It was late, he was lying, still dressed in bed, one arm lying over his forehead when he heard his phone bus. He looked over at his nightstand before half sitting up on his elbow and grabbing it. It was Kagome.

He quickly answered "Kagome?"

She bit her lip, suddenly she did not know what to say,

"Woman?" He grew slightly concerned, was something wrong or did she call by mistake?

"I, um, I'm, could you-" She wanted to hang up but it was far to late for that. "Are you busy?" She suddenly asked,

"Woman, it is midnight,"

"Yeah you hardly sleep, I just figured you would still be working,"

Not after what all happened. "I am not working,"

She sighed feeling stupid,

"Are you well?" He asked,

"I'm, I'm fine," She said, "You know what I'm not fine,"

He sat up all the way, "Is it the baby?"

"No, it's not the baby!" She snapped,

"Tell me what you need Kagome,"

"You," She whispered softly, "What would say, would you even care if I said you," Tears formed in her eyes and she put it out there. "And not because of this baby,"

He stood, grabbed his keys, and made his way out of his house, "I'd say that im coming," She heard the roar of his car.

They didnt say thinking more, but let their phones slip from their ears when he was at her door, looking at her.

He tossed his phone, she dropped hers as he took her close to him and kissed her.

Walking backwards, peeling off clothes they did not break their kiss till he tossed her backwards, gently, onto the bed.

"Should we talk about this?" She asked,

"No," He leaned down and kissed her deeply and she grabbed his arms. "Do not overthink it," He told her,

"It's not thinking what got us in trouble."

"We thought too much and we are not in trouble,"

She smiled. No, they were not in trouble, they were in love.

She didnt have to think, or second guess his feelings when he made love to her that night. He took care and went slow.

He didnt have to think or second guess when his fangs elongated and marked her.

They didnt think about anything else but each other.

They didnt think of the outside world, the differences, the what-ifs, or what was to come. It didnt matter.

It only mattered that she loved him. It only mattered that he loved her.

When the media would question why her, he would simply take her hand and walk away.

He didnt owe anyone any explanation, he only owned her.

In the beginning, they didnt think anything of their one-night stand, of what it would bring, or what it meant because at the time it didn't matter.

Only the heat of the moment, only her skin against his. But there was truth in it. His need of her, her need of him. The want, the desire.

The fire.

What beauty it brought as he looked down at their newborn baby.

Sometimes you have to clear your head and listen to your heart and sometimes, follow your nose.

The end.
