Shark Tale has always been one of my favorite animated films to watch ever since childhood and I still enjoy watching the movie so much, and since I love Shark Tale so much, I decided to do a whole twenty four-part miniseries version of the movie that serves as a whole retelling of the movie which is known as When A Little Fish Tells A Great White Lie that has brand new scenes, brand new characters, brand new locations, different dialogue. Episode 5: One Problem After Another
Chapter 2: So Unbelievable
Back at the meeting room where the meetings of the Five Families of the Atlantic Ocean that consists of the great white shark mafia, the leopard shark mafia, the hammerhead shark mafia, the leopard shark mafia, the killer whale mafia, and the swordfish mafia, Don Edward Lino continues to have a meeting with his best friends Don Ira Feinberg, Don Barbara Veltroni, Don Phillip Salvatore, and Don Judith Hicks all about the latest crime spree being committed by the criminal organization of the Atlantic Ocean which was the oil spill arson which took place at five different kinds of neighborhoods in the Southside Reef from that very morning that lead most of the area to be severely damaged and many people who lived in the neighborhoods to be hospitalized in over to recover from the whole incident.
Also, besides having the whole meeting about how the oil spill arson which proved to be very successful that had left some of the neighborhoods of Southside Reef which are five neighborhoods which were Marilem, Pelagic Square, Seawich Village, Littoriton Heights, and Verge's Kitchen in a complete wreck from the severe oil spill damage and left many people who all live in those five neighborhoods to be sent to the hospital to recover from the oil spill effect, Don Lino also have a meeting with Don Feinberg, Don Veltroni, Don Salvatore, and Don Hicks about Lenny's gentle behavior lately and how Teresa has always encouraged Lenny to be so gentle, and how he is intending to have Frankie to teach Lenny on how to be a proper shark with Teresa's help which will be after he receives some practicing from Frankie to do so.
Soon, just as the whole meeting between Don Lino and his four best friends Don Veltroni, Don Feinberg, Don Salvatore, and Don Hicks continues at the meeting room of the RMS Titanic which is usually being carried about by the members of the Five Families of the Atlantic Ocean, each of the spouses of the crime bosses of the Five Families which are Mildred who is Don Lino's wife, Giuseppe who is Don Veltroni's husband, Esther who is Don Feinberg's wife, Odette who is Don Salvatore's wife, and Roland who is Don Hicks' husband as well as Don Lino' two loyal henchmen Luca and Yvette suddenly enter the meeting room, and they all inform them all about how things have turned out lately which is Lenny's refusal to kill anything and Teresa always encouraging Lenny to be so different from the other sharks which greatly dismayed Mildred so much since she strongly supported Lenny's decision on how to be just himself as much as Teresa, her parents-in-law Leonardo and Shelly who are Don Lino's parents, and anybody else would in the whole Lino crime family.
"Salutations, Edward, my love." Mildred greeted.
"Hello, Mildred, my dear." Don Lino greeted.
"So, how's your meeting going so far?" asked Mildred.
"Oh, it's going so well and we just got finished
"That's really great to hear about." said Mildred.
"Also, what about your own kids, Boss?" asked Luca.
"Yeah, Boss, how did you do with your children?" asked Yvette.
"It went so well too, including my best friends' own kids as well." said Don Lino.
"That's right." said Don Feinberg.
"For sure," said Don Veltroni.
"Yes." said Don Salvatore.
"Absolutely." said Don Hicks.
"Happy to hear about that as well." said Mildred.
"Me too." said Esther
"So am I." said Giuseppe.
"Same here," said Odette.
"Count me in as well," said Roland.
"We're amazed to hear about it as well," said Yvette.
"That's right, we are very amazed about it." said Luca.
"Mmm-hmm, it was alright, it wasn't that alright I've just learned from Frankie that Lenny refused to carry out the crime spree and Teresa didn't even do it either." replied Don Lino.
"Edward, are you serious about what you just said? Seriously?" asked Mildred in surprise.
