A/N: In this fanfic, everything is set in the Venom Movie universe. Some characters who aren't officially part of the MCU are also here, as well as beings who are still only in comics. Gwen Stacy has an altered origin in the fanfic but read the next chapters to find out. I'm also adding Venom's offspring as well as a bunch of original characters. This isn't entirely focused on Venom or Gwen. I'll try to make this an all-star story.
Life Foundation was rotten on so many levels. The most sickening was using human beings as test subjects without their consent. But they weren't nearly as terrible as their competitor.
S.I.L.K Industries.
Through the eyes of a test subject, dark figures were standing around the hospital bed. "Checking, heart beat accelerating, but skin has lost serotonin".
"Pause, she is still conscious! Little girl, shut those eyes, wouldn't want our subject named—"
"Gwendolyn Maxine Stacy!", a voice hollered belonging to a shadow covering a blonde teenage girl. She sat up with an imitation of a zombie character.
"Now I eat brains", she mocked with a zombie impression. She looked at a small yellow and brown creature with a long yellow mane. It was sitting on Gwen's lap. "Scream". Gwen stared at her younger alien/human hybrid sister. Scream hummed.
"Remember that time I caught you and Agony trying to apply makeup on my face while I was asleep?"
The child nodded. Gwen leaned forward to her close enough for a nose touch. "And do you remember what I did to get you back?" Scream's smile dropped and she seemed to be recalling the memory. The part with the bees was horrible on its own. She shivered at the thought.
"Now…scram!" she hissed with warning. Scream ran out of the room at inhuman speed. She left the door open for the parents to stop and look at the young teen.
Blue: Crap, parents see us in bed and it's Monday.
Pink: Great, first day in prison. Guess you and us (DNA consciousness) will be bored in class together.
"Get dressed Gwen, you've got school today". A middle-aged man named Eddie Brock ordered as he knocked on the open door three times. She groaned and slowly got out of the comfy blankets.
In the kitchen, three other young alien children were running around. Phage (green little brother), Lasher (orange little brother), and Agony (purple little sister). The infant brother sleeper was already in a onesie.
They were all four short troublemakers. However, Lasher was a real picnic when it came to food. Gwen was dressed up and joined everyone for breakfast. Her favorite cereal: is Coco Pops.
The kids were going to elementary school and Gwen had her first year of high school at K.I.P.P High.
In S.I.L.K. Industries
"This is outrageous! You can't do this!" Professor O'Neil was furiously yelling at the owner of San Francisco's new philanthropist Cindy Moon. "You stole my thesis and now you are terminating my contract!" He yelled at the woman.
"Yes, but it wasn't your thesis. It was part of the company, meaning you had no ownership to begin with".
"Listen here, Moon. I don't care how rich you are, and I will expose you for the treacherous snake you are!"
"If I had a nickel for every time an employee said that. Listen, you were too naïve to know how the world works, and you didn't read the terms and conditions. You don't even know a fraction of how powerful I am, so your word is as worthless as the homeless. Security!"
After that was settled, Cindy opened a Zoom call to contact her secret weapons. "I'm glad you accepted my offer, I need you three to deal with a certain spider girl".
"What about the other, much bigger, freak protecting the city?" A bearded man with a country accent asked.
"That is already arranged, you just need to worry about Ghost Spider".
The whole mini-van ride was just the usual bad-singing voices and face-making contests to annoy at least one stranger whose car was next to them by the traffic lights.
Gwen flinched when she realized Eddie was driving to the kids' school first. This was new, but there is a reason why. The kids ran out in their human disguises, ready to start the first day back to school. Gwen felt a feeling of envy that her siblings still had their whole childhood ahead of them. Too young to learn or understand the misery of being a teenager. Whenever they said they wished to be older, Gwen would imagine injecting them with a fictional anti-aging serum.
The reason why the kids were dropped off first meant that Eddie wanted to talk to Gwen privately. "So, Gwennie, you ready for school?"
Just as she suspected, he was buttering her up for a serious parent-to-child talk. "I'm ready for the prison-that-pretends-to-look-like-paradise 'school'. Yes sir".
"Gwen, school is your ticket to freedom".
