Chapter 77 Danny vs Scarlet

The crowd cheered as Danny was declared the winner. Sam looked down at Danny from her box. If anyone deserved to win the tournament it was Danny. The prize money from the tournament would really help the Rebellion and Sam was sure with a little more pushing and talking, she could maybe convince Aragon to side with the Rebels and help them. One could hope though.

Danny was taken to the sides of the arena to get patched up, while all the other fighters were removed from the arena. Aragon watched as Danny was finished being patched up and spoke.

"People of Draga, we have our tournament champion! A very impressive young man. Now if Danny wishes, he can compete in a bonus round against my champion Scarlet. If he wins he get more money and if he loses he will still get to keep the money he has won. What says you Danny? Will you fight my champion?"

Danny thought for a few seconds before answering.

"I will."

"Excellent!" Said Aragon as the crowd cheered with approval.

Danny entered the ring and was handed a dull sword. Scarlet strolled into the ring dressed in his red armor and armed with a dull sword of his own. The shield went up and the fighters faced one another.

"Prepare to face defeat!" Declared Scarlet.

The fight began and Scarlet charged at Danny bringing a storm of strikes down upon him. Danny managed to block all the attacks, but he was slowly getting pushed back and couldn't find an opportunity to go on the offensive. Scarlet then kicked Danny in the gut knocking him to the ground. The champion then tried to slam his dull blade blade down on Danny, but he rolled away and shot to his feet. Danny charged at Scarlet and began to throw his own strikes at Scarlet forcing him back as he just barely managed to block Danny's attacks. Scarlet threw another kick at Danny, but this time he managed to dodge it and Scarlet was thrown off balance. Danny struck Scarlet in the back causing him to fall onto his face. Scarlet quickly jumped to his feet and managed to strike Danny in the face with his sword handle knocking Danny back. The champion delivered a punch to Danny's chin and knocked him onto his back, where Scarlet managed to deliver a few kicks to his side before Danny scrambled to his feet a bit dazed.

"You cannot win." Taunted Scarlet.

"Danny used the Force to guide you." Said Clockwork's voice in Danny's mind.

Danny took a deep breath and began to connect with the Force. Scarlet charged at Danny swinging his sword and Danny blocked all his attacks and delivered a few of his own to Scarlet. The crowd gasped as Danny began to go on the defensive and deliver a bunch of blows to Scarlet. Scarlet tried to fight back, but whatever he tried was easily blocked or dodged. Danny then slammed his sword right down on Scarlet's head!

"Impossible...!" Gasped Scarlet as he dropped his sword and fell on his back unconscious.

Everything was silent for a few seconds and then the crowd began to cheer loudly for Danny as the bonus round ended.
