Found and lost-Chapter 6-Part A

The day after the shipwreck. On a beach located in the south of the island.

Furina placed her hand before her eyes. The sun is dazzling and warm... Very warm. She sighed before stretching. She then took a look at her watch, which was attached to her left wrist.

"It is almost 10 a.m."

The raft fleet arrived on the island a few hours after the terrible shipwreck that occurred in the early evening. Although they managed to achieve their goals without encountering any new problems, the constant fear of the sea monster's return had kept the survivors in a constant state of fear.

However, the monster did not reappear and the rafts managed to get to the island in the middle of the night.

As soon as they had set foot on the ground, joy gained the survivors who were extremely exhausted both physically and morally. Nevertheless, the few crew members who were with them quickly began to organize and set aside an area for survivors to rest.

Many individuals fell asleep on the dry sand before the crew had time to light fires to warm themselves and dry their belongings.

Furina, herself deeply exhausted by the latest events and by the rescue of the young man she managed to bring back on board the life raft had somehow managed to wait until one of the fires was lit before lying down. And, using her bag as a makeshift pillow, fell asleep peacefully.

The next day, she woke up completely sore but still relaxed. Although the sun is not yet very high, its heat was already beginning to be felt. She was slightly frightened when waking up in a totally unknown place. However, the memories of the previous day quickly came back and she managed to calm down.

A little further on, a group of passengers were bringing the rafts to the assembly area to retrieve equipment from inside.

Having nothing else to do at the moment, the young woman made the decision to go and assist them.

More and more people woke up during the morning, which allowed the crew to better organize.

Passengers were invited to arrive at 10:00 am to make a general announcement.

Meanwhile, the only survivor of the royal line of Fontaine was walking among the many palm trees on this beach. Thoughtful, wondering how they would deal with this unfortunate situation.

"I really hope that the rescue will come to us soon... But still. What was the dreadful creature that attacked us last night? It has caused the deaths of so many people. We were fortunate to reach this island. I just hope we don't stay too long."

She kept moving at a slow pace through the trees. Their benevolent shadows providing good protection against this cursed sun. She took the opportunity to be a little alone to check the status of her beacon. She put her hand in her inner pocket and took it out.

"I hope that it was not damaged during the crossing. The signal must have been received by Neuvillette and the rest of the palace long ago. I hope they will act quickly."

She opened her bag, which she always carried on the shoulder, and took out a bandana. She rolled up the tracker to protect it further before placing it back in the relative safety of the inner pocket.

"Well, that should protect it a little more."

Looking at the beach, she noticed that most people were now awake. Even crew members who had fallen asleep late at night to hastily set up camp. Most of them seemed to arrive with nothing but their clothes on their backs.

"It is understandable. In the end, most people were out of their rooms when the evacuation was triggered. Probably having dinner or participating in the various activities offered by the cruise. While I was already in my room, and so unlike them I managed to retrieve some of my belongings."

She yawned and stretched simultaneously before standing against one of the trees and staring at the horizon.

She remained like this for a few minutes before being interrupted by a loud cry:

"Rally! Everyone, meet at the assembly point!" The announcement came from a member of the crew. At this, the young Fontainoise noticed that many people were heading towards the assembly point. Seeing this, she also set out... Still under this bright sun.

Many people gathered in a large semicircle to be able to observe easily. In front of them was an officer. The uniform he wore was white and elegant. Even though it was slightly stained, it still radiated a certain elegance and authority. In addition, the other seven crew members were in line behind him. This allowed the officer to maintain control of the nervous crowd in his presence.

"Good morning everyone, I'm Officer Shen. I am currently the highest-ranking member of the crew on this island, putting me in charge. First of all, I want to reassure you that GPS beacons were activated at the very moment when the evacuation of the ship was triggered and our radio operator contacted our company and the coordinates were transmitted. So, the world knows where we are. We'll have to wait together until the rescue comes in a few days."

This statement appeared to be reassuring to the survivors, giving them hope. However, the officer raised his hand. Indicating that he was not finished.

