"He can't even use that weapon properly. I am so disappointed, Roy. We've wasted time.", Wuya complained while resting against a rock with crossed arms. Hannibal, on the other side, laughed amused and told her "At least we had a good laugh. I told you he wouldn't be able to use it properly. It's Jack after all. Always failing to do everything.".
Wuya snorted, "I know that better than anyone. If you make him pour tea, he would drop the kettle and start screaming.", Roy laughed at that, then continued "What do you say, Wuya? I think we waited long enough. How about we give them a surprise visit? They have gotten too comfortable while stargazing".
She opened her eyes and rose to her feet, cracking her fingers, "I thought you would never-", she didn't finish her sentence. Instead she gasped and froze in place, her expression changing from cruel malice to utter surprise. Her eyes glowed and her hair floated in waves, as goosebumps formed on her legs and arms.
Roy looked at her confused, "Wuya? What's wrong?", "It's…", she rasped out, breathless, "it's-"
Dojo screamed and coiled on the ground as his entire body twisted uncontrollably, his muscles tensing and skin crawling. His reaction scared the others, "Dojo?!", Omi called out to their friend, "What's wrong?!", Kimiko asked, just as concerned as the others.
"The Tonfas of Lei! THEY REVEALED!".
They left as soon as they got the news, flying for hours in the cold night, barely a word being spoken in the tension. Dawn came and Dojo was still going at high speed, while the monks were holding onto him for dear life. Gone was the rocky canion, replaced by the blue vast sea and salty air.
Dojo sniffed in the air and his head snapped down. Where the sea met the shore, there was a pirate shipwreck. Onto the groaning wood of its mast was the wu, glowing a bright yellow.
"It's there!", Dojo called, flying down and landing on his claws. Everybody jumped off of him while he shifted into his smaller form. They looked at the wu as they quickly went closer, but as soon as they approached the ship they heard growling and roaring.
All froze in place, "What in tarnation?!, exclaimed Clay, surprised when all of them got surrounded by… oh no…
"Chase Young!", Omi called out in anger. He instantly looked up at the mast, only to see the dark lord on top of it, holding his hands behind his back with the Tonfas of Lei strapped to his armor. He was looking down at the kids as his jungle cats surrounded them, "Hello Omi. It's been a while.", he spoke casually.
Omi pointed an accusatory finger at him, "The Tonfas of Lei shall not fall into your most diabolic hands! Prepare yourself for a most humiliating defeat!", "As far as I can see, young monk, I am not the one defeated here.", Chase spoke while smirking, "But if you want the wu so badly, then try to take it from me.".
All the feline warriors roared at them and the monks took a fighting stance with their tense bodies. All, besides Jack, who pulled something out of his pocket. "Seems like we-", Raimundo started but got interrupted, "Tangled Web Comb!".
Omi, Kimiko, Raimundo and Clay, even Dojo, found themselves tied tightly by the comb, "Hey!", Dojo yelled in surprise, "What gives?!", Raimundo screamed. All of them struggled to get out of their ties, then they heard laughter.
They looked at Jack who smirked at them, "You're all a bunch of losers! You should've seen your deep shit faces!", "Jack?", "What are you doing?!", Water and Fire asked, while Jack placed the comb in his pocket. "I'm done with this! You really thought I wanted any of this xiaolin thing going on?! I only stayed to see if I actually have any powers.", He spoke in his old evil tone, but his eyes showed the truth.
They knew what he was up to, and they also saw a quick wink, so subtle that they would have missed it if they weren't paying close attention. They played along too, "Jack! I can't believe it! We trusted you!", Omi yelled, pretending as best as he could that he was angry, "I can't believe it! You're still a varmint!", Clay growled, "How can you do this?!", "Yeah! Don't you have any remorse?!", Raimundo and Kimiko screamed at him.
Jack only laughed harder, "Later losers!", and he walked past the jungle cats who all watched him cautiously. He looked up to see the dark prince still staring down at him, "Chase!", He ran towards him and climbed up on the ship, then jumped on the mast where the man was watching his every move. "Did you see that Chase?! I caught them all just for you!", "Is that so, Spicer?", he asked while raising an eyebrow.
"Hellooo?! You're my evil idol! I look up to you the most!", He exclaimed excitedly, while walking slowly on the mast towards him, the monks all watching him carefully. "Chase! I can actually summon lightnings! That must mean something right? I thought that if I stayed with them long enough, I could learn to control this!", "Hmm?", Chase hummed with a grin, "And how did that work for you?", "Chase, I can feel it, my element, I mean. I can feel it. And I can call it out sometimes. But for all it's worth, I can't control it. I am done pretending to be a xiaolin. Can you teach me? I will do my best if you take me as your apprentice!".
