The Cavern Path

Now Brad was headed to Twiggs Town to get his next badge with the Challenger's Path getting ever closer. It was on the other side of the next town. Hayden yelled "Hey Brad. I need you to know something Challenger's Path is where we are going to finally capture the three legendries birds. We want you to capture them. You are going to need three super powerful Pokémon. One Pokémon to do a fire attack, one for an electric attack, and one for an ice attack. This will summon the legendary birds. All three of them must attack at the same time. Then all three Pokémon will attack your team. You should feel more than welcome to fight the three legendary birds with all six Pokémon from your team. I have been doing some research at the Wheeler library. You really should have come and helped me with the work." Brad responded with "Alright I am going to change out my Pokémon to get better. I need to get my Pokémon strong enough to actually summon those legendary Pokémon." Brad then got Lapras, Raichu, and Charizard to get them better in fighting together.

Now Brad decided to take six jobs to get these Pokémon better with fighting as a group. So he decided to take a two defeat and capture a criminal, two rampaging Pokémon, one clear a rock, and a save a civilian in the cave. In all of these Brad would have to battle with his Pokémon and raise them to be better. Brad thought that this would also be sufficient training for the Twiggs Town gym. One gym for every type.

Now Brad started on the way down the cave. The first thing that Brad saw was a man that was cutting the tails off of slowpoke Brad realized that this was the first criminal that Brad was going to face. "What are you doing to those Slowpoke! Why are you hurting them?" The criminal laughed "Boy do you know how much slowpoke Tails go on the black market? I am going to be a billionaire!" That is when Brad sent Lapras sliding in to attack the man's Scyther. Raichu jumped off the back of Lapras, and shocked Scyther into fainting instantly. That is when the criminal used his Poliwhirl, Victrbell, and Primeape to fight back. Lapras made a icicle out of Victrbell in under a minute. Then Raichu used quick attack on the circle of the Poliwrath and caught him unaware. That let room for a thunderbolt attack. After that Lapras hit Primeape with a surf attack with Raichu on its back. Primeape got hit hard, and jumped up to the top of the wave. That is when Raichu roasted Primeape with a thunderbolt attack. That is when Brad signaled the officials on the criminal and the Abra squad arrested the criminal. That is when Brad threw a Pokeball at one of the Slowpoke that had been abused, and captured a Slowpoke. He went on to capture all of the Slowpoke and sent them to the Professor Cypress to get studied, and healed.

Now Brad spent about fifteen minutes looking around for the rampaging Pokémon that he was supposed to be defeating. The earth started to shake and some dust started to fall from the top of the cave. The Pokémon was a Rhydon that clearly was agitated for some reason. Brad's only choice was to defeat the Rhydon. Brad used Lapras to hit Rhydon with a surf attack. That is when Lapras got hit with a body slam attack. This got Rhydon stuck on the back of Lapras. That is when Lapras slid faster, and threw Rhydon into the wall of the cave. Then Lapras made him a icicle to detain the Pokémon. That is when Brad caught the Rhydon to make sure that it would not be able to hurt the cave anymore.

Now the next task that Brad ran across was the rock that needed clearing. Charizard grabbed the rocks and cleared the rocks form the path. Charizard then started to light up the rocks with flamethrower, and destroyed them into little rocks. Then Raichu used iron tail on the rock to make them much smaller. Once the rocks were small Raichu put it on Lapras's back to be able to move them to another location much easier. While they were working some Geodude got angry with all three of Brad's Pokémon because they were moving their rocks. So Lapras hit five of them with surf knocking all of them out. Then Raichu got in the fray of things, and knocked out five with his iron tail. Then Charizard grabbed two of the Geodude and hit the three other Geodude with the two it was carrying from way up in the sky. Then nine Graveler popped up Lapras easily knocked out three of the Graveler. Charizard then bowled one Graveler into the other two knocking out all three. Finally, Raichu used iron tail on the Graveler to knock out the other three. Finally, three Golem appeared. That is when Charizard used flamethrower to defeat the Golem. Lapras used surf to hit two of them, and defeating one of them. One had sturdy, and Raichu had to use quick attack to take it down. That is how clearing rocks became an eventful task in the day. Brad decided to rest in the cave right next to a stream that was not too far from him. While he was relaxing he decided to come up with some plans that would make his Pokémon more effective in a battle against some of the strongest flying types.

