"Final tunnel ahead!" Nicholas remarked brightly. "We're almost there, girls! Travel guide says the direct path through Chargestone Cave is only a few hours hike from Mistralton. And great time, too. Six days to make it here? Let's keep up this pace." He gestured. "Jade, Melody, you two are taking the lead now. Chargestone Cave gets its name from the natural electromagnetic fields generated from the crystal structures that run through the mountains. That means Electric-types alongside the usual cave suspects. We ready to move or do you two need a quick break?"

"You kidding? Kiana and Ada have been taking care of everything, I'm itching to get out in front," Melody replied immediately. "You just stay back with Nick, Alpha. Get some rest."

Kiana chuckled as the Palpitoad leapt forwards. "Just as long as you don't try and bury us again, Melody."

Melody pulled up at the warning and cleared her throat. "Eh-hem. Of course, Alpha."

Nicholas whistled softly as they moved inside. Waves of electricity raced across the walls and ceiling and all around them deposits of deep blue crystal sprouted from the earth. The electricity, combined with the semi-translucent crystal, meant the entire place was lit by a soft blue glow.

"The road seems decently maintained, at least," he said, following Melody and Jade as they moved deeper into the cave. "The travel guides did warn that the crystals in the cave shift occasionally, girls. Don't know exactly what that means but don't just wander off down a side path."

Melody was pushing past a crystal, the electricity running down it harmless surging over her skin, when her head turned. "I hear something."

"Close?"

Melody listened, the others coming to a halt behind her until she shook her head. "No. But there's definitely something in here."

"Wouldn't expect anything less," Nicholas muttered. "Right. Let's move fast. Kalmiya, can you check maps of the cave and give Jade and Melody directions if necessary?"

"Yes, Master."

"Good."

They discovered the 'shifting' crystals before long. Melody pulled up when she saw the floating chunk in the middle of the path. "Um."

"That's not supposed to be there, is it?"

Melody grunted and poked at the obstacle, but it just pulled back into place once she'd stopped. "Floating rocks surging with electricity in the middle of the road? Doesn't feel like it is, no."

"Can we…" Nicholas trailed off as he looked around. There was space to squeeze past the crystal but it would be tight. They might get a shock. "Huh."

"I mean, it's moving, maybe if I…" Melody started, giving the crystal a harder shove before starting to wiggle it around. "Why's it just sitting in the same place like this? There's nothing holding it."

"The short answer is that there is," Nicholas replied. "Just not something physical. Could you maybe hold it far enough out of the way that the rest of us can safely slip past?"

"Yeah, I guess," Melody grumbled, grabbing the crystal and straining as she pulled it to the side. "Damn! It really doesn't want to- WHOAH!"

The others jumped back when the crystal abruptly leapt from Melody's hands and rocketed off in the direction she'd been pulling, leaving the Palpitoad to lose her balance and slam to the ground. A low electric whine could be heard as the crystal flew through the air until with a deafening crash it slammed into a nearby outcropping and stuck there, tendrils of electricity arcing down the surface.

This time everyone heard the response from the cave and Nicholas quickly moved forwards, gesturing for the rest of the harem to follow. "I think we've just alerted the place to our presence!" he called, chittering and clicking beginning to rise in volume all around them. "I know we could stand and fight but I'd rather not waste the day beating back every single nearby wild pokegirl!"

"A few hours, you said?" Adalinda asked as she slithered forwards. "A few hours to Mistralton? You want us to run and fight for hours?"

"Too much for my dragon to handle?" Nicholas asked with a cheeky grin over his shoulder.

"You're insufferable," Adalinda growled.

Kiana huffed softly as she brought up the rear. "It makes sense to get out of the area we just disturbed, Master," she called, "but maintaining a hard pace for the entire cave is not the solution."

Nicholas nodded to himself. "Call for when we need a rest then, Kiana."

"I will, Master."

The noises were just getting louder as they ran and Nicholas could see flashes of the wild pokegirls around them until suddenly… silence. He blinked, not letting up the pace as he followed Adalinda alongside Melody and Jade. That was… odd. Why would they stop following…?

A sudden scream from ahead forced Nicholas to slam on the breaks and he skid, eyes widening when Adalinda's thrashing body revealed the massive spiderweb she had slithered straight into. "Ada!" Nicholas cursed when he heard the movement begin again. Many, many more tapping steps this time. "Crap, the other wild pokegirls broke off because we were running straight into a Galvantula's nest. Ada, are you-?"

Adalinda's back arched with another scream when the translucent strands she was stuck to suddenly blazed with life, electric current pumping into the Serperior as the hairs on the back of Nicholas' neck stood up and he looked towards the ceiling to see a massive shadow breaking from the roof clutter. "FORM UP! Jade, free Ada!"

"I've got-" Adalinda started, biting off another scream as the Galvantula sent more power pumping through her web. "This… This SUCKS, but I can handle it! AGH!" With a shout she forced her arm around, the scales running along the back lengthening into glowing green blades that sent sparks flying when they tried to cut into the silk. "Fuck!"

"JADE!"

Jade hadn't needed a second command. She was already stampeding straight for the web as all around them dozens of smaller figures were appearing from the shadows. With a roar the Golett sent a fist flying for one of the more aggressive Joltik, bowling her back before lowering her shoulder and running straight in next to Adalinda.

The web stretched impressively far under Jade's weight, but it didn't break. Not until the Golett reached out, wrapping her fingers into the strands and beginning to pull.

The tension was taken up first, Jade's efforts bringing the strands taught underneath her and slowly forming slack around Adalinda, who used the opportunity to get a better angle and cut one of her arms free before moving to work on the rest of her body. Snaps and pops could be heard across the web as the Galvantula began chittering angrily and raced down towards Jade, all six of her limbs working in tandem to propel her quickly towards the straining intruder.

"Kiana, Melody!" Nicholas pointed to the two waves of incoming Joltik. "Keep those ferals off Jade's back until Ada can get free! Shouldn't be too hard for either of you, I hope."

Melody moved forwards and held up a fist as Kiana pushed up beside her. "I can bury these ones, right Alpha?"

Kiana glanced at the offered hand and after a moment grinned, letting her fangs break free as she thumped the back of Melody's fist with her own. "Just don't drop the cave on us, Melody."

"No promises!" Melody joked, jumping forwards before Kiana could respond and running for the first wave. Behind her Kiana's grin widened before the Arcanine turned and ran the other direction, her flames lighting her fur until she blitzed straight into the second wave and sent them flying in every direction.

Lightning was spewing from the crowds as the Joltik tried and failed to slow the two threats and many fell when Melody screamed, her voice giving her enough room to drop to her knees and bring both fists slamming against the ground just as she had against Clay. The shockwave ripped through the horde before Melody looked up, staring at the dozen or more Joltik struggling to get back to her feet, and slowly lifted her fists to her eyes. As she did laughter burst from her chest, growing in volume before her fingers tightened down painfully hard and she leapt back to her feet as she began to glow.