"Didn't Hannibal give you the same proposition?", He asked casually, Jack sweatdropped but didn't lose his composure, "I've learned from my mistakes Chase. I don't trust him. I knew he would use me or hurt me. But I don't expect that from you! You are different because you've got the whole honor going on. Plus, like I said, you're my idol! I always wanted for you to notice me.".
Jack was face to face with him now, smiling ear to ear, "And I am also not as annoying anymore, promise.". Chase chuckled, pondering, then looked right into Jack's eyes. "Your eyes betray you. They do not hold that heyling spark in them anymore.".
The genius rubbed the back of his neck and laughed, "I saw that too when I took off my red lenses, but I can assure you, I am still as evil as ever. You want me to kill some puppies for you? I can do that.", he said, hoping that Chase wouldn't actually make him do that.
"Fine, Spicer.", Jack's eyes widened, "If you wish to learn so bad, then I don't see why not. You can become my apprentice, with the condition to not get out of my word.", "Really?! OH THANK YOU CHASE! THANK YOU!", he exclaimed as he hugged the man, like he used to do years ago. Thankfully, Chase still didn't pull away, but he knew the 3 second rule, so he had to hurry.
His hands subtly slid down towards the Tonfas of Lei, "I promise, I won't let you down! I-AGH!", suddenly Chase grabbed his hand and twisted it. Jack barely managed to keep his balance on the mast as he looked at the man that was almost crushing his fingers in his grip.
"Jack!", He heard his friends calling him and he quickly grabbed the comb, not to trap the dark lord, because he knew better, but to free them. When their ties released them, they found themselves being attacked by tigers, lions and panthers, barely being able to hold their own, even when using their elements.
"How stupid do you think I am, Spicer?", Chase asked calmly, but annoyed none the less. He pulled Jack's hand slightly to the edge, making him yelp at almost losing his balance. The genius, who at that moment wasn't being the smartest, gave in to his intrusive thoughts and itchy tongue and said, "Pretty stupid, yeah.".
Young's eyes turned to slits and he threw him over the edge, snatching the Tangled Web Comb from him. Jack screamed as he fell but the comb's ties caught him, and he was left tied up from shoulders to his feet and hanging upside down to the mast. "Jack!", He heard Omi, but not from below him, where Kimiko, Raimundo and Clay were fighting the jungle cats, but from above.
Looking up he saw Omi on the mast with Chase Young, having a fighting pose, "Chase Young! Prepare yourself for a humiliating defeat!", he exclaimed, then called out his amazing martial arts movements.
"Repulse the monkey! Rooster frying eggs! Spider doing hokey pokey! Grasshopper doing dog paddle! Duck eating crackers! WAAAH!", He yelled as Chase blocked every single move and knocked him down on the mast. Omi rubbed his head, then chocked as the man grabbed him by the throat and lifted him up, "Good. But unfortunately for you, you haven't learned anything new, young monk.", Omi coughed and struggled as his grip tightened.
"OMI!", Jack yelled with wide eyes, then shut them tight and clenched his teeth, a vein showing on his neck and his muscles turned to stone as he struggled.
Managing somehow to rip one arm free from the comb's ties he glared back at Chase and pointed two fingers at the mast, "WUDAI VENUS! LIGHTNING!".
The man's eyes widened as he looked down in time to see a bright, white light. He jumped out of the way where a lighting came from Jack's hand and struck the wooden mast with a thundering sound, breaking it in half and burning it. He released Omi, who coughed and pointed his palms towards him "WUDAI NEPTUNE! ICE".
Chase yelled in surprise as a jet of water hit him hard in the chest, then froze him in a block of ice. Omi landed on the ship while the frozen man fell on the ground. The water dragon quickly jumped up to free Jack from the comb's 's when he heard the block of ice cracking and exploding as Chase emerged from it, growling.
Patting himself he saw that the tonfast weren't tied to his armor anymore, but instead they were on the ground a few dozen feet from him.
Looking towards the other monks he saw how they defeated all of his feline warriors. Young scoffed and ran towards the tonfas, but then he yelped when someone knocked him to the ground, then groaned as that person elbowed his back. Looking up he saw Wuya, smirking down at him. "How rude of you to start this party without us.", She said while smirking down at him, then Hannibal jumped down from the bird of Heylin, using the Moby Morpher to change to a bigger size.
"My apologies, let me make it up to you.", Chase grinned while his teeth turned sharp and a green, draconic tail wrapped around Wuya's waist and threw her right into Hannibal. He got up and snapped his fingers, with that his jungle cats shifted into warriors.
Everyone stayed quiet as enemies sized each other up, the monks sweat dropped, their muscles tense. Then the first warrior attacked.