He finally got up to keep pressing forward to his next task. The next task was a poacher that was trying to capture the lot of Rhyhorn in the cave to train and sell to the highest bidder. Some how this poacher had gotten a hovering vehicle inside the cave and had trapped about twenty of the Rhyhorn. Now Brad got the poacher's attention by saying "What are you going to do? You want to give people power who do not train for it. They will never be allowed to finish your plan you will probably be selling those to Team Ancient. So what are you going to do when they come after you for not being apart of their little gang?" The poacher said "Team Ancient? I hate those guys! They never pay what I want to get for the premium Pokémon that I am selling." That is when he used his Golduck, Nidoking, Vieplume, and Aerodactyl to attack Brad. That is when Brad called out all three of his Pokémon. Raichu rode Lapras. The first Pokémon they attacked was the Nidoking. The Nidoking was standing right next to Golduck. When Lapras attacked Nidoking with Surf Raichu it Golduck with thunderbolt which made it faint. Nidoking returned the attack with Mega punch. At this time Charizard, and Aerodactyl were doing a dance in the air trying to get the advantage on the other. Charizard dove and hit Vieplume with a flamethrower attack, and it fainted. Aerodactyl took the chance of being above Charizard to nail it with rock throw attack. Charizard fell down in pain. Lapras finally got Nidoking with an ice beam attack making him faint. That is when Raichu jumped on the back of the Charizard. That is when Charizard dropped Raichu on top of Aerodactyl. That is when Raichu used discharge on Aerodactyl that made Brad when the battle.

When Brad sent for the officials to arrest this Poacher, they came a teleported the poacher away. They did not do anything about the hovering vehicle with all the Rhyhorn. That is when brad released the Rhyhorn from the vehicle. Now it was clear that this was not a wise move. While it was the kind thing to do, he probably should have called the authorities to do this because the Rhyhorn attacked him. They did not seem to like any humans now. Now Brad had caused this rampaging Pokémon disaster. That is when Lapras used an extra big wave for surf. That meant that all off the twenty Rhyhorn fainted all at once. Then Brad heard the cry of a girl. "Hey, you just made all of those Pokémon rampage. You just defeated his Pokémon head on. I need to talk to you. Did you take my job to come save me. I was actually kidnapped by that poacher. Thank you for helping me! Could you use the abra squad I am super lost, and super hungry. That is when Brad called the Abra squad, and they saved the girl.

Now Brad was right outside Twiggs Town, and had not seen the last rampaging Pokémon. That is when a wild Venasaur attacked Brad with multiple vine whips to the legs. Brad called upon Charizard, and jumped in it back to ride Charizard to get away from the Venasaur. Charizard swooped down to attack Venasaur with a flamethrower. That is when Venasaur got a leech seed around both Brad and Charizard. The leech seed started to make Brad feel weak. That is when Charizard used a double wing attack flying under Venasaur. This is when Venasaur used poison powder. This caused great damage to Brad, and Charizard. That is when Brad felt the poison of the attack. That is when he did not feel like he could go on. That is why Brad did not think that he could finish the battle. Finally Charizard hit Venasaur with flamethrower that made Venasaur faint. Charizard flew Brad into town and rushed him to the Trainer Club. Scott saw what happened to Brad and healed Charizard. He had to take Brad to the hospital to get healed from the poison. That was not a lot of medical work, but Brad had to stay overnight.

