Disclaimer: I don't own anything this is just a story for fun.
The Rebel ships that escaped from Froza met up with a small fleet of Rebel ships that included a medical ship. All the wounded along with Danny were transferred to the medical ship to get their injuries tended to. Danny was currently sitting in a bed with bandages on his cuts, with his mother by his side. The two were silent for several minutes, until Maddie asked her son what all happened between him and Wraith. Danny filled his mother in on everything that had happened, to the words exchanged before the fight, the battle in the village and cave, choosing to spare Wraith and tend to her injuries, and the words he exchanged with Wraith before they parted ways. Maddie took all this in. She was both proud and afraid for Danny. On one hand Danny had done incredibly to hold his own against, his clone and had shown some true teachings of a Jedi by trying to reason with Wraith and choosing to show his energy kindness and compassion. On the other hand, Danny might have made Wraith even more determined to fight and end him and the clone could pose a serious threat to the Rebels.
"You know I really wonder if I made the right choice back on Froza. Should... I have struck Wraith down, when I had the chance? Should have I tried to capture her and bring her back to the Rebels and try to undo what Vlad did to her? I just don't know now." Said Danny looking unsure of himself.
"Hey it's alright. It was a tough call, but I think you did what you thought was best back there. You have a good heart Danny and you showed it by choosing to spare Wraith and you didn't capture her and force her to come with us, instead you showed her mercy and told she has the right to choose who she wants to be with. I think those actions will have a great impact on Wraith and who knows maybe in time, she will join us and then I'll have two young Jedis to train." Said Maddie giving Danny a smile.
"Thanks mom. I really needed to hear that." Said Danny with a smile.
The two of them shared a quick embrace.
"Now you just focus on getting healed up and the two of us will head back home." Said Maddie.
"I will." Said Danny.
Back on Froza, Wraith had gotten her communicator after retrieving her lightsaber from the cave and called in a shuttle to her location to pick her up. The shuttle had taken her to one of the Star Destroyers up in space and Wraith had been immediately taken to the medical bay to get patched up. As her wounds were healing Wraith thought back to her battle with Phantom. It had been an intense battle and due to a bit of shrapnel striking her head, after the boulder was destroyed due to hers and Phantom's Force abilities, Wraith had been at Phantom's mercy and thought she would surly meet her end, but instead of killing her Phantom had chosen to save her instead. Phantom had bandaged her head injury and had taken her to one of the nearby huts instead to rest. When Wraith had come to, demanding to know why Phantom had shown kindness to his enemy. Phantom had simply told her, he wanted to help her and that he was going to let her choose who she wanted to be with, before leaving the hut. Wraith went over the events in her head over and over agin. Phantom choosing to spare and show his enemy kindness didn't make any sense to the young Sith in training. Was this all some kind of Jedi mind game to make Wraith turn against Vlad and the Empire? Yet, when Wraith looked back at her memories, she could tell that Phantom was generally being sincere with his words. Wraith bit her lip in frustration. Phantom was just messing with her emotions to get her to come to his side. If he think she would easily fall for a ploy like that, he had another thing coming.
"Just you wait Phantom. This war between us is far from over. I'll get rid of you, your master, and then all of the Rebels. Once you're all out of the way, my master and me, will bring order to this whole galaxy." Said Wraith to herself as she stared out a window into the vastness of space.
To be continued.