"Is it?" She frowned. Eddie gave a glance at the front mirror and then looked ahead at the road. She could tell that he was analyzing her so that he knew the right words.
"GeeZee, you are probably experiencing the troubles of becoming a woman. You've been through a lot, I don't know what exactly, but I just want you to that you're not alone—".
"Oh! We're here! I better go, start getting smarter", she laughed nervously before getting out of the van with her school equipment. As she walked out, she waved and then dashed to the school. She went in and avoided eye contact with ninth-grade Queen B, Melissa Carwick. Or more widely known as Mimi.
Her fake milk-white hair, purple eye contact, and green emerald outfits. Puke colors were a much better description from Gwen's perspective. The icy glare she received made her roll her eyes, and then walk to her locker. Melissa cackled softly, and then some student fell on her, causing her face to come in contact with the floor. Melissa's laughter grew louder.
Gwen sat up and turned to see the clumsy moron who tripped onto her. She observed who turned out to be a girl, in Bengali culture. Or she could be Latina, but her being of desi culture seemed more likely. She was wearing casual clothes, she had long hair done in a single low braid. Gwen noticed a bow tied at the back of her hair. They both stood up and before Gwen could ask for her name, the girl dashed past her in fear.
Venom was in the 'baby room', as he would call it because Sleeper owned it. He kept singing lullabies but Sleeper just made an emotionless face. Then the sound of his watch beeped. Sighing he pulled out a novel.
"This is a grown-up novel that talks about boring things, just words, and no pictures. If you don't want me to read it then I suggest you fall asleep right now".
Sleeper had fallen into a deep slumber halfway through Venom's mild threat. "Works every time", He whispered to himself. The only use for Daniella Steel's books was just to motivate Gwen and the kids to either sleep or go do a task.
Then, as he was in the secret lab, he went through the surveillance footage. Just as he suspected, another robbery. He used his touch screen desk to summon a robot drone to take care of Sleeper. Those were just the perks of being an alien who came to Earth with the proper technology. While also having mechanical experience. He used a secret entrance to head out to a neighborhood near the area. "Ah, time to deal with the A-holes who deserve a beating".
Leaping from building to building, he landed right before the getaway car. The men started screaming in fright. Using his strength, the Klyntarian just ripped off the root of the car. Three of the men tried to escape, but the driver wasn't so lucky as Venom picked him up. "I should eat you right now, but I don't think your brain is tasty enough, so your pancreas will have to do".
Then the SFPD pulled over. Venom extended his other arm to seize the other criminals. He smiled proudly. "Defenders of the city, I have thwarted yet another injustice! These bad guys are yours to imprison—"
Venom felt a punch at the side of his face, then crashed into a building window on the second floor. Standing up, he groaned, not at the unexpected attack but at the woman in the office screaming. He jumped out and landed back on the street. "Who just punched me? Whoever the dipshit is must show themselves!".
"As you wish freak!" A robotic man cackled in a Russian accent. "I have waited for this!" He called out as he appeared in a rhino-like mech armor suit.
Venom just tilted his head in confusion. "Why do you say that as if we have already met?"
"I should have known that you are not very bright, but Rhino will help with that!" The man then charged at him. Two missiles were launched out of his front legs. Venom dodged them, then leaped to a building, jumping straight onto the Rhino's back side. He tried ripping off the horn on the mech suit, while also riding it like he was in a rodeo. The suit started kicking and shaking to get Venom off its back.
"If this is what a Rodeo is like, then I know where to go for vacation, say, what would happen if I did this?"
Venom ripped off the back shell and pulled the entire seat out. He tossed the man into a police vehicle. "Oh yes I remember that guy as another nameless criminal—".
People screamed in terror as the mech was about to crash into a group of civilians. "How in Knull is this thing still moving? I took out the driver!".
The suit was becoming difficult to control until he found the power button. Pressing it, the mech froze before collapsing. Venom laughed triumphantly, he moved off and reporters came to the scene, taking pictures and asking questions. The police came and Venom leaped away. One of the officers, Chief Mulligan, just glared at the creature. "Did it kill anyone?" He asked a lieutenant.
"No sir, but he caused a few damages".
A reporter nearby was filming. "And yet again, criminal activity has been taken care of by one of the two vigilantes in the city, known as the Lethal Protector, and although little is known about the creature, we sure are grateful he is here".
