"Jordan was WHAT?!"
Everyone shrank back hearing Hank's loud voice, he tried to move past them but Kelly grabbed his arm hoping to stop him. It might be a bad idea but he didn't wanna make things worse.
"Hank stop, we understand you're angry but don't go off and make things worse" Kelly told him.
"I'm not letting my daughter sit in jail for something she didn't do!" He removed Kelly's hand from his arm, making the squad Lieutenant back off.
"We understand but we have to work and prove Jordan's innocence" Matt told him. "She gave us a couple of names to go on, so we question them and go from there"
"They're right Hank, we have to work and solve this so Jordy can be free again" Erin spoke up. "I'll go and make sure she's ok, you stay here and work the case"
"No, I need to go make sure Jo is alright. I need to get her out"
"Jordan isn't getting out" Came another voice, one that didn't belong to any of them. It was Denny Woods. "I'm sorry Hank but you can't get Jordan out of this, the charge is serious"
"I know my daughter, Denny. She didn't do this. She was framed and we can prove it" Hank told his former partner sharply.
"Hank unless you have an eyewitness or security footage I have to go by the evidence. Jordan set the fire. Open and shut case, time to move on. I hate to say but you can't get Jordan out of trouble this time"
"And just who the hell do you think you are?" Kelly asked sharply. "If this is an arson case then we work it like any other case. We will work this case and prove Jordan's innocence. We already have evidence that she was knocked down before the fire was set so if she was knocked out how did she set the fire? You can't start a fire if you're knocked out"
"I'd watch who you're talking to.." He looked at Kelly's work shirt and saw his rank. "Lieutenant"
"And I'd watch who you're talking to," Matt warned Denny. "Regardless of what you say we're working this case"
"I can't control what arson investigates but I do control what Intelligence investigates and I say, Intelligence is off this case"
Meanwhile
Jordan was brought to a different district, she knew not to fight and make things worse for herself. They had fingerprinted her, took her mug shots, when she was finished they had brought her to an interrogation room. They handcuffed her to the table- per Denny's request. He informed them Jordan could get violent and as a safety measure he had them keep her handcuffed.
One of the officers had come in. "Jordan, I'm Detective Halloway"
"Good for you." She spoke, pushing the chair back with the heel of her foot leaning back.
He read the papers and saw something. "Your last name is Voight. You're Hank Voight's kid"
"That's some nice detective work. I've been told I act like him too"
"You sound like you do. Why don't we talk about what happened"
"I rather not" She then set the handcuffs on the table. "There ya go"
"What the hell.."
"I knew how to get out my dad's handcuffs by 9"
"Jordan, what happened at the school"
"Call my dad. Better yet let me call my dad"
"Did someone push you to it? Was it an accident? Talk to me and tell me what happened. I can help you"
"I've heard that before"
"You're a stubborn one"
"Been told that too"
The Detective knew he wouldn't be getting anywhere with Jordan now so he got up and went out the room.
Back at the district Hank was livid at what Denny said, there was no way in hell he was going to let this case go. He was going to clear his daughter's name. Matt and Kelly had gone back to the scene, Hank went to the district where Jordan was being held. Antonio and Kevin were bringing in the two boys that were suspected of attacking Jordan and causing the fire.
"What are we doing here?" one boy, Scott asked.
"You'll figure it out," Kevin told him.
They separated the two boys putting them in different rooms, Antonio went to talk to Scott while Kevin went to talk with Jeremy.
Scott was in the interrogation room sitting across from the senior detective.
"Let's have a talk Scott"
