Soon enough Jadis, Vanellope and Ingrid had settled down enough that it was about time Jadis could see Jack, and the other Guardians, again. Vanellope giggled as she somehow managed to create some snowflakes.
"Oh, very nice work, my dear!" Ingrid smiled as she saw that.
North had gone to his workshop and called out The Guardians to come over and to definitely make sure that Jack would come over and not just Sandy the Sandman, E. Aster Bunnymund, and of course, Trixie Hollows from a place called Halloween Town. Vanellope giggled. Ingrid smiled as she knelt down next to Vanellope and waved her hands to make her own snowflakes to show the young one. Vanellope gasped and tried to copy them. Ingrid smiled, watching Vanellope closely but not too closely of course. Vanellope focused intently.
"You can do it, sweetie," Ingrid said softly and encouragingly. "Just feel it deep within your core."
Vanellope concentrated and then waved her hands to make some. Ingrid watched Vanellope with a small smile, enjoying this time together so far. Vanellope clapped her hands when she managed to make one more snowflake.
"Good job!" Ingrid beamed warmly at that.
Vanellope smiled to that.
"Mama's so proud of her little Snow Princess." Ingrid reassured Vanellope.
Vanellope smiled sweetly to her mother and cooed at her. Ingrid smiled back as she hunched down and held out her arms to Vanellope. Vanellope reached back for Ingrid. Ingrid smiled as she let Vanellope do that and held out her hands for Vanellope to hold onto if needed. Vanellope did the grabby hands motion, wordlessly conveying she wanted picked up.
"Up?" Ingrid asked Vanellope with a small smile. "Does Baby want uppy?"
Vanellope made the motions again with a coo. Ingrid soon came closer and held onto Vanellope and began to lift her up in the air, giggling warmly while doing so. Vanellope giggled to that squealing happily.
"You're my pretty little princess and no one will ever take you away from me, I promise~" Ingrid warmly told Vanellope.
Vanellope smiled and cooed happily. Ingrid smiled back as she nuzzled noses with Vanellope in a warm way. Vanellope giggled and cooed happily. Ingrid smiled warmly as she carried Vanellope with very much care. Vanellope cuddled up to her new mother.
"You smell so sweet~" Ingrid smiled down at Vanellope. "I hope you like ice cream too~"
Vanellope looked a little curious.
"Oh, you never heard of ice cream, have you, my dear?" Ingrid replied innocently even if Vanellope couldn't verbally respond.
Vanellope looked curious.
"It's very wonderful, honey," Ingrid told Vanellope. "You're going to love it."
Vanellope giggled.
"It's good and good for you~" Ingrid told Vanellope tenderly.
Vanellope giggled to that.
Jadis was in a more casual dress compared to her regal attire, not wanting to be too formal for this meeting.
"Jack and the others will be here soon, are you ready?" North asked as he came to check on Jadis before taking a long look at her in her dress that looked very stunning even if it was only casual.
"I'm a little nervous." Jadis admitted, her pale cheeks slightly pinking in a blush as she saw his looking.
"Erm, well, you have nothing to worry about," North promised her warmly. "Also, Manny sends his regards and is sorry that young Jack had to be taken like he was, but you know, being a Guardian is never easy."
Jadis gave a small nod.
"Can I get you anything while I'm up at least?" North offered. "Maybe a seat? Some more hot chocolate? Some treats?"
"A hug?" Jadis suggested quietly.
"Hugs are good." North nodded and agreed as he came to share a hug with Jadis.
Jadis closed her eyes as she hugged North back.
"There, there, Jadis, it's going to be okay~" North promised while hugging her warmly and gently patting her on the back.
Jadis gave him a small smile. North smiled back as Bernard came by.
"They're on the way." Bernard informed Jadis and North.
"Thank you, Bernard." Jadis told the head male elf.
"Of course." Bernard nodded.
"Bernard works so hard around here." North then told Jadis.
"It shows how worthy he is of his post, thank you for your hard work." Jadis told him and thanked him, quite regally but not cold like she would have done before she got some of her memories back thanks to the stories told.
