"Move, Michael, move any part." Kitt cries out in desperation.

"Please, Michael..." He adds while guarding the still body of his best friend.

Kitt's worst nightmare has come true - his best friend was gunned down while trying to keep the bad guys from leaving the scene of a crime. It doesn't matter what the crime is anymore, according to the frantic computer who called emergency services only moments before.

Now, the wait begins.

Waiting is the part Kitt hates the most while watching the blood flow away from Michael's chest. The blood stains his shirt and leather jacket. Blood on the concrete. Blood seared into the soul of the AI.

What will I do if Michael dies?* Kitt processes in his CPU. Many emotions churn within him.

Fear that his best friend will be gone forever.

Guilt for not protecting Michael even though he chose to leave the car.

Anger for the man responsible for shooting his best friend- Michael- The man he is programmed to serve. So angry, Kitt thinks of revenge if his best friend dies.

Revenge? Would it help? Revenge is a dish best served cold, as the saying goes. Will revenge be the only thing I have left?* Kitt dismisses the thought from his CPU for now.

Lastly, Kitt feels love. Love for the man who's been in his life for the past four years. Love beyond friendship. Love beyond romantic. Love beyond familial.

*I can't lose him, I won't lose him.* Kitt vows as he waits.

Finally, the sirens are in the air, and the ambulance stops close to Michael. "The paramedics are here, Michael. Please hold on. I'll be right behind you." The AI promises while Michael is gently picked up, placed onto a stretcher, and wheeled into the waiting ambulance.

"I love you, Michael," Kitt whispers as he drives close behind the ambulance, heading toward the nearest hospital.