Unseen to Kiana or the evolving Melody, there was some movement near the back of the waves of Joltik. Eyes, staring at the two fighting pokegirls. Eyes that flicked past them to where Nicholas stood. A body, slipping past the crowd that streamed in towards the battlefield.

"I'M GOOD!" Adalinda yelled, finally cutting the last of the web from her body and falling away from the descending Galvantula. "GET HER, JADE!"

Jade barely glanced up at the furious feral. "Too far." With one last heave the anchors holding the web to the cave burst, the broken strands flailing about as with a squawk the Galvantula found her web losing all tension and she fell straight for where Jade stood.

Where she was met by the Golett's fist, Jade torquing her body around with a roar and punching straight through the unfortunate feral. The Galvantula was flung away in a spin, her extra limbs only serving to catch more of her web so that when her body came to a halt some distance away it was hopelessly tangled up.

"Appreciate the help," Adalinda gasped, her chest heaving as she fought to recover from the constant shocks. "I thought it was about to be a repeat of that gym battle after I first met you."

Jade turned. "This is not a gym battle, Adalinda."

Adalinda just rolled her eyes and returned to picking the Galvantula's web from her skin. "I'm thanking you. You understand what that is, right?"

A heavy hand thumped down on her shoulder as Jade stepped past. "Yes. You are welcome." Jade stilled. A shadow, slipping in behind… "KEEPER!"

Nicholas blinked. "Hm…?" When he saw the Golett charging straight for him he raised his hands. "Whoa, what's…" he trailed off. It was Jade. There was only one good reason for her to be coming at him as if she was about to attack. "Oh, shi-"

He tried to turn, but the Joltik was already on top of him, bypassing a surprised Cathy and he yelped when he was thrown off balance and began to fall with the chittering arachnid pokegirl on top of him. He couldn't even properly fight her as she had two arms to restrain his and two more to go for his body and head. Stars exploded in his eyes when his head slammed against the stony ground and he fought to stay focused, keeping the Joltik's face swimming in his vision. Her noises sounded… excited, as the fuzzy structures around her mouth vibrated. He could certainly guess why. What with how one of her hands was already shoving its way into his pants.

But while this feral had four hands, her legs weren't anything special and he yanked one of his own from her pin before driving a kick into the only spot he could reach – the Joltik's plump abdomen.

The girl instantly crumpled, bouncing off his chest with a shocked gurgle and Nicholas took the opportunity to pull his hands from her grip and throw her off of him, lunging for his bag to grab a pokeball and chucking it so that by the time Jade actually reached him the Joltik was just a shaking pokeball on the floor between them.

"Keeper, are you unharmed?" Jade asked, stepping past the pokeball as it continued to blink and taking up a guard position in front of him.

"Barely, I think," Nicholas groaned, rubbing at the sore spot on the back of his head. "Damn. She got me good." He blinked woozily. "How are the others?"

"Adalinda is free. My Alpha and Melody are winning," Jade replied. "Keeper, we should go. I have cleared the path."

"You certainly did," Nicholas muttered. Pieces of stone littered the road, the remains of the stalactites and stalagmites that had just minutes ago held up the Galvantula's web. "I don't remember ordering you to."

Jade stiffened. "Keeper-"

"I'm glad to see you taking your own initiative, Jade," Nicholas continued before the Golett could say anything more. "Keep doing that."

"…Yes, Keeper."

"KIANA, FALL BACK TO THE PACK!" Nicholas roared, turning from where the Arcanine was cleaning up the last of her Joltik to yell for Melody as well before pausing. There was a much different pokegirl fighting her way through the remains of the Joltik around her and the pain in his skull was forgotten as he grinned at what he saw. "MELODY! They've had enough, let them be."

"I HAVEN'T!" Melody screamed back, her laughter continuing as she belted out a simple refrain, each beat punctuated by another one of her fists slamming into a panicked Joltik. "UP DOWN, ALL AROUND, COME ON EVERYBODY NOW IT'S UP POUND, DOWN POUND, SHAKE THE EARTH AND FILL THE AIR, IT'S-!" As she began to loop again Melody leapt, driving both feet hard into the cave floor and bowling over the final Joltik with a massive shockwave that split the ground and brought dust raining from the ceiling. "WOO!"

"No, she deserves this moment," Nicholas said quickly, holding out a hand when Kiana appeared next to him with her eyes narrowing. "I just wish we weren't- oof!" He stumbled when another tremor from the jubilant Seismitoad shook the area. "In a cave!" With one more quick motion to try and calm Kiana he staggered forwards. "MELODY! Come on, get over here! I can barely hear your beautiful voice over the sound of the cave falling apart!"

That did the trick as while Melody initially ignored him, happily skipping through the unconscious ferals as she continued to sing, the moment she turned and saw Kiana bristling next to Nicholas she was scampering back with apologies spewing from her lips. "Oh shit Alpha hi I didn't do it I'm right here hello cave still intact pack not in danger please don't be mad I'm sorry…?"

Kiana just snorted.

"Everythiiing's fiiine, juuust fiiine, alright?" Nicholas soothed to the two. "Melody, you've just evolved, so I'm going to let you rest in your pokeball, okay? This isn't punishment, I just can't celebrate with you until we make it out of the cave and into Mistralton." He smiled at the fidgeting Seismitoad. "Letting you rest in your pokeball will let you focus on all that happiness without needing to worry about anything else."

"R-Right."

"Oh, and Melody?" Nicholas said as he raised her pokeball. "Your lyrics need some work, but the beat was excellent." He recalled her as a smile bloomed across Melody's face from the compliment.

He heard Kiana huff as the Seismitoad vanished and chuckled. "She reminds me of a certain Growlithe."

Kiana had been making to say something but stopped with her mouth open at that before slowly closing it again. "I guess she does, Master."

Nicholas glanced at the Arcanine with a mischievous smirk. "I know my Alpha wouldn't punish such exuberance from one of her pack, right?"

Kiana grunted. "No. But Melody still needs to learn at least some restraint. Do you agree?"

"I think that's more than fair to say."

"Just not when she's freshly evolved, I get it," Kiana grumbled quietly. "Thank you, Master."

"Hey," Nicholas smiled, reaching over to rub between her ears, "that's what I'm here for."

"Mistralton?"

"Mistralton," Nicholas agreed, watching Kiana shake herself back into Alpha mode and move forwards while barking orders to Jade and Adalinda. After a moment he looked down at the pokeball still laying on the ground at his feet and bent down to pick it up. Mistralton. A Flying-type gym. A Joltik or Galvantula could be useful.

"That's the city there!" Nicholas laughed and high-fived Adalinda. "We made it, girls! One week! I knew we could do it."

"Should I contact someone to bring you back to Pokestar, Master?" Kalmiya asked in his ear.