The whole footage was recorded and played on a high flat screen in an office. Khalid Davinson was watching while sitting down. "Now, Eddie, why do you keep making that 'thing' look like a saint?" He asked his employee in charge of the segment. Eddie Brock just made a silent chuckle.
"Well isn't he the reason the crime rate dropped?"
Khalid hummed with thought. "Still, be careful when being in the action. It's not exactly friendly with the cops, knowing how it takes care of criminals".
"So I should just say whatever will make the SFPD happy?"
"You should be on the fence about this, don't take sides. Might make people assume some things about your liking to the freak".
Walking out of the office, a woman came out of nowhere. "Mr. Brock, I need you to fill in some reports for the new talk show-".
"Oh, sorry Beatrice, but I have to pick up my kids from school".
As he walked away, the woman glared. "My name's Bethany", she muttered.
Driving to Marin Horizon Elementary School, he wasn't surprised to notice the kids' teacher Mr. Small giving him a disdained look. Eddie just sighed. "First day of school and their teacher already wants to talk with me".
Walking in and seeing the kids act all innocent wasn't helping. "So, what did they do this time?"
"Straight to the point are we Mr. Brock. Don't worry, they didn't do anything wrong".
"Oh thank God! Wait…why did you want to talk with me?"
"They yelled at a sixth grader, assuming he was gay".
Eddie stared at the teacher in shock.
"If I may ask…are you in a homosexual relationship?"
"Excuse me?! That's none of your damn business".
"Mr. Brock, I am asking this question because they told him to come out to his parents". Mr. Small explained. "But now I have received a complaint from his mother".
Eddie silently muttered a curse. "I thought you said they didn't do anything wrong".
"They didn't. They had an open mind on this kind of topic, and there were rumors about it anyway. His mother was the only one who wasn't aware of his sexuality. That is why I asked what relationship you were in".
"Well, it's still none of your business". Eddie sneered as he stood up and didn't say anything to the kids during the whole car ride.
Gwen was swinging by when she saw a man barge into a convenience store. She sighed with irritation.
Pink: Ugh, do we have to deal with him? He does this crap every day!
Blue: Yes, we have to do this. We are Ghost Spider after all.
Swinging into the store she saw the store owner, Mrs. Chen, being annoyed with the Bodega Bandit, and a young desi girl that she tried talking to at school.
"Why are you stealing corn dogs?" Nilima (the desi girl from her school) asked in confusion.
"That's a good question", Ghost Spider stated as she leaned back on the door. The Bodega Bandit turned to her in surprise and then aimed his toy gun at her. "So you're willing to waste your money on toy guns but you won't use it on corn dogs?"
Nilima was in utter confusion. "The gun is fake?!"
Ghost Spider webbed him in a cocoon and walked to the Asian woman. "Can you call the cops for me? I don't feel like carrying him to the police station this time".
Then she turned to Nilima, the girl who tripped on her at school. She also tried to befriend Kevin and called her something in her native tongue.
"Who are you?" she asked, causing Ghost Spider to gasp dramatically. She then silently remarked on the word 'ouch'.
Then she ran out of the store and took off.
As she swung by the shortcut to her house, she noticed the same Bengali cultured girl taking the same route but turned to walk left of the path. To her dismay, she caught her being harassed.
Pink voice: Is this girl a criminal magnet today?
Blue voice: It's like bad people are drawn to her.
She went to her and pulled the man to her with her web string. Punching him in the nose. "Get lost dirtbag!" She snarled under her mask. Then she turned to Nilima, waiting for some praise.
"Are you following me?" She scowled.
Ghost Spider just deadpanned. "You're welcome". Then a ball of slime was shot by them. "What the—"
"GET THE SPIDER! NOW!" A talking humanoid insect yelled. Then a short individual with an axe (not to mention it had a red tail with a triangle shape tip and it had horns, in a ninja suit) jumped in front of them. Then a bulky Shark-Bear hybrid tried throwing a car at the two girls.
The insect flew down. Ghost Spider looked at Nilima who was frightened and weirded out by all this.
"Great, just great. Thanks for being a trouble magnet dude!" She glared.