"WUDAI STAR WIND!", Raimundo roared while throwing his hands towards that warrior, a powerful gust of his element, hitting him and several other opponents away.
Kimiko jumped on Clay's back, who gave her a boost for a strong momentum. Finding herself in the air she yelled "WUDAI MARS! FIRE!", and started rotating, fire engulfing her entire being. Falling down she punched the ground, and streaks of molten heat followed different directions from her fist and onto the ground, avoiding her friends but hitting their enemies on the fullest. They roared when their flesh started burning and melting off their bones, and in a panic they started rolling on the ground.
Kimiko then took some sparrows from her wudai weapon and threw them at Wuya "ARROW SPARROW!", the little birds followed their target in furious flames, but the heylin witch didn't live and die 1500 years for nothing. Glaring at the attack, her eyes turned a toxic shade of green and she raised her hands up, shielding herself in magic right on time.
The arrows colliding with the barrier caused a great explosion, and from the smoke emerged Wuya who laughed maniacally and kept her hands above her head, glowing in her powerful aura. The ground started shaking when she summoned her stone creatures from it.
Meanwhile Hannibal, who got caught up in a hand to hand combat with Chase, used the Moby Morpher to conjure an extra pair of arms from his body and punch the dark lord away.
"How the FUCK can you do that?!", Jack exclaimed up at Wuya, shielding his eyes from the wind she was creating, "Yeah! Weren't her powers limited?!", asked Raimundo as he too was covering his eyes.
"Are you all that surprised?", She asked with a grin, while Roy started laughing and exclaimed "Don't hold back, my dear! Let's show those who oppose us the true power of Heylin!", "My pleasure.", she agreed, then she started glowing.
Chase got up and shook his head to get rid of the dizziness, "Not so fast.", he spoke as he shifted into his dragon form and roared. Then he attacked Hannibal.
The atmosphere darkened from the heylin energy rising in the sky.
"That's not good guys!", Raimundo exclaimed as he jumped out of the way of one of Wuya's stone creature's attacks.
"We must do the formation!", Omi exclaimed before jumping up and splitting one of the creatures in half with the Mantis Strike.
"What?!", Jack yelled, "It still needs practice, Omi!", said Kimiko as she too jumped up and kicked the head off of the body of another creature, "We can do it! Let's go!".
Everyone looked at Jack who gulped in fright, but then he nodded in determination, "Okay! Let's do it!". They nodded with clenched fists and tense muscles. They all got into the pose.
"WUDAI ORION FORMATION!", They all yelled in unison.
Jack and Raimundo were on the sides, the wind element doing the dragon pose while lighting made the tiger pose. Clay stood in the middle while doing the Crane, holding both Omi and Kimiko on each arm, water doing the mantis pose while fire doing the serpent pose.
Instantly they all started glowing in their specific element, blue, white, green, red and silver.
Clay threw Kimiko and Omi in the air and kicked his foot down on the floor, splitting it in two and forming a crater, a couple of the stone creatures falling inside it.
Kimiko used her element propulse herself in the air, both her and Raimundo started flying while Omi started spinning, water coming out of his body.
All three shot their attacks at the creatures, fire, water and wind taking down the roaring monsters.
Jack was last but not least, he jumped up and turned himself into a mass of light, in a split second he wasn't above ground but in the sky. He crouched down, holding a leg under him, while holding the other straight, keeping his hands paralel with his he rotated and straightened his back then curved himself a little, doing a dynamic figure skating pose.
Lightning came from the sky and into his body, then he used his hands to point down at the creatures and shoot down several lightnings, destroying the last remaining beasts.
Wuya's eyebrow twitched as all dragons returned to their group, their elemental energy disappearing from their bodies. "Holy sh- Divine poop! I did it! We did it! It worked guys! That. Was. AWESOME!", Jack almost sang the last word.
All the others looked amused at him, "We still gotta work on your bad words though.", Omi commented.
"Don't feel victorious yet, the battle isn't over!", Wuya called from the sky, shooting green fire in their direction.
All monks prepared their elemental weapons.
Meanwhile Chase Young dislocated his jaw and roared, biting into Hannibal's arm and ripping it off, making the later scream in pain.
Bean glared in rage, wanting to use the morpher again, but then the draconic monster whipped him with his tail, throwing him to the side. Looking up, Chase saw Wuya yelling and falling from the sky after a tornado hit her fully.
Chase reverted back to his human form and tsked, then ran towards the Tonfas, but Omi got in front of him and started attacking him. They both engaged in a fight while Wuya, with a vein popping on her forehead, got up and threw her fists towards the sky. From the ground emerged rock creatures again, but the last one was different, that thing was resembling a giant dragon with glowing green eyes and flames on its back.