"Yeah. Let's meet them at the Mistralton pokecenter," Nicholas replied, moving forwards with a renewed spring in his step as the group entered the city. "Oh there's so much to do once we get back – but not until I know you're all settled in. Which reminds me. Kiana." He looked to the Arcanine. "Back there at the Galvantula nest, one of her Joltik slipped past everyone and managed to surprise me. I think that shows some kind of promise."

Kiana growled happily. "If you think so, Master, then I want to meet her."

"Perfect. I do too." Nicholas tapped the Joltik's pokeball. "After I celebrate Melody's evolution with her I'll tame the Joltik too. Depending on how she responds there might be enough time today to introduce her to everyone."

A slight pop as a figure appeared in front of them all. "Doubtful, Master." Cassidy was levitating as she gestured around. "We're teleporting. Am I taking you all like this or can we use pokeballs?"

"Whoa, hey, Cass," Nicholas replied in surprise. "You didn't have to come to us, we were on our way to the pokecenter-"

"There was not the time to waste," the Alakazam interrupted. "Will I be taking your newest harem as they are, Master, or in their pokeballs? Please decide."

"Well I think lowering the amount of trips by putting everyone in their pokeballs is…" Nicholas began, trailing off when every single ball on his belt activated at a thought from Cassidy and recalled the surprised harem, Cathy included, before she took him and Fiona by the arms. "What in the…"

"Teleporting, Master." The world warped before stabilizing into the interior of his and Sabrina's room back at the Pokestar hotel. "The Mistress is in the ballroom-"

"No, stop, just stop a moment," Nicholas interjected, pulling himself free of Cassidy's grip. "The hell's gotten into you, Cass? Slow down. You can't just treat the others like-"

Cassidy let go of Fiona and swiveled to squarely face Nicholas, though as she was still hovering slightly it was her massive bust in front of his eyes rather than her own face. "No, Master. You need to catch up." She blinked, her antennae twitching, before she let out an annoyed snort and dropped to rip the bulging cleavage from his gaze and replace it with her narrowed eyes. "Master."

Nicholas blinked. "Erm. Yes?"

"You should know that I do not like using my position any more than you do as our Master," the Alakazam growled softly, "but I will use it here. I am one of your Betas. And I am telling you that you need to go to the ballroom. Now."

"You said Sabrina was there…?"

"Yes. And you are not."

"Is she about to leave for something?"

Cassidy's already focused glare intensified at his question. "And what difference would that make?"

"Well, because you've just whisked my harem away, some of which who have never been here before, which must be disorienting. Then there's a new feral I just caught and intend to tame so she can socialize with the others, as well as a newly evolved girl…"

His explanation was silenced as Cassidy drew back and asked a simple question. "You would place them before your mate, Master?"

"Err…" Nicholas stammered. "I mean if she's not rushing somewhere, delaying would mean I'd have a lot to apologize to at least Melody for…"

"And if Mistress Sabrina learned you tamed one of us before visiting her?" Cassidy pressed, flicking her hand and pulling Nicholas' belt off of his body with her telekinesis before he could react. "She needs you, Master. She needs her mate. I know that you have never been good at understanding the Mistress' feelings for you, especially not when you first met. But I have been there from the beginning, to see it all. And right now, her mind is crying out for you."

"Okay. Okay, fine," Nicholas relented. "Morgana was saying the same kind of things but I hadn't thought… I'll figure out how to apologize to Melody later."

"She will understand, Master," Cassidy replied as the room's door swung open on its own and the Alakazam gestured. "A mate comes before all others. All pokegirls understand that."

"Ballroom, you said?"

"Yes, Master. The usual one."

Cassidy watched him leave and was turning her attention to the belt still hovering in midair when one of the pokeballs on it activated in a flash of red. Kiana formed, her fur already starting to bristle as she found the Alakazam and began to growl. "Return my pack to me."

Cassidy frowned and gestured at the levitating belt. "You are free to-"

"No." Kiana's lips slipped back over her fangs as she snarled. "You will return my pack to me, other Beta. Return them to their Alpha."

Another red flash as Cathy materialized but it was just so the Miltank could grab her own pokeball and make quick excuses while she fled for the door, pulling it shut after herself to leave the two pokegirls bristling at each other in the middle of the room.

"Kiana, I think I remember hearing he'd named you?" Cassidy breezed. "Well Kiana, you're free to take your harem and go do whatever you'd like. Master needs to spend some time with the rest of us now. When he's out there, he can be yours. When he's here, he's ours. And you haven't joined us yet."

Kiana lifted her hand, palm up, and held it in the air between the two. "I am willing to forgive your insult to my pack today, if it was truly in Master's best interests. But I do not forget your insult to me." Her hand twitched as the Arcanine's eyes narrowed. "What is it you claimed? You do not like using your position to impose your will, much as our Master dislikes imposing his on us? Well, I do not like using my position any more than our Master does." Kiana's lips drew all the way back as she hissed out her last words. "But despite not having joined you yet, I am still our Master's Alpha. And you, Beta Cassidy, are out of line."

Cassidy remained silently watching the snarling Arcanine for a while before she slowly reached over to pick Nicholas' belt out of the air and gently place it into Kiana's outstretched hand. "You've got spunk, Alpha Kiana. I could crush you with a wave of my hand."

Kiana's fingers closed around the belt. "But before you did I would make you bleed." She jerked her chin towards the door. "You may leave."

Cassidy's eyes flickered but after a few moments she inclined her head slightly and turned to the door.

Kiana waited for the Alakazam to have long gone before speaking again. "Come on out, girls."

Adalinda, Jade, and Melody all appeared from within their pokeballs and Adalinda immediately glanced at the door with a quiet snort. "She does not speak for the others, Alpha. I met many of them before we found you and I was welcomed here."

"You have no reason to apologize for that pokegirl or our Master's pack," Kiana replied quietly. "She speaks for herself. But she is one who our Master trusts to lead. Or she would not have been allowed to remain someone's Beta." The Arcanine glanced at her harem. "Therefore her words must be taken seriously. She is correct. Compared to Cathy, Sohn, Ryuko, Morgana, Nessa, and now her, we do not belong. We are not one of them. We share a Master, but not a harem. So while our Master attends to his mate, we will work to change that." Kiana's eyes flicked to Melody as Adalinda grew a huge grin and Jade thumped her hands together in assent. "Melody."

The Seismitoad jerked. "Erm… Yes, Alpha?"

"I am sure Master will make it up to you." Kiana cocked her head. "I can smell your disappointment. Would you like to return to your pokeball until he can?"

Melody awkwardly cleared her throat and fidgeted with her thighs pressed together. "Well…"

"The rest of us go to train. You can remain behind."

Melody lifted her chin. "Thank you, Alpha, but no. I know Ada had to wait because of me. If she can do it, I can too."

Adalinda turned back to Melody before cracking a grin. "Afraid of letting me show you up, Melody?"

