Amina Zainabu, better known as Zypher, is a fierce warrior of the Zaki, a subclan of the Lin Kuei to stretch their influence across the region of Africa, their headquarters hidden away in the Aïr Mountains of Niger. With Sub-Zero becoming Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei, a regime change soon followed that was widely accepted as a far more suitable replacement when compared to Oniro's twisted reign that had divided many former members into subclans. As Sub-Zero brought most of the subclans together, these groups now proud to represent the Lin Kuei once more, the Zaki remained an anomaly, choosing to uphold its independence. An old friend of Oniro, the Zaki Grandmaster was less than thrilled at the change. Slowly diminishing contact with Sub-Zero's clan, the Zaki Grandmaster has gone on to privately train the next generation of Zaki. Amina was the head of her class, quickly rising the ranks at a rate that no Zaki had ever achieved before. Whilst her success was mostly attributed to pure skill, Amina was aided by a cybersuit, armour constructed by the Zaki Grandmaster using scraps from prototypes of the Cyber Iniative that Oniro had demonstrated in his last visit to Niger. Under the alias of Zypher, Amina has put her years of training to use by combating crime throughout her home country. As proud as she is to serve her country and clan, Amina still has dreams of one day becoming Lin Kuei. With advertisements of the Lin Kuei looking for new initiates exposing their location, Amina now knew where to contact the clan. Going against her master's wishes, Amina contacts the clan in hopes of joining the Lin Kuei and mending their bond with the Zaki...
