Set after season 3, Angel was poisoned sucessfully by Faith but she fell through a portal into a hell dimension before Buffy could secure the win. Buffy then also fell into the same portal 2 days later and is shocked to find the dark slayed over a year older and vastly stronger and calmer then she used to be. Which leads to hunting demon bounties and Buffy discovering herself.

24. Chapter 24 Dawns Secret

Chapter 24: Dawns secret

Persephone was now knocking on the door of Faith and Buffys shared home, nervous for obvious reasons and yet excited to see Dawn once again and this time she would come bearing gifts and not trying to flirt her way into the Brunettes pants. She wanted too but also she just longed to make sure Dawn was safe and had hopefully not over exerted herself too much.

The door swung open and it was Buffy who was confused to see Jeans bar maid at the door and bearing gifts of Nuka cola none the less, Faith had actually forgotten to tell Buffy Persephone would be bringing her drinks as the moment she returned home Dawns side had not been left cold for even a moment. Buffy eagerly took the basket as she was shocked there was a new flavor of Cola and before she could crack one open Persephone asked how Dawn was doing.

"Is Dawn ok? i came to make sure she was fine, can i see her please?" Persephone was so well spoken and gave off such an aire of genuine care that Buffy who could sense intent decided what the hell and told her to go through as she collected some glasses and ice so Faith could try this new flavour also.

"Thanks Mrs Summers, is she in the back there, i can kinda sense her with my magic a little" Persephone hadn't even waited for an answer as she glided across the pristine stone floor and disappeared into the bedroom without knocking and came across a worried Faith who was pacing nervously as Dawn was still out cold.

Jean was long gone and although Faith knew he would make people believe Dawn was doing her job and was heroic about it, she was more worried her own daughter would be so viciously brutal when enraged. she knew her and Buffy possessed a temper but she was thinking it might have been the vampires influence or maybe Al-kufirs and she should spend alot more time in Sunnydale with her schooling and not hunting deadly bounties anymore.

"Hey Faith, hows Dawn doing? oh... still asleep and hey you changed her, that's great those clothes were covered in blood" Persephone walked over towards the bed and sat down next to her and leaned her back against the backboard before placing her hand above Dawns head and she began to use sensory magic to make sure everything was in order.

Faith was now reaching for her gun slowly but stopped as Persephone opened up her eyes with a wide smile and stated with a jovial tone "She's fine, just tired... man i was worried she might actually be injured or something" Persephone was suprised to see Dawn roll over and put her arm across her legs and snuggle her head in tight to her thigh. Faith decided on not reaching for her gun and walked over to her Daughters side.

"She hasn't moved since i layed her down, that sensory magic isn't from this dimension is it... guess Jeans pretty new barkeep has some secrets, well your not the first although you know what happened to the last one right?" Faith raised her eyebrow as Persephone seemed to ponder for a moment and then cringed externally as she remembered.

"Chopped in half by a sandworm on the outskirts... wasn't he selling drugs, that's what The Madame told me right before asking if i'd fancy a night with one of her whores. she never stops trying either... does she do that with everyone?" Persephone asked as Buffy entered the room with a tall glass of the new flavor of Nuka Cola for her and Faith while answering that question in Faiths stead.

"Yeah, she gives up after about 6-8 months... well she never gave up with Faith until i got here so... get a partner or she'll come up with some inventive ways to peddle some strange" The blonde Slayer handed Faith her drink and she sipped it slowly but found the taste to be pleasurable. Buffy also audibly enjoyed the new flavor and told Persephone she'd like to try a few more of these before she could make a final decision on it's place amongst her Nuka Cola rankings.

"Well we do have that new lemon and mint one coming in next month and the cinnamon... but they don't sound good to me... Dawn liked the pomegranite flavour too but man i dunno about the new ones... aww screw it i can mix em if they suck ass" She was shocked Dawns mothers had agreed with her so quickly at the idea and then realised both women were iffy with Cinnamon.

"Buffy likes christmas things but we both hate too much Cinnamon... Dawn is ok with the taste but she likes sweet things the most, ya know like chocolate" Faith hadn't noticed Persephone stroking Dawns hair so lovingly but Buffy had and their internal connection had made it plane to see in a single instant and both women were confused to see Dawn in her deep sleep smile at the touch.

"Well christmas isn't that fun anyway, you come from earth if i remember someone told me, was it Jean or... maybe the outfitters son? it escapes me, I come from a land of gods and men, oh they were terrible so i left and went on an adventure" She smiled sweetly but became confused when Buffy asked her if she knew who Glorificus was and it made her go suddenly blank as she had never heard of such a god.

"Nope, i know of a few like Bacchus and Hestia... Cratus, but no Glorificus, that's an odd name isn't it... bet he's a right self loving cock with a name like that" Persephone enjoyed Buffys laugh as it was quite musical and she was sure she had said something to inspire it but for the life of her she didn't know what.

"Glory is a she, atleast we've heard that she is anyway... she's hunting Dawn but she is safe here and she wont appear until summer next year in Sunnydale anyway..." Faith spoke freely and had a sneaking suspicion Persephone wouldn't like the sound of that one bit and the scowl she soon had posessing her countenance proved her assumption right.