"Yes, and sinceLenny and Teresa are still doing what they've always done, Frankie is gonna give Lenny practice before the lessons could start, which is tomorrow instead," said Don Lino.
"Wait a minute. You've decided to have Frankie tutoring Lenny on how to be a proper shark with Teresa's help on the next day?" asked Mildred.
Don Lino nodded his head. "I've decided to move it on the next day, and Lenny really needs the practice that he needs to become a killer before the lessons for him to learn how to be a proper shark with Frankie's tutorings along with Teresa's help. If the tutorings is gonna start, then it must be tomorrow so Lenny would get some practicing first."
"I thought it was gonna be today after the latest crime spree of Southside Reef which is gonna be the oil spill arson," said Mildred.
"It was gonna be, Mildred, but I decided to move it tomorrow anyway in order to have Frankie give him some practice on how to be a killer which is gonna be later on today." said Don Lino.
"Are you sure you wanna do it on the next day instead of on this day, Edward?" asked Teresa.
"Yes, and that's 'cause of what just happened this morning," said Don Lino.
"Frankie doesn't really have to give Lenny practice on how to be a killer and Teresa doesn't have to help him out with that task either." said Mildred.
"Oh, yes, he does, and this is a good opportunity for myself and the whole Lino crime family if Lenny finally becomes a killer and Teresa starts encouraging him to be a killer." said Don Lino.
"But what about Lenny's own opportunity and Teresa's own opportunity, huh?" asked Mildred. "You should at least think about their own opportunities rather than giving the opportunities you and the rest of our crime family has always expected them to do, even when you discovered Lenny did something that sharks wouldn't usually do."
"It was when I witnessed Lenny save some baby crabs from a net that came from the surface of the Atlantic Ocean and help them reunite with their parents in the wastelands." said Don Lino.
"True, and even his own little sister Teresa has helped him with helping those crabs out in the wastelands when they needed it and it was really kind of them to do so." replied Mildred.
"What our son and daughter did was many years ago when they used to be pups, but that
"An outrage?!" asked Mildred in shock. Don Lino nodded. "Edward, how could you say…" She tried to explain, but Don Lino interrupted her.
"They were supposed to make those crabs the catch of the day just like any shark would, but they end up helping them out to be free from that net years ago." said Don Lino. "Look, I've been hearing things about Lenny being so gentle lately while he wouldn't do anything to commit any crimes at all and how Teresa has always encouraged him while she would just commit the crime of theft in order to leave people unharmed during the crime spree, and Frankie has always been one of the best cold-blooded killers in the whole mafia and he's so much willing to commit more crimes than his brother and sister would."
"You know, your own husband has a point, Mildred." said Don Feinberg.
"He's absolutely right about what he just explained," said Don Veltroni.
"Frankie is such a skilled killer and always has been, which is a good thing." said Don Salvatore.
"But Lenny really needs to learn how to be that with Teresa's encouragement." said Don Hicks
"So, we all think it's for the best for Lenny to follow the traditions of the whole crime family for once which will make a difference for everybody." said Luca.
"That's right, and Teresa needs to do more crimes besides always committing theft for the sake of the safety of others and needs to encourage Lenny to follow the traditions too." said Yvette.
"Guys, you can't be serious about what you said about Lenny and Teresa," said Mildred in shock.
"Just like I said from before, I am serious about what I said about our kids, and you should expect the fact that Lenny shall be a killer just like my parents should." said Don Lino.
"Will you please just…." said Mildred just as she tried to explain again, but Don Lino interrupted her again.
"So, once Lenny has become a killer like he's supposed to and Teresa will start encouraging him to be a killer like she's supposed to, then everything will go so well at long last." said Don Lino.
"But do you think that it's actually such a good idea for our son and daughter for the sake of yourself and the rest of our family?" asked Mildred.
"Yes, and it's a good idea for me and for everybody else who's part of this family, including myself since I'm the one who's in charge of the mafia for so long." said Don Lino.
"Edward, I know you're the one who's the boss of this whole mafia, but both Lenny and Teresa don't really have to go through with what you've always expected them to do." said Mildred.
