Chapter 126 Hunting 6

In the base complete chaos was going on as Hotep Ra's guards fought against the crowd of angry criminals. Both sides were taking casualties and many dead guards and criminals littered the area. Little by little the criminals gained the upper hand and Hotep Ra realized his forces were going to fall at both the hands of Big Daddy and the other criminals and the Rebels. Hotep Ra needed to escape! He shot a couple of enemies dead and he urged some of his guards to a wall that had a secret exit. Big Daddy saw this and made a rush towards the group taking a couple of the guards down with some stun blast from his blaster.

"You're not going anywhere!" Yelled Big Daddy.

"As if I'd lose to a man like you!" Yelled Hotep Ra as he fired a shot at Big Daddy and barely missed him.

Big Daddy reached Hotep Ra and slammed his fist into his face breaking Hotep Ra's nose and knocked him to the ground in a heap. All the fighting stopped as everyone looked at Big Daddy and Hotep Ra. Big Daddy readied his fist as Hotep Ra staggered to his feet with a bleeding nose. Hotep Ra glared at Big Daddy as he pulled out a dagger and stabbed at him. Big Daddy sidestepped the stab and grabbed Hotep Ra's knife arm twisting it hard. Hotep Ra cried out in pain as he was forced to drop the knife. Big Daddy released Hotep Ra and delivered another punch to his face knocking him to the ground unconscious. All the remaining guards lowered their weapons and surrendered.

With the fighting done the gangsters and criminals looked around not sure what to do. Many of the crowd looked to Big Daddy for leadership. Big Daddy took charge and grabbed Hotep Ra's communicator that allowed him to speak out to the people in the jungle as well as the people in the base.

"Attention everyone the hunt is over. It's been called off. Hotep Ra is no longer in charge and calling the shots. I highly recommend you leave the island at once." Said Big Daddy.

Many of the hunters in the jungle heard this and quickly began to make their way to their ships. The only hunters who didn't leave were Skulker, Terminatra, Nightmerica, and all the hunters that were still unconscious.

In the base the guards that had been fighting the Rebels, either surrendered or fled the scene include Behemoth. Maddie and her assault team took prisoners and headed to the main building and entered the main chamber, where they were met by the odd sight of Big Daddy and a crowd of criminals standing around a bound and gagged Hotep Ra. The criminals had weapons, but they were pointing them at the ground. For several seconds no one said anything. Then Big Daddy spoke.

"Hello Rebels. I am called Big Daddy and I was an associate and spectator of Hotep Ra's little show, but as you can see we had a falling out. We don't want any trouble. I already called off the hunt. You just need to go collect your people."

Maddie recognized Big Daddy's name as the person who contacted the Rebels and alerted them about what was going on.

"Very well. We will collect our people. You all can stay here or go." Said Maddie.

The crowd looked at Big Daddy, who nodded his head. The majority of the crowd left the building and headed to their ships to leave the island. Those that remained kept a weary eye on the Rebels as they headed to the bar to get some much needed drinks. Big Daddy took Maddie to the side for a private conservation.

"Thanks for alerting us about what was going on and a thanks for taking down Hotep Ra and calling off the hunt. You saved us a lot of trouble as well as saved our people." Said Maddie.

"No problem. Though you shouldn't thank me just yet. I may have called off the hunt and the hunters who are just interested in money may have left to save their skins, but there are a few dangerous diehard hunters out there still gunning for your people. They won't stop unless they're either killed, knocked out, or forced to retreat." Said Big Daddy.

"Then I guess we have to head out and put an end to this hunt." Said Maddie.

"What about these guys or the people who left? What's to keep them from contacting the Empire and bringing them here?" Asked Tucker joining the conversation.

"Don't worry about it. These people have had their fill of violence for the day and most of them have their own problems or issues with the Empire, so there's very little chance they'll contact the Empire. I'll also keep a close eye on them just incase." Said Big Daddy.

"Thank you." Said Maddie.

The Rebels headed into the jungle to rescue their people and put an end to the hunt.