"Why does she want Dawn? her immense magical power perhaps? i mean she's stronger than the first day i met her, but she said that was Rubys enchantments... maybe i should get some too if there's going to be a crazed god on the loose next year" the dark haired lady couldn't help but look worried but the ex-Slayers made their plans clear.

"We have ideas on how to deal with her and by then we'll be strong enough to go punch for punch, plus we're getting really good at magic, Dawns also staying here as Glorificus wont be able to hop dimensions as she will be bound to ours by her godly brothers who trapped her there" Faith had started speaking although Buffy had decided to finish her words for her.

"We were given a heads up, plus the time it takes for her to travel here has given us alot of free time to train, Dawns as strong as we used to be over two years ago now so she'll be able to atleast fend for herself if we die" Buffy took a sip of her drink and seemed to have an idea pop into her head.

"Persephone, you wouldn't mind looking after Dawn would you, i want to grab something to eat with Faith in town and well after everything that happened we havent had the chance to eat, i'll even tell Jean you're free for the whole afternoon and he'll still pay you since you're helping us out, hell i'll throw a few rupees in too for good measure" Buffy geabbed hold of a reluctant Faiths hand but she softened a little as Persephone agreed to the idea.

"I would love to look after Dawn but you're not paying me a single penny, I don't need to be paid to spend time with her, nor would i want to be paid for such a thing you know... but you should tell Jean i wont be back till this evening" She was suprised to see Faith agree with Buffy as they both exited the door and went off to town oddly hastily but since they had read persephones aura she obviously trusted the girl not to do anything untowards.

Jean had also raved about the girls worth ethic and intellect this last month she was in town and Buffy had noticed her daughters wandering eyes more than once. she might love that english idiot but she wanted better for her in the future and aparently they were quite fond of each other as their strangely colored auras had shown by the way they interacted.

The door had slammed shut only a few moments after they had got their shoes on and grabbed their purses, plus if anything happened they had magical warning systems in place about their home. Buffy herself liked the idea of such a pretty young women trying to tempt her daughter, their auras interlocked so perfectly jt was almost easy enough to mistake them for hers and Faiths.

Dawn awoke in her mothers bed which was odd enough and in fresh clothes, light pyjamas which she was shocked Buffy or Faith had since all of Buffys pyjamas were ridiculous like her 'Yummy sushi' ones. She was however confused as to why Persephone was laying down next to her reading Pride and prejudice and even more so as to why her head had gravitated so easily towards her lap.

"Persephone... why are you in my mothers room? is this one of those sexy dreams that feel super real at first but then go weird and odd near the end before waking up... i always wondered what they would feel like" Dawn watched as she placed the book down on the bedside cabinet and gave her full attention to the newly awakened Dawn and her groggy but somewhat charming words.

"I always heard in those kind of dreams there was less clothes and alot more seductive moments illuminated by soft but subtle candle light and of course alot of heavy petting and fine but long held kisses" Persephone lowered herself down to lay next to Dawn who now shared a soft and plump pillow in which their eyes locked softly together in an unspoken moment which made their intentions towards each other known.

Dawn was reluctant to act but softened as Persephones deep purple eyes locked with hers and their hands interlocked and Dawn could only internally panic and hold her back and the black haired beautys alabaster complexion was soft to the weary sight of a freshly awoken women.

"But to answer your first question, Why am i in your mothers room? well that's simple... after you passed out, probably from exhaustion, Faith carried you home and it was just after mid day when i came to check on you" Persephone smiled wide with a closed lip as she tenderly caressed Dawns beautiful brown hair but every now and then her thumb would brush gingerly across her pink youthful cheeks and cause a nervous spark to awaken within the girl.

"I was worried, especially after you had your way with me against that wall. i thought it might never happen again! the horror! as i hope to be pushed up agajnst many more things by your soft, supple hands" Persephone flirted but Dawn who was now alot more awake then before but still resting her head on her reclined lap was still trying her hardest to be loyal to William and it took all her effort in this tired state.

Dawn exhaled sharply before speaking "Persephone! stop flirting with me ok... i'm taken and couldn't you just... hold me, maybe get to know me. beats being all horned up and trying to get with me" She was suprised when her hand was taken and held delicately as the women seemed to after a small momemtary pause, agree with what Dawn was saying oddly well.

Her Purple eyes shone in the early evening light as she looked wistfully out of the bedroom window and enjoyed the warmth exchanged between them in some sort of self imposed and humbly quiet modesty. Dawn hadn't realised the Barmaid was actually capable of being quiet and not flirting every time she saw her, even William had gotten used to it after the month she's been in town and gafe up trying correct her behavior as he assumed it was just a tactic to drum up more buisness.

"I enjoy holding you... if that's any comfort? I'm not great with people or showing emotions Dawn. i kinda go overboard and feel too much all at once, but i can try to slow myself down... especially if it makes you like me more" Persephone had been brutally honest to the point that Dawn actually appreciated the honesty, Willow stretched the truth, Tara censored it and her Boyfriend just told the truth whether anyone liked it or not before he even realised he had said something hurtful or mean.

"If you enjoy my closeness so much then just hold me fast to yourself and don't let go, but remember... still taken, even if he's an immortal english vamoire who doesn't really enjoy living all that much since he got his soul back but i'm working on it" The brunette beauty got herself more comfortable and looked up to persephone from her perch upon her silken robed lap and realised even from undernearh she was statuesque and uncommonly handsome.