"I'm not gonna repeat myself about this, Mildred, and I don't have to repeat myself to our son and daughter about this either." said Don Lino. "Lenny is gonna be a proper shark whenever he likes it or not and Teresa is gonna encourage Lenny on being a proper shark whenever she likes it or not, and I'm the one who decides what's best for them since I'm their father."
"I know and I decide what's best for them since I'm their mother, but you really need to understand that you should at least reconsider all of this." said Mildred.
"What are you trying to say?" asked Don Lino in surprise.
"I'm saying that you used to have a really heartwarming bond with our son and daughter as much as you did with our oldest son when they used to be young, dear." said Mildred. "Since you had that very loving relationship with our children when they used to be shark pups as much as I did, your parents did, and anybody else did, I suggest that you should at least support their own decisions for once as much as I did and anybody else did, including your parents Leonardo and Shelly. Maybe Lenny being so different couldn't prove to be such a problem for the crime family after all and maybe Teresa always encouraging Lenny to be so different can't be a problem for the family either, and…and you really need to see that. So, Edward, please understand that neither Lenny and Teresa doesn't really have to go through with what you expected them to do along with Frankie. Please."
"Mildred, I'm fully aware of all of those things that have been turning out throughout all those years," said Don Lino. "I know the close relationship I had with our three children ever since they used to be young along with you, my parents Leonardo and Shelly, and anybody else in the mafia, but I still insist of what I've always insist them on doing ever since I just discovered what they did in the wasteland when they rescued those young crabs from that net and reunited them with their parents many years ago. Lenny is gonna learn how to be a proper shark and Teresa is gonna encourage him to do so while she will commit more crimes besides theft, and Frankie is gonna give Lenny the tutoring he needs on how to be a shark after he receives some practicing with Teresa's help. All of it is gonna change, and when it does, it will prove to be a good opportunity for everybody in the mafia, especially myself since I'm the current Don, Mildred."
Upon hearing her husband Don Lino still insists that Lenny should become a killer and that Teresa should encourage Lenny to be a killer as well as commit more crimes besides stealing things all the time in order to leave the citizens of Southside Reef unharmed during the crime sprees committed by the great white shark mafia as well as the rest of the Five Families of the Atlantic Ocean which will Lenny receive some of the tutoring of Frankie who will also give Lenny some practicing with Teresa's help on the next day due to what just happened on the oil spill arson from earlier that day, Mildred became filled with dejection and disbelief over the fact that Don Lino isn't listening to a word she's trying to say to him and wishes that he would just accept Lenny for who he is rather than trying to force him to be a killer just like Frankie and accept Teresa's decision to encourage him to be who he is just as she heavily sighed in depression.
Just as Mildred became greatly depressed over how much Don Lino isn't listening to her and is still forcing Lenny to be a killer against his own will and still forcing Lenny to become a killer against her own will, Don Lino suddenly noticed how depressed she came along with his two henchmen Luca and Yvette and his four best friends who are the other crime bosses of the Five Families Don Feinberg, Don Veltroni, Don Salvatore, and Don Hicks, and they all became filled with surprised by how she became very depressed over Don Lino keep insisting that Lenny should follow the tradition of being a cold-blooded killer and insisting that Teresa should encourage him to do so while Don Lino honestly couldn't believe that his wife insisted that he should just accept Lenny for who he is and support Teresa's decision to encourage him to just be himself while he still insists that they should do what he always insisted them on doing, even though he still wants what's best for them.
Meanwhile, back at Southside Reef in the afternoon, at the Seashell Plaza which is located at one of the neighborhoods of the reef which is known as Marilem, Oscar has already arrived back there and he is now at the rooftop of the apartment where he is having a conversation with Sykes and his two henchmen Ernie and Bernie at one of the tables about how he is being left off the hook for failing to pay back Sykes with the 5,000 clams like he's supposed to in order to get out of debt with him due to all of the get-rich-quick schemes that he has been pulling off at the Whale Wash lately and ended up being delayed due to the members of the great white shark mafia patrolling the wastelands for some intruders, and even Oscar's three childhood best friends Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina are part of the whole conversation as well and they honestly couldn't believe that Oscar had eventually screwed the money up on betting one of the seahorses of the seahorse racetrack of Southside Reef Lucky Day to win the race who ended up losing the race to Fish Fingers and costs Sykes his 5,000 clams for sure.
