Chapter 119 Prey

Hotep Ra sat on his throne going over some information he had received from one of his informants in the Empire. Apparently Vicky's illegal activities had been found and she had been stripped of her rank and made into a common solider. Also a trio of higher Imperial officers had been killed by General Vlad himself. It was a bit bad for business since Vicky and the trio of dead officers had been fairly good business partners to Hotep Ra and the criminal underworld. Now Hotep Ra had to look for new Imperial officers to do business with, since Vlad was clapping down hard on corruption and any officer who might be willing to do business with the criminal underworld would be too scared and those who did have the courage to do so, would ask for a huge sum of money. It really was an annoying matter to deal with.

Hotep Ra decided to deal with a different matter. One that was sure to bring in large sums of money. A hunting competition like no other, with the prey being high ranked members of the Rebels. Thanks to some vehicles and equipment donated from Vicky. Hotep had what he needed to get what he needed. With aid of some of his criminal associates, Hotep Ra had a rumor about political prisoners be transported through Casper in small Imperial cargo hovercraft. The Rebels would come to the rescue and when they did, Hotep Ra's men would spring into action and capture them. It was a perfect plan.

In Casper a small Imperial cargo hovercraft was making it's way through the city. The hovercraft appeared to only have two Stormtroopers in the front. Everything was peaceful, until a light pole suddenly fell right in front of the hovercraft forcing it to stop. The Stormtroopers got out to see what was going on, when Valerie came flying in on the scene and blasted the two Stormtroopers with some stun blasters knocking them out. Danny popped out from behind a dumpster he'd been crouching behind and headed to the hovercraft to free the political prisoners he believed were trapped inside. Valerie landed on the ground and joined him. They opened up the back and saw no one inside, but a couple of crates. Thinking the prisoners were inside the crate, the two Rebels went over to one and opened it up, only to get a face of strange smelling smoke that made Danny and Valerie feel dizzy. Before either of them could do anything some strange looking men suddenly appeared and blasted them with stun blast knocking them out.

"Targets secured." Said one of the men.

"Send transport for extraction." Said the other men into a communicator.

An armored hovercraft arrived on the scene and the men loaded up the unconscious Rebels in the back, after they removed their weapons. The men then helped the two Stormtroopers up and loaded them into the craft as well. The hovercraft headed to the space port, where everyone was loaded up onto a ship that quickly took off. The ship flew for a few hours before it reached Hotep Ra's Island and landed.

Hotep was pleased by the arrival of the final game piece to his little game. He had the unconscious Danny shacked together at the wrist and then he made a call to numerous criminals and bounty hunters informing of them of his little hunt. Skulker got the message and he was very exited.

"The hunt is on." Said Skulker to himself as he loaded up in his ship and headed to the island to get his revenge on both Danny and Valerie.