Despite this, one of the passengers. A man with many summers behind him, not waiting for the officer to speak again, approached and asked a question of his own.

"Officer, I ask for your forgiveness. But what about the other boats? Where are they? Can you tell me where the other rafts are? My friend was inside one of them."

With a gloomy expression, the officer stared at him and then added a weary voice. "Unfortunately, it appears that this unknown sea creature has destroyed all the other rafts."

The statement caused a significant disturbance to the rest of the group, which started to panic openly. Many thought that the attack of this sea creature was a nightmare, certainly an illusion. They couldn't believe it, it was unbelievable. Despite everything, they were confronted with the reality of the situation once more. The officer raised both arms to appease the people as voices grew louder.

"I declare that no one is permitted to enter deep water. It's too dangerous. As soon as the rescue teams arrive, we'll notify them and establish new search teams. At this moment, it is necessary to remain on land and organize our stay here. Our short stay."

"I... Okay, officer. I hope you're right." The man walked away and came back into the group. Once the old man was back in line. The temporary leader retaken:

"I am unable to tell you what this horrible creature was that attacked our group. But there is a chance that she is responsible for this disaster. However, to prevent a new tragedy from happening. It is strictly forbidden for anyone to get into the water above knee level."

After re-viewing the passengers who were waiting for new instructions, the officer simply added.

"Okay, now we're going to set up camp. Together with the other crew members, we will begin to implement the rationing plan. We will call you at noon for the first meal. Then, this afternoon, we will improve the camp so that we can wait for help in relative comfort. But nevertheless, before leaving, we will count you and ask you for your name and your profession. In case we ever need your skills, we'll come and get you. You are free to go now."

He made a small gesture to signify the end of this meeting.

The officer turned his back and went to a life raft that had some equipment. Furina and her fellow passengers started to spread out.

The princess was only able to walk a few steps before being approached by someone. A small amount of pressure on her elbow caused her to turn.

Pink. A lot of pink. This was what filled the view of Furina.

"Sorry but... Princess Furina? Is that you?"

An uncertain voice reaches her before she can really become aware of the person in front of her.

The person who intercepted Furina was dressed in a white collar shirt with no sleeves and lapels, and she had a black and gold ribbon tied in a knot around her neck, adorned with a blue round pin that seemed so wrong to a camera lens. On her hands, white gloves.

A red bag, strapped to his shoulder, was on her left shoulder.

For the lower part, she was dressed in a black pleated short, with a long red skirt and two black straps on each side of the waist that passed over the shirt. She had covered her salmon-pink hair with a red cap with a gold trim, adorned with a black and white ribbon. And finally, she had an elegant golden monocle on her left eye, contracting with her turquoise eyes.

"Are you Princess Furina?" Furina de Fontaine?

The uncertain voice was very quickly replaced by another one that was filled with excitement and curiosity. The eyes of the young woman in front of her seemed to be stars as they shone so brightly.

Surprised by the impulse of this unknown being, the princess of Fontaine took a little time to respond.

"Yes, that is I, Furina de Fontaine."

"Oh, great, I would love to talk about-." The girl with the pink hair could not finish her sentence because Furina put a finger in front of her face.

"All right! Let's talk, if that's what you want. But elsewhere please." The interrupted woman noticed that many eyes had been placed on them and this seemed to embarrass the young woman in blue. She quickly shook her head to nod and they went together to a more peaceful location.

While the survivors dispersed further away, the crew was gathering the equipment that was in the different survival rafts.

"So? What does that look like?" The officer asked one of his subordinates, who had a notebook filled with notes and calculations about food and equipment that was accessible.

"Well, to begin with, each life raft has a day's supply of water and food for every person on board. In addition, in the first raft, we had two evacuation bags, each of which came with equipment and food for an additional day. But they are only made for eight people. And since the rest of the equipment had to be with the last boats, which unfortunately could not be put into water or sank. So we are somewhat restricted."

One of his colleagues concurred with this and proceeded with the reasoning.