"It's a living." Bernard replied as he went to see some other elves.
North nodded at that while smiling warmly at Jadis, just happy to have her back and on his side again. Jadis gave a small smile.
"This is the greatest gift of all and it's not even Christmas." North told Jadis warmly.
Jadis blushed just a tinge to that.
"I haven't forgotten our mistletoe tradition~" North then whispered with a small smirk.
Jadis blushed a bit more to that.
"I blame Cupid," Bernard remarked which made one of the reindeer who shared the name with the God of Love grunt in response. "Not YOU." he then scoffed.
North smirked a little at that. Jadis hid an amused smirk.
"Well, Cupid does his work very well, even if it didn't end well for those Montague and Capulet kids." North said to Bernard.
"I know that all too well," Bernard admitted. "At least they're together in another plain of existence."
Jadis hummed a little to that.
"Well, at least they seem to be having fun." North said, watching Ingrid and Vanellope.
Jadis gave a small smile. "I am glad my friend has someone to love and be loved by." she said quietly.
"Yes, it'll be very nice for her, especially with your support and company," North agreed. "I often wonder what it would be like to have a normal life though with a wife and family and a run-of-the-mill job rather than being Santa Claus." he then added.
"Well, you bring much joy and wonder to children all over the worlds." Jadis told him quietly.
"Their joy is what keeps me going," North admitted. "Christmas spirit is very important even if some folks decide to outgrow it or believing in me, but there are still millions of other children in the world who still do."
"I do know there are adults who do too." Jadis told him.
"Not as many, but it's nice to see adults who still believe." North agreed.
Jadis gave a small smile. North smiled back until he saw the arrival of something new to the North Pole. Suddenly, tiny teeth seemed to come over to their feet.
"Baby Teeth~" Jadis had to smile to that.
Ingrid smiled warmly at Vanellope before looking over as the other Guardians began to show up.
"I think I know where they came from." North smirked a bit.
"Sorry we're running a little late." Toothiana said as she made it over with her cute little smile.
Vanellope looked over.
"You're the first one here." Jadis told Toothiana and carefully reached down to pick up the Baby Teeth.
A small golden plane was making its way to the room. Bernard glanced over as the golden plane made its way over. When it came in it was revealed to be the Sandman. Ingrid carried Vanellope and decided to come by to see Toothiana up close.
"Oh, good, everyone else is coming too," Toothiana smiled, letting Jadis pick up the baby teeth who smiled all around. "Hi, there!" she then greeted everyone else, cooing at the beautiful baby girl.
"Hello, sweetie~" Toothiana said to Vanellope. "I'm the Tooth Fairy, though I don't need to see you yet, I just want you to know that when you grow your own teeth that you should brush and floss as often as possible."
"I'll be sure the remind her." Ingrid reassured Toothiana.
Vanellope giggled to that. She then waved her hand, showing this new nice lady her snowflake 'trick'.
"Ooh, is that a snowflake?" Toothiana asked.
"It sure is~" Ingrid said with a very proud, maternal smile.
Vanellope giggled to that.
"What a pretty smile~" Toothiana beamed warmly.
"Yes, she's going to be a very beautiful girl and woman someday." Ingrid added in reassurance.
Vanellope reached for the feathers of Toothiana, luckily not planning on pulling at them.
"Would you like to feel my feathers, sweetie?" Toothiana asked Vanellope.
"Don't tug or pull, Vanilla Bean." Ingrid advised Vanellope if that was what she wanted to do.
Vanellope cooed to Toothiana.
"You're so sweet, go ahead~" Toothiana told Vanellope with a warm smile as her feathers swayed.
Ingrid also smiled at how cute this was going to be. Vanellope felt Toothiana's feathers and giggled as they tickled.
"Yes, yes, I know that feels nice~" Toothiana said to Vanellope softly.
Ingrid smiled as they watched that. Vanellope giggled sweetly. Toothiana giggled, finding Vanellope's giggle to be contagious. Vanellope smiled at Toothiana. Ingrid smiled warmly at both Toothiana and Vanellope. Toothiana giggled as she seemed to enjoy Vanellope's company the most.
