Still Blue

Chapter 1

What if i lied. To everyone and given how raw i was emotionally.

I'm not surprised that i made the choices i did back then.

I had lost my best friend to the only boy i had ever loved.

He had feelings for her and i watched as they formed a relationship.

They were at prom together so in love.

But that moment me and Lucas shared at the graduation party.

The bond. Their connection. She saw it and felt it.

But she knew she would be a burden. Road block. Obligation.

And after the meet up at the Rivercourt.

She went home. She was pregnant. And managed to hide it.

Under bigger clothes and throughout graduation.

People knew about the breakup between them and didn't question her weight gain.

But once she reached full term and started going into labor.

She went into her cellphone contacts and called the person she needed.

Who would be there for her from start to finish.

"I need you. I'm in labor." Brooke announced.

In no time at all. Rachel was at her side.

Getting her into the car. Putting aside her hospital bag.

As she pressed hard on the gas.

She knew something was up with her roommate.

For months now. She wanted Brooke to come to her but since she hadn't she had done what she can to make sure no one knew.

Her suspicion was verified when she got that call tonight.

She was by Brooke's side as they entered the delivery room.

Feeding her ice chips. Wiping sweat off her face.

Encouraging her to breath and to push.

After hours of labor. Brooke had given birth.

The baby being born with beautiful features. A full head of hair.

She felt tears well up in her own sight at the two.

And she wasn't the kids/maternal type.

With tears falling from her eyes. She gazed down at her baby.

Dark chocolate locks and blue eyes.

She named her Penelope. Which was her middle name.

Virginia. Which was Rachel's middle name.

Penelope Virginia Davis.

Her mind wandered to Lucas. Especially once she got back to her hospital room.

She placed Penelope in a nearby cot by the hospital bed.

"I'm going to call him." Brooke announced.

But once she did. It was Peyton who picked up.

When she requested to talk to Lucas.

Peyton said he wanted nothing to do with her. That she was his fate and destiny. If she cared about Lucas she needed to let him be happy.

And Brooke hung up the phone deciding to do exactly that.