"We are probably only a hundred survivors at most. By dividing our consumption by three, we can have half a liter per person every day. Then we should be able to hold out for at least for three days."

Their leader paused before replying when confronted with this new information.

"Let's not forget that there is always the possibility of finding a fresh water source in the vicinity. And there are coconuts and rain water that we can also store. And we can possibly make sea water drinkable. Although it won't be perfect, we should save a few days and hopefully last for at least a week."

"But what about food?" Our resources are quite limited." asked a different crew member.

"We have fishing gear. And I'm quite confident that we'll find plants and other edible fruits when we look around a little. If we come across animals, we have the option to hunt as well."

One of the younger members timidly raised his hand. His superior sighed at this, but he nodded to let him know that he could ask his question.

"What if we run into dangerous animals? What are we doing?""

His question generated some smiles on the faces of the rest of the team. But their superior responded promptly.

"We are on an island that does not seem to be very large. I don't believe there's any significant danger in there... However, in the event that we have to handle this type of situation. Besides the few survival knives that are readily available. We have what it takes to handle it."

He gave a slight nod to a man nearby.

He grasped what he was referring to and swiftly identified a case of aluminum. When he opened it, the contents were revealed to the entire team.

Two small, brand new revolvers were found inside.

The crew was taken aback by this discovery, but their thoughts were again halted.

"I hope we won't have to use it, but it's better to be too cautious than too careless."

He glanced at a young woman who was also in the uniform of the cruise company. "Can you tell me about satellite phones?"

She responded to him without delay.

"Although it appears to be functioning, I am unable to access the network."

After receiving this bad news, the officer bent his forehead and spoke again.

"This is not anything to worry about. All the beacons on the ship were activated simultaneously when we were hit for the first time. All nations must now be aware of the location of the sinking. It won't take long for them to realize that we've taken refuge on this island."

He glared at the other cruise company employees who were staring.

"As per the plan, lunch will be served at noon. Provide me with their exact numbers and individuals who can help us construct a camp while we wait for rescue. If things go smoothly, we will be back home the day after tomorrow. All of you, please return to your duties now."

As his crew disbanded, the officer observed the expansive ocean.

"What was that creature?" he mumbled before returning to work.

A little further on, two silhouettes were talking to each other, they seemed to be a little confused.

"Shinobu, don't you think we should help them?" After all, were we hired for the crossing?"

The young woman beside him simply shook her head. Before answering:

"Chief, when we came to them, they told us to stay out of their way and go further. I don't think they believed us when we told them we were hired part-time. And there are enough of them to take care of everyone for a few days. It's better not to make waves and wait for the evacuation."

The great Arataki Itto simply nodded his head before going back to search for insects. In particular, beetles that it could train for combat. And then bring them home so they can take back the title of champion of the Inazuma Islands beetle fights.

"And so. To whom am I given the privilege of speaking?" Furina inquired about her shipwreck companion. They had chosen a somewhat remote place, with only sand, palm trees and some rocks around. There is no one to disturb them... Perfect!

Her interlocutor, who seemed to have recovered a little from her emotions, replied:

"Hello, sorry about earlier. I am Charlotte! A journalist who works for the Steambird as an apprentice." She displayed her press card that was hanging around her neck. Furina had no trouble recognizing the emblem of the newspaper mentioned. After all, she had been a loyal customer of it for a long time.

The aspiring journalist continued with a spirited voice.

"It is a great surprise for me to find you here, Princess Furina. But also a great honor and privilege to be able to meet you. When I saw you on the cruise ship for the first time I almost didn't recognize you. I didn't think that you would go that far from Fontaine..." She suddenly switched to a softer voice and became more indecisive.

"Especially...after last month...with what happened with your..." The star of the city of water raised her hand, which interrupted once more the reporter.

"I understand, but it's mostly because of what happened last month that I need to get away from Fontaine." There was no anger in his response. Just a deep weariness. Which worried Charlotte.