"Sandy! Glad you could make it." North chuckled and beamed at The Sandman.
Sandy smiled and then made a bunch of symbols, basically saying he wondered what was going on, but then noticed Jadis and looked shocked in a good way though.
"Sandy, you might briefly remember Jadis." North began to say.
Sandy nodded. He then looked to North and with the symbols asked if North himself found her.
"It's a very long story we'll all talk about later." North reassured Sandy.
Sandy nodded to that. He then gave a smile to Jadis.
The Baby Teeth giggled and chittered at Jadis.
Jadis smiled a bit. "It's nice to meet you~" she said softly.
Trixie soon arrived with her "lucky black cat" before looking over.
"Trixie, Sandy, Tooth..." North said, making a quick headcount. "Still need two more."
Sandy came over to Trixie and smiled to her, asking how she was doing.
"Oh, same old, same old," Trixie said to Sandy with a small smile back before glaring. "Though Jinksy seemed interested in a few blind mice that ended up in Halloween Town."
Jinx the Cat hiccupped and seemed to have a tail drooping from his lip before he slurped it up and grinned sheepishly. Sandy wagged his finger a little at Jinx, but couldn't be too upset, he was a cat after all and most cats chased and hunted mice.
"Sometimes I wonder about him." Trixie sighed and lamented about her cat before she let him down on the ground so he could walk around and get some exercise.
A hole opened up in the ground and Bunnymund jumped out of the hole dragging a pale boy with him. "I don't care if you were with your girlfriend, North called for us." he said to the boy in his grasp.
Jadis looked wide-eyed. North looked at Jadis with a small smile, hoping that was a positive reaction.
"You could've at least given us a few more minutes." The boy said, rolling his eyes slightly.
"Not a chance, knowing you and the sheila we would've been waiting for hours," Bunnymund replied. He then deposited Jack in front of North and Jadis. "One ice show pony for you." he said.
Jadis' eyes were only for Jack, luckily not dropping the Baby Teeth, but her breath caught as she looked at him.
"Jadis... You may remember... Jack Frost." North began to say.
"Uh, hi?" Jack responded, not sure what else to say or do as he locked eyes with Jadis.
Sandy then looked over at the small group around North and Jadis.
Jadis carefully moved her hands to allow the Baby Teeth to fly off on their own as she approached Jack, as if seeing something to be adored. "Jack..." she breathed.
"...Mama?" Jack muttered in response.
"Did he just call her Mama?" Trixie asked because she had no idea what was going on exactly.
"She doesn't know?" Ingrid asked North.
"Trixie is a bit new compared to the others." North explained.
Sandy nodded to that. Bunnymund watched the scene carefully, he might not show it or always admit it but he did have a soft spot for Jack once they made up. Plus they were Brothers at Arms for having fought Pitch.
"Oh, my Jack~" Jadis breathed and gently placed her hands on his cheeks to cradle his face.
Jack sniffled before he hugged her right away, suddenly feeling emotional himself.
"Well, this is getting nice." Trixie admitted with a small smile.
Sandy smiled and made a heart shape form above his head. Jadis wrapped her arms around her son and drew him closer in the hug.
"Even Sandy is happy about this." Trixie remarked.
Jinx just stared at the scene before yawning and deciding to curl up into a ball to sleep this off. Jack hugged Jadis back, feeling emotional, but tried not to show it as much as his estranged mother did. Sandy nodded.
"I never stopped looking, even when I was made to not know you," Jadis whispered. She then smiled to Ingrid. "And Ingrid looked for you for me too." she assured.
"We really tried, sweetheart," Ingrid added tenderly as she came by. "Once I was awake and aware of what was going on around me, I know I had to change Storybrooke somehow to get the happy ending I'd been longing for, even more than The Evil Queen Regina who cast The Dark Curse to get back at Princess Snow White."
"The long wait had really hurt worse than when I meet kids who can't see me." Jack admitted tenderly.
Jadis gently smoothed his hair a little with a gentle hand.
"I'm not crying, I, uh, just have allergies." Jack then said to the others.