Melody grinned back. "Nah. You're already so great I only want to prove I'm still worth keeping around."

Adalinda's eyes widened slightly as she blinked in surprise. "Melody…?"

Kiana was making a happy rumbling noise as the two pokegirls began to blush. "Good. Then we train." She gave Adalinda a long look before pushing past the others and raising her voice before Fiona could more than open her mouth from her position far to the side. "And as always you are welcome to join us, Fiona."

"O-Oh." Fiona's mouth snapped shut. "Thank you, Madam… Alpha Kiana."

Kiana let out a barking laugh as she led the group out of the hotel. "Our journey is yours as well. I would be happy to have you in my pack."

"That's…" Fiona took a deep breath as she leaned into her pace. "I thank you, Alpha Kiana, but I believe… While I will grant you the title you deserve, I do not think my place is among your pack."

A rumbling chuckle from the Arcanine. "You are still welcome beside us."

Fiona bowed her head slightly. "And I am honored to stand at your side."

Behind them Nicholas was quietly walking up to the ballroom doors to peek inside. There was a decent amount of activity inside despite the lateness of the day as it appeared all of Sabrina's harem was socializing with their Mistress, as well as a small scattering of his own pokegirls. He saw Miyuki sitting with Sabrina's Jynx, her Hypno similarly relaxing with Nessa nearby. But the woman herself was sitting… alone. It was clear to see with how the rest of the room curved around her, leaving a circular gap to every side.

He stood there for a few minutes. Watching her. Letting his eyes linger on her hair, her lightest motions, filling his mind with thoughts of his beautiful fiancé as he ran over everything he needed to say. Holding a conversation with himself over and over until his shoulders slumped slightly and he pushed through the doors with a heavy sigh.

Sabrina was facing away from the door so she didn't see him enter, but the others did. Most of the pokegirls noticed when Nicholas walked in, and his lips thinned when he felt the mood shift. Narrowed eyes, an exasperated roll of some of them, he didn't need to be a psychic to understand that nobody was happy to see him arrive so late.

He released his mental defenses a moment before he reached Sabrina, causing her to start as his arms wrapped around her body and Nicholas pressed up against her back. "Wh-Wha-?" Sabrina stammered, trying to turn only to find her cheek pressing against his. "Nicholas-?"

"I'm sorry," Nicholas said quietly as he held her tightly. "I'm late."

Sabrina squirmed around, her hands reaching for his face as she did and the two stared into each other's eyes. "You… You're here," she breathed, blinking as tears began to glisten. "You're really here."

"I should have come back with you after Clay's gym," Nicholas said. "I should have but I…" he trailed off before closing his eyes and shaking his head. "No. That's me making excuses. I should have just returned with you. I broke my promise. I stopped doing things for you. I decided I wanted to keep on the road with the new harem as long as I could when I should have been back here." He opened his eyes again to see Sabrina staring at him tearfully. "I was selfish. Can you ever forgive me?"

Sabrina's hand drifted up his face before the woman let out a snorting laugh, strangled by the mucus in her throat. "What kind of a- a stupid question is that?" she managed to get out, the tears coming now and dripping down her cheeks. "You're here. What is there to forgive?"

Nicholas gave her a small smile and took Sabrina's hand, squeezing it as he leaned in for a tender kiss. "I should have been here sooner," he whispered when they broke back apart. "That's what."

"But you're here now." Sabrina pulled him tightly against herself as she fought her tears. "I, I'd been so worried… There's so much to do, and plans to make, but without you…"

Nicholas stroked her hair comfortingly. "I'm here now," he agreed softly. "We're here. Together. Just tell me what I need to do."

.

.

Another day's morning saw Nicholas glancing over at his bed. Sabrina had had to attend another advance screening so the day was his, and he'd taken advantage to finally tame the Joltik. Now he was getting dressed in preparation for the other plans he had for the day and contemplating the diminutive pokegirl sprawled out on the mattress. The excitement he'd seen from her in Chargestone Cave had remained even after a taming cycle, returning to the woozy feral the instant her eyes found him. It had to be something to do with sex, right? Seeing a human? Maybe some translation of the excitability he'd come to expect from Electric-type pokegirls. With a shrug he turned away from the Joltik and rummaged through his TM case to find the proper one. He fully expected this pokegirl to be feralborn so the language TM would be needed.

When the Joltik finally stirred some time later she sat up to see Nicholas watching her from a nearby chair. Once again, Nicholas watched the confusion in her eyes disappear and be replaced by… his lips turned slightly into a frown. Now that she was tame there were more complex emotions in the Joltik's expression. Did he see… Relief? Mixed with her excitement?

"Are you able to speak?" Nicholas asked as the Joltik bounced onto her knees and began crawling towards him. "If you're not, the first thing I'm doing is giving you this TM, and if you are, I'd rather not just knock you out with it."

No response except the girl's excited chittering and Nicholas shrugged as she dropped from the bed. Before she could more than reach for him he'd flicked the disk to her head and got to his feet when the Joltik froze while the TM did its work.

He'd been surprised at the Joltik's size after getting her out of her pokeball. Her proportions were wild, the girl standing somewhere in the five-foot range, maybe even less, but with a pair of huge breasts between her four arms and a similarly stacked set of hips to support the large arachnid abdomen protruding past her plump ass. She was a strong pokegirl despite her size. That much was abundantly clear.

She was also another fully furred pokegirl, just like Kiana had been as a Growlithe. Or perhaps fur was the wrong way to describe the yellow hairs that covered the Joltik's body. It was thinner, almost wiry, and much closer to the short hair on her head than it was to Kiana's fur. But it still covered her completely, the only hints of the Joltik's rich purple skin underneath coming with her exposed nipples and when he'd spread her pussy during the taming.

Nicholas returned his attention to the Joltik's face when he saw her mandibles move. A light, confused noise and then the girl was blinking to clear her eyes as she found him again and the bounce returned. "You!"

Nicholas's eyebrows shot into his hair. "Me?"

The Joltik's chittering sounds were back as she scrambled for him and he realized it was her version of laughter when the girl crashed into his body, her hands grabbing at him as the two fell to the ground and he could feel her chest vibrating against him. "You! It's you!"

"You… Know me?" Nicholas asked in surprise. "What? From where? Were you not feralborn?"

"Our friend!" The Joltik happily shimmied up his chest and began rubbing her face against his, her mandibles almost caressing him as she pushed for his mouth. "When our friend said hi!"