"Uh, I'm sorry I brought it up. I know it must be very hard for you..." Furina sighed a little before answering.

"It's nothing, I'm sorry. I fully understand the curiosity about my situation. But this is still a sensitive topic for me ... Otherwise, how can I help? ... Charlotte?"

"Oh, yes, sorry. I was actually sent on this cruise by my editorial staff for a report. And last night, I was taking some pictures with Monsieur vérité (she took out a personalized camera from her bag) of a concert that was taking place. And that's when the shock and evacuation happened, of course."

Furina could spot quite easily that dark circles were under her eyes. Despite the journalist's vitality, she understood that yesterday's events drained her of her energy.

"I thought that even though I wouldn't be able to work anymore on the cruise, I would still be able to work on our drama and record our evacuation. I made sure to take as many pictures as I could to document this adventure." She presented her camera with pride. "Therefore, I recorded the entire crossing last night. And so, I could also..." She seemed to hesitate to finish her sentence, so Furina finished it for her.

"Were you able to film the monster's attack?" Charlotte gave a quick nod to confirm.

"Yes, absolutely everything... And that's why I wanted to see you." Before proceeding, she seemed to hesitate once more. "I would like to know if I could get the court protection for my device." Her request surprised Furina who could not help but ask her a question.

"Protection? For your camera? Not for you?"

"I am a journalist. I know that it can be a very dangerous job. Nonetheless, I comprehend and accept these risks. My objective is to ensure that the truth about what I took is made known to the public. What attacked us, and certainly made us topple, is not normal. I have worked on marine faunas and I haven't seen anything like this before." She gazed at the forest, which was not distant from them. "I'm not sure what's bothering me, but I have a bad feeling about this island. In short, I would like to know that what we are experiencing is reported. To tell the truth, Princess Furina, you're probably the only person here who can ensure that happens." The journalist paused briefly before continuing. "Although you have declined to obtain the title of Regina and government control, you are still significant to Fontaine. If you asked the court. Then I'm sur that the Iudex and the Senate would certainly agree to broadcast them... I am certain that we will attempt to conceal the cause of this shipwreck. And people have a right to know the truth."

Furina was astonished by the rant of her co-survivor from the shipwreck... The weight of her words coming right into her face. What she had just said seemed incongruous. The ship that took them on a cruise sank and a nightmarish creature attacked the survivors, causing the loss of many lives. And although it is certainly very strange. Was there really something to shout about a conspiracy?

"But it still makes a point... What happened is worth knowing. And there's no harm in helping him. Still, I will try to talk to Neuvillette about it before... To take his opinion into account." She thought a little longer before giving a rather timid answer.

"Having no executive power, I can therefore make no promises. But I do promise that I will talk to the Iudex about releasing these images." This answer seemed to reassure Charlotte, who let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank you very much prin-."

« Stop ! Don't call me princess... maybe in Fontaine this would still be worth something. But certainly not here on this lost island." Charlotte hesitated a little before trying something else:

"Lady Furina?" This seemed to exasperate the concerned person again... Less than the last time but still a little.

"We'll settle for that." she murmured. Charlotte smiled at the sight of the princess who seemed to be embarrassed.

"I am sure you will make the right decision, Lady Furina. It's clear that you're willing to put yourself at risk to help others. Just like last night. When you saved that unfortunate man, who was desperately trying to board one of the rafts." The eyebrows of her interlocutor rose. She was clearly surprised that anyone knew about this incident.

"Did you see what happened?"

"Seen? Not only. I even recorded it." Charlotte put the screen of her camera forward and placed it in front of their eyes. After selecting one of the many video files, she launched it and it appeared on the screen. A video appeared and it showed the events of the day before, and Furina could see that indeed the young journalist had managed to capture the rescue of the young man last night.

"Once we have left this island. Fontaine will be impressed by the incredible courage of their princess, who doesn't hesitate to put herself in danger to help others." Charlotte's statement was accompanied by a big smile on her face. This did not fail to capture the young lady's attention. Who immediately requests that this part of the video be deleted.