"Sure ya do." Bunnymund smirked a bit.
"Besides even adults cry, Jack." Jadis soothed her son.
"It's okay, buddy," Trixie smirked warmly. "I feel the same way whenever I hear about people making gingerbread houses for North's holiday and not mine because they look so amazing."
"As long as they're not made by a Blind Witch." Ingrid advised.
"I'm okay, really." Jack said with a small smile.
"We're all going to be okay now." North then reassured both him and Jadis.
"You're so lucky to be here for this very moment, little one, I just don't know if you'll even remember it." Ingrid said to Vanellope softly.
Jadis smiled to North. Vanellope looked up at Toothiana and merely smiled.
"Can we go inside now?" Trixie soon asked. "Some of us might not let the cold bother us anyway, but some of us don't believe in the same thing."
"Come on, let's get inside and talk." North then suggested off Trixie's immature impatience.
Ingrid smiled as Vanellope and Toothiana seemed to share a special bond.
"She's such a little sweetheart~" Toothiana smiled as she gently tickled under Vanellope's chin.
Jadis unwrapped Jack from the hug, but slipped her arm through his so she wasn't fully letting him go, and it showed she respected he wasn't a child anymore and holding his hand. Vanellope giggled.
Jack rubbed his arm bashfully, but smirked warmly. "It's okay." he then reassured Jadis.
Jadis smiled to her son. Jack smiled back on the way.
Ingrid began to bring Vanellope inside as Toothiana wasn't too far behind them while Trixie eagerly came inside and Jinx followed her. Sandy made a small cloud to float him along. Bunnymund followed.
Soon, everyone came to sit down at a long table so that they could talk this over while also eating since this was a special occasion for them. Trixie was getting Jinx settled before giving him his favorite dish that involved fish. Sandy was smiling a bit as this was quite nice.
"So my father is Santa Claus and my mother is The White Witch of Narnia..." Jack soon began to recap.
"We're not calling her that anymore." Ingrid advised Jack about Jadis' name back in Narnia which were more unpleasant times.
Jadis looked a little unhappy at the mention of her title from Narnia.
"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean it like that." Jack said to her softly.
"It's alright, Jack," Jadis assured him softly. "It's just I became evil under that title." she told him softly.
"This is just a lot to think about, though it's been a lot for everyone." Jack nodded.
Jadis nodded to that.
"I guess we should just try to live in the now." Jack then said.
"I think that might be best." Ingrid said as she made sure that Vanellope was secure.
Jadis smiled a bit to that and nodded.
"Let's just worry about the feast for now and we'll talk about this." North suggested to everyone.
"Thinking with his stomach again, I see." Jack whispered playfully to Vanellope as she was placed in a highchair that almost looked like a princess throne.
Jadis gave a small nod to that. Vanellope giggled to that and clapped her hands. Jack smirked a bit while North rolled his eyes in response.
"No corrupting the little ankle biter." Bunnymund advised Jack.
"I'm just trying to be honest~" Jack replied.
"Maybe save that for Pinocchio." North suggested with a smirk.
"Funny you should mention him." Ingrid muttered at that name.
Jadis glanced at Ingrid for that.
"I haven't met him personally, but I've seen Pinocchio in the town I was in before I found you again." Ingrid explained to Jadis.
"Oh." Jadis hummed to that.
"Don't worry about it, alright?" Ingrid said with a small smile.
Jadis gave her friend a small smile. Ingrid smiled back.
"There's so much to discuss, I'm not sure where we could start." North said to the others.
"Maybe we should eat first, yeah, give you time to put together your thoughts." Bunnymund suggested.
"Then let's get some meat on all of your bones!" North suggested with a boisterous laugh.
"Uh, yeah, what he said," Trixie agreed with a small smirk. "Though of course, maybe a plate of carrots for Bunnymund over here."
Jadis smiled to North.
"Watch it." Bunnymund playfully glared at Trixie.
Trixie just stuck her tongue out in response.
"Now then, everyone, let us feast." North suggested as everyone was given their own food.
