Chapter 127 Hunting 7

Skulker, Terminatra, and Nightmerica heard Big Daddy's announcement to the hunters. The three hunters exchanged looks. The sudden removal of Hotep Ra and the cancellation of the hunt was a surprise to the three hunters, but they weren't going to just give up on their hunt. For both Skulker and Terminatra the hunt was a personal matter against a hated enemy and the money was secondary. Nightmerica was a loyal followers who took commands from Terminatra and whatever she said goes.
"I'm not leaving, until I have killed the Phantom." Said Skulker.
"And I'm not leaving, until I kill Valerie." Said Terminatra.
"Then let's send them a little invite." Said Skulker as he pointed one arm up in the air and fired a flare.
The flare flew up into the air and exploded with a bright flash alerting everyone about their location. Skulker then took Danny's lightsaber and placed it on a large rock in the clearing they were in. Terminatra handed Nightmerica the key to the shackles.
"Go greet our prey and give them this key. I want to fight them at full strength without any hindrances. Also make sure nobody else interferes." Said Terminatra.
Nightmerica nodded as she headed into the jungle.
"What about Femalien?" Asked Skulker.
"I'm trying to reach her on her communicator, but she's not responding. She must have been taken out." Said Terminatra.
"Our adversaries have proven themselves as worthy prey. This will be a great fight." Said Skulker.
Terminatra nodded in agreement.
Elsewhere, Danny Valerie, Johnny, Shadow, and Kitty saw the flare and knew right away they were being called for a final challenge against their most dangerous enemies. The hunt may have been called off, but hunters like Skulker and Terminatra were going to continue regardless of what was said and whoever was in charge of the island. The group headed in the direction of the flare, when they encountered Nightmerica pointing a blaster at them. Nightmerica glared at Danny and the others before tossing the key to them.
"Take those shackles off and head to the clearing a few hundred yards behind me to face your final challenge. The rest of you stay where you are. If you try to interfere, I will blast you and slice you to ribbons." Said Nightmerica.
Danny and Valerie removed the shackles from their wrists with the key. They looked at their three comrades and nodded in thanks before they started to move past Nightmerica and towards the clearing. As they walked by Danny used the Force to pick up a rock and hurl it through the air striking a tree with a loud thud. The sudden loud noise got Nightmerica to whirl towards the direction of the noise and Valerie stuck her with a stun blast from her blaster knocking Nightmerica to the ground in a heap. Johnny, Kitty, and Shadow stared down at Nightmerica and then they looked up at Danny and Valerie in amazement. Danny and Valerie continued on to the clearing.
The two Rebels reached the clearing where they saw Skulker and Terminatra.
"At last the end is near. I must say I'm impressed you made it." Said Skulker.
"I've been waiting for this moment for a long time." Said Terminatra.
"You do realize that the hunt has been called off. There's also a good chance our people are here and have already taken down Hotep Ra and have taken control of the island." Said Danny.
"That is possibly true, but this hunt is about more then just money. I'm in it for the thrill as well for a little payback from our last encounter. As for your people being on the island, I'll either deal with them here or get off the island to deal with them another time." Said Skulker.
"This hunt is personal to me as well. You betrayed me Valerie and have been a thorn in my side for far too long. I'm going to kill you and then collect the bounty on your head. Afterwards I'll take my time picking off your Rebel friends." Said Terminatra with a cold chuckle.
"Don't talk about betrayal after you went behind my back and betrayed my ideals. Now I'm going to show you just how outclassed you really are." Said Valerie.
"So it looks like we're doing this. Can I get my lightsaber back?" Said Danny indicating the lightsaber on the rock.
"If you can get past me, you can use it." Said Skulker.
"Of course, he wouldn't just hand it over." Muttered Danny.
For a few seconds everything was quiet, then Danny, Valerie, Skulker, and Terminatra pulled out their blasters and began to fire at each other. Danny, Valerie, and Terminatra dodged out of the way to avoid being shot, while Skulker just stood there and let his armor absorb the shots and not affect him. Valerie and Terminatra ran side-by-side as they fired shots at each other, just barely missing each other and Danny rushed at Skulker.