The tranquility in this area of the beach was disturbed by the bickering between the two young women for a considerable amount of time.

"Four water rations... And three cereal bars... For the whole day... Not much isn't it?" Xingqiu muttered as he looked at his possessions. The young man sat on the sand in a sling and against the trunk of a fallen palm tree. The crew had just distributed food and water to passengers. And of course, many were disappointed with the snacks received. Just before the distribution began, many passengers started docking to receive their daily ration at one time. The crew, feeling the tension rising, made a choice to ask if they preferred to receive portions per meal at fixed times or to receive them every morning and then manage them themselves.

A large majority chose to take everything, probably to have a sense of independence. And once this matter was settled, they all lined up to receive their respective portions.

And of course, each time, the crew asked for the name, surname and profession of each individual. This is to have the exact number of people present, but also to know who can help for the camp.

"Oh, at least this gives us the opportunity to go on a diet," said Chongyun, who sat next to his best friend. "They didn't keep you to help, apparently."

"Yes, it must be that poet and writer are not very useful to help manage a camp on a desert island... And you? Don't they need a paranormal exorcist?" His companion shook his head and said, "When they saw how I can handle the heat, they kindly asked me to stay under the shade of the palm trees."

He grunted, disappointed that he could not help. His friend laughed a little before reminding him that they had to eat a little. The young exorcist sighed before taking a portion of his ration and began to eat it. Seeing him do, the writer followed his lead and he sat down at table.

After this frugal meal, the two young men remained seated, too tired to move in this overwhelming heat.

"This damned sun." Moaned Chongyun, raising his hand to mask the powerful star. He had always been very sensitive to the heat and staying on this island was a real ordeal. His friend could offer him only a smile of compassion.

"Sorry, I don't even have a hat to protect you. All my belongings remained in our cabin."

"That is a shame. When I think of the products we took from our stopover in Monstadt, they are now at the bottom of the ocean."

"Yes, I would have liked a glass of cider."

"Oh, a nice glass of cider, chilled."

"With some chicken shish kebabs to go with it."

"And a nice ice cream sorbet...I want to go home now..."

"Stop, you two, you make me want to eat". A fluffy voice behind them interrupted in their gastronomic daydreams. Xingqiu turned around and answered the new arrival.

"Oh, Xiangling it's you! What are you doing here? Did I not think the crew asked you to stay with them when they found out that you were a cook?" The young woman putting her hands on her hips before answering the duet.

"Exactly. After I told them about my experience as a cook and culinary researcher. They asked me to look around the camp to see what plants and other fruits can be used for cooking. I was even given a book on the subject." She handed out a little guide with pride.

"Good for you then". Answered briefly Chongyun, still so tired. The young woman looked at her friends, swinging against the trunk.

"Go what! The situation is not yet completely hopeless! I'm sure the help will come soon. In the meantime, you will be able to taste some good exotic dishes prepared by a renowned chef."

Xingqiu rolled his eyes at the energy and optimism of her friend, but he simply replied:

"If you say so, Xiangling..."

She seemed to be about to answer when a distant voice interrupted her.

'Miss Xiangling. I came to get you. We are going on expedition now." A woman in a blue uniform called her out and made gestures to make herself visible.

"Oh, apparently it's time for me to get back to work. I'll come back later. See you later!" She gestured at them before heading towards her teammate.

"See you later, Xiangling!"

"Take care of yourself!"

The cook turned to thank them before joining the crew member and heading out into the forest. Under the worried look of his friends.

"I hope everything goes well... Ouch! Why did you do that?" Xingqiu was holding his left forearm where he had just been pinned.

"You're going to bring us bad luck if you continue like this..." the victim gave him a dark look before turning it towards the lush vegetation.

"Good, dinner was not too bad."

Furina and Charlotte were eating the rations that had been distributed earlier in the day. They had spent much of the afternoon helping in the camp and setting up and building makeshift tents with other survivors. But now the sun was already setting and after doing a great physical work, the stomachs were hungry. And although the meal was quite meager, it did good.

