In the hallways...
Midoriya ran away from the cafeteria, feeling something wearing off. He didn't want to be running away from Uraraka, but this charm was stopping him from doing anything about it. He could tell that there was more to this charm than he thought as he kept going. He tried to stop himself from running away from her, but the charm was so stubborn and kept going. It even seemed to be using One for All to stump him, which just frustated him even more.
He could feel that his quirk was in stuck within the spell book, and not neccessarily taken away completely. The charm was just using it to give it some energy. Even he felt like he was stuck in the spell book himself as he tried to reach out to stop himself from running. Something about the charm had taken him away from his body, which made him wonder if this had anything to do with Mr. Amasawa or his wife.
He knew that his wife was possibly a fairy, so there was no way she had anything to do with this spell book. He felt like Mr. Amasawa was probably stuck in this spell book somehow. Uraraka talked to him and Iida as if that older man wasn't Mr. Amasawa after all. It made him wonder if that guy wasn't Mr. Amasawa, then who was he? Whoever he was, he seemed somewhat aware of what was going on considering he could tell that his quirk was rare.
Whatever was going on, he had to stop Mr. Amasawa from getting what he wants. Midoriya ran into the restroom and no one was in there. He dropped his backpack and ran over to the sink. He gripped onto the counter and felt the charm getting somewhat stronger. Not by much, but enough for him to feel it pulling him away.
Midoriya turned on the sink and splashed some water into his face. He let it drip down his face for a moment, letting the cooling sensation relax him. That seemed to help Midoriya snap out of it a bit, but not enough to grab the spell book. Then he felt something come over him, and the charm seemed to know what was going on.
Then Midoriya could suddenly see himself through the mirror. He was stuck in the mirror and couldn't get out of it as he watched himself clean up. He tried to smash the glass, but all it did was bounce back at him. It didn't even make any noise on the other side of the mirror.
"I know you're here."
Midoriya froze in place, hearing himself talking to him through the mirror. He watched himself lift his head and stare at him with those pink and green eyes. He smirked at him with such intense eyes, giving him chills all over him. Something about the feeling felt an awful like when he entered the shop a few days ago. He knew that Mr. Amasawa was always there, just waiting for someone to find this book specifically.
"Mr. Amasawa..." Midoriya growled out, "You're doing this. You're the one that did all of this."
All Mr. Amasawa could do was smirk at Midoriya through the mirror.
"It sure took you long enough," Mr. Amasawa said back, "You sure are smart though for figuring out. You even thought that old man was me."
Midoriya didn't know what to do. He was stuck in this mirror and couldn't get out. He tried to focus on One for All, but the spell book was stopping him from using it.
"Don't even think about it," Mr. Amasawa said to him, "If you even use One for All now, it wouldn't get you anywhere. You would just be helping me get out of this damn spell book."
"So you are stuck in this spell book," Midoriya said back, "How did you end up stuck like this? And why are you doing this?"
Mr. Amasawa seemed a little annoyed to be talking about this with a student from U.A. He went on with it anyway since Midoriya couldn't go anywhere.
"If you must know, Sakura did this," Mr. Amasawa explained to him, "She found out what I was planning on doing with her magic, so she cursed me into this spell book. She figured that it was good payback for containing her into a necklace."
Midoriya's eyes widened in shock, realizing that Uraraka must've been communicating with Sakura somehow. That's why she's been acting weird ever since he met up with her this morning. Midoriya didn't think that this spell book and necklace would ever lead to this. Something about this really mad Midoriya's blood boil. The thought of him doing this to Sakura really made him wish he could punch through this mirror.
"Why would you ever try to contain your wife's magic? She's someone that you would protect and take care of, not contain for your selfish gain!" Midoriya cried out.
"She was never my wife. That was just some story that old man tells everyone that comes inside his shop," Mr. Amasawa explained to him, "She was just a someone that I met and became close with. I saw the potential with her when I met her in a garden. I always had a feeling that there were fairies around, something about them intrigued my interest. Something so powerful and yet so small. I just had to get my hands on one, so I made a garden to lure at least one over. Soon enough, I met Sakura. She was so beautiful and stunning that I couldn't look away from her. I knew right away that there was something special about her."
Midoriya gave him such a glare that it rivaled Mr. Aizawa's. He wouldn't stop glaring at him as he kept going on and on about his girlfriend. Something about it really bothered Midoriya. He tried so hard to use One for All, but he couldn't even activate it. All he could do was bang on the mirror and clench his fists in anger.
"So... You just wanted to use her... All you ever wanted was her power..." Midoriya growled at him, "You never cared about her... Sakura's just someone that you dragged into your mess... You have no right to do that to her...!"
Mr. Amasawa looked up at him in a way that made him flinch on the spot.
"Aren't you not doing the same thing?" Mr. Amasawa asked him.
Midoriya's eyes widened in shock, but then shook it off and faced him head on.
"O-Of course not! I would never do that to someone!" Midoriya cried out.
