New Domino City, despite being less than thirty kilometers away from the Satellite, but for most of Yusei Fudo's life, it might as well have been on the other side of the planet, maybe even an entirely different world if he was being honest.

For he had never thought he would actually be here, as Yusei had just managed to escape from Sector Security and the Satellite itself using the period there was maintenance, and the garbage line wasn't being used. He drove with his Duel Runner, the Yusei-Go, to the city.

All for the sake of getting answers.

As two years ago, he and his friends had been betrayed by the one Yusei had never thought possible of doing so.

The memory of it still stung Yusei to this day.

Two years ago.

"I can't believe it," Jack said after Yusei had finished reading aloud the note that had been left if the bed of the one that had written.

"I can't either," Yusei said, disbelief clear in the Enforcer's voice as he stared at the note.

Sorry, everyone, but I was given an offer I couldn't refuse.

To escape the Satellite and go to New Domino City.

The price was to steal Yusei's Duel Runner as a means of transporting myself and his Stardust Dragon.

I am sorry, but this life is not for me.

Yours truly.

"Yeah, out of everyone here, Yugo is the last person I would think to do such a thing," Kalin said as it was little Yugo, the team's little brother who had saved his life, explained to him the situation and proved to him that Yusei hadn't abandoned him. the first person I would think of that would.

"Yeah, the first person on my mind is Jack," Crow commented.

"Hey!" Jack objected.

"But is he wrong, though?" Kalin asked.

"…Okay fair, but Yugo…" Jack said.

"I am going to proper answers," Yusei said.

"Huh?" The rest of the Enforcers sounded.

"I am going to go to New Domino City and get my answers from Yugo," Yusei said.

"Not just you, Yusei," Jack said. "All of us are."

"Right, we do this we do this together," Kalin said.

"Right," Crow said. "So the first order of business is to help Yusei make a new Runner, as one was clearly needed for whatever route Yugo used. Second, find out how he did it."

"You heard the bird, Yusei? Let's get started."

Yusei was quiet for a moment, wiping the tears that had formed before he spoke. "Yes, let's get started."

The Present.

Yusei shook his head; he needed to focus, as the rest of the team had managed to come with him, but they quickly had to split and would meet up later as four Duel Runners were not very subtle.

As for Yusei?

He had a specific target.

Yugo.

Or rather Yugo Pendragon, the King of Turbo Dueling as he liked to call himself now.

Though Yusei and the others only knew that and where they lived, thanks to the working tv and satellite cable that had been donated to the orphanage.

It was one of many things alongside necessities that had been given to it and others over the last eighteen months.

Which had greatly increased the standard of living for many in the Satellite, but it was still a far cry from even the poorest people in New Domino City.

And while the others denied it, Yusei knew damn well who had given them all that stuff.

Only person in New Domino would ever care about the people in the Satellite, and that was Yugo.

That was why… that was why Yusei wasn't mad or angry with Yugo, sad and disappointed, yes, but not angry.

"Hello, Yusei," A voice that Yusei had not heard in two years spoke from beside him, and he saw a boy that he had not seen in two years drive up on the Duel Runner that he had stolen from him, but it had clearly been overhauled over the years to make it his own.

The Divine Tempest.

"Yugo," Yusei replied as his mind was thrust into the past.

A Decade ago.

Ten-year-old Yusei Fudo watched as a boy who was three years younger than him with blue and yellow hair got beaten up by other kids.

"Hey, what do you think you are doing!" Yusei shouted as he got between them, landing a single punch on one of the bullies, which ended the beating. "Hey, you okay?"

"Yeah, I am," The blue and yellow-haired boy replied. "Thanks to you, they didn't get them."

"Get what?" Yusei asked.

"My cards!" The boy exclaimed as he held a deck of Duel Monster cards.

"That's good they didn't get your cards; my name is Yusei; what is yours?" Yusei asked.

"Yugo!"

"Fu-sion?" Yusei asked.

"No, Yu-Go!"

"ah."

The Present.

"Why?" Yusei asked. "Why did you do it?" Yusei cried.

"Duel me," Yugo replied.

"What?"

"Duel me, win and I will explain, and you will also get Stardust Dragon back," Yugo stated.

Yusei was quiet for a moment. "Fine."

"Then follow me."

"Yugo, I hope you know what you are doing," Rin said as she watched her boyfriend and his former friend and comrade enter the Fortune Cup Turbo Duel Track.

She hoped things would turn out okay as Yugo was certain that this Yusei was a fellow Signer whose mark had yet to manifest and hoped this duel would do it.

"Engaging Turbo Duel Mode," She heard the bikes announce, the sound clear as day in the large and empty stadium.

"Duel!" They both shouted as they drove at speeds towards the first corner to see who went first as per the rules of a Turbo Duel.

And…

Rin saw Yusei pass the corner first.

"I let you go first!" Yusei declared, shocking Rin.

"Fine, I will go first then," Yugo responded.

And on her tablet she saw the life point counter activate.

Yusei Fudo LP: 4000

Yugo Pendragon LP: 4000

"First, since I control no monsters, I can special summon Speedroid Terrortop from my hand." A that the malicious-looking children's toy appeared beside him. "And then he is. I can add a Speedroid card from my deck to my hand. I choose Speedroid Double Yoyo. Next, I Normal Summon Speedroid Horse Stilts to my field, which triggers his effect to allow me to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Speedroid from my hand. I choose my Speedroid Maliciousmagnet."

"Yugo you know that is now how that card works," Rin said. "Are you trying to lose?"