"You exude a subtle warmth from your eyes when you look at me, it's pleasent... to see. you know to change the subject abruptly, Jean told me you were buying the house next door. how much would that even cost anyway?" The words left Persephones mouth and lingered on the warm air betwixt them for far too long as Dawn tried to remember the fadts and figures. all her savings and current earnings from bounties were piling up and the house idea was to get rid of a vast amount of cash she had saved up and alsp get some damn privacy from her mothers.

"Bout 20 thousand rupees, alot more than you'd make in 10 years on your salary. the Inn Mistress told me you were renting a small backroom from her, 4 rupees a night and you don't even get an en-suite? evil aint it" Dawn could not help but feel sorry for the woman as those cheap inns were just the worst and she had no idea how Persephone always stayed so clean and well kept in those conditions.

Persephone sighed in annoyance at her current financial predicament. "Believe me the pays great for what i do, teachers is only a little better with alot more stress, i teach some weekend history classes now but... man what i would do for a decent bath or a hot shower!" Persephone had remembered only slightly what they felt like as it had been so oong since she had been at home with family in distant lands and her travels usually only afforded her a damp rag and some inventive self cleaning techniques at the best of times.

"This might be a terrible idea but... how long are you plannint on staying here? in Al-Kufir" Dawn asked as Persephone seemed to ponder the question with no real care or haste about it at all and just spoke honestly.

"Well, i've got nowhere to be, no family to see... no cute girlfriend to fawn over so... guess i can do whatever I want all consequence free Dawn. why? not scared you'll miss my pretty face are ya? i do leave quite the impression or so i've been told" to her suprise Dawn scooted up higher and repositioned herself just a little under eye level as she tried to come up with the best way to speak her offer without sounding like a pitious jackass.

"Well when i buy my house, i'm only sleeping in it on the weekends as i still have to go to school in my home dimension and i kinda like the idea of you not being cooped up in that shitty back alley inn down by the butchers and ironmongers even if you do know magic to protect yourself with" Dawn eyed persephones response and she was quite taken aback by the idea but wasn't unreceptive to it.

She thought it over thoroughly before responding. "You just want a live in maid... better be good pay! plus won't you be spending those nights with William, wouldn't wanna interrupt the loving couple. don't think you would enjoy my third wheeling much anyway". she smirked but Dawn just responded more matter of factly in a calm, honest tone of voice.

"William has a place in Sunnydale, i can stay there on week nights when i want that, so you'll have the house to yourself, we just gotta buy beds and get used to sleeping in the same room! plus i like you too much to let you sleep in that shit hole down town. but there will be rules and we have to look after the place, oh! and no visitors cause i prefer privacy when i'm home ok" Dawn was pleasently suprised as Persephonenow took the time to lay upon Dawns lap and enjoy the girl nervously stroking her cheek after a half minute of indecisiveness.

"So, you like me huh? rules seem fair also since i'm a private person... maybe we can just share a bed? saves on housework and laundry... plus i might be a great cuddler! i've never tried so ya know, could be fun to experiment with" Persephones voice was cheerful as she agreed to Dawns ideas and tried to add some of her own but something told her it wasn't going to be so easy to get what she craved so effortlessly.

Dawn giggled at the awkward girls lack of secrecy to her plans and just figured she was in fact a great cuddler but kindof wanted to make her feel good about it, rather than being so obviously indecisive as Dawn realised she usually was. Persephone was strong and to the point when accepting or rejecting things or people, but obviously naive and nervous in all things romantic. but then again so was she until a short while ago.

"I'm gonna buy two beds, tell people were house sharing as friends since i don't plan to sleep with you... sexually anyway. maybe you could just enjoy my... wamrth, closeness... i dunno you make my head all foggy and confused" The straight haired brunette closed her eyes and lay back down and placdd her head on the pillow carefully as she was still woozy and healing from her lack of sleep and use of alot of magical energy.

Persephone lay next to her and placed her head just above her arm so Dawn could hold her better and she tried to close her eyes but couldn't as she was trying to figure out what she wanted and then it struck her like lightning but she kept it to hreelf for a moment before speaking in a hushed tone.

"We can sleep together like this... but, maybe I should kiss you goodnight? then you'll be able to sleep better" Persephone saw Dawn open her eyes and give her a look that said 'really, smooth...' and she rolled her eyes but not in annoyance, in acceptance.

"Smooth... but if it helps me sleep then i shouldn't rule it out... should i" Dawn moved slightly and held her chiseled chin with her free hand and lightly blessed Persephones tender lips with a chaste kiss that turned into something far from chaste in only a matter of moments. Both girls were working themselves up into a fevered pitch but managed to stop themselves before it got too far and they could be walked in on at any moment so it wssn't exactly a great idea to screw around in Dawns mothers bed. was hot to fantasize about though she concluded internally.

Dawn was only centimetres away from the statuesque beauties lips as she whispered quietly, "Persephone, please... i know what we both want but, just hold me ok. i'm spoken for you beatiful temptress" Dawn smiled and her face turned a deep shade of pink as Persephone bit her lip and she realised what she had actually admitted to feeling.

