The Next Day, 7:30 AM- Bullhead Transport to Beacon Academy
Crimson took in a breath of fresh air as a cool breeze made his long hair fly behind him. He couldn't help but smile at how amazing he felt; he was about to head to the same place his family had gone for ages to become Huntsmen andHuntresses. It was an amazing feeling being in the same position his family had before him, and while he wouldn't admit it… he was nervous. Would he make any friends? What kind ofschool is Beacon anyway? He knew it taught you how to fight Grimm, but that's about all he knew. What if he got looked at like he's some sort of freak?! Crimson shook his head at this and slapped both of his cheeks to wake himself was overthinking things and that would bite him if he kept it up. Crimson glanced at his scroll before realizing it was 7: 48 and grinned.
Crimson: "Well, time to get moving! Don't wanna miss my flight."
Crimson slung his packed duffle bag over his shoulder before taking off at high speed towards the Bullhead waiting for Beacon Students and boarded it just before the departure time. Looking around, Crimson was a bit startled at how many people were here just to go to Beacon. People from all walks of life were here to become Huntsmen and Huntresses, each of them carrying amazing weapons that were probably handcrafted in some starter school like Signal.
It didn't matter though, Crimson knew he'd be fine despite the butterflies in his stomach.
Crimson: "Man, this is nuts! Nothing I can't handle though-"
Before he could finish, Crimson was shoved to ground by a blonde kid in armor who looked close to vomiting all over the place.
Crimson: "Hey man! Watch it!"
The blonde boy simply nodded in apology as he headed for a nearby trashcan and began vomiting into it.
?: "Whoa, vomit boy was in a real hurry huh? You okay?"
Crimson looked up at a blonde girl with violet eyes and a confident grin who was offering her hand to him so she could help him up, which Crimson accepted with a nervous smile.
Crimson: "Yeah, No kidding. And don't worry I'm fine, thanks for your concern."
Crimson (Internal Dialogue): 'She reminds me a bit of Lia. Let's hope she's just as friendly.'
?: No problem! My name's Yang by the way! Yang Xiao Long! What's your name there, plaid shirt?"
Yang was of course pointing to the shirt Crimson had tied around his waist in memory of his late-grandfather when she asked.
Crimson: "Crimson Bloodedge. Nice to meet you Yang."
Crimson shook her hand and could already tell she's strong by her grip alone. Of course he was no slouch himself in pure strength, which the blonde huntress took notice of.
Yang: "Whoa. You've got a serious grip! Sparring with you is gonna be fun later, I can just feel it!"
Crimson (Internal Dialogue): 'Yep. She's definitely like Lia.'
Crimson grinned happily and nodded in agreement, not realizing a shorter girl with dark red hair and a red hood walked up to the two of them until she tapped Yang on the shoulder.
?: "Yang, are you done staring into that random guy's eyes? We're almost to Beacon!"
Yang quickly stopped staring and covered the girl's mouth to Crimson's confusion.
Yang: "Ruby~! Haha, Hey little sister! This is Crimson! He's going to school with us!"
Ruby moved her sister's hand from her mouth and looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
Ruby: "I already knew that Yang, I overheard you guys talking, and I mean... he's here after all, right?"
Yang rubbed the back of her head sheepishly as Crimson looked between the two of them with slight confusion.
Crimson: "Wait, wait, wait, wait. You two are related? You don't really look it if you don't mind my saying so.
Yang: "Oh that? We have the same dad but different moms is all. It's kind of a long story."
Crimson: "Well, I'm down to listen if you're willing to tell-"
Ruby: "Guys! We're here! Look!"
Crimson and Yang walk over to the window Ruby was looking out of.
Crimson: "Whoooa..."
Crimson (Internal Dialogue): 'Finally... I can give myself a new start...'
Crimson's thoughts raced, thinking of all he'd been through up until this point; training with his mother and grandfather, the birth of his little sister, the loss of his father's side of the family, his grandfather's death, his life with the thieves... All he'd been through, all that pain, hardship and loss
had led him to Beacon where he can finally do something good for the people of Vale.
Opening his eyes, he found himself standing alone on the bullhead as Yang yelled out to him.
Yang: "Hey Crimson, Come on! We're here!"
He looked over at the door which people were now funneling out of and ran outside.