Friend? Nicholas thought, kissing back as his mind raced. Had he even ever met a Joltik before? He'd seen a few of the pokegirls in Nimbasa, with Elesa, but not feral. This Joltik shouldn't have been able to range far from her nest, so somewhere around Chargestone Cave? Mistralton? They'd passed through almost a year ago when he'd first come to Unova, but not through the cave itself, and in a bus… So Driftveil, maybe? The same thing there, except for during the PWT…

His mouth, reciprocating the Joltik's excited advances, fell slack in shock. "It… can't be," he stammered, squirming free and fighting the Joltik's grasping hands to push her to arm's length so he could look into her eyes. No, he'd barely gotten a glimpse of that one back then, and there was no way he'd be able to match a feral's intelligence to this tamed pokegirl, but maybe if he looked harder…

The Joltik cocked her head when Nicholas made a sharp gasp. "You OK?"

Nicholas didn't respond at first. The look in her eyes. This was supposed to be a freshly tamed pokegirl, a feralborn at that, why hadn't he realized it sooner? Her speech was perfect. Displaying an unnatural intelligence. And now as she continued to question him he couldn't respond, too busy staring at the glittering aura woven through the Joltik's. Facets of brilliant green, almost as if a cloud of gems circled around her. Intertwined with the Joltik's own aura more completely than he'd come to understand even his own blessings were and strengthening it to an incredible extent. There was no question in his mind anymore. "You're the one he befriended," Nicholas finally breathed. "N. Back at the stadium. I can see his blessing on you."

"That's right!" the girl squealed happily. "I wanted to play back then, but our friend said no," she continued, growing a pout as she flounced back and sat down hard on his legs. "But then I saw you! You came to find me!" The hint of a sultry look tugged at the Joltik's lips as one of her hands trailed its way down his body. "We can play now, can't we?"

"From how I remember it, N wasn't exactly feeling kind towards me when we first met," Nicholas replied, catching the Joltik's hand that was fondling him and idly playing with her fingers. "You really want to stick around with me?"

"You're a friend," the Joltik immediately replied, bringing another hand up to cup his cheek as she spread out on top of him, her massive breasts pleasantly squishing against Nicholas. "I can tell."

"A friend," Nicholas replied, letting the girl stroke his face as he continued to play with her other hand. "I don't know how our other friend would react if he learned I'd placed you in a pokeball. Bound you to me. He doesn't like it very much when us humans do that."

"Trying to get rid of me?"

Nicholas blinked. There had been a chittering laugh behind the Joltik's question. "I wouldn't be able to even if I tried, huh."

"No." Nicholas felt the Joltik's ass sliding up his body as she shifted to sitting on his chest and staring down into his eyes, a huge grin splitting her face. "I'm not going anywhere."

"You're not, huh." Nicholas grinned back up at her. "Well then I guess you need a name. I'm Nicholas, by the way. Do you have anything that you'd like to be called?"

The Joltik shook her head slightly. "Not really."

"Then how about Cindy?" Nicholas asked. When the Joltik nodded he reached around to grab her ass with both hands. "Great. Welcome to the harem, Cindy." He gave her a wink, Cindy's eyes widening a bit when she felt him starting to pull her further up his body. "I've got things to do today, but let me welcome you properly and we can go meet your new Alpha."

Cindy shrieked in pleasure when Nicholas yanked her forwards, burying his face in her cunt and worming deep between her folds. Fizzy taste, he thought, chuckling as the Joltik's orgasmic throes were accompanied by bursts of static electricity racing across his tongue.

Nicholas cleared his throat and pressed the intercom buzzer again. He was standing alone, the Unovan harem back at their hotel getting to know Cindy, his other pokegirls pursuing their own activities, even Cathy remaining behind after he'd explained to her what he planned. There was still so much to do back there. Melody had now been containing her excitement longer than Adalinda had had to and he'd caught a glimpse of Lili and Zisela's daughter on his way out of the hotel. Quinn's egg still hadn't hatched yet, but it would soon. He let himself chuckle. Leave them alone for a month and he falls this far behind in harem business. Oh well. It was his own fault for choosing to keep growing his harem as large as he had.

He was reaching to buzz the intercom for a third time when it came to life. "Yes?" the staticky voice asked. "I'm not expecting any deliveries. Who is it?"

Nicholas leaned in to ensure the microphone picked him up clearly. "It's Nicholas Topolski. Mind if I come up?"

Silence. Nicholas waited for nearly a minute before the intercom responded. "Mister Topolski always schedules ahead. He's a busy man. I haven't had anything other than a video call with him in quite some time, so-"

Nicholas jabbed the button to cut off Karen's connection. "It's me, Karen. I'm here to discuss a job I have for you and didn't want a paper trail that my fiancé could find. I don't want to take any chances that she discovers the surprise I have planned for her. Can you buzz me in?"

Another few seconds passed before Karen's voice returned. "Step back a few feet from the door."

Nicholas pulled back and looked up, glancing between the various windows until he saw the blinds on one shift slightly. After a few moments they returned to normal and he heard the lock on the door click open.

Karen was waiting when he approached her apartment door and the Houndoom ushered him inside before quickly closing it behind him while apologizing profusely. "I'm so sorry for the delay, Sir," she was saying, following him as Nicholas made his way towards a chair and settled down while placing his briefcase on the floor beside it. "And I am terribly sorry about the mess, if I had known you would be calling on me today I would have made sure to clean up…"

Nicholas glanced at her. Karen was gesturing around the room but he knew she wasn't referring to the apartment. She'd definitely tried to clean herself up from the time he'd walked into the building to when she'd met him at the door but all the Houndoom had managed was to get the worst of her bedhead smoothed out and throw a wrinkled white dress shirt over the t-shirt she'd been wearing. Her long white hair was still pretty mussed up, Karen still sporting a loose pair of sweatpants, with the tails of her shirt only half tucked in and he could see her surreptitiously fidgeting with the button-down whenever she found an excuse to turn away from him. "I'm not here to judge your living quarters," he replied, intentionally referring to the room to put the Houndoom more at ease with her messy appearance. "Have you already had lunch?"

"Lunch…?" Karen glanced at the kitchenette. "I usually don't cook a full meal for lunch, Sir, but if you would like I could-"

"Nothing in your contract says you have to be my maid," Nicholas interrupted. "I was just curious. We seem to keep having lunch meetings."

Karen let out her breath and turned back to him with a smile. "We do. An odd coincidence."

"Maybe. Maybe not." Nicholas gestured towards another chair. "Please, sit. I have a lot to go over with you."

Karen nodded and found a seat, somehow procuring a notepad and pen from somewhere as she did. "Of course, Sir. How have you been finding my services so far?"

Nicholas chuckled. "Excellent as expected, Karen. Speaking of, the commercial deal – I hadn't gotten back to you yet, but please reply that I do not put my name behind any product unless it is one I use myself. I would happily appear in the stamina drink commercials, but I would not be the tamer using them. Perhaps the script could be rewritten where it's instead said that Tauros Energy's supplements can make anyone as long-lasting as me?"

A snap as the plastic housing of Karen's pen cracked under the pressure of the Houndoom's grip. "Eh-hem," Karen cleared her throat. "That is… an extraordinary claim, Sir. But I will pass on your response to the marketing team at Tauros Energy after our meeting today."