Persephone planted an actually chaste kiss this time and the wet sound of slowly embracing and parting lips didn't help to make them both feel any less hot for eachother. "I'll wait for you Dawn, i'll go at your speed and anyway... i've never actually, i mean... this is my first time being kissed or even wanting to kiss anyone so yeah..." Persephone enjoyed these new feeling however, her lips and wandering hands that caressed her muses slender jaw bone proved as such.

"Sleep would be a great idea, maybe... possibly, a little bit" Dawn snuggled into Persephones plump but firm bosom and held herself close to which the porcelain beauty eagerly accepted and both girls were soon sleeping soundly in each others warm embrace, the sun shining through the window and upon them to warm their collected selves.

It must have been about five o'clock by the time Buffy and Faith returned home and could sense both Dawn and Persephone still sleeping in their shared bedroom, Buffy was ecstatic at the idea and had brought them home dinner from their favourite chinese place in Sunnydale, demons using ingredients from here was the only reason she ever used the place anyway since home dimension food tasted like garbage and sand.

Before opening door Faith could sense Buffys eagerness at what the outcome had been as her own daughter dating a vampire was a sore point for her as her own dating history with the pedophilic Angel who had groom her since she was 16 wasn't something she wanted her little girl to have to endure like she once had to. Faith spoke to her in a hushed almost silent tone but their connection picked up for the unheard parts and filled them in.

"I know you andi both agree she shouldn't be dating William or even screwing him... don't force this, if she likes the girl. let it just happen ok... forcing this won't get us anywhere and will end up pushing her further into that vamps arms" Faith might have accepted Dawns decision but she didn't have to enjoy it, she had even told Dawn once what she actually thought and the young girl had understood without raising her voice once to her.

Buffys sighed and rolled her eyes before responding "Baby, we've had a wonderful day together, so don't worry cause i'm all kinds of understanding Buffy right now... our little girl is just like us, aren't you excited? even a little!" The blonde opened the door as Faith refused to answer as they both walked inside their home and were suprised to not see any open windows or the telltale signs of hungry, passionate sex but there was nothing.

The rooms were clean and open, both girls were barely rousing from their slumber and Buffy put the large bags of chinese food made with ingredients from here on the table as she walked towards their open door and saw both girls sleeping together soundly under the bed covers and holding each other closely. somewhere in the short time they had been napping both girls had got under the covers but Dawn much like Faith had a tendency to like being the little spoon it seemed.

Buffy spoke to Faiths mind and she came to the door to see her Daughter in the arms of a beautiful women they had only known for a month but were well aware she had been attracted too. everytime she bent over behind the bar Dawns eyes shot to her, or whenever she thought no one was looking she had to put her eyes upon the statuesque young women. It had been a secret observtion between the two Slayers that Dawn was definetly interested but chose not too because she loved William and yet here she was, sleeping in the arms of another women and smiling like a giddy fool while she slept.

Dawn had began to stir ans so had persephone as maybe a part of them could sense the were being watched or maybe both had just slept long enough and Both Bounty hunters kept their mouths shut as they spied their only daughters next actions before they were noticed or had to make themselves.

Persephone awoke groggily but smiled as she caught the beautiful hazel eyes of the girl she had just napped together with and found herself whispering in a lower but femimine tone she had never heard herself use before as normally she never spoke when she woke up. Hey... did you sleep well? I, hope i didn't ruin your sleep or anything... i've never slept in someones arms before" she grinned giddily as she slowly began to gain her senses back.

"It's kind of wonderful, when you hold me so close..." She noticed Dawns eyes close again as the girl rose her hand to meet Persephones cheek and she rubbed a lone thumb across her cheek until it fell down to her neck and she was caressing her jaw ever so slightly.

"Would you believe me if I said that was the best sleep i've ever had in my life..." Dawn thought they were alone as she moved in for a kiss as all the lights were off in the house as the night was begining to pour in through the window and she felt no presence other than the beautiful women in front of her.

Dawn kissed Persephone lips as a waking up kind of greeting which the women enjoyed receiving as bother parted from each other and placed their foreheads against each others as they tried to find even more comfort in each other as well as what they believed to be a private moment.

"Well when you buy the place next door maybe I can hold you again like this, if... you want to do this again that is?" the Black haired women spoke with a nervous tinge to her voice But Dawn who didn't want her to second guess anything between them quickly sprung to action and told her what she really felt.

Maybe it was the fact she had just woken up and no filter on her thoughts had been out in place but she said truthfully what she really thought. "Well... if you accept my offer and get out of that shitty inn then maybe i could do this alot more often... not sure what my wonderful mothers would think but... maybe they'd be ok with it? you and me, living in the same house, sharing a bed... in secret" Dawn chuckled but Buffy and Faith just backed out of the room as both realised their Daughter was really interested in this girl and the were not going to barge in and ruin the moment for them both.

Buffy sent her thoughts to Faith, 'You go and sneak towards the light switch and i'll pretend i'm going to check on them, oh! i am so fucking happy right now baby!' Buffy watched as Faith shot across the room at inhumanly quiet speeds and the light shot on as Buffy controlled the tone of her voice and announced their arrival.

Buffy spoke a bit louder than usual and she could hewr Dawn stir in a panic afterwards "Dawn! persephone! we're home and we brought chinese food if your hungry!" Buffy then after a few seconds walked into the bedroom to see awide eyed Dawn and Persephone fail to get their shit together fast enough and both looked like deers in the headlights as the tiny blonde death machine rounded the corner and hung onto the door frame like a monkey.