And so, everyone began to eat up during their Guardians' meeting. Storybrooke began to attempt to go back to normal after the banishment of Mr. Gold and the news was spread by both Ben and Belle along with another surprise and that was the fact that Neal was actually alive all this time and was hiding to make Zelena think she won her round in the battle for the Fairy Tale town. John Darling decided to become a new teacher in the high school and was teaching about the history of magic with the help of Tinkerbell.
Lonnie had settled back home and was happily reunited with her little sister Sha-Ron and big brother Chūjí especially their parents. Even her uncles Yao, Ling, and Chien Po were there and Yao's daughter, Yi-Min. Today was going to be a historical day for the family too as Lonnie went to fulfill the destiny given to her since she wasn't in Storybrooke anymore and it was time for her to live the story she was meant to live.
"So, Fa Mulan: Hero and Warrior of Northern Wei who defeated Shan Yu and her husband, Li Shang, and their family," Lord Qin greeted. "A jewel in my crown to present a bride for my son as a reward."
"Yes, Your Majesty," Lonnie said, sighing wearily as she tried not to cry since she had to leave behind her best friends, especially Jay and Elwin behind since this was what was meant to happen. "I wish to be the bride for your son to restore unity between our kingdoms after Mulan's defeat of Shan Yu when infiltrating the Shang army for the sake of her father before her and I accept my destiny to be your son's princess bride."
"The Golden Dragon of Unity smiles upon you today," Lord Qin remarked. "And in view of the tragedy, I will accept your offer. You will make a fine bride for my eldest son, Prince Jeeki."
"Yes... For honor and tradition... On behalf of my family and legacy." Lonnie nodded as she bowed to him.
Two guards soon stepped aside to reveal the prince as he seemed to be playing with a finger trap, and smiled nervously once he was caught.
"This is her?" Prince Jeeki asked as he saw Mulan. "She's so old!"
Mulan's friends snickered at that a little while she flashed them a look for that, looking more serious than stern than Shang when he was training them for against Shan Yu.
"No, this isn't her, my son," Lord Qin told his son and patted Lonnie on the head. "This is your new bride... Lonnie." he then introduced the teenage girl who stepped forward.
Lonnie winced and looked very sick to her stomach right now.
"Ohh." Prince Jeeki smiled.
Meanwhile, everyone came to meet outside while Mulan and Lonnie were discussing the final terms inside.
"I don't feel right about letting Lonnie marry that prince," Yao said to the others. "She might have disappeared from us for a while because of a weird time warp that entered our kingdom as well as Princess Aurora's, but... is this the right thing to do?"
"It's Lonnie's mission and it's up to her and she seems to want to go through with it," Chein Po advised. "We should still be there for her."
"But Lonnie was gonna train me to be just like her and Mom," Sha-Ron pouted as she held onto a staff she had. "Lonnie's the best big warrior sister ever."
"Hey, it's okay, kiddo, you still have us." Li'l Shang said as he put his arm around Yi-Min's shoulder.
"Don't touch me." Yi-Min glowered, sounding a lot like her father on a bad day.
"It's not the same." Sha-Ron pouted at them as she stepped away.
The others looked a little soft and sad for little Sha-Ron since she was going to miss Lonnie most of all.
Lonnie sighed to herself as she was getting ready to be married to the prince of this kingdom.
"You don't have to do this, young warrior," Mulan said to her daughter. "We can find some other way, like when The Emperor's daughters were going to marry another kingdom's sons until your uncles stepped in."
"I know, Mom, but... I have to do this..." Lonnie said softly and wearily. 'To properly move on from Elwin who would probably be a lot happier with The Guardians and his real family instead of me.' she then added in her head about her personal motivation for doing this.
A door was then opened and the crowd gasped once they saw her as she came to go through with this, and where it was to a prince who had to of his fingers stuck together in a Chinese paper trap.
Lord Qin smiled towards Lonnie as he held two glasses and made an announcement. "My people, the Golden Dragon of Unity, who guides us in all we do, today, sanctifies a union that will become a blessing for all of Qui Gong."