"What about Ochaco? She's your girlfriend, and from what I can tell, you drag her into all sorts of messes. You're even going to the same school as me, and I can see similarities to you and me. The way you analyze things and try to figure things out. That's how I come up with spells and charms. You may not have meant to use the spell book, but you were tempted to use it. Hell, you even used it get back at your friend. He even pointed out that you needed to take care of this mess yourself," Mr. Amasawa explained to him.
Midoriya shook his fists, trying not to let him to get him all riled up. That's exactly what he wanted. But he felt his fists clenching in annoyance, feeling the need to punch the mirror. He slammed them into the mirror, but it didn't do anything. Mr. Amasawa stood there with a smirk across his face. All Midoriya could see was his smile looking back at him.
"We may be similar, but I would never do any of these on purpose. That's the difference between you and me. I would never use anyone to get power. I actually care about my friends and appreciate them. Me and Ochaco, we actually look out for each other and support one another. You and Sakura, she might've actually liked you, and you probably didn't even see it. You were so busy trying to take her magic," Midoriya said back at him with a piercing glare, "She doesn't deserve any of this! You need to let her go!"
Mr. Amasawa gave him a smirk, and Midoriya knew full well that he wasn't letting her go any time soon. Neither was he going anywhere.
He soon leaned down to grab the spell book out of his backpack, sending chills down Midoriya's back. Mr. Amasawa raised his hand, causing it to glow pink and green. Midoriya felt like something was wrong as felt the energy coming out of the spell book. It was being absorbed into Mr. Amasawa, but Midoriya couldn't go anywhere. He felt a little sluggish and tried to reach out to One for All. He couldn't even feel it at this point as Mr. Amasawa tried to do some sort of magic.
Midoriya leaned onto the mirror, feeling a little weak.
"Wha-What... What're you doing to me?" Midoriya asked him, "I-I can't... I can't feel my quirk..."
"I may not be able to leave this spell book, but I can trade places with you," Mr. Amasawa said to him, "I just needed someone powerful enough to do so. Luckily, that old man gave the spell book to you. I made sure that the spell book got enough energy to trade places by taking away some of your quirk. I've gotta say, this quirk of yours is pretty special. Thank you Izuku for getting me out of here."
Midoriya's eyes widened in horror as he banged on the mirror over and over again. He kept trying to punch his way, but it didn't do anything. He needed help. Uraraka and Iida, he needed someone to help him out of this situation. He couldn't do this without them. He couldn't even contact them through the spell book somehow. He felt weak as Mr. Amasawa took control of the spell book and soon flipped through the pages with his hands spread out.
Then Midoriya realized that he was the one flipping through the pages for him. He was trying to get him out of there all along.
Midoriya looked up to see his own eyes looking like a mix of pink and green as it glowed subtly.
"Sorry Izuku, but you're not getting out of this mess."
In Class 1-A's classroom...
Uraraka and Iida waited in the classroom for Midoriya. Everyone seemed worried about him as they wondered where he was. Class hadn't even started yet. Uraraka was worried about him and didn't what to do. She sat with Iida, and even he didn't know where he might've gone. He said that he didn't feel good, so he could've gone to the restroom for a while.
Uraraka noticed Sakura in the corner of the room, looking a little worried about him. She wanted to help him, but even she didn't know where he was. Uraraka could tell that Sakura was worried what Mr. Amasawa's spell book was doing to him. She wondered if he was planning on doing something with Midoriya, which made her want to run after him.
"Uraraka. Don't worry so much," Iida said to her, "I'm sure he'll show up any minute. It's not like him to miss class."
Uraraka looked at him, and she could tell that he was just as worried as her. He smiled at her, hoping that would soothe her a bit. She smiled back, hoping that he would relax as well. She looked down at her necklace and felt like there was something off about it. She didn't know what it was that was bothering her, but something about the magic that contained the necklace felt a little stronger.
Before she could think about some more, the door slid open to reveal Midoriya. Uraraka instantly stood up and ran over to him. She didn't even care about that weird energy coming off of him and hugged him tightly. He didn't expect her to hug him and let her hug him for a good while.
"Izuku! Don't scare me like that!" Uraraka said to him, "We all worried sick about you!"
Uraraka let go of him and looked at his face. Her eyes widened in shock when she noticed how different he felt. Something about him felt more like that weird shop that they entered. That same energy was all around him, giving her chills all over her body. It felt really unnerving as she backed away from him. The way he looked at her also gave her an uncomfortable feeling. He even looked at her necklace, which made her really nervous for some reason.
"Midoriya! We were all so worried about you, man," Kirishima said to him.
"Yeah. Where were you?" Sero asked him.
Midoriya for a moment just stared at Uraraka's necklace like it might do something magical or unnatural. Uraraka felt like she needed to get away from him. She just hoped that he still couldn't see Sakura in the room. She wanted to look at her for some answers, but she didn't want to give her away.