"Hey your still here! we brought home food... wow, am i interrupting something?" Buffy joked and she could feel Faith actually face palm and stifle a laugh as she realised just how cheeky and playful she still was after they had spent half the day together.

"If you two need to finish whatever it is you were both doing me and Faith can just close the door, cast a silence spell... it's what we do when we're blowing each others brains out..."Buffy grinned but both girls were not beet red and couldn't get a word out so Buffy decided she'd have one last bit of fun before closing door and allowing them to collect themselves.

"Oh yeah, definetly something going on her, i'm gonna close the door to give you two a minute and i'm gonna go spill the tea to Faith while setting up dinner... you are joining us Persephone" Buffy didn't ask, she was telling and the young lady who was only a few years younger then her did exactly what she was told and rep,ied with a meek response as the shock was still setting in.

"Yes Mrs Summers, I... I would like that very much" Persephone felt like a child under her Mothers gaze and it took her right back to a place she hadn't been to since she was a small girl but she tried her hardest to put it deep down and repress it once again.she never wanted to remember how it felt to be controlled again but she knew this wasn't the same situation and Buffy was just being playful but strong handed.

"Good, Dawn... we know what happened and your off the hook, don't do it again or I'll kick your pretty little ass all the way back to Sunnydale and you'll never step foot in this dimension ever again... everyone might think you're a hero but that kind of brutality was not needed, you underetand me!" Buffy spoke in an angry motherly tone she had never heard before and it made Dawn nervous as all she coud do was respond like a child would.

"Yes mother, i'm sorry... it won't happen again. i promise" Dawn was still nervous and a little frightened of how her smaller and more notably angrier mother would be until Buffy beamed a wide sunny smile until she closed the door and told them both to 'Hurry up and wash up' as she was starving and the food was getting cold.

Buffy had ran over to Faith with an abnormal spring to her step as if she had finally gotten everything she had wanted for christmas, which reminded the taller much more muscular woman that she really had to plan for their first family christmas together before the end of november as Joyce had been a little bit too pressed with her job to make any progress on the plans.

"Faith, my darling, my love... my whole reason for existing! our daughters just like us, all cute and romantic and, and..." Buffy was almost filled to bursting with her obviously repressed emotions concerning her ex Big bads relationship wifh her daughter but Faith was more annoyed about another simple fact of what her daughter was up to.

"She's cheating on him B... if she's gonna start a relationship with this girl, she's should do it right and let William down lightly. he is a good man these days and even if he wasn't... no one deserves to be cucked baby" Faith said it so harsh and matter of fact that Buffy was taken aback but she knew her wife was right, problem was she didn't want her own flesh and blood to remain with a famous dark warrior like Spike. ensouled or no.

"We can ease her into getting away from him... i don't want her to make the mistakes i did, i want her to be with someone like us. A person who can make her happy and show her boundless depths of the type of love we share for each other" Buffy watched as Faith set the table and thought about what she was going to say next as Buffy unpacked the still piping hot food and mouth watering food.

Faith had finished setting the table and walked over to Buffy who turned to face her with a happy smile on her face but Faith seemed more worried she was about to say something she really shouldn't but she had to. "William isn't Angel B, he treats our girl well... Dawn tells me alot about their relationship and... if you ever did that to me, i don't know what i would do but it would be... passionate". Faith felt her mouth go dry as Buffy seemed to think over what she had said for longer than she would like too.

"Angel was... my biggest mistake, you and everyone tried to tell me, hell sometimes beat it into my head even and i ignored them all because i wanted to be normal. i didn't want anyone to know for a fact that when you came into town all i could think about was... well, doing all manner of things that seem tame now compared to what we have learned together" Buffy grinned and cutely bit her lip after running a playful tongue across her lips.

Faith couldn't help but gulp as she saw the hot and heavy Buffy look in her eyes that she always knew led to Faith begging and moaning for more until the early hours.

"When i was with him, all i could think about was you... in leather pants... alot of leather! god was that a sexy phase" Buffy lost her train of thought as she looked her wife up and down hungrily.

"Honey pie keep on track i literally have crothless panties from Ann Summers in our wardrobes... we are ways past leatherplay... at this point in our love" Faith held the blondes hand as she snapped herself back to reaity and found her original point to her discussion.

"I spent months mooning over you, defending you when you went over to the Mayors side. I never gave up on you, i even forgave you for killing him... for killing Angel and i did it suprisingly quick after seeing you age a little over a year and grow up way beyond myself" Buffy kissed Faith and enjoued the chaste feeling of it, their spark stronger and brighter than ever as she still blushed like a schoolgirl every damn time.

"Your growth, the way you surpassed me made it all clear, i was a morally superior asshole whose morals were not actually all that iron clad. i used them as an excuse to not feel, just to fight and destroy... maybe that was the aspect of our demons as Slayers. But i fell so hard for you Faith Summers, your put me on a wonderful path because you grew up and show me what i really wanted and i shouldn't be ashamed of who i truly am or what i want in this cold and shitty life" Buffy felt a tear drop fall down her cheek as Faith moved to catch it mid fall and wipe it away lovingly.

