Chapter 128 Hunting Aftermath

Danny looked down at the defeated Skulker and looked over at Valerie who stood over the defeated Terminatra. After a long day of challenges the two Rebels stood victorious over their defeated enemies. The plants nearby began to rustle and Danny and Valerie turned to face them expecting to face some other kind of threat, but out emerged Maddie, Tucker, Wulf and Crash. Danny and Valerie lowered their weapons as they relaxed. Maddie approached Danny and placed her hands on his shoulders.
"I'm so glad you're ok." Said Maddie.
"I'm just glad to see you." Said Danny.
The two of them hugged.
Tucker and Wulf went over to Valerie carrying her jetpack and some of her other gear she hadn't recovered yet. Valerie was pleased to see the gear as well as her friends and comrades. After tending to some injuries Danny and Valerie had received during the hunt and properly restraining both the unconscious Skulker and Terminatra the Rebels headed back to Hotep Ra's base where they were met by Big Daddy and some of his associates. Big Daddy stepped forward and spoke.
"After some debating and discussing, my associates and I want to form an alliance with the Rebels and support you."
"Why do you want to support us?" Asked Crash.
"After witnessing the combat and survival skills of both Phantom and Valerie, as well as your skills of finding this base, we think you stand a fair chance against the Empire. We also think it would be rather good for business to have you as our allies instead of our enemies." Said Big Daddy.
"Don't you guys work for the Empire?" Asked Tucker.
"To a extent, but none of us are loyal to it. The Empire will most likely try to betray us and lock us up. We would prefer that not to happen." Said Big Daddy.
"The enemy of my enemy is our friend. And we can use all the friends we can get." Said Maddie.
"So will you allow us to work with you?" Asked Big Daddy eyeing Maddie and Danny.
Danny and Maddie exchanged looks and nods before they reached out and shook Big Daddy's hand.
"So what's going to happen to Hotep Ra and his stuff?" Asked Valerie.
"We plan to drop off Hotep Ra off at a military outpost to be arrested, as for his stuff we plan to split it up evenly among ourselves." Said Big Daddy.
Some time later the Rebels took their ships and left the island and return to Goza City. Skulker and the other defeated bounty hunters were left in Big Daddy's care on the island. Danny and Maddie headed back to FentonWorks to clean and rest and Valerie, Tucker, Wulf and Crash headed to the hanger the Tempest was in to rest and clean up. Maddie made a full report to Sam about the hunt and that Big Daddy and several of his associates were now siding with the Rebels. It had been a chaotic few days, but at the end Danny and Valerie were alive and safe and the Rebels had new allies to help them against the Empire.
