. She was saved from her confusion due to her dad. They answered the questions together and Hope was now able to eat dinner.

"Just helping my favorite daughter!"

"Alright you two, no more hounding the computer for tonight. Hope, I thought you said you were done with your homework." Kate exclaimed.

"I did, I was working on the application for the internship."

"I knew we picked a great school for you when we moved."

"You know, I'm really hungry. Let's get some food." Jake said.

Dinner was quick. Kate had eaten and Jake got a work phone call, so Hope was eating alone. She was discouraged, her family didn't even seem to care. This is a once in a lifetime event and her parents were off doing their own thing. 'Well we moved cause of me, I don't know what I expected.'

Friday, 8:00pm

After making sure May wouldn't be bothering Peter, supposedly in his room, he went out into the night. May was tired from trying to make that which shall not be named for the new neighbors and her day, so she was passed out, on the couch.

The city was crackling with nightlife. People moved like they had no time in the world, going from one event to the next.

Spider-Man spotted a woman using an ATM. A masked individual (another masked individual) came up to her. But before he could get close, Spider-Man shot down and landed between the women and the assailant. "Buddy what's the knife for." Spider-Man rhetorically iterated. Before he could even finish his sentence Buddy was trying to run for dear life.

And so the night moved on, Peters' could never move fast enough and Hopes' night, the same.

Saturday, 7:33am

Peter was a little groggy from his night out saving the world. He knew May was speaking to someone on the phone, in hushed tones. Normally, it would be indistinguishable from prying ears. Peter could hear everything and he had the sense his aunt was angry. She isn't prone to anger, especially this early in the morning. May usually slept in, unless she deemed something important. One time Peter awoke to the kitchen covered in elephant toothpaste. If May hadn't rushed outside, she could have really gotten hurt. That stuff is HOT! His aunt didn't lose her cool, that wasn't her style. She used her trusty mini fire extinguisher and entered the house to save Peter. He was already on the fire escape, trying to execute a plan he had yet to come up with. It's safe to say they had to have a family meeting to discuss the dangers of outside activities, conducted inside. By the time Peter came back to reality, from the memory, his aunt disconnected the call. Peter hoped this wasn't about his internship. He was looking forward to it. He'd have time to spend with Tony and show him his real skills in the science department. Still in his Spider-Man suit, with pajamas over it, he changed into some lounge clothes. He wanted to stay home and have a nothing day. He could rarely make time for those.

He went to the living room and found May on the laptop. It had been Peters' but after he got to high school he needed a new one for the advanced projects that would come. It had served him well. He even named it Aeril. May was worried when she came home and Peter would tell her Aeril taught him the new theory his brain wrapped around. She thought it was an imaginary friend, he was far too old to be having one. "Good morning."

"Morning Sleepy. How'd you sleep?" commented May.

"I was so excited about starting the internship, don't think I got much sleep."

"You could have come to me."

"I did, you looked soo peaceful. I didn't want to disturb you." This was a lie. One that worked all the time. Peter was out all night.

"Don't you worry about that. I could use a little less sleep." May said while ruffling Peter's hair.

Peter wanted to ask about the phone call but knew May would bring it up, on her own.

Peter thankfully, was awarded the day he wanted. He stayed home, preparing for his internship by reading random books and articles. He came across a reddit post saying the Spider-Man channel was run by a relative of Spider-Man. It wasn't getting much traction. It was decided Peter wouldn't post for at least two weeks.

May poked her head in around the afternoon. "Still stuck in your room?" she said.

"I'm readying for the internship with Tony. He always says to be on your toes."

"About that…"

Author's Notes: it's been awhile. I completely forgot about this, until a got a PM. Thank you again for reminding me. It was even deleted from my files!

These are the references from the last chapter

The show are you smarter than a fifth grader? This show was messed up. the contestants would always lose.

The song love lies by Khalid and Normani

The movie Twilight (lifeblood) I don't like these moves, they were always strange.

The last one is also referenced in this chapter, clearly. Can you find it? There are 2 references this time!

I say this theory saying Peter posts Spiderman on a video platform, like youtube. I wanted to incorporate it; not sure if it's cannon