"Although it is very different from all you can eat buffet that was on the cruise... Or meals prepared by the chef of Palais Mermonia ... I miss Fontaine." She shook her head and glanced at Charlotte. Charlotte, who was reviewing the many photos and interviews that she had taken with her camera today, slowly and monotonously chewed one of the survival cookies. Seeing the young journalist chew this dry biscuit made her thirsty. She snatched up her bag to take one of the waters rations she had in it.

She easily noticed them and took one out. As she was about to tear it, she had a little moment of contemplation.

"Oh, well, I didn't even have time to check what I had brought with me before the boat sank."

Opening the bag wide, she threw the contents onto the sand. Due to the fact that most of it was stored in her cabin, she didn't take much, but she didn't leave with nothing either.

"Let's take a look at what I have. Firstly, I have my official documents, five cereal bars, some candy, two small bottles of water, one bottle of iced tea, the book I brought from my room, and the small bag that was in my suitcase. And of course my wallet. I wouldn't want to have to redo my identity documents if we ever get off this island."

She put the ice tea, water, her documents, the small bag, her wallet and to finish the cereal bars in the bag. But she kept some sweets with her. She took one, put it right in her mouth. The sugar and fruity taste lifted her spirits almost immediately.

"Hmmm, that's too good." She approached Charlotte and gave her one. The journalist noticed her intention and finished her ration before taking the sweet.

"Thank you very much, lady Furina." She said while putting the candy into her mouth.

"Thank you, my dear and valuable subject. How long we will stay on this damned island is not exactly known, but there is no harm in adding to the ordinary while waiting for our departure." She smiled at her compatriot before putting her bag next to her tightly closed and turning her eyes towards the horizon.

The conversation she had with Charlotte was quite beneficial. Furina took the opportunity to rest a little. The night was long and the rest didn't really make a difference. That's the reason why she was lying down with her back against a palm tree and enjoying the view of the sea in the distance. For a few minutes, they remained silent until Charlotte spoke again.

"Although it is nice to stay on the sand. We should go back to the center of the camp and maybe search for a place to sleep. The day has been long and exhausting, and tomorrow is going to be the same."

Furina nodded in agreement and they arose, grabbing their bags. Furina started moving first but as she leaned, Charlotte dropped her hat in the sand, which caused a delay.

"Damn, I already lost my coat. I won't start losing my hat either." Upon returning it to her pink hair, she was about to leave when she heard a noise.

CRAC

The sound of branches that have been broken. She turned immediately. Her trusted camera in her gloved hands. She looked at the vegetation for a while.

« Charlotte ? Everything is okay?" Furina, seeing that Charlotte had not followed her, came back.

"I heard a noise. A broken branch, no doubt... Well, I think."

The princess accompanied her in her observation. But not noticing anything unusual, she took her companion's hand.

"Perhaps it was just a little critter? Or maybe a fruit falling from a tree? In any case, we should go. One of the groups that left earlier found some fruits in the forest and they have started distributing them.

Charlotte confirmed with a nod and they left towards the camp... Walking at a faster pace than anticipated... Shortly after their departure, a mysterious shadow appeared behind a tree.

« Movo !Zido ! »

"And here you go! Have a nice dessert!" Furina received six yellow berries from a girl wearing a yellow qipao. Apparently, it was she who found the location of the bays. Three for her and for Charlotte, who was looking for a comfortable place for them to spend the night. Many had already chosen the place to sleep, mainly in the tents made on the same day. Some were made with rafts that had been cut, while others were made with branches and foliage collected around the camp.

Furina, honestly, didn't know what to choose, but they had to hurry because the wind was starting to blow strong and it was unwise to stay outside at night.

The sound of music distracted her for a moment. She could see that someone was playing the guitar. She recognized the musician from the day before. The one who was giving a concert in the cruise ship's performance hall. She had settled down near one of the largest fires on a bench made from a tree trunk on the beach.