"It's funny we mention that offer, actually," Nicholas breezed. "It ties into part of the reason I'm here, in fact. Anyways, yes, I have been very satisfied in your work for me. And I have heard from my secretary that your advice has been very beneficial towards her work as Miss Natsume's agent."

"I aim to please, Sir."

"Indeed." Nicholas settled back in his chair. "Here is what I am thinking. Are you aware of the term, 'exposure therapy'?"

"I am."

"And you are aware of Miss Natsume, my fiancé's struggles with PTSD caused by the Houndoom pokegirl." Nicholas waited for Karen to barely nod her head. "I would like to help her recover. Unfortunately, I would never be able to trust any random pokegirl to get close to Miss Natsume. No. For you see, Miss Natsume is the most valuable thing to me in this world." He watched Karen flinch. "While I am aware you have been a valuable asset for her affairs, there are some things that simply cannot be ignored."

Karen took a deep breath and inclined her head slightly. "I understand."

"However." Karen's head snapped back up when Nicholas continued. "With proper measures in place, I believe I could find the trust towards a Houndoom to allow her near Miss Natsume." He stared at her. "Unfortunately, none of those measures are yet in place."

"…Does this have anything to do with the job you hinted at, Sir?"

"It does indeed." Nicholas folded his hands in his lap. "Allow me to explain. Any Houndoom candidate to interact with Miss Natsume would need to satisfy three very strict conditions. First, and most importantly, she would need to be useful to Miss Natsume. There needs to be a reason that this pokegirl is allowed to interact with Miss Natsume beyond simply being a Houndoom. Do you have any idea what might satisfy this condition?"

Karen cleared her throat and mirrored his pose with her own hands in her lap as she straightened up. "I believe, Sir, that as Miss Natsume grows as an actress then a dedicated agent of hers would be valuable. Perhaps the Houndoom could be this agent."

"Perhaps." Nicholas shrugged. "Second, this Houndoom would need to earn Miss Natsume's trust. She would need to be an individual with a character so indisputable that no fear could even be attached to her name in Miss Natsume's mind." Karen's hands tightened and she shifted nervously. "Unfortunately, I believe this may be impossible. It would take an incredible effort from the Houndoom in question to prove herself to Miss Natsume, especially in the beginning, when she is most vulnerable. There may be no pokegirl alive with the strength of character to accomplish this condition." He raised an eyebrow at Karen. "Unless you have an idea, Miss Karen?"

Karen bit her lip. "Even if such a Houndoom was… starting fresh, Sir, then it may be impossible as you claim. The only way…" She blinked. "The only way would be perhaps through you, Sir. If the Houndoom in question could prove herself to you, could… endear herself to Miss Natsume without Miss Natsume even knowing that it was this Houndoom who was doing so." Her eyes widened as she looked at him. "Perhaps if this Houndoom's actions could be attributed to someone Miss Natsume already trusts, so that she is able to accept them without prejudice, then once she has come to trust the Houndoom's actions it can be revealed to her that it was a Houndoom helping her… Perhaps then the first kernel of trust might be formed between Miss Natsume and this Houndoom."

"Why, that sounds like an excellent method," Nicholas replied. "But there would need to be some event, some action that is so undeniably benevolent that once it is revealed to Miss Natsume it was a Houndoom who made it happen there could be no doubt in her mind as to this Houndoom's character."

Karen took a trembling breath. "This is no meeting, Mister Topolski, is it," she whispered. "This is an interview."

"Would you like a permanent contract, Miss Karen?" Nicholas asked. "And I do not mean some kind of at-will arrangement. I mean a permanent position under my employ. Because, though I do not especially enjoy forcing an issue, I am very willing to break my personal values when it comes to my mate." His eyes narrowed and a shiver went through Karen's body. "She is as precious to me as a pokegirl's mate is to her. And so I would do anything to ensure she was safe. Anything. Do you understand me?"

"I do, Sir," Karen barely whispered. "It is well known how… aggressive, a pokegirl will become when defending her mate. How any threat, no matter how small, no matter from who it may come… can often be reacted to with overwhelming force."

"Such a Houndoom candidate would be forced to exist under such a threat, then," Nicholas growled softly. "It would take an incredible pokegirl indeed to be able to weather that without letting it affect her. Thus comes condition three."

Karen took a deep breath and straightened back up to match his eyes. "A Houndoom satisfying condition two should already satisfy condition three, Sir. After all, your attitude is perfectly rational. It is perfectly… pokegirl." A smile twitching at the corner of her mouth. "It would only be business. Sir."

"Condition three would be absolute," Nicholas said quietly. "Are you sure there is a candidate out there who could accept it?"

Karen nodded. "I do, Sir."

"If she changed her mind she would still not be allowed to leave my control. Are you sure there is a Houndoom out there who would be willing to surrender her freedom to me, and me alone?"

Karen gave him a calm smile. "It is my understanding, Sir, that any pokegirl under your control, no matter how absolute, still enjoys a freedom unlike what most can claim. I believe if you were to find a candidate that meets your conditions she would come to understand the same."

"I would expect this Houndoom to leave everything she has behind."

A toothy grin as Karen gestured around her apartment. "I don't have much to leave."

"You're sure of this, then."

Karen nodded. "I fully believe placing my lot with you and Miss Natsume is a good choice, Mister Topolski. I am sure. And besides – even if I was wrong, it can't be much worse than what I have now."

Nicholas snorted quietly. "Very well. We will finalize negotiations after the premiere of the Wonder Fighters movie. Before that happens, I have a job for you, Miss Karen." He stood, walking over and placing his hand against Karen's collarbone when she tried to rise as well, pushing her back into her chair as he straddled her legs. "Something to satisfy condition two. Unfortunately, as I mentioned, condition three is absolute. So, since I have faith that you will not disappoint me, I would like to get the formalities out of the way."

Karen growled when he shifted further into her lap. "It was no coincidence."

"Not at all," Nicholas chuckled, pushing his fingers between the buttons of Karen's shirt and forcefully pulling it open before moving to push beneath her t-shirt. "What are we having for lunch?"

A lolling grin as flame puffed from Karen's nostrils and she reached up to engulf his mouth in a deep kiss. "Well," she replied with an excited growl when Nicholas pulled back, "I was thinking I'd have some thick… juicy… meat."

"A good choice, I've been told," Nicholas smirked, shoving the two off-balance so that the chair crashed backwards against the floor. A kick from his foot tore it out from underneath them as he bared his teeth down at Karen, the Houndoom similarly snarling back before she grunted when his hand slammed into her chin.

"I will not warn you again," he hissed, his fingers tightening around Karen's face as he loomed over her. "Condition three is absolute. If you accept it, there is no going back."

"I wouldn't have it any other way," Karen hissed back, her fangs bared the best she could beneath his grip. "It has been a fucking long-ass time since I had a real Master. Coming out of retirement should be fun."