Tedious Training

Brad woke up that day in the hospital. He was visited by two people who were still sitting there waiting for him to wake up. A lady said "Hi I believe your name is Bradley. I read you Chart sorry about that. My name is Treena. I just came by to thank you for taking out that Venasaur for Twiggs Town." Brad said "I go by Brad. I do not get compliments a lot from the people that I have helped. Thank you for that." Treena said "I am actually the gym leader of the town. This man that has come with me is Wingstead. He is my boyfriend. He is actually a gym leader of the flying type of gym in a town a couple of towns away. He came to see me on his flying type Pokémon." Wingstead said "Nice to meet you! I believe that people are saying that you flew under the legs of a Venasaur I need you to teach me that trick." Brad responded with "I need a favor from both of you actually. I need to train my Pokémon. Team Ancient has been trying to take over, and I have decided to call on upon the legendary birds. I want to capture them, and fight with them. Will you help me defeat them?" The two looked at each other and laughed. Wingstead said "I would love to see those three fly through the skies, but honestly stronger trainers have tried. I do not know if you have what it takes to summon them much less defeat them. I am gym leader though and I will help you train for the fight."

Now Brad was cleared to leave the hospital, and that is when Treena and Wingstead stood against Brad on the field of battle. Wingstead made it clear that this was not a official battle but training. His Pokémon wore defensive armor as not to be hurt by the attacks that Brad was about to attack them with. First was Lapras the idea was to get its accuracy higher so that it could hit Zapdos from the ground. It would be super effective for defeating Zapdos. So Wingstead used Pidgeot, Fearow, Farfetch'd and a Scyther to start. Lapras was already pretty good, but by the end of this training session it had nothing to fear. It was hitting the Pokémon every time.

Then Wingstead trained with Charizard to fly better. Brad hoped on Charizard they flew around Twiggs Town at an amazing speed. Now Brad knew that it was not just about flying it was about attacking while flying. So Brad had a flying battle with Wingstead. Wingstead used his Dragonite. "Now for this battle we are only allowed to use physical moves. No special moves because if you Charizard can win with his physical moves then he can win with his fire against Articuno." Brad taught his Charizard dragon claw. Dragonite got close and hit Dragonite with dragon claw. Dragonite tried to get a aqua tail on Charizard but it swooped down in time. Then Charizard caught a draft and got two hits on Dragonite's back. Then Dragonite tried aqua tail again, but Charizard flew right over the tail. Once Charizard dodged the attack Dragonite got five more dragon claws on Dragonite. Which made Wingstead fall out of the air. He had a revive so he did not get hurt. "Excellent1 You might actually get to the spot where you can defeat those legendary birds." Now Wingstead, and brad spent the day training all of Brad's flying Pokémon to fight better in the air. All to the dismay of Treena who though that she was going to get a day with her boyfriend.

Now Brad got Wingstead to train his Raichu in the same that he trained Lapras. He needed accuracy for the ground. So Wingstead flew his Pokémon around to get Raichu his accuracy boosted to the skill of Wingstead. "alright I have a challenge for you! What if I fought you with all four of my Pokémon while you only had Raichu. This would give the allusion that you were fighting a much stronger enemy." Brad agreed to fight Wingstead four on one. Scyther got in close to attack with fury swipes and would rotate attacking with Farfetch'd. Scyther swung its blade Raichu dodged and gave Scyther a discharge attack that would not soon be forgotten. This made Farfetch'd fall out of step then Raichu got Farfetch'd with a thunderbolt attack. Then Fearow came down with a fury attack Raichu then used iron tail to jump on the back of Fearow. Fearow thrashed and cried that Raichu was on top of it. Then Fearow soared high in the sky. This is when Pidgeot flew under the two and Raichu grabbed onto Pidgeot. Raichu took Pidgeot down with discharge. While Raichu was falling Fearow attacked Raichu. Raichu wrapped a iron tail around the neck of the Fearow. This allowed him to get on the back of Fearow that was about a foot off the ground. That is when Raichu defeated Fearow with thunderbolt.