Also, during the conversation about how Oscar has ended up screwing up the 5 grand on Lucky Day to win the race at the Southside Reef Seahorse Racetrack earlier on that day and earning some well-deserved scolding from his three best friends Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina as well as Sykes and his two henchmen Ernie and Bernie for his latest poor decision, Oscar informs all of them the main reason why he ended up betting the money on Lucky Day to win the race is because he has been blinded by his own dreams of becoming rich and famous in order to be a somebody who will be respected by others, and he wished that he would just rather pay back Sykes with the 5 grand like he's supposed to and he now plans on somehow making up for the 5 grand that he owed Sykes which he quickly accepts as well as somehow buying Angie her pearl back from the Prawn Shop since it means to her so much and he's being able to buy it back whenever he wanted to.
Even though Oscar is being left off the off hook since his punishment for failing to pay back Sykes with the 5 grand due to the sharks being on the patrol in the wastelands of the Atlantic Ocean, he will still have to face punishment on some other time when the sharks are not patrolling around the wastelands for their prey that serve as intruders of the area which could be on the next day, and even Oscar expresses deep remorse for failing on what he needed to do in order to get out of his situation right away just as he apologizes to everybody for what he did, and Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina express their sympathy towards him for the whole main reason why he did it in the first place is because of what he has been through during his childhood and strongly wishes to become rich and famous in order to get the respect that he yearns for which they attempt to urge Sykes and his two henchmen to at least show sympathy of what Oscar intends on doing for himself which they already understands very well.
"What?!" exclaimed Nelson.
"Seriously?!" exclaimed Sabrina.
"Oscar has bet the money on Lucky Day to win the seahorse race?!" exclaimed Angie.
"That's right. Lucky Day was about to win the race, but he ended up losing to Fish Fingers." said Ernie.
"Because of Oscar and his own foolishness, he ended up losing Sykes his 5,000 clams for sure." said Bernie.
"It was totally unbelievable what Oscar did and we all know that he has totally unbelievable things from before." said Sykes.
"True, Oscar can prove to make very reckless decisions sometimes and those kinds of decisions end up failing, even when it comes to get-rich-quick schemes." said Angie.
"Which is very exasperating 'cause he would do anything to make himself rich and famous in the process, and it's usually taken place at the Whale Wash where he works at." said Sabrina.
"Also, we've been dealing with his very exasperating schemes of trying to become so rich for so long at the Whale Wash, and he also has been doing it during childhood too." said Nelson.
"Oh, and not only we've been dealing with his schemes, we know that you and everybody else at the Whale Wash has, even when Oscar has been working there." said Angie.
"Yes, and honestly, it's getting on my nerves as much as it's getting on your fellow co-workers' nerves and he could just give it a rest already," said Sykes.
"That's right." said Bernie.
"For sure," said Ernie.
"You've been doing so many get-rich-quick schemes for so many years, and it's part of the recklessness that you would usually do," said Angie.
"Okay, okay, okay. I already know that." said Oscar. "I can be very reckless and all of the get-rich-quick schemes I kept pulling off throughout the years at the Whale Wash as well as when I used to be a little kid which makes you guys and anybody else feel so exasperated over it, but I honestly couldn't help myself at all, even what I've been through when I used to be a kid."
"We already know that all 'cause you would always tell us that since childhood, but you could've at least paid back Sykes with what you owed him like you were supposed to." replied Angie.
"We honestly can't believe that you ended up betting on the money for one of the seahorses of the race for them to win the race." replied Nelson.
"Yeah, you totally screwed up the 5,000 clams for sure and that was totally unbelievable too, just like the other things you did in the past are so unbelievable." replied Sabrina.