"You are my hero Faith, i owe everything i am to you... i just want our beautiful daughter to feel as i do. i wish for her to be happy" Buffy felt her voice tighten up as she also wiped her free flowing tears away and tried to compose herself as she felt Dawn coming and Persephone was close behind her.

Dawn entered the room as Buffy turned to the refridgerator and asked the girls what they would like to drink and she took their orders and filled the correct glasses as Faith went over the huge list of what their was to eat and Persephones eyes would of bulged if they didn't look glazed over and spoiled for choice. Dawn however sat her down and even pulled out and then pushed in her chair for her once she sat down. her gentlemanly behavior didn't go unnoticed but there was no comment made concerning the behavior.

"So, we eat alot cause we burn alot of energy, fighting and training everyday but i can show you whats good and then you can tell me what you enjoy, for when we live together. i'm not really a bad cook but Faith puts me to shame, well everyone to shame really.

Faith was filling her plate up with all types of delicious take out food and nearly lost a pork ball as she repeated, well paraphrased what Dawn had just said before adding her own questioning twist. "live together... what the? when did this become a thing?" Her question hadn't perturbed Daw in the slightest as she continued piling up Persephones plate with what she felt she would like most and spoke as she worked.

"Since i found out she's renting a back room from the Kin Cho inn by the iron mongers... place is a shit... it's a hole" Down kept the swearing to the minimum and the revelation Persephone was staying there was shocking to both Ex-Slayers who had no idea why she would be staying there when Jean payed so well and had his own private worker rooms.

"Why in earth would you stay in that degenerate hellhole, we know you have magic and super strength Persephone. I've seen you dominate a drunken Sina and Rhino after that arm wrestle that got a bit too heated last week... you don't have alotof debt do you?" Buffy asked Persephone but she rose her hands in a panic and refuted such an idea rather quickly and explained herself before anyone could get the wrong idea.

"No, i... i like travelling and it can get expensive so... i stay there to save up the most money so i can enjoy my little adventures. i do alot of photgraphy and i write novels and poetry. Faiths art classes have also been fun too. I like to stay busy, since everything here is so new to me from my home dimension" She was suprised as everyone released there held in breaths and learned quickly she was just a little eccentric and adventurous and not in any debt or troubles beyond the law.

"So yeah when i buy the house next door Persephones staying with me, Jean is going ahead with he setup so it won't be too long... although i don't like the idea of you going back there" Dawn then did somthing so uncharacteristic that both her mothers had no idea how to react as she began to feed Pereephone a fork full of noodles and she ate it without any hint of shame or worry whatsoever until both womens looks made her blush and cover her mouth as she realised they weren't alone anymore.

"So, what do you think? the demons in Sunnydale cook with ingredients from here, so the foods delicious and so much healthier, oh! i just realised..."Dawn turned to her mothers as she handed Persephone her fork back and prepared herself mentally for a possible rejection.

"I never ask alot from you both but... can Persephone stay with us, until my house is ready? i normally wouldn't ask but..." Dawn didn't have timeto finish as Buffy interrupted her with her own questions.

"Is this what Persephone wants? surely she's been living at Kin Cho's for a month and is strong enough to defend herself, why would she need to stay with us?" Buffy was then looking over to Persephone rather than Dawn who was also confused as Dawn was definetly taking things into her own hands and bkth Slayers could feel it wasn't the Dark haired beauties idea at all.

"I am fine at Kins, you don't have to put yourselves out for me really... Dawn only came up with the idea when we were cuddling in bed. i'm fine with staying where i am until we room up together" Persephone found herself really enjoying the egg fried rice which made Dawn happy after she herself had demolished the pork balls in record time.

"I just... consider it my only christmas present, you don't need to buy me anything at all. just me and Persephone can sleep on the couch for a few nights and the christmas holidays are almost upon us so my schools gonna be off for a month or more... just do it for me mums, please" Dawns sudden seriousness and sacrifice or her own chrietmas gifts confused both women and they wouldn't actually let that happen but it was obvious their daughter really had a thing for this girl.

Faith turned to persephone after swallowing her food and taking a long tall gulp of her drink. "It's a good way to know each other, you two are obviously close and i have no objection as long as there's no fucking under my roof" she grinned as Dawn choked on her food and Persephone began slapping her back and passing her drink to her for the poor girl to unblock her airways and it worked but Dawns face was shook after what her taller and more dominant mother had just so openly said without a single emotion visible on her face.

"I, yeah that's great arghhh!!! we'll take the sofa..." Dawn choked as her airways which were once blocked came straight back to factory settings and unblocked itself after Persephone extremly had back slaps. Dawn knew she was strong but now she was sure of it, she may be stronger than her. maybe even someone between her two mothers and that idea kinda scared her a little.

Buffy had a small grin on her face as her daughter reclaimed her poise before telling the beautiful women next to her she was fine and those slaps managed to beat the shit out of that murderous pork ball but apologised for her rude mouth when Buffy shot her a motherly look and she took a deep mouthful of her drink before she resumed eating.

"So, Jeans gonna be happy since he's been trying to sell that house next to us for years now. i just don't think he wanted to lose money on it like he did with the Mashara Estates... man we're gonna have to go furniture shopping" Buffy sighed at the idea but Dawn seemed excited about the whole process as she had saved up so much just for this moment. Sunhydale wasn't really her end goal and it seemed her mothers knew that quite well as the themselves didn't care too much for the place.