"I'm fine. I just didn't feel very good," Midoriya said back without looking at anyone else.
Uraraka noticed that he sensed something about her. Something about his eyes told her that he knew something that he shouldn't. Uraraka noticed that he was looking through her and only at the necklace and magic. It gave her such a heart breaking feeling that she had never felt before. He looked at her like all he cared about was the magic that she had on. Maybe even her quirk, which made her feel much worse.
Midoriya walked up to her, making Uraraka take a step back. Something about his gaze made her a little uncomfortable, which never usually happened with Midoriya. She knew that something wasn't right as he kept walking towards her.
"I-Izuku. Wh-What are you doing?" Uraraka asked him, "Whatever's going on with you, you need to give me that spell book. Let me help you."
Midoriya walked up to her, and all Uraraka could do was stare at him. Before she knew it, he grabbed her backpack and ripped it off of her. Uraraka's eyes widened in shock when she realized that he knew what had happened to her. Everyone's jaws dropped when they saw Uraraka sprouting wings out of her back. Her jacket came undone when he took it off, causing them to poke out even more. Her eyes were wide from shock that Midoriya even knew about this.
"Ur-Uraraka?!" Class 1-A cried out in unison.
"You've got wings?! How did this happen?!" Ashido cried out.
"It's that necklace! Isn't it?!" Iida cried back, "I knew this necklace would do something, but not to this extent! Why didn't you tell us?!"
Uraraka looked at all of them, and then back at Midoriya. Something about this moment made her realize that he was trying to redirect everyone's attention onto her. His eyes never left her as he stared at her necklace. Her wings poked out of her jacket and shirt in a weird way that didn't allow it to pop out naturally.
"I-I'm sorry, but now is not the time for any of this!" Uraraka cried out and then turned over to Midoriya, "Izuku, what's going on with you?! You knew about these wings! I know you know about Sakura, don't you?! You kept that from me when you knew it was important information!"
Midoriya's eyes widen in shock, and Uraraka didn't notice something come over him. He clenched his fists in frustation as he stared at her necklace.
"Sakura is a fairy and is stuck in this stupid necklace because of that Mr. Amasawa guy! Don't deny it, you knew about it and didn't tell me! Why would you keep that kind of secret from me?!" Uraraka cried out.
She waited for an answer, but didn't get anything out of him. Everyone stood there, watching Uraraka argue with him. Iida didn't even dare get involved.
"Ochaco... This has nothing to do with you," Midoriya said back.
Uraraka's eyes widened in shock, feeling really throw off by his choice of words. Her necklace began to glow, and it was pretty intense. Something about the way he said it made her even more annoyed with him.
"Are you serious?! Izuku, what is going on with you?! You feel... different. Ever since you used that spell book, you've been acting really weird," Uraraka pointed out, "Please don't tell me that you actually trust this spell book?! That Mr. Amasawa guy doesn't care about Sakura, and you know it! She even cursed him into one of his spell books! He deserved it for what he did to Sakura!"
"That's enough!" Midoriya cried out, surprising everyone, "You know nothing about what's going on, so what gives you the right to accuse this Mr. Amasawa guy?! This spell book... It's what can get that necklace off of you. Don't you want that? Because I could just leave it alone. I don't have to do anything. Besides..."
Midoriya got closer to her, making her uncomfortable.
"It makes you look even more beautiful with that necklace on," Midoriya said to her, making her freeze in place, "Even those wings... They look very nice on you. Who knows, you might actually like being a fairy."
Everyone froze in place, not sure how to deal with this situation. Even Uraraka wasn't sure how to respond to this.
"I-Izuku... You don't actually mean that, right? You've gotta get this off," Uraraka said back, "Then we can go on a date together. Do you whatever you want. We can even go see that new movie coming out soon! Just... Please... I need you."
Something about that moment caught Midoriya's attention. Uraraka thought she got through to him finally. His eyes seemed off, and she couldn't tell what it was that seemed weird. In the light, she thought she saw pink and green in his eyes for a moment. She stiffened up, not sure what that meant exactly. Uraraka walked up to him, feeling something coming over him. She looked over at his backpack that he was wearing. She couldn't reach his spell book, but still had to do something to help him.
"Izuku. Please," Uraraka said back as she placed her hand on top of his, "I can't do this without you."
Midoriya pulled away from her, which broke her heart. Something about the look in his eyes didn't feel like him in that moment.
"Sorry Sakura, but I'm not sure that I can help you," Midoriya said back.
Before anyone could react, Midoriya left the classroom with his spell book in his backpack. Uraraka stood there, her eyes wide from shock. Everyone didn't understand what just happened as they watched Midoriya leave Uraraka behind. All she could do stand there, staring at where he stood. Something about the way he said it really bothered her, but then she realized that he had called her Sakura.
"Did Midoriya just call you Sakura?" Kaminari pointed out just in time.
Everyone didn't know what that meant, but Uraraka definitely knew one thing.
She had to get that spell book away from Midoriya.
