Disclaimer: I don't own anything this is just a story for fun.

There was a massive pharmaceutical cooperation company in Italy known as the DNA Bio Reactor Corporation, or DBR Corporation for short. It was a powerful company that had been founded in the 1880s and was still going strong. The company was run by descendants of the original founders. The current founder was a mysterious and secretive man by the name of Thornheart. He was a very smart man good at business and science, who harbored a strong contempt for humanity. Thornheart saw humans as weak creatures who had stopped trying to evolve to their full potential. He saw demons as better creatures capable of reaching greatness humans could never possible reach. In his mind demons were humans next step in evolution.

Thornheart and his company formed a business relationship with a group known as the Order of the Sword who studied demons and had created artificial demons as well as grant members of their organization demonic powers and capabilities. Thornheart was very interested in the Order of the Sword's work and had even formed a bit of a friendship with the leader of the organization Sanctus and the head scientist and researcher Agnus. The partnership was good, until both Sanctus and Agnus were killed by a Devil Hunter named Dante and a member of the Order of the Sword named Nero. Thornheart was devastated and angered by the news of his friends deaths and he used all his power and connections to save what research he could to continue the work in his own vision and vowed revenge of both Dante and Nero.

Despite his best work and efforts Thornheart made only a little progress with what he had been able to acquire and salvage from Agnus's research and records. Things got worse for Thornheart when he was diagnosed with a deadly disease. Thornheart's colleague a man by the name of Caleb Goldman suggested of hiring a brilliant scientist by the name Doctor Roy Curien and letting him take a crack at the work to see if he could make a breakthrough. Goldman's reasons for this was not only Curien brilliant, but he also had a son named Daniel who suffered from a similar disease like Thornheart, which would make Curien more determined to make a breakthrough with the research. Thornheart saw the reasoning and agreed to bring Curien in proving him with a mansion laboratory facility, staff, and plenty of funding as well as access to Agnus's research and records.

Curien determined to save his son's life dove into the project with gusto. He worked hard conducting test and experiments with chemicals mixed with samples of various demon blood, which he tested on cadavers. There were failures, but on one test the cadavers began to move as if they were fully alive! Curien was very exited by this development and after a few more tests and experiments he created a safe formula for humans that would cure both Daniel and Thornheart of their diseases. The formulas were delivered and Thornheart was very pleased.

Thornheart saw the potential in Curien's research and what it could do for the rest of the world and humanity. He encouraged Curien to keep pushing forward with his research as he used his company and connections to acquire more demons to be harvested for their blood for the experiments. Soon a new age of evolution would begin!

To be continued.