"We can find a huge comfy bed loads of pillows! an ungodly amount of pillows!!! ah man, maybe we'll have to paint, that could be fun. But you'll have to help since i have no idea where to buy that kind of stuff" Dawn couldn't help but be excited as for her this was the first step in her new life, it was her way of living how she wished too and she was begining to realise William didn't really want to stay in Al-kufir and it had been a topic of discussion for a long while now.

Persephone was enjoying the food but wanted to say something but couldn't quite get it out and Faith noticed and spoke up about it "What's wrong little one, do you have somthing on your mind?" All eyes were now on Persephone and she had to juet blurt out what she was thinking as her mind was racing. she needed Dawn to jnow she wasn't a freeloader and she could help with bills and what not.

She turned to her after placing her eating utensil back down and looking the elegant beauty deep in the eyes as she spoke "I can pay rent... i'm not a freeloader Dawn, I can help and moneys not a problem since i've done bounty work before, it's a good way to travel when you need cash since i'm so strong and mgically inclined" Persephone didn't expect Dawn to refuse her money and also it was obvious she didn't think she was free loading at all.

"I won't let you pay rent, we can travel and share bounties if you want? i'm really good at it and i'm flush with cash so... not really an issue and anyway why would you worry about that, after next summer i'm staying here permamently, mum and... taller mum too" Dawn pointed to Faith as she pointedout she was indeed the 'taller mum' and she knew it was purely to annoy her mum smaller cuter mother becaue she felt like it.

Before Smaller mother could speak, Persephone interrupted and spoke again with a softer tone to her voice rather than the previous fear and panic "I... like the idea, but you're not doing everything alone... i won't lt you" She smiled sweetly and Dawn had to catch herself from biting her lip, she wanted her andit was obvious. too her mothers it had been obvious since the moment Persephone had come to town.

Both of them had been struck by eachothers beauty and both accidentally bumped heads after Dawn had dropped her shotgun and both tried to pick it up at the same time, William had been observed by Buffy as not enjoying the interaction. or every time she had told him she was moving here to Al-kufir, he was adamant to stay on earth and Dawn had even said that they would deal with that obvious problem when they came to that particular crossroads.

Dawn slightly cocked her head as she felt her happiness well up from within, "I hope you don't... I can't wait until i live here properly, Sunnydale isn't my idea of how to live a life anyway... i want to be happy, can't be happy there" Dawn looked over to her mothers who she knew both agreed but they remained silent on the matter and were only half way through eating.

"Ohhhh! darling mothers of mine, who i owe everything to, especially my life and happiness!..." Dawn cooed and gave a cheeky grin which meant she wanted something andFaith rolled her eyes as she knew the main assualt would be focused on her since she always gave in to make her happy where as Buffy was alot more stern and heavy handed.

"Could Persephone shower here before bed? she doesn't have a shower at the inn and ours is kinda nice... thought it would be a great idea since she has to use the communal one alot at Jeans and i don't like that idea much" Dawn was brutally honest and it made Persephone blush lightly as she realised the girl she had fallen for didn't want other people seeing her body and it kind of made her want adhere to the concept.

Buffy gave Faith a look and they were obviously communicating in private again, but she was quick to respond "We have spare towels for you both, loads of oils and shampoos too... since obviously Jeans place isn't the best place to get clean" Buffy grinned like a cat as both girls realised the implications Buffy was raising and both seemed unable to speak as the idea hd definetly never entered their respective minds but now the possibility seemed very desirable in the very best of ways.

After a lengthy moments silence Persephone spoke "Well, I... it's not a bad idea, we could... i mean if you wanted too?" her nervous yet eager feelings definetly came across as Dawn panicked and had no idea how to react as her mother was trying her hardest to stifle a laugh and failing miserably at doing so.

"I've never... that's... mother! you're a devil, a demon from the deepest reaches come to torment me!" Dawn pointed a finger at her mother but retracted it quickly as Faith flicked a porkball across the table and into Dawn mouth. she ate it and grumbled but Persephone just thought it was cute and continued eating with everyone else.

"Well this devil thinks that if you want to shower together in private then it's fine... Faith and i were going to paint before bd anyway so... we wouldn't even notice if to say perhaps, you spent an abnormally long time cleaning yourselves... just putting it out there" Buffy didn't let Dawn speak as she raised her hand up and told her to not speak with her mouth full.

Dawn went to trying to ignore the situation she had found herself in by asking Persephone all kinds of questions about the food and what she liked most, what her hobbies were and she already knew the places she had travelled too as the spoke often in private or in the Saloon. Many of the patrons and working girls were annoyed at how Dawn took nearly all of Persephones attention while she worked, the had assumed her and William were either open or over as he never spent alot of time in Al-Kufir anymore.

After a hefty amount of conversation and everyone enjoying the good mood and merriement Buffy washed up and Faith dried up as the girls got rid of the trash and Dawn went to get some towels and other things she thought Persephone might need for the shower as she had no actual idea if she was really going to shower together with the beautiful women but it was obvious both wanted too.

