It was in the outer limits of the planet. Right now, a man in the lead flagship was laughing. He knew that this new scheme would work. He just knew it. His name, Dr. Ivo Robotnik, or Eggman.

Eggman is an obese, tall human with a small, bald head. He has a distinct pinkish nose and a bushy, mahogany-colored mustache. His eyes, which are very rarely seen, are colored blue. His torso is shaped similarly to that of an egg, hence the nickname.

For attire, he retains his glasses and gloves but incorporates goggles known as the "egg goggles", which sit on his forehead and are rarely used. He dons a red coat adorned with two golden buttons on each side of the chest, each accompanied by white straps running to additional identical buttons on the back. The coat features silver linings down the back, arms, and front, yellow cuffs, and two extensions on the front with large silver buttons. Additionally, Eggman wears black pants with matching boots, which have circular plates on both sides of the ankles and three square ones extending up the shin.

"OH HOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO! Hm?!"

Eggman stopped laughing, and looked on the front board of his ship. There, standing right in front of a smoking crater, was none other, than Sonic, the Hedgehog.

Sonic is an anthropomorphic hedgehog with blue fur that covers most of his body, and peach skin that covers his arms, muzzle, insides of his ears and front torso. He has small, triangular ears on top of his head, six long quills on the back of his head, two spines protruding from his back behind his shoulders, and a short tail. For attire, he wears red shoes and white gloves.

Turrets then appeared on the deck, and some robots appeared.

"FIRE!" yelled Eggman.

All machines fired, and Sonic then raced forward, bashing each robot to bits, and using his speed to his advantage. Sonic soon saw Eggman arrive on the scene with a mech, and tried to grab him. Sonic dodged, making some faces, taunting, and laughing. However, he managed to get caught, and Eggman smirked, until he saw Sonic's confident smile.

Closing his eyes, Sonic summoned seven gems.

Eggman, in a panic, then covered Sonic up, only for both hands to explode, and reveal Sonic, now gold with his quills standing up.

Eggman then detached the cockpit, and flew off, with Sonic flying through, and smashing through the door, and explosions happening all over the ship.

Soon, Sonic had destroyed all but one ship, and rammed right through the barrier, with Eggman on his knees, saying, "S-S-SONIC! P-P-P-PLEASE! GO EASY ON ME! I'LL TURN OVER A NEW LEAF! PLEASE!"

"You really think I'm gonna fall for that Eggman?" asked Sonic, tauntingly, "I know the moment you feel this is all cool, you're gonna make a new scheme. At least I stopped it before you could do anything."

Eggman then pressed a button, and energy rings appeared, trapping Sonic in place. The machine then zapped Sonic out of his Super Form, and the Chaos Emeralds glowed brightly. Sonic saw this, as Eggman said, "Now Sonic, you have been a throne in my side for years, so, I decided to give you a retirement gift. I'm sending you to the one place you can not do ME any harm to my plans."

"And where's that Eggman?" asked Sonic.

Eggman smirked, as he said one word: "Hell."

Sonic's eyes went wide, as a portal was opened, and Sonic, fighting hard against the shocking, focused his thoughts, yelling, "CHAOS CONTROL!"

In a flash, the portal swallowed Sonic up, and Eggman said, "Sayonara, Sonic the Hedgehog! Now, to use the... wait, where are the Chaos Emeralds!?"

Eggman looked all over, but could detect some Chaos Energy from a Chaos Control, which meant, Sonic managed to use the emeralds before he was swallowed by the portal.

"I HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!"