"WHOAH! MOTHERFUCKER!", Jack yelled while backing away with both hands on his head, "Language!", Clay, Raimundo and Kimiko yelled back at him, "HE WHO LIKES TO SLEEP WITH BIRTH GIVERS!", "CAN YOU STOP?!", Kimiko yelled exasperatedly at him, "How are they so much worse than the normal cussings?!", Rai exclaimed, but then jumped out of the way as the beast tried attacking him.
Jack shot a lighting at it, but all it did was scorch its rock muzzle for a bit. The creature roared and threw its jaws forward, everyone looking at it with wide eyes, thinking how to evade it.
Then Dojo jumped out of Clay's hat and shifted into his huge form, roaring. He and the rock creature coiled up against each other like serpents and slammed each other onto the ground with biting and clawing.
The kids did not have time to help him as they too started fighting the other rock creatures. Then Jack heard a scream and he looked up in time to see Omi getting slammed into a rock. He gasped and turned himself into a mass of light.
As fire, earth and wind destroyed most of the creatures, they all saw how Dojo, dodging the green flames of the beast, grabbed the creature's maw and forced it open with his clawed paws, then without hesitation he shot fire right into it's throat. The creature's eyes widened as its body started cracking with orange light. Soon the thing exploded, leaving Dojo to growl at the remaining stones.
Chase approached Omi but then saw a bright light and jumped out of the way. The electricity before him materialized into a body, and Jack emerged from it, facing Omi, "Are you okay?!", he asked worriedly while placing a hand on the monk's shoulder.
The water dragon rubbed his head and groaned, "Ow, I am going to feel this yesterday.", Jack didn't correct him on that sentence. In turn, he made a stressed face, then he saw how their friends were still fighting to exhaustion against Wuya, and how Dojo was panting while full of fresh wounds.
"Move, Spicer.", He heard Chase say behind him, and he gritted his teeth, clenching his jaw. "That's enough.", He said, tightening his grip on his wudai weapon. "What was that?", The man asked nonchalantly, raising an eyebrow.
Jack turned around and yelled as he raised the axe above his head, "I said. That's. ENOUGH!", and when he did, the sky darkened and lightnings cracked above him. He shouted and threw the weapon down, hitting the ground with the butt part of the blade, then called out its name.
"THUNDER BUSTER!".
Then the axe started glowing, and the sky erupted with lightnings that struck each and all of their opponents. As Chase got hit by one of them he howled in pain, being blasted away in the process.
The stone creatures all crumbled and Wuya fell to the floor, smoke coming out of her body.
Kimiko rasped out a breath, then saw the tonfas. In a moment she punched fire towards the ground and flew towards them, grabbing the wu in the process.
"GUYS! I GOT IT!", She called, Dojo did not wait to be told twice. He flew, grabbing the kids in the process and rising to the sky.
They all left the place, leaving their glaring enemies behind.
"That was awesome!", Raimundo exclaimed with an arm around Jack's shoulders as they all went inside the vault, "Jack! You managed to both do the orion formation with us and use your wudai weapon!", Omi continued and hugged him, "With the progress you made, I bet master Fung will give you showdown robes soon!", Kimiko said and last was Clay "Forget the showdown robes, he will get his elemental weapon!".
Jack sighed and whined, "I was never more stressed out in my entire life, I never wanna do it again, why being one of the good guys feels like this? I wasn't that anxious when I was bad… and tired, why am I so tired? Do you guys ever get like this after using magic?", They all laughed at that, "You used a huge amount of power back there. It's only normal. You're going to snore like a bull tonight.", Clay assured while patting his shoulder, "It's worth it, did you saw Wuya's face when the lightnings destroyed all of her creatures? Never going to forget that in my life!", Raimundo exclaimed as they all reached the stone enclosure with the Tonfas of Lei symbol on it.
Kimiko opened it and placed the wu inside, but she frowned, "What the…", she pushed and twisted the tonfas a couple of times, "What's wrong?", Omi asked, looking at what she was doing, "I don't know, they don't fit.", "This vault is almost as old as me, perhaps the stone had gotten deteriorated with time, try putting them vertically.", Dojo told her.
After a few more tries, Kimiko pushed the tonfas inside with a 'phew', then closed the enclosure. "Done. Now, let's go and get some rest. Oh, and Jack, today we are forgiving you since you are tired, but tomorrow you better not forget about your promise.", she warned playfully while pointing a finger at him.
"Aye, aye, boss, ice cream, you guys just think about the flavors, okay?", Jack said while rolling his eyes, but smiling nonetheless. They all cheered joyfully at the sound of the cold dessert, then they went up to rest.