"Guys, I am so sorry for screwing up with the 5 clams that I owed Sykes, but I ended up getting blinded by what I've been planning
"What do you mean by that, Oscar?" asked Angie in surprise.
"I mean I got distracted by what I've always dreamed so much of, and that's becoming a somebody and being respected by others by living a life of luxury," said Oscar.
"Well, that kind of reason is really a good reason why you ended up making that reckless decision at the seahorse racetrack in the first place." said Angie.
"Yeah, and I wish I could've just give Sykes the 5,000 clams like he was supposed to
"We wish for the same thing too, but you really shouldn't let your own recklessness get the best of you at all just like it sometimes does." said Sabrina.
"Things could've gone so well on what you needed to do, but you ended up letting your reckless act get in the way which sometimes got in the way before." said Nelson.
"I know. Look, I'm really sorry for what I did. I really am and I really wanna make up for it somehow." said Oscar.
"Wait a minute? You really wanna make up for screwing up with my 5 grand at the seahorse racetrack from earlier?" asked Sykes in surprise.
Oscar nodded. "I'll try to get another brand new 5 grand in order to replace the one that I foolishly bet on at the racetrack for Lucky Day to win."
"Thank you very much, Oscar, I appreciate it very much, and by the way, you better make sure you make it up to me or else 'cause I really need it very much." said Sykes. "Not only it's gonna get you out of debt, it will pay Don Lino the protection money that I need in order to keep the Whale Wash safe from him and his mafia since it's now a victim of owing them protection money for the sake of the safety of a local business in Southside Reef right after I got fired."
"Alright, Sykes, I already know that, and I promise I'll make sure to give you the brand new 5 grand for the safety of the Whale Wash from Lino and his mafia." said Oscar. "Oh, and Angie, about that pearl that I used to get the 5 grand at Jim Prawn's Pawn Shop from earlier, I'll buy it back from there too."
"Is that what you really mean?" asked Angie.
"Mmm-hmm, and I will do the best that I can to buy back your pearl from the Pawn Shop 'cause I know how much that pearl really means to you very much." replied Oscar.
"True, and it's 'cause the pearl was a gift from my grandmother at Christmas during childhood together and thanks for your decision to do that kind of thing, Oscar." said Angie.
"Oscar, it's very kind of you to make the decision to buy back the pearl for Angie since it has been a Christmas gift from her own grandmother when we used to be children." said Sabrina.
"Yes, and deciding to do that is one of the kindest things you would ever do even though you prove to make some poor decisions in your life." said Nelson.
"You know, what you just said about me is very true, guys." said Oscar. "Even though I can be very reckless sometimes and not make the best decisions, I really care about others and their own well-being very much, especially my own best friends that I've always known since childhood and value you guys so much ever since we first became friends at Pisces Elementary School."
"We know that Oscar, and we value our friendship with you too." said Angie.
"That's what friends do for each other all the time and it's what it's for." said Sabrina.
"And that's one of the main things of friendship 'cause that's how it goes." said Nelson.
"Look, I promise to make up for the 5 grand that I owe Sykes somehow and buy back the pearl from the Prawn Shop too. It's all gonna happen and I really promise that." said Oscar.
"Awesome." said Sabrina.
"Fantastic." said Nelson.
"Wonderful," said Angie.
"Such a great idea, Oscar. Oh, and while you've made those decisions even though you can , you're still gonna have to face punishment for failing on what you need to do." said Sykes.
"Okay, Sykes, and I am willing to go through with the punishment for my foolish act at the seahorse racetrack even though it's gonna be in the painful way." said Oscar.
"Since Ernie and Bernie had already told me everything that the wastelands are under the patrol of the sharks, the punishment is gonna be moved to tomorrow." said Sykes. "When the sharks are not on patrol throughout the wastelands."
"Also, we still can't wait to teach you a really harsh lesson for what you did at the racetrack," said Ernie.
"That's right, you're really gonna pay for screwing up with what you owe Sykes, Oscar." said Bernie.