The crowd cheered as Lonnie took one glass and Prince Jeeki couldn't take his because his fingers were trapped, but soon took hold of it with a nervous smile to his father. Lonnie seemed to roll her eyes at that and tried to hide it while going through with this.
"With the tying of this sash, we shall unite, not only two lives, but two kingdoms." Lord Qin said as he tied a sash between Lonnie and his son.
Soon, the celebration carried on and the two were married. Lonnie asked to be alone in a room before going to join everyone for the feast and took that time to open gifts from her friends in Storybrooke. She saw many interesting and enticing options until she saw the one from Elwin which caught her attention and decided to unwrap that one first. She soon saw a silver hairpin inside that was shaped like a dragon wearing a pretty magnolia flower on it and it seemed to be chilled with a cloud of snow falling over it to keep it nice and cold without melting. The shape was that of a dragon who seemed to wear the flower as a hair decoration. She then blinked and felt her heart sink as she glanced into the distance with tears in her eyes since she and Elwin were now separated and there was nothing that could be done about it sadly.
MEANWHILE IN NEW YORK CITY...
A blonde woman was shown to be getting ready for her job at the aquarium. She was feeding the fish she was assigned to take care of. "It's all I got. If you're not happy about it, try eating each other." she then told them rather snidely.
"I hear cannibalism is frowned upon in the aquatic world," A familiar voice said before showing it was none other than Mr. Gold after he had been banished away from Storybrooke. "Or maybe you could tell me differently."
"So, this is what a man who always wins looks like." The woman scoffed.
"I assure you, Ursula, my situation is only temporary." Rumple clarified.
"Really? How you gonna fix that, play the lotto?" Ursula deadpanned.
"I'd like to tell you a story," Rumple then said. "It's about heroes and villains, where the villains always lose."
"Seems like someone's changed his tune." Ursula rolled her eyes.
"I've learned the rules do apply to me, but also there's someone who can change those rules." Rumple explained.
"Who?" Ursula demanded.
"For now, let's call him 'The Author'." Rumple suggested.
"Pretentious. I hate him already." Ursula scoffed.
"Then let's go see him. Tell him what we think," Rumple replied. "Unless you prefer life as a fish-food dispenser."
Ursula gave him a long look before responding again. "But if you're coming to me for help, I can assume it won't be easy. Who's standing in our way?" she then responded.
"The usual people... The heroes. Let's get your things," Rumple told Ursula. "We've two more stops to make."
"All right, let me just call my girls." The woman said as she brought out her cell phone and made a call.
MEANWHILE...
At a pirate-themed restaurant, a girl with her hair worn in braids was shown to be working, carrying a tray of food after dropping off some food to one customer.
"Hey! I wanted the fried clams!" The customer complained.
"And I wanted a pony~" The girl replied sweetly before shouting. "LIFE AIN'T FAIR!"
The customer flinched, looking afraid of that.
The girl then grumbled as she went to bring other people their food while clearing the table of dirty dishes to bring to the kitchen. Once she got there, she put the dishes in the sink and sat down on a turned over mop bucket and buried her face in her hands. She then heard her cell phone ringing and took it out to see her mother was calling and then answered the call. "Yeah? ...Okay. ...Uh-huh. ...I dunno. ...Okay, I'll tell her. See you there," she then said before hanging up and then texted a certain other number. 'Where you at?'
'Taking out the trash, what is it?'
'Mom wants us back home, that includes you.'
'She's not even my mother.'
'IDC, if I gotta go, you gotta go.'
'Did she say what it's for?'
'Just that some guy named Mr. Gold is gonna take care of us from now on. Now hurry up!'
There was a delay in the text before bubbles appeared on the screen and soon there was a thumb's up followed by "OMW".
"You better be..." The braided girl grumbled. "You just thank your lucky stars you got taken in when you had nothing else."
The other girl then pocketed her phone and shut the dumpster doors shut, nearly gagging after putting away a couple of heavy bags. The girl had platinum blonde hair with purple tips as she turned her head, looking surprised at the mention of Mr. Gold as she went to head back inside to meet Uma as discussed on the phone.
END OF PART 6...