"She uses an electric guitar. Logical, as it was the instrument she was using when the sinking began." The sound was quite low because the guitar was not plugged in, but it still managed to attract a large number of spectators.

"Ah, this music is very comforting. This reminds me of the many concerts I've been to at the Opera Epiclesis... Mom." She enjoyed the music while waiting for Charlotte to return when she was accosted by someone.

"Hey, is that your friend?" asked one member of the crew. He seemed quite irritated and pointed at Charlotte. Charlotte herself seemed to be in a rather lively discussion with someone else.

"Well, actually-."

"Tell her to stop telling her nonsense. She mentioned hearing something in the forest. And this has caused a lot of people to panic. Do you not believe that they are already under too much stress?"

Furina was taken aback by the man's reaction and had a hard time coming up with a response.

"But she said that-."

"Enough! Tell her not to do it again." And he left quickly. Charlotte returned to Furina's side a few minutes later. She seemed quite upset by what had just happened.

My intention was to inform the crew about the peculiar noise near the forest, but it appears that was the wrong approach. It would be better if you could find a place to rest alone, lady Furina. I think that if you stay with me, you may not be accepted. Furina glanced back to see that many people were observing the journalist with a dark stare.

"Yes, it seems that staying with her may hurt my chances of finding shelter. But she's the only person I'm somewhat close to here right now. So, I'm not going to leave her alone like that. Also, I find it a bit excessive to exclude her just for that."

"It's nothing, let's go outside the camp. We'll look for a peaceful spot to spend the night." She grasped her partner's hand and began moving towards the camp's outskirts. But they barely made a few meters that they were arrested.

"Wait!"

The duo turned around and they could see who talked to them. And it was none other than the young man who had almost drowned the day before, as he desperately sought to catch a raft in order to get out of the sea current. Although he appeared nervous, he persevered.

"Are you perhaps looking for a place to rest? There is still room inside our tent." The young man spoke tentatively. Great shyness in his voice, but it seemed that the respect he had for the person who risked falling out of the water for him outweighed his condition. Furina was still pleased to see that the person she aided during this nightmare crossing is in good health, and this brought a slight smile to her lips.

"It brings me joy to see him doing well. He dozed off before we reached the island. I haven't been able to see him since the landing."

The young lady responded:

"Yes, we would be delighted if we could spend the night sheltered from the elements...Isn't it Charlotte?" The other member of the duo gave a quick nod. It appears that she was enthusiastic about interviewing new people. In particular, the individual who escaped a direct attack from the sea creature.

Hearing this, the young man gave a small smile of relief.

"In that case... if you would follow me." He held out his arms and pointed to the life raft behind him. Even though there were several people who had already chosen this place to spend the night, there was still a lot of space available. In addition, many people have decided to abandon the rafts to try to find a more natural refuge outside and enjoy the beach.

Furina noticed the state of the makeshift shelter for a moment before nodding.

"This will do the job perfectly...Thank you!"

This seemed to comfort the young man who lifted the canvas from the raft to let them in. Both looking forward to resting a little after this exhausting day.

"I have to go pee." A young man exited his temporary tent and headed for the forest. The moon and various campfires were the only remaining sources of light after the long fall night. But not wanting to be disturbed, the young man arrived at the edge of the forest. After confirming that he was alone by looking left and right, he pulled his pants down slightly and started doing his thing.

"Oh! It feels good! All that's missing is toilet paper and this –."

Crack!

« Hum-Ough ! »

The man fell to the ground after turning over after hearing a branch crack and being hit violently on the back of his head. As he attempted to get up. His attacker struck him with several more violent blows.

« Nunu!Nunu! »

The assailant. A creature with a dark body and a masked head continued to beat the poor man until he stopped moving. After making sure he does not make a single move and after confirming it by tapping with his stick. He grasped the lifeless body by its leg and carried it to the forest's darkness, where his companions were waiting for him. And a few moments later, a sound came out of the vegetation:

« Muhe! »

Part A completed.

See you soon!