"Let's be prepared for what's gonna turn out tomorrow and I promise for it to happen, but there's something I really need to do. Now excuse me." said Oscar.
After receiving some well-deserved scolding from his three childhood best friends Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina as well as his boss Sykes and his two henchmen Ernie and Bernie for screwing up with the 5,000 clams by ending up betting it on Lucky Day to win the seahorse race when he ended up being blinded by his own dreams of becoming rich and famous in order to be a somebody and be respected by others after what he has been through during childhood, Oscar then gets up from the bench and leaves the top of the roof of the Seashell Plaza in complete depression while his three best friends Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina as well as Sykes, Ernie, and Bernie watches him leave in complete surprise just as Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina began to feel very bad for Oscar of what he has been through
"Whoa. Why did Oscar leave all of a sudden?" asked Sykes in surprise.
"Yeah, mon, what's that about?" asked Ernie in surprise.
"What's with him anyway, mon." asked Bernie in surprise.
"We think the reason why he left, Sykes," said Angie.
"Well, what is it?" asked Sykes.
"It's actually of what he has been through during childhood, and it was when he got made fun of by his own classmates for admiring his father's job as a tongue scrubber," said Sabrina.
"Ever since he has been mocked by his classmates for looking up to his father's job at the Whale Wash, he suffered a traumatization that hurt him so much." said Nelson.
"Really? Wow, I've always been aware of what happened to Oscar during childhood and that's 'cause you would tell me all about it." said Sykes.
"Yes, and after that experience he dealt with, he thinks that the only way he could ever be respected is by becoming rich and famous." said Angie.
"True, and it explains all of those get-rich-quick schemes he's been pulling off lately," said Sykes.
"It's something Oscar has been trying to tell you, but we've been telling you that ourselves for so long." said Nelson.
"But Oscar should at least focus on doing his work as a tongue scrubber at the Whale Wash and that's all he'll ever be as long as he works there." said Sykes.
"Sykes, you should at least cut him some slack just like our co-workers at the Whale Wash for what he's planning which is finally being noticed by others," said Sabrina.
"Yeah, even though Oscar could have some foolish moments and make poor decisions, he has a motivation of being noticed which we show sympathy for as anybody else would." said Nelson.
"That kind of thing does make sense for somebody, especially when they dealt with something that is very traumatizing." said Sykes.
"Also, besides what he has been through during childhood, not even our co-workers at the Whale Wash doesn't show him that much respect either." said Angie.
"I can already see that 'cause you always had told me and your fellow co-workers about what Oscar has been through during childhood," said Sykes.
"Well, we know that you and your two henchmen Ernie and Bernie don't show Oscar that much respect either as much as anybody else would." replied Angie.
"That's right, and it's mostly because of the job that he is stuck with right now which is being a tongue scrubber that proves to be the least popular job at the Whale Wash." replied Sykes.
"Actually, being a tongue scrubber is something Oscar is very good at, and you're right, it's not that very popular but Oscar has worked so hard on the job," said Angie. "Deep down, Oscar enjoys having a such unpopular job at the Whale Wash, and since we've been telling you that, you should at least understand of what Oscar has been through from childhood
"Well, alright. Ernie, Bernie, and I understand that already and know Oscar has been working hard, but look on the bright side." said Sykes.
"What bright side?" asked Angie in surprise.
"Oscar might be promoted for all of his hard work being at such an unpopular job as a tongue scrubber at the Whale Wash." said Sykes. "Who knows? He will be promoted someday, but from now on, he's stuck being a tongue scrubber who still owes me 5 grand, even after he screwed it all up by betting it on Lucky Day to win the race which he ends up losing the race while Fish Fingers end up winning the race. What a shame for him to bet on my 5,00 clams which he ended up losing after Lucky Day lost the race, and it's also a shame that he's stuck at the least popular job at the Whale Wash while he is still praised for all of the hard work he has done so far at the Whale Wash."
