''So do we have an agreement? '' Chuck was anxious for the answer in the other end of the line. He listened carefully for a minute a smirk forming in his lips. Then Blair entered their bedroom and jump next to him on the bed.
''Damn it, ok then, I don't understand the delay , I mean they did put the house for sale three months ago, what difference a month makes?'' he tried a frown in his face was evident.
''Anyways, thanks Sarah ,we will be in contact'' he sighed clearly disappointed and fall back in the headboard.
They were searching for a house since March after returning from their honey moon, they had seen a couple properties in the UES ,Blair's demands and expectations of course were not to be taken lightly ,but they had found their favorite soon enough.
A beautiful 5 store townhouse in the UES with a splendid view of the Central Park , a grande staircase in the leaving room, an indoor pool in the basement ,a basketball court and a roof big enough to host all kinds of parties.
Chuck let Blair to decide which on of her favorite houses they have seen to choose from, he wanted her to choose the one that she liked best.
When she did choose that one, he was relieved because that was his favorite as well.
The only problem was that the owners suddenly decided that they didn't want to sale just yet and suddenly pulled it off the market.
Blair was devastated and quite frankly extreme to the reactions of these news as she threw a tantrum in their bedroom last night of how they would never find a house like this again.
''Sweetheart , we have the best real estate agents searching for us, we will find another on I promise'' Chuck pulled her into his hug but she was still sniffing in his arms.
''Its May and we still haven't got it , Chuck , and that house was wonderful you loved it you said so yourself''
''Yes , but I love you more,I will promise to talk with the owners again tomorrow''
''They don't want to sale, or they are doing it in purpose to extort money… those new money bloodsuckers, they don't deserve a house like this'' she finished and crossed her arms while getting under the covers.
''We will find the perfect home , it takes time but we will'' he said as he hugged her under the covers
''One could thing that with your connections we will be already in our new home'' Blair pouted and caressed his jaw , she was frustrated that it was almost May and they were still in her penthouse, she was currently using Serena's old room as Chuck's closet while her mother visited regularly and as a result Chuck was sleeping at the Empire sometimes when Cyrus and Eleanor were home. They needed their own home now.
What Chuck haven't told her yet , it was that he was in negotiations for the townhouse making an offer that he was sure the owners wouldn't be able to refuse.
When the real estate agent called he told him that they finally had a deal. Chuck was ecstatic but he wanted to surprise Blair so he masked his feelings and was already planning the surprise in his head, he reached out and brought the covers over them as he kissed her shoulder.
''it will be alright '' he said ,and tucked her into the covers again.
He knew how much it meant to Blair to find a place they could truly call their own—a home that wasn't just an address, but their sanctuary.
So two days later he convinced Blair that the agent found another house worthy of looking over so after a long day at work, he casually suggested that she go check out a property he had heard about, something he thought might be "worth looking into."
"Where are we going, Chuck?" Blair asked, her curiosity piqued.
"You'll see soon enough," Chuck replied, his tone teasingly evasive. He reached over, taking her hand in his, and after a few more minutes, the car slowed to a stop.
"We're here," Arthur announced.
Blair looked around, confused.
''So you drove me into a garage'' Blair said dramatically, Chuck hadnt told her were they were going and the driver was taking a route she hadnt seen before.
Chuck turned to her, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Close your eyes."
"Chuck—" Blair began, but he cut her off.
"Just trust me, Blair. Close your eyes."
With a reluctant sigh and a small smile, Blair did as he asked. Chuck stepped out of the car, quickly moving around to her side. He gently guided her out of the car and up the elevator and out in the front steps of the townhouse. Once they were in front of the grand door, he positioned her just right.
"Okay, you can open them now."
Blair slowly opened her eyes, blinking in the sunlight before taking in the full view of the townhouse. Her eyes widened in disbelief as realization set in. "Chuck, what…?"
"I bought it," Chuck said, his voice filled with pride and joy. "It's ours, Blair. Our home."
For a moment, Blair was speechless, her eyes darting between the house and Chuck. Then, a radiant smile spread across her face, her eyes sparkling with happiness. "You bought it? But the owners didn't want to sell—"
Chuck shrugged nonchalantly, a smug grin on his face. "I can be very persuasive when I need to be."
Blair let out a delighted laugh, launching herself into his arms. "Chuck Bass, you are unbelievable!" she exclaimed, her heart swelling with love and excitement.
Chuck wrapped his arms around her, holding her close as he kissed her. "Only the best for you, baby. I knew how much you loved this place. I had to make it happen."
Blair pulled back slightly, looking up at him with tears of joy in her eyes. "It's perfect. Everything I've ever wanted. Everything we ever wanted "
Chuck brushed a strand of hair from her face, his expression softening. "It's our dream, Blair. And now it's our reality."
Blair looked back at the townhouse, already imagining the life they would build there, the memories they would create. She turned to Chuck, her heart overflowing with love. "Thank you, Chuck. For everything."
Chuck smiled, leaning down to kiss her again. "Welcome to our home, Blair."
Together, they stood on the steps of their new home, the beginning of a new chapter in their lives unfolding before them.