"I end my turn.

"Yugo, are you making fun of me?" Yusei roared. "My turn, I draw. I activate the Continuous Spell Ready! Set! Go!" The card appeared on the field. "And then it is the only card I control; when I activate it, I can add a Synchron monster to my hand. I pick my Synchron carrier, then I activate Tunnig to add Quickdraw Synchron to my hand, then I mill the top card of my deck."

"I am not mocking you," Yugo replied.

"Hhh, I activate Quickdraw's effect by discarding a card; I Special Summon him to the field," Yusei said. "Then I Normal Summon Synchron Carrier, which allows me to Normal Summon an additional Synchron monster, and I choose the Tuner, Junk Synchron." The little orange appeared right next to the other monsters. "Who then allows me to Special Summon the Quillbolt Hedgehog I discarded, which then activates Satellite Synchron's effect in my hand, for then the monster is special summoned from the graveyard, I can Special Summon him."

"Five monsters," Rin said in amazement.

"Next, I will be running my Level 2 Quillbolt Hedgehog with my Level 3 Junk Synchron, Warrior of the Scrapyard. Heed my call and manifest to bring about a brighter tomorrow, Synchro Summon! Level 5! Junk Warrior!"

And there was the first synchro summon of the duel.

"The Synchron Carrier's effect activates, which summons a Synchron Token to my field, and then my Junk Warrior gains attack equal to all level 2 monsters currently on my field meaning." Yusei declared.

Junk Warrior(4000ATK)

"He could win right now," Rin said as she saw the 0 Atk monster currently on Yugo's field.

"But I am not done yet," Yusei said. "Now I going to Tune my Level 2 Synchron Carrier with my Level 5 Quickdraw SYnchron to Synchro Summon! Level 7! Junk Archer, and thanks to Quickdraw's other ability, he can substitute for Junk Synchron."

"Well played, Yusei," Yugo said.

"Yugo." Yusei began. "You are not dueling to your best. I could win here and now, but I won't, I want to see you actually duel! Not this quick losing; if so, you could have just handed my Stardust Dragon back ten minutes ago!"

"Right, I am sorry." Yugo apologized.

"But to teach you your lesson, Junk Archer(2300 ATK) attack his Speedroid Malicousmagnet(0 ATK)!" Yusei declared as he drove faster to increase the impact of the attack.

The monster was destroyed.

"Come on, Yugo, get your head back in the game," Rin said as she saw the life points drop.

Yugo Pendragon LP: 1700

"I end my turn."

"My turn now. I draw!" Yugo said. "I activate Speed Recovery to Special Summon a Speeroid Monster from my grave, and I choose Speedroid Maliciousmagnet whose effect now activates properly; I target your Junk Archer, and with it, I can synchro summon, So I Tune Level 5 Junk Archer with my Level 1 Speedroid Maliciousmagnet! Light a path toward the future, and carry the hopes and dreams of everyone who believes in the stars! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Stardust Dragon!"

Rin's eyes went wide as she saw the dragon that she had only seen the card off, as she had never seen Yugo actually summon it in any Duel.

It was the dragon of the one he was dueling, and Rin could hear it cry out in pain of not being in its partner's deck.

"Stardust!" Yusei almost cried.

"You wanted your dragon here he is, Yusei! But I am not done I Normal Summon the level 3 Tuner, Speedroid Tri-Eyed Dice! I then tune my Level 4 Speedroid Horse Stilts with my Level 3 Speedroid Tri-Eyed Dice. Spread those wondrous and beautiful wings. Strike down our enemies at light speed! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

And at that, Rin saw the beautiful monster that was Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, hit the field, and every time it did, Rin was filled with wonder and awe.

"Next, I activate the Spell Card Hi-Speed Re-Level by banishing a Speedroid monster from my grave; I can target a Synchro Monster I control; its level becomes the banished monster's level, and it gains 500 ATK times the level of the monster, so I Banish Speedroid Tri-Eyed Dice, and select Stardust Dragon!"

"That means its attack is equal to Junk Warrior's!" Yusei stated.

And Rin knew what he was going to do.

He was going to make them crash into each other.

"Correct, Battle Phase, Stardust Dragon attack Junk Warrior!" Yugo declared, and the two monsters battled, which resulted in their mutual destruction as Stardust Dragon's beam hit Junk Warrior, and its exploding body destroyed Stardust Dragon. "Then Clear Wing, destroy his Satellite Synchron!"

The attack went through.

"I end my turn by setting Speedroid Terrortop to defense position."

Rin knew this would be the final turn, as she now got Yugo's plan.

Stardust Dragon was in the graveyard, and if Yusei had that Spell Card, he could get his dragon back.

"My turn, I draw!" Yusei declared with all his might. "During the Standby Phase Ready! Set! Go! Gains a signal counter, but that doesn't matter as from my hand I activate the Spell Card Monster Reborn!" Yusei shouted.

"And he drew it," Rin said in shock.

"And I target the Stardust Dragon in your Graveyard!"

And so the card was ejected from Yugo's Duel Disk and was fired straight onto Yusei's Blade.

And from beyond the grave, Stardust Dragon rose on Yusei's side of the field as he drove up beside Yugo, the two dragons staring dead at each other and…

Rin felt a searing pain on her right arm and she looked down to see her Signer Mark glowing, the Right Claw of the Crimson Dragon.

And then Rin heard it.

The cry.

And then her vision was filled with crimson light as a giant crimson dragon barreled through the Turbo Duel track.