Then, Sykes and his two jellyfish henchmen Ernie and Bernie laughed mockingly over how Oscar is currently stuck having a job as a tongue scrubber at the Whale Wash which proves to be the least popular job at the Whale Wash ever and is still in debt with Sykes for 5,000 clams even after he failed paying him back at the seahorse racetrack for Lucky Day to win the race while they still praise him for all of the hard work he has done as a tongue scrubber so far which will eventually earn him a promotion someday, and they don't even show Oscar that much respect due to being a tongue scrubber at the Whale Wash even though they do show some sympathy towards Oscar of what he has been through during childhood as much as anybody else would when they would hear all about it, but they still don't show any respect for him at all due to being a tongue scrubber even though all of the hard work he has done.
Upon seeing how much Sykes and his two henchmen Ernie and Bernie still doesn't show that much respect towards Oscar for being a tongue scrubber at the Whale Wash even though they do praise him for all of his hard work which will lead him to a promotion one of those days and show some sympathy towards him of what he has been through during childhood when he got cruelly mocked by his classmates for admiring his father's job at the Whale Wash as a tongue scrubber, Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina continued to feel very bad for Oscar just as they sympathize him and his main motivation of being a somebody and being respected by others very much, even since they have been best friends since childhood, and they all wish that Oscar would understand that he really doesn't have to become rich and famous to make his lifelong dream of being a somebody come true at all.
Back inside of the Seashell Plaza, Oscar traveled throughout the hallways of the apartment building for a moment and went back inside of his and Nelson's apartment where he went inside of his bedroom and picked up a very old photo frame that shows him as a young child along with his parents Earl and Regina when they used to be a live during his childhood, and just as he began staring at the photo of himself as a child and his late two parents, he still praises his father's hard work as a tongue scrubber when he used to work at the whale wash during his own childhood many years ago, but he still has his deep insecurities about being a nobody after what he has been through and still intends on becoming rich and famous in order to become a somebody just like he has always dreamed about.
"Oh, Dad. You have always been the greatest at your job as a tongue scrubber many years ago." said Oscar. "And I was amazed by it as much as Mom, my friends Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina, and anybody else would, including your co-workers at the Whale Wash. However, even though you've always been the best tongue scrubber ever and always received employee of the month awards because of it, it doesn't prove to be very popular to other people 'cause I got made fun of by my classmates at Pisces Elementary School for always looking up to your job. Deep down, I still look up to your job, but nobody loves a nobody anyway and the only way I'll be ever loved is being a somebody who loves at the Top Of Southside Reef where all of the somebodies live. Someday, my dream is gonna come true somehow, and I'll finally get the respect that I yearned for my whole life."
Oscar continues staring at the old photo frame of himself as a young kid along with his parents Earl and Regina before they tragically died sometime for a moment, and then he warmly embraced the old photo frame just as he really misses his parents very much and strongly wishes to become a somebody after the traumatic experience he dealt with during childhood while he still praises all of the hard work his late father has done as a tongue scrubber at the Whale Wash ever since he used to be a little kid, and he he fully aware that his late mother as well as his three best friends Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina praises his late father for his hard work at his job at the Whale Wash when they used to be young together as much as anybody else would.
Also, Oscar is fully aware that even though he express great disgust towards his job as a tongue scrubber which proves to be the least popular job at the Whale Wash ever, he honestly really enjoys the job so much while he has done a lot of hard work being a tongue scrubber which will eventually earn him a promotion someday just like his father did for all of his own hard work, and he even did enjoy watching him remove the green slime off of the tongues of the many sperm whale customers at the Whale Wash when it's for an employee to take their own children to their work time at any local business in Southside Reef.
Just as Oscar embraced the photo frame, he also noticed another old photo frame that shows himself, Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina being together when they used to be children, and he suddenly smiled at the photo just as he has always valued his longtime friendship with Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina very much and cares about them so much, even when he first met them at Pisces Elementary School during their childhood together, and he really appreciates by how much they would always support him and be there for him just like he would always support and be there for them since that's what best friends do for each other all the time.