Dawn returned with everything she would need and Faith was in the middle of setting up her Canvas next to Buffys and began to do a prelimenary sketch as Buffy took a few pictures she had taken and had a plan to paint an ocean Vista as Faith had been teaching her some new techniques she had learned recently and was happy with her own results so she wanted to pass along the knowledge.

"So, the taps kinda finnicky but the water warms up real quick..." Dawn handed her the towels and everything else but Pereephone was with her under the threshold of the door moved in a bit closer and made a point she hoped would change Dawns mind so she would come in and shower with her.

"You could always help me, i'm very bad with taps and i could slip and fall... maybe die? bathrooms are dangerous ya know, people die in em all the time. would be heroic of you to come and maybe join me, rescue me from a soapy, hopefully sexy kind of death?" She licked her lips seductively and Dawn played into it without even realising.

"I mean, i could help... there could be japanese toilet demons in there... you'd be vulnerable and all soapy... demons love suds" Dawn was being playful and Faith couldn't help but smirk as her daughters obvious attraction to this women was actually pretty adorable.

"Oh that sounds dangerous, you should cover my rear... you told me they get ya from behind... you kinda scared Jino and Loen in the town gaurds, they were too scared to go to the toilet for days" Persephone giggled at the memory and Dawns face brightened at the idea but both were still standing there and Dawn needed a push.

"Oh my god! go shower before you adorable idiots make me screw up my sketch!" Faith waved her pencil hand and magically bur carefully pushed them into the room and slammed the door shut behind them before casting a spell of silence on the room so she didn't have to hear her daughter get freaky or giggle like an idiot.

Persephone grinned... "Well come on then, i could die in there Dawn... you should help me take of my clothes too, cause ya know... why not?" She grabbed Dawns hand andboth rushed into the bathroom but as Dawn closed the door Pereephone stole a passionate kiss and Dawn knew she was way over her head and drowning in her lust for this women and nothing was stopping her now.

Dawn was nervous but ready, she wanted this and she had known for awhile her and William had an expiration date, he was staying on earth and she wasn't, she wanted Persephone more than anything she had ever wanted before but she wzsn't going to sleep with her. not until her and William had talked and split amicably, she knew he was building up to it anyway as the fact they both clearly wanted different things even though they both loved one another deeply still burned deep within their late night conversations.

William had stopped sleeping with her and she was the one who decided it was a good thing, as it would of made it all so much harder to let the other go and at this point they both just needed to make it official. She wanted what her mothers had, William wanted to absolve himself of his past sins. that meant he was probably going to die a warriors death sooner or later and Ruby had actually eyed his replacement just in case he disappeared and left everyone and everything in the wind one day.

Persephone however was honest from day one and she had only very recently upped her flirting game as before she was unbelievably innocent and oblivious to her own desires, but Dawn had awoken something within the young women that brought the more sexual side of her to the surface and both could tell it was ready to burst any day now.

Persephone was shocked ro see Dawn take of her shirt as her mother had taken off her form fitting dark blue and silver waistcoat off ewrlier in the day when she had collaped.

The shirt was more of a frilly and high class looking blouse that had ruffles and everything, each button was popped open in a moments as Dawn ran her strong index finger from top to bottom in a clean motion and a sliver of her youthful skin was shown so smoothly that Persephone accidentally moaned and bit her lip as she endured her muses stylish unbuttoning.

She congratulated him but had made it clear her future was far from here, she would only return for school and training, anything Ruby or Glory related. both their lives in this moment had diverted and neither of them felt bad about what had happened. they felt relieved and freed from the love they once shared for one another. Dawn and William had made it clear their love was true and wonderful but had run its course as both had wanted very different things.

Dawn was suprisingly adult about their predicament and even wished him the best of luck before he kissed her goodbye one last time and left the coffee house for his new life as not only a legal citizen but also a human man... he like Drusilla wanted to live out their life and had taken the blood to turn him into a man again. he had no interest in fighting, he had a life to live far from Sunnydale, he even handed her the Gem of Amara to remember him by.

She fiddled with the ring before she put it on and left the coffee shop and paid before returning to Rubys magic box and telling not only her and her mothers she had said her goodbyes to William who was on the first greyhound bus out of town and she wished him well in his new life.

Ruby had hired her Daughter who know had a fully human form to take over her floristry buisness and she also took Williams apartment and made it her own, Faith had returned only moments before her daughter arrived from her own art exhibition and she had managed to sell many of her painting too some very wealthy sellers who lofed her otherworldly work to the point most payed double and one triple just to outbid another on a painting he had fallen in love with.

Dawn was handed her new house key by Buffy who told her she had to thank not only her and Faith but Jean and Persephone as they had helped to all clean and fully furbish the place as Dawn was enduring her last days of school before a long winter break and now she wohldn't be in this dimension until the middle of January.

Dawn smiled as she told her mothers she was going home and for them not to wait up as she had a new roomie to annoy. Faith and Buffy both shared a look which said 'Yeah, annoy... more like fondle' but they kept their mouths shut and just laughed quietly together after she had jumped through the dimensional mirror and left for home which they both would soon also be heading towards after Ruby and Faith dealt with some private paperwork and buisness deals they had both been putting off as they both had so much work on their plates the last week.

When it was finished they all went home and enjoyed the first night of the winter holidays however they seperately saw fit.