Nicholas smirked as he felt the Houndoom's tail scraping up his back and drawing blood. "I had my secretary trace your records after you gave me that little show, you irreverent punk."

"I expect she found everything." Stabbing pain in his side and Nicholas looked down to see Karen's fingers digging in. "So?" Karen was holding a devilish grin as she lifted her head despite the pressure from his grip so that she could hiss right in his face, her tongue flicking close to his skin as she did. "Think you can tame the girl known to her enemies as Hellfire?"

"Think I can't?" Karen gurgled when his knee smashed into her groin and he ignored her grip on his side to grab the Houndoom's shirt and tear it from her body, not even caring to try and remove it in one piece. "You doubted what I said about Tauros Energy, too. Ready to be proven wrong?"

Karen surged up, an angry roar breaking free as she blew flames across his body. "I LIKED THAT SHIRT!" she choked out, "FUCK YOU!"

"Oh, no." Karen was driven back against the floor as Nicholas broke free of her flames, his clothes burned away but shimmering aura protecting his body. "I'll be fucking you, little Hellfire. You've had your last chance to walk away." Karen's sweatpants flew off her legs as he raked his foot down her body and she hissed when his free hand hooked into her soaked cunt. "Time for lunch."

Karen released an ecstatic groan when he sank deep inside of her and he shifted his posture so that he was more completely pinning the flexing Houndoom. She'd been right. Kalmiya had found everything about Karen after she'd made her little display the year before. It hadn't taken too long for the Porygon to discover that the reason Karen was so smugly confident about being able to take at least one of Nicholas' harem with her was because she'd already proven she could. The tamer she'd once trained with held every Unovan gym badge. It was only after he'd retired and turned all but one of his harem loose that Karen had become the embittered talent scout that he'd first met. In some ways, he thought, she was like Elaine. Abandoned by a human she'd come to respect. His 'condition' that she would not be allowed to leave him was probably more a relief than anything to her. As long as he could remain the kind of tamer she wanted to be with. Under, he thought with a smirk as he slammed his dick deep into Karen's pussy. She would be under him, just as she was now.

"I've had to admire your body silently for a long time," Nicholas growled, using his knees to pin Karen's legs wide open as he continued shifting in and out of her pussy and moved his hands to roughly fondle the Houndoom's firm breasts. "I'm sure you noticed."

With her arms now freed Nicholas grunted as he felt Karen's fingers stab into his throat. "Noticed?" the Houndoom purred, her hand curling to stroke his neck. "I've been manipulating you from the start, little Nicholas-"

Karen shrieked in pain when Nicholas' hand snapped from her chest to catch her wrist and bend it back much too far. "Trying," he growled as Karen's arm buckled. "You are allowed to believe that you have tried to manipulate me, Karen. But think about this." Karen's pained gasps grew louder until she was biting back screams as he mercilessly twisted the Houndoom's arm where it was not meant to go. "If I for a moment believed you had succeeded in dominating me." He leaned in, running his tongue all the way up the length her ear before whispering into it. "If I thought that for even an instant. You had taken control." His hot breath caused Karen's ear to twitch. "Would my mate not be in danger?"

Karen's throat bobbed as she convulsively swallowed. "Oh."

"Perhaps you didn't understand me properly." Karen whimpered when Nicholas released her deadened arm only to grab her hair and yank her head up. "I will kill you, Karen. Not any of my pokegirls. Me. With my own hands. The moment I think you are a threat to Sabrina's safety." He let go and Karen's head smacked against the ground. "You're a strong pokegirl. You have a lot of value to me and my mate. You, from what I've pieced together, will probably fit in quite well." He leaned back to give Karen some breathing room. "But you will be walking a minefield. One wrong step. Just one. That will be all it takes for you to lose everything."

Karen was catching her breath and she winced as she tried to move her arm. "Warning… Heard loud and clear, Master."

"There's no need for that."

"Calling you Master?" Karen glanced up at him. "I think, compared to every single other pokegirl around you, I am the only one for whom it is completely needed, Master. Condition three. My position is absolute."

"I guess it is."

Karen grunted when he pulled out. "I hope I haven't ruined things, Master." Her eyes flicked down his chest. "I'd just started enjoying myself."

Nicholas chuckled. "Not at all. What would you like to sample now?"

Karen thought for a moment before smirking and opening her mouth wide. "Ever throat-fucked a hellhound?" she growled. "Do you dare?"

Nicholas replied by grabbing Karen by the horns and pulling her head to his cock. "Do you?"

Karen snickered and gave the tip a kiss before opening her mouth and sliding all the way down his shaft in a single motion. When she pulled back, Nicholas having to hold himself upright at the sensation, she nuzzled her cheek against his twitching member and gazed up at him with fire dancing in her eyes. "If this bitch is going to have her mouth full, Master, maybe it's a perfect opportunity to tell her about your idea for condition two?"

"Well-" Nicholas began, immediately groaning when Karen sucked his dick into her mouth again and he could feel her massaging the full length with her tongue and throat. Traces of liquid flame were dripping between the Houndoom's fangs as she worked her way back and forth and the sensation on his penis was unlike anything he'd felt before. He could feel Karen's amusement when his grip on her horns tightened so that he wouldn't fall. "It's my… understanding, that, uh, the movie premiere will be invite only."

"Mmf."

"Probably limited to just… just Sabrina and maybe one guest, like me," Nicholas gasped out. "I think it would be an incredible gift if she could experience it with… with everyone instead. Her full harem. My harem."

Karen pulled back, trails of cum clinging to his dick and vanishing down her throat. "I'm good, Master, but not that good."

"I don't expect you to be," Nicholas chuckled, using the moment to catch his breath. "I'll take care of the how. You just handle the where."

"You want a theater, privately rented, simulcasting the Wonder Fighters movie premiere," Karen mused. "You're right. That'll be fucking tough."

"Too hard for you?"

Karen smirked and licked his dick to clean it a bit. "Nah. Just hard enough to be enjoyable. Like this cock of yours." She added her fingers to the mix as she continued licking his shaft, looking up at him as she did. "I'd hate for these formalities to be the last time I tasted your meat, Master. So it will be done. You just make sure your side of things is handled too."

Nicholas gasped as he came again, shooting a load all over Karen's face that the Houndoom just started licking clean. "I… I will."

"Good." He shivered when Karen slid his dick past the sides of her teeth. "Now then, Master. I'll need to test and see if your response to Tauros Energy is truthful." The flames in her eyes danced as she stared up at him. "But I'm sure that was your intention from the start, wasn't it."

.

.

"We're next, Ma'am."

Nicholas rolled his neck at the driver's announcement. "Ready, honey?"

Behind him in the limo Sabrina's eyes were closed, her hands clasped in her lap as she controlled her breathing. "I am."

"I'll open manually, you'll close automatically?"

"Yes, Sir," the driver replied.