Skulker activated a wrist mounted flamethrower on his right wrist and fired a burst of fire at the oncoming Danny. The teen jumped and used the Force to make himself go over the blast of flames and Skulker and land a few feet behind him. Skulker quickly turned around to see Danny sprinting towards the lightsaber. The armored bounty fired a missile from a launcher on his left shoulder at Danny. Danny heard the missile coming and whirled around to blast the missile with a Force push that diverted the missile to the side and smash into a tree and explode. The teen raced to his lightsaber, picked it up, and activated it. He whirled around to face Skulker.
"Now we're having fun! Let's see how you handle this!" Said Skulker as he activated two red energy shields on his arms and pulled out a electrostaff.
Both fighters tightly gripped their weapons and then they rushed at each other swinging their weapons. They met each other with a mighty clash.
Nearby Valerie and Terminatra were still firing shots at each other, but weren't really getting anywhere. Valerie decided it was time to get up and personal with her enemy, so she rushed her and delivered a kick to Terminatra's knocking her back. Terminatra quickly recovered and punched Valerie in the gut sending her reeling back. The cyborg bounty hunter advanced towards Valerie and grabbed her by the throat with her robotic arm before slamming her into a large rock. Terminatra then began to squeeze Valerie's throat hard making Valerie gasp.
"Yes! This is how it ends! I'm to choke the life out of you!" Laughed Terminatra.
Valerie blindly felt around as she pulled out a tiny knife from her belt and then she stabbed it as hard as she could right into the elbow joint of Terminatra's robot arm! The arm began to spark and spasm letting go of Valerie's throat allowing her her to breath.
"Noooo!" Cried Terminatra in dismay as she tried to regain control of her malfunctioning robot arm.
Valerie charged at Terminatra and began to deliver one punch after another to her face knocking her to the ground. The Rebel then pulled out her blaster and shot the cyborg with a stun blast knocking her out.
"Lucky for you, I have a code." Said Valerie to her defeated enemy.
Back with the other battle Danny was forced onto the defensive as Skulker struck at him with his electrostaff and occasionally took wild swings with his energy shielded arms. Skulker's suit may have been big, but it was surprisingly fast. Danny blocked a swing from the electrostaff and then ducked a blow from Skulker's left arm and backed up. The teen took a few breaths and concentrated using the Force. Skulker charged at Danny again swinging his electrostaff at him. Instead of blocking the attack, Danny bent his body back and let the blow swing right over him. In one fluid movement Danny twisted and his lightsaber sliced through Skulker's right leg causing the armor to slide to the side and become unbalanced. Skulker quickly tried to regain his balance by stabbing his electrostaff into the ground to act as a prop. Danny quickly took this opportunity to slice through the shaft of the electrostaff and made Skulker topple to the ground. He then sliced the other leg off.
"Looks like you don't have a leg to stand on. Give up Skulker. It's over." Said Danny looking down at his fallen enemy.
"Not yet!" Said Skulker as he sat up and activated the jets on his back.
Danny dove out of the way as Skulker rocketed at him. Skulker flew into the air and whirled around to face Danny firing another missile at him. Danny diverted the missile to the side with the Force making it hit a rock. Skulker raised both arms in front of himself and placed them together. He then charged at Danny with his energy shields and arms in front of him intending to crush Danny. Danny leaped into the air flipping over Skulker and striking the jets on his back making Skulker lose control and crash into some rocks with a terrible crash. The teen landed on his feet and approached the wrecked armored suit.
Skulker's suit was heavily damaged with dents and cuts. There was a groan and screech of metal as a hatch in the armor opened up and Skulker's true Zilkin form crawled out. Skulker was bruised and bleeding, but he was still alive. The Zilkin looked up at Danny with a look of both admiration and hate.
"You...are truly...the best...prey...I ever hunted." Said Skulker before he slumped over and passed out.
The hunt was finally over.
