Chapter 10 Gold Offer

Deep within the DPR Corporation building there were many labs. Some were open to the public, while others were kept secret. In one of the secret labs, Goldman along with a few members of his staff were making some final adjustments to a pod of liquid that was healing the Magician as well as restraining the mutant. The Magician had his lost limbs restored though they were heavily scarred and rotten, with worm-like creatures wriggling in his left eye and other parts of his body.
"It is time to resurrect and awaken the Magician." Said Goldman to his employees.
One of the scientists pushed some buttons and a surge of energy went through the Magician as his body began to stir against his restraints. After failing to break free from the restraints the Magician spoke.
"What is this? Where am I and where is Dante?"
"Relax Magician. You are in a safe place. Dante defeated you, but my people found you and brought you to my headquarters where your body was repaired and resurrected. My name is Goldman." Said Goldman in a calm commanding voice.
"Do you wish to control me, like the fool with the glasses? It did not end well for him." Said Magician.
"No it didn't end so well for Curien. I'm not like him and my goals are a bit grander and more noble then him. You see I wish to punish humanity for their destruction of planet Earth. To do this a new superior race must rise and takeover destroying a majority of the humans in the process. I have used Curien's work to help create a new race of beings. One being in particular shall be the new ruler of the world and lead this planet into a new age. I wish for you to serve and aid my creations in this endeavor and in doing so you will have your chance of revenge on Dante. Now do you wish to work with me?" Said Goldman.
The Magician thought silently about what Goldman had said. He liked what he heard about taking over the world and the chance to get revenge on Dante sounded good as well. The Magician could also sense a powerful demonic energy in another part of the building, which he assumed to be the creature Goldman had created to be the new ruler of the world. The energy felt very strong, stronger then the Magician himself. The Magician weighed his options and decided Goldman's offer sounded good.
"Very well. I shall work with you and assist your creations in conquer in this world." Said Magician.
"Excellent. With your aid the success of my plans have greatly increase. Dante and his allies will stand no chance against us." Said Goldman as he pushed a button removing the restraints on the Magician.
"And revenge shall be mine." Vowed Magician.