Nicholas nodded. Even the nearly opaque tint on the limousine's windows wasn't able to block all the camera flashes. It was about to get bright. "Say the word."

"The next time I stop, Sir." The limo inched forwards until coming to a halt. "Now."

Nicholas opened the front passenger door and stepped out, fighting the urge to squint as the cameras focused in on him. He turned, letting the door swing shut behind him as he walked for the rear compartment. He waited just a moment to make sure his posture was correct before pulling the sliding door open, letting it travel on its own as he extended his left hand towards the opening.

He had to hold his breath when Sabrina appeared. He'd seen the dress when he'd helped her into the limo but seeing it now, the red carpet stretching out in front of the woman as the flashing cameras illuminated the garment… It was so much better now. Sabrina's hair was styled back, behind her neck before spreading out to either side and curling back up while a wide, pure black obsidian diadem rested delicately atop her head. The only thing covering her from her face to her breasts was a black silk gaiter around her neck and extending down to disappear into her cleavage, which from what he remembered Sabrina saying was there to help keep the wrapped dress from slipping. Probably a good thing considering the asymmetrical dress in question had no back and was barely even covering her breasts, the side of her left completely exposed as the purple fringe along the top continued up and over her right shoulder. It was mirrored over her left arm by a hanging purple sleeve and the right was a dark teal which matched the rest of the form-hugging garment as it trailed down her legs from the tighter black material that clung to her chest.

Sabrina took his hand as she exited the limo and stared out across the crowd. A flick of her free hand to unfold a black and red bladed fan that she delicately placed over her mouth and Nicholas could see her eyes quivering. The lightest of squeezes of his fingers as he projected his thoughts to her. "You look stunning, darling. It's time. This is your night."

Sabrina glanced at him and he smiled. The hanging diamond earrings peeking out from beneath her hair were flashing in the light of the cameras and they matched the glow shining from his fiancé's beautiful pink eyes. Nearly red in this light even. As she turned back to face forwards, her own fingers lightly squeezing his, he could see that they had firmed once more. "Thank you, darling," Sabrina's voice whispered in his mind. "What now?"

"This is your night." Nicholas released her hand, his finger trailing across the light purple silk that made up Sabrina's gloves. "I am merely your escort. Be fearless. I am here."

Sabrina let out her breath and stepped forwards.

Nicholas followed a few steps behind. They'd discussed what he should wear at length but there had been only one real answer. The same white suit as when he'd first arrived in Unova. Neither of them had said it, but Nicholas knew Sabrina had understood when he'd insisted. Other opportunities, he'd said to her on that day, when Karen's presence had stolen Sabrina's happiness from her. Here was one now. Extra fitting if all went to plan.

It was a maelstrom of activity before they were able to walk into the building. More actors and actresses walking the carpet behind them, Sabrina caught up by a multitude of interviews and photo ops. A few cameras turned for Nicholas as well, but every time he saw one pointing in his direction he just turned and held out a hand towards wherever Sabrina was standing at the time. This wasn't about him, and he wasn't going to let anyone try and change that.

Finally though they entered the theater. Surrounded by the cast and crew, along with major backers and other VIPs, Sabrina settled in beside him as they prepared to watch the movie together.

"I really hope you like it," Sabrina murmured as the lights dimmed and a long list of special thanks began to play in place of the usual pre-movie commercials Nicholas was used to seeing.

"I know I will," he whispered back. "I just wish everyone else could have been here to see it with us."

Sabrina sighed. "That would have been so wonderful," she said wistfully. "It's too bad they only would let me bring you."

Nicholas leaned over to rest his head on hers. "Imagine the whole place was our pokegirls instead of these stuffy folks."

Sabrina giggled and rested against him. "Now that would be a premiere." Her smile faded. "Maybe one day. If I make it big enough that could be real."

"Why not now?" Nicholas reached over to place his hand around Sabrina's shoulder. "Comfortable like this?"

Sabrina blinked as she settled into his touch. "Nicholas?"

"Are you comfortable?"

"Well, yes…"

"Then take a look." Nicholas relaxed, opening his mind as he invited her in. "Come inside my mind and see."

Sabrina felt his body go limp and hesitantly looked for his mind, confusion rising when she felt… she wasn't sure what she felt. Until she pushed inside and the connection seared through her with a shocked gasp.

Nicholas shifted, his arm squeezing her comfortingly as Sabrina stared around a completely different theater. "I think this is so much better," she heard his voice whisper to her. Sabrina glanced down to see empty seats below them, only the lightest of shimmers giving away the psychic constructs that were there. "What do you think?"

Sabrina slowly looked around again. Everyone in this theater was looking at her, and… There was Diana, Madeline, all of her pokegirls, grinning as behind them the special thanks continued to play on the screen, all around her the pokegirls of Nicholas' harem all watching their Mistress… "How is this possible?"

Sabrina gasped when she heard laughter from the pokegirls around her. How had they heard her? What was going on?

"Master Nicholas came up with the idea," a voice behind them said and Sabrina whirled to see Kali squatting in the aisle, her eyes closed but still shining brilliantly with psychic power as she held her hands in the air to give form to the two constructs that she, through Nicholas, had linked him and Sabrina to. "I hope you enjoy it, Mistress."

"Kali? Sabrina gasped in surprise, her eyes widening when Kali's lips moved but her own voice came out instead. "You would do this for me…?"

The legendary chuckled and cracked her eyes open to stare straight through Sabrina, Kali's pupils consumed in occult power. "This, and far, far more, my Mistress," she replied. "I hope you enjoy the show."

Sabrina felt Nicholas' touch pulling her back around and she turned, listening as the harems erupted in cheers when the lights went all the way down and the movie began, and miles away from where her consciousness sat the woman's eyes began to glisten, tears dripping down her cheeks as she was overcome by her happiness.

When the movie ended some hours later and Sabrina opened her eyes, trading the thunderous roars of their pokegirls for the polite smattering of applause in the premiere theater, it was all she could do to stop crying. Nicholas was there, wiping her face, and she let out choking laughter when she realized that he'd smuggled in a full makeup kit in anticipation of her reaction. "Oh, honey-"

"I know," Nicholas whispered, helping her clean up. "Take a breath. We have to maintain silly appearances now, but we're almost done. You can do this."

"How did you manage it?" Sabrina cried, wiping her tears from her face. "How on earth? It was like we were there, and the theater, how did you manage to secure an entire theater just for me…? Let alone the film…?"

"I had help from a friend," Nicholas replied quietly. "I'll explain more later, I promise. Kali and I have been working feverishly ever since I got back to make the link work the way we needed it to. And it did."

They delayed as long as they could to give Sabrina time to compose herself and it was only when they were almost the last ones in the theater that they left, to face the flashing cameras and chattering reporters and Sabrina found herself holding her head even higher than before, positively glowing in her happiness as Nicholas helped her into their limo and the door finally slid shut.
