Chapter 146 The Attack 3

As the battle raged on Valerie flew through the air above with her jet pack making her way to FentonWorks with a mission to retrieve the Ring of Rage and get it far away from the city, until a Rebel Ship could come and get the ring off planet. Ships flew around blasting each other to bits, but they ignored Valerie. The former bounty hunter felt very lucky by this and hoped that her luck would hold out, until the ring was off the planet.
At FentonWorks, Jack and Jazz had gotten a call from Maddie explaining the situation and had quickly gotten the ring out of the safe, put it in a box and had taken it to the roof for Valerie to come pick it up. Jack and Jazz had armed themselves with some blasters as they waited for Valerie to arrive.
Dark Laser rode in one of his troop carriers as along with a dozen troops as the carrier made it's way to FentonWorks. A few TIE Fighters tried to attack the carrier and take it down, but Dark Laser's Scarabs and Vulture Droid's fended them off and protected the ship. One TIE Fighter did manage to get through the defenses and flew at the carrier, Dark Laser batted it aside with the Force and smashed it into a nearby building causing it to explode and fall to the street below. The crown had enhanced Dark Laser's powers and he was going to use that power to retrieve the ring and bring Pariah Dark to the world of the living to usher in a new age.
A few hundred yards behind Dark Laser's carrier a shuttle carrying Fright Knight, Wraith, Vid, Thrash, Download, Vicky, Dash, Kwan, Klemper, and have a dozen Stormtroopers watched as a Tie Fighter was smashed into the side of a building in shock. Fright Knight and Wraith could sense Dark Laser's power. Vid, Thrash, Download were not Force sensitive, but were fully aware of the existence of the Force and knew exactly what it could do and saw what a real threat Dark Laser was becoming. Vicky, Dash, Kwan, Klemper, and the other Stormtroopers were freaked out by what they witnessed and Vicky, Dash, Kwan, and Klemper were having second thoughts about coming along on this mission. Vicky had a mix of emotions, she still desired her revenge on Wraith, but now she was fearful about what they were going up against. The Stormtrooper decided it was best to simply bide her time and wait for the perfect opportunity to strike.
On the ground bellow, Danny, Maddie, and Clockwork raced through the streets on their speeder bikes hoping to reach FentonWorks. Danny and Maddie were fearful of what might happen to Jack and Jazz and hoped that Valerie would get to them in time. Clockwork was having trouble seeing the future, most likely due to the powers of the crown and ring. The Jedi Master hoped that the items would not fall into enemy hands and he would do everything in his power to make sure that didn't happen.
Jack and Jazz waited on the roof of FentonWorks with their blasters and the ring, when they saw Valerie approaching them and relaxed a little as Valerie landed on the roof. Jack handed the box with the ring in it to Valerie.
"I'll try to get this out of the city, the two of you better find a safe place to hide or leave the building. No telling who might show up soon." Said Valerie.
"Got it." Said Jack.
Valerie took off into the air and started to head to the outskirts of the city. It was then Dark Laser's carrier arrived on the scene and began to make it's way to FentonWorks as Jack and Jazz headed back into the building. Dark Laser reached out with the Force trying to locate the ring. If it was close, he could pick it up. Dark Laser sensed the ring wasn't in the FentonWorks building, but elsewhere. He reached out and sensed the ring coming from an armored figure with a jet pack trying to fly away from the city.
"After that Mandalorian!" Ordered Dark Laser to the pilot of the carrier.
The carrier took off after Valerie closing the distance. Valerie saw the carrier and was fixing to fly down towards the street and buildings in hopes of losing her pursuers, but before she could do anything an invisible force stopped her altogether and she wasn't flying forward anymore. She desperately tried to move in any direction, but couldn't. Valerie quickly realized she must have been grabbed by someone using the Force. She thought about pulling on the box and dropping it to the ground below in a attempt to keep it away from the enemy, but the same invisible force that was keeping her from flying anywhere now froze her body in place! The enemy wasn't taking any chances as they closed in on Valerie.
Dark Laser smiled beneath his mask as the carrier closed in on Valerie and the ring. Soon it would be his.
The shuttle carrying Fright Knight and his forces arrived on the scene, saw what was happening, and quickly put two and two together. Fright Knight turned to Wraith.
"We can not allow the enemy to get that ring. I need your help to use your Force abilities and focus on that carrier." Said Fright Knight.
"Understood." Said Wraith.
