Tommy and Eddie, two members of the LAFD, are on their way to Buck's place after a basketball game. Suddenly, a noise interrupts their conversation, causing them to stop. Eddie, who recently came out to Tommy as aroace, finds comfort in the older man's support. They exchange a look of confusion, unsure of what to expect.
"Eddie?" A voice calls out. Eddie turns to see Carlos coming towards them.
"Tommy, Carlos, a friend of mine, and Buck. Carlos, Tommy, Buck's boyfriend. Everything okay, Carlos?" Eddie introduces the two while asking Carlos. Both shake hands.
"Have you seen TK? TK is my husband," Carlos asks Eddie and informs Tommy. Eddie shakes his head. There was a scream within Buck's apartment, making the three freeze. Eddie opens the door and pales. His face is full of hurt and betrayal. Carlos chokes back the tears, and Tommy is heartbroken. They see TK riding Buck and Buck leaving hickeys all over TK. The two look at the three in shock.
"Carlos! Eddie!" TK shouts.
"Eds! Tommy!" Buck pulls back. Tommy pulls Eddie behind him to protect the man. Eddie grabs Tommy and Carlos and drugs them out of the apartment. He drives them to the 118. Once at the station, and guides Tommy and Carlos to the kitchen. Eddie grabs water and food for the three of them.
"Eddieto?" A man asks his nephew. Eddie ignores him and focuses on the two hurting men.
"How can I help you?" Eddie asks them. Tommy holds his arms out, and Eddie goes in. The two are comfortable enough to hug. Tommy has been his biggest supporter since coming out, next to Karen.
"Carlos? Are you okay?" Judd asks his friend. He's seen the heartbreak in all three faces and is concerned.
"TK cheated on me with Buck," Carlos admits out loud and bursts into tears. Judd rushes to pull his friend into a hug. He sees the unknown man in tears.
"Are you Buck's boyfriend?" Judd asks softly. Eddie smiles melancholy at him. Judd's jaw tightens. Judd inhales and exhales.
"Ninto?" Someone asks, and Eddie sees a woman standing behind him with a soft expression.
"Buck's my best friend. My partner. For him to cheat on his boyfriend, tía. I don't know him, tía," Eddie says, shielding his face in Tommy's neck.
"Eddie? Tommy? What's wrong?" Bobby asks his men.
Eddie tells the man, "Buck cheated on Tommy with TK. " Bobby is surprised at what he hears. Owen Strand is next to him with wide eyes.
"I have four chocolate brownies. Do you want some?" Bobby asks the three hurting men. Eddie nods, and Bobby smiles at the man, his third son. He places a plate of brownies in front of them.
"Can I change shifts, Bobby?" Eddie asks his captain. The man smiles sorrowfully.
Bobby gives him several options: "I can transfer you to the 217 or 147 as a paramedic or to the 221 and 122 as search and rescue. "
"I haven't been to the 122 for a while. Is Alejandra still there?" Eddie asks him. Bobby smiles amusingly.
"She is. She needs a partner right now," Bobby knows that Eddie loves Alejandra. The two are a nightmare when working together. Eddie grins, and Tommy laughs.
"I'll let Captain Deluca know you are coming his way," Bobby tells him. Tommy looks at his former captain in surprise.
"Sal is the captain of the 122?" He asks, and Bobby grins.
"He got promoted last week," Bobby tells him.
"Good for him," Tommy says.
"Tommy? Eddie?" Donovan's voice calls out.
"In the loft area," Eddie tells him. Tommy hisses. People are shocked to see someone who looks like Tommy, and the man is worried.
"What happened? Are you two alright?" Donovan asks them. Eddie gets up and lets the brothers hug.
"Buck cheated on me. Don, I don't need you to kill him. Let him suffer," Tommy tells his twin. The man introduces Eddie to his twin when Eddie comes out to Tommy. Donovan has helped Eddie with so much of being an aroace. Donovan became Eddie's valued friend when he couldn't go to the 118 for help.
"I'm sorry, Tommy. I know that you loved Buck," Donovan tells him. Tommy smiles sadly.
"It'll get better in time," Tommy tells them.
"I guess a divorce lawyer would be good to find," Carlos says, and Eddie winces. He goes to the man, and Carlos smiles and hugs him.
"Thank you, Eddie," Carlos whispers to him. Judd has a hand on Carlos's shoulder.
"You can stay with Gracie and me for however long you like, man. Whatever you need, I can get it for you. That way, you don't have to see TK if you don't want to," Judd offers him.
"I can make TK stay with me if you want, or I can get your stuff if need to. I can't tell you why TK would do something like this, but I'm sorry. You don't deserve to be cheated on, Carlos," Owen tells his son-in-law.
"Thank you, both of you. I'm going to stay with my mom after we go back. Judd, can you come with me to get my stuff?" Carlos asks the older man.
"Of course, brother," Judd tells him.
"I'm going to stay with Donovan for a while, Eddie, and we're taking Carlos with us. Call if you need anything," Tommy tells Eddie. The man smiles and hugs Tommy.
"Let me know how I can help you," Eddie tells him. He hugs Donovan and whispers.
"Let me know what I can do to help," Donovan smiles.
"I will. Are you still on for Friday?" He asks, and Eddie smiles and nods happily. Eddie hugs Carlos and lets the other hurting man go with the twins.
"Yes," Eddie bounces a little. Donovan chuckles a little. The twins and Carlos leave the station. Five minutes later, Evan Buckley and TK Strand come in. The rest of 118 and 126 look at them with confusion while Eddie and Judd glare at the two.
"Tommy?" Buck asks Eddie. Buck can see how hurt Eddie is and sinks.
"Carlos?" TK asks Eddie and Judd.
"You missed them," Eddie tells them. However, Eddie looks at Buck with hurt and sadness.
"Eddie," Buck reaches for his best friend, but a man steps in front of Eddie.
"Don't touch my little brother," The man says. Buck pulls back.
"I don't know you anymore, Buck. You'll still have Chris on Friday, as I have plans, but give me time," Eddie tells him. Buck flinches but nods.
"Let me know when we can talk," Buck tells him. Eddie smiles weakly at him.
"What were you thinking, TK? What made you cheat on Carlos?" Judd questions the younger man.
"I love Carlos, but I'm tired of not being told the truth. He cheated on Iris with me, so I want him to feel what it's like to be cheated on," TK tells him. He doesn't feel remorse for cheating on his husband. Eddie holds Judd back.
"What made you cheat on Tommy, Buck?" Eddie asks softly. Buck looks down, ashamed.
"I don't love him," Buck whispers. Eddie walks away. Bobby frowns at the man in front of him. Three days later, Eddie is with Tommy, Donovan, and Sal. Tommy tells Sal what happened, and the man makes Tommy stay with him. Donovan stays with Eddie. The 118 has stayed neutral about Buck's cheating on Tommy, and that pissed Eddie off.
TK stayed in LA with Buck when the 126 went back to Austin, and the two became a couple. The 126 hasn't contacted TK since, which made TK cry. However, Bobby told TK that it was his doing. Eddie stays with the 122, which makes Bobby sad, but he understands. Sal has protected him, as he kept the Buck away from Eddie.
Sal and Tommy are married three years later, with TK and Buck. Eddie and Buck are slowly repairing their relationship, while Donovan has been by Eddie's side. Carlos is in a relationship with a man, slowly mending his heart. Donovan and Eddie are in a platonic relationship.
