Peter regaining more and more of his strength used his wrist to shoot out a web to pull Connors right at him so he could help him get out of the lab. Connors as they were passing by the door then smashed an alarm causing alarm sirens to go off. Security came and then pointed their weapons at Peter; telling him to put Doctor Connors down while seeing that he is Spider-Man.
"Put your weapons down... He is helping me... Doctor Octavius has lost it..." Connors told him as the door was then thrown off its hinges as Octavius came out trying to nurse his shot leg.
"Get them you imbeciles; Spider-Man has my work in his bloodstream and I aim to get it back... Octavius snapped as the security was completely lost and didn't know who to listen to. Peter however webbed him and Connors up onto the ceiling and began crawling away. Octavius becoming more frustrated starting using his tentacles to throw the security out of his way causing them to fire at him.
"I don't have time for this..." Octavius snapped sweeping them all out of the way as they came as Connors had Peter go into a lab.
Connors then went to a laptop and started logging in before Octavius came in and used one of his tentacles to crush the laptop. "I know what you were trying to do Connors... Hack into my harness and turn off my arms..." Octavius snapped furiously at Connors grabbing him with one tentacle before Peter was swatted away by another tentacle. "I will deal with you in a second... But first Connors; if you want to side with him... Maybe you can become like him..." Octavius said going to a locked containment unit that he ripped open with a tentacle. He grabbed some sort of injection device and then inserted several vials into it.
"You were especially interested in experimenting with lizards with our research Curt... Hoping one day that you could grow yourself a new arm... Several specimens with different effects and studies showed too unpredictable for testing in humans... Let's see what happens when we mix them all together..." Octavius told Connors as he then injected the device into Connors' neck with him screaming in pain.
Peter then grew angry with Octavius but found the lighting to the facility going on and off to their confusion. However Peter took the distraction to web Connors away and then went in to start punching at Octavius' face with his dodging the tentacles with his strength returning and his healing factor coming in. "Did you come up with a new to go along with your arms? How about Octopus Man? Four Arms if you think that you could survive a lawsuit with Ben 10?" Peter asked as Octavius began smashing some machinery.
"Such power wasted on a clown... If I had the power that you possess I would be superior in every way..." Octavius ranted as his frustration at what was going on was causing the mental link in his inhibitor chip to short circuit with it being a prototype. It ended up frying out and Octavius then fell into a coma.
"We should get him to a hospital... Hopefully after some therapy... He won't be as angry or willing to experiment on people..." Peter told Connors who nodded.
"You're secret is safe with me. I am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt that you breaking in wasn't your idea as you claim..." Connors said as Peter looked grateful. "But I am wondering... What happened with the power?" Connors ended up asking as Peter thought that it was weird as well.
At little earlier on a lower level there was an area of the facility where most of the power went to; along with keeping a tank filled with test subject electric eels that was experimented on with the Neogenic Recombinator; producing enough power to act as back up if the need arise with the machinery connected to the tank. An engineer was reading a newspaper talking about Spider-Man and scoffing.
"Spider-Man... Doesn't know what opportunities he's wasting... A cheap suit but the things he could do and he thought that being a street performer was the way to go? I would have found a manager and an agent to get me on TV, try professional wrestling or even use the fame to get sponsorship deals... If I had powers; I would be able to show what a superhero can actually do to get into the celeb lifestyle..." the man then said as the foreman then shouted out to him.
"Dillon! Get here!" the foreman said to the man Max Dillon who came over and then pointed up to a circuit box up on the wall. Dillon grunts as he gets a ladder and then goes up to the circuit box. He was about to turn it off before looking at it when the alarm went off.
This distracted Dillon as he was with his tools and screamed as the malfunctioned box then let out an electrical attack to his face. He then fell over with the ladder and ended up landing in the tank of the electric eels. He screamed much harder as he ended up shocked by the polluted water by the eels who came to shock him himself.
Dillon then pulled himself up as the foreman then came to check up on him but Dillon then let out an electrical to everyone's shock that ended up affecting the electricity in the building. Weirded out by this Dillon then ran out with everyone else; Dillon thinking that he should think over this at his home.
Later Peter was at home in his civilian clothes as the news report showed the footage of Spider-Man taking Octavius' body to the paramedics who arrived and then swung past; Connors giving a statement to the police about how Doctor Octavius had kidnapped Spider-Man and didn't take it well when Connors tried to help him escape. The report saying that social media had already began nicknaming Doctor Octavius: 'Doctor Octopus'.
"Good name but a bit of a mouthful... Should use Doc-Ock..." Peter muttered as he felt his phone going off and it was Eddie. "I wonder what he wants to talk about..." Peter then muttered to himself sarcastically.
"See the news... It happened at the Techtronics place where we went to... If only I was allowed to be outside and I could have been there to break the story myself... I mean it; anything involving this guy and it's instant top headline and front page story... Now a guy with metal arms... It's crazy out there and now people will be thinking more like the silly comics..." Eddie was saying jealousy in his voice as Peter just groaned.
"Come on now Eddie... Let people have their fun and people know that life is still real life... At most it's going to be like those Nolan Batman movies or the Batman or any other Batman stuff that focuses on realism.. No way is there going to be like monster men out there..." Peter then retorted to the phone.
That night Connors was in his bathroom looking at the reflection in the mirror. Clad in his pyjama bottoms, he looked over himself and then noticed something at his arm stub. It looked like it was growing more. Plus he ended up finding at his neck; what looked like a dark green scale forming. "Curt! Billy is put to bed and you should be going as well after the day you had!" his wife called out banging the bathroom door.
"Coming Martha..." Connors said grabbing his pyjama top to put it back on hoping that what he found was nothing...
You know in all of the Spidey reboot stories I have tried all of my time on the website; believe me I have tried plenty... I never got around to using the Lizard in any of them... Huh... Well here I manage to end up having the origins of Doc Ock, Lizard and Electro happening at once.