Fright Knight and Wraith focused their Force abilities on the carrier and began to push on it with all their might. The carrier began to jerk about as Dark Laser lost a bit of his focus on Valerie and turned his attention on the new attack. Valerie felt the pressure release her as she quickly dropped the ring to the ground below. Dark Laser felt his rage grow as he sensed the ring drop and he lashed out with the Force at Fright Knight's shuttle striking the front of it and causing it to plummet to the ground below, but the shuttle managed to fire a laser blast that struck one of the carrier's engines making it fall to the ground below as well. Both ships hit the ground below with a loud crash.
Valerie realized she was fully free now as she flew down to the ground below to retrieve the ring and see what the condition of both enemies was.
Dark Laser groaned slightly as he used his lightsaber to cut a hole in the carrier's side to get out followed by his troops. The fall had been hard, but it wasn't enough to kill anyone in the two ships. Dark Laser glanced at the crashed shuttle before turning his attention to finding the ring. It was close by, he could sense it. One of the troopers went about calling another carrier to come pick them up.
Fright Knight and Wraith used their lightsabers to cut themselves out of the shuttle and they came out followed by all the others. They saw Dark Laser and his forces and they began to exchange fire with them. Fright Knight charged at Dark Laser followed by Wraith and Vid, Download, and Thrash who charged in with their force pikes.
Valerie landed on the ground nearby and began searching for the ring as Danny, Maddie, and Clockwork arrived on the scene. The three Jedi jumped off their speeder bikes and charged on in to fight Dark Laser's forces.
Fright Knight, Wraith, Vid, Download, and Thrash circled Dark Laser with their weapons ready.
"This is your last warning. Surrender yourself to our custody." Said Fright Knight.
"I think not. I am on a quest to bring forth a new age and you will not stop me. Now I can sense you are strong and it would be a waste to kill people as strong as you five, but if you surrender and join me, you will be spared." Said Dark Laser.
"We will never join you!" Declared Wraith.
"So be it." Said Dark Laser.
"Attack!" Yelled Fight Knight.
The five warriors charged forward. Dark Laser struck out with a Force wave that knocked Vid, Download, and Thrash away, before deflecting a swing from Wraith and blocking blocking a swing from Fright Knight. He shoved Fright Knight back and blocked another swing from Wraith before using a Force push to shove both Wraith and Fright Knight back. Vid, Download, and Thrash charged forward with their pikes and thruster them forward, but Dark Laser did a Force flip over them and slammed the trio to the ground with a Force smash.
Wraith and Fright Knight struck out with a Force wave at Dark Laser, but he countered it with a Force wave of his own. For several seconds the two attacks pushed against each other with neither side giving way. Then Vicky who had snuck away from the conflict with Dark Laser's forces and was hiding behind a pillar decided to make her move. She took careful aim and fired her blaster at Wraith. The blast flew and struck Wraith in the right shoulder making her cry out in pain and lose focus. This allowed Dark Laser's attack to breakthrough and slam Fright Knight and Wraith into a building a dozen yards away.
Yes!" Thought Vicky with glee.
Unbeknownst to Vicky Kwan and Klemper had witnessed this little surprise attack.
Dark Laser closed in on the two down opponents, when he suddenly turned his head to down the street, where he saw Valerie about to pick up the box that had the ring in it. He reached out with the Force and grabbed the box pulling it towards himself with incredible speed. The box was only a few yards away, when it suddenly stopped. Dark Laser turned to see Clockwork glaring at him as he stretched his hand out to the box.
"You will not have it." Said Clockwork.
"I will have it!" Declared Dark Laser.
The two wrestled with the box with the Force for several seconds and for a while they were evenly matched, until a carrier charged onto the scene and fired laser around the area forcing Clockwork to let go and dodge out of the way of a blast. Dark Laser got the box and took the ring out placing it on a finger on his righthand. Power like never before surged through him as he let out a evil laugh.
"YES! THE POWER!" Laughed Dark Laser as Clockwork, Maddie, Danny, Fright Knight, Wraith, Vid, Download, and Thrash got up to face him.
Dark Laser faced the gathered enemies before he unleashed a mighty wave of Force that sent them all crashing to the ground. Valerie, Stormtroopers and Dark Laser's troops were also struck by the mighty attack and knocked to the ground as well. The carrier landed on the ground next to Dark Laser and he boarded it.
"Today marks the day of a new age! The Empire and the Rebels will be completely wiped out and from their ashes and new ruling power shall be born! Soon Pariah Dark shall rise and destroy you all!" Declared Dark Laser before the carrier flew away.
Danny, Maddie, Clockwork, and Valerie exchanged concerned looks before they fled the scene.
Fright Knight helped a injured Wraith up as he gathered up his forces and began making calls to Vlad about what happened as well as get reports of all the damage caused in the attack.
The carrier transporting Dark Laser reached the Strife and the big ship flew away from planet Casper leaving the Dagger behind. It was a good victory Dark Side of the Force.