Wingstead proclaimed "that was amazing! Why is it so dark though?" Brad confused said "Uh because it is nighttime." Wingstead yelled "Oh no I am late for my date. I was supposed to propose tonight. I am sorry but I have to go." At that time Brad headed back to the Trainer Club with his Pokémon that were stronger, and maybe could win the fight for Manji.

The Great Tree

Now in Twiggs Town there was a huge tree that was the community center, and gym. Basically what the city was based around. The town got its name for the twigs that grew off the tree. Now Hayden Michael, and Brad met up to hear someone talk about a legend. The story went that there once was king. He had a powerful psychic Pokémon that he would rule with scepter. With it he made all of Manji his kingdom. With cooperation of the towns of Manji the whole region flourished. Now many evil people tried to take away the powerful psychic Pokémon. All attempts failed to take it away. When the story was over Brad, Hayden, and Michael all came upon the same realization at once. That is what Morrim was going for. He wanted the Pokémon that could capture all of Manji. Brad suggested that they should call Professor Cypress. When they talked to Proffesor Cypress it was clear that he did not know what kind of Pokémon the ancient king had. He suggested that the Pokémon could be either a Alakzam, Hypno, or Mr. Mime. The suggestion of Mr. Mime made all of the boys laugh at the suggestion. Mr. Mime was mot the most ferocious Pokémon. Mr. Mime was more jester than king.

That is when a loud thud happened. It was very out of the ordinary. Then there he stood. Morrim was attacking the tree for yet another piece of the king's attire. That is when Brad used his Raichu as not to hurt the tree that he was inside of when he attacked. Morrim sent out a Charizard. Which was not apart of his regular rooster. He must have got a poacher or a thief to get it for this specific mission. Morrim said "I am going to burn this tree to the ground if you do not give me the gauntlets. I controlled this Pokémon with the power of the scepter and the other items. I have the power to burn this tree to the ground." Brad then used Raichu to sneak up close to Charizard, and use thunderbolt on it. Charizard was not much of a fight. It was just a wild Charizard that had some bad luck running into Morrim. Morrim started to laugh "It is my lucky day running into you. I am going to make you pay for all of the things that you have done to me." That is when Morrim called Omastar, Kabutops, and Aerodactyl. Which went as well as it possibly could have. All three of these Pokémon were at great disadvantage against Brad's Raichu. Then Morrim said "Well I guess it is time for me to leave." Morrim started to run away to his private helicopter. There were three helicopters, and they all had a person that looked like Morrim inside of it. Finally Brad decided on one of the helicopters to attack. He used Charizard to melt the back of the helicopter. The helicopter went down in a frenzy. Everyone on the helicopter lived, but the people on it were injured. When Brad grabbed the Morrim inside this helicopter he started to laugh. Morrim knew that you would fall for this. I took the gauntlets while the real Morrim distracted you. I got the gauntlets to him, and you got nothing besides the Admin Ponos, but not for long." That is when Ponos dressed as Morrim disappeared with a teleport from an Abra. It seems that they have learned how to use the same system as the Trainer Club. This was a turn of events that would not be good for anyone, and would make it hard to catch them even if they got all the pieces of the king's armor back.

Twiggs City Gym Battle

Brad went to the gym that was in the giant tree. Brad was assured by the people at the gym that it would be perfectly fine for him to use fire type Pokémon. Treena finds Brad and says "My fiancé was late to our date because of you. I was waiting for two hours. I am upset but one thing I love about him is how much he loves to help trainers grow towards their goals. He likes to help people. Let's see if that training is going to actually help you win. I want a double battle we both get six Pokémon to fight. Let's see if Wingstead really trained you well."

She chose Parasect and Exeggutor to start the fight against Brad. While Brad chose Charizard and Lapras. Now Brad immediately started the battle by shooting ice beam at Parasect that froze it into a icicle. Then Exeggutor stopped Charizard with a psychic attack. This caused great pain to Charizard but while the flame in his mouth was growing it became unmanageable by Exeggutor. That flame made Exeggutor give up the psychic attack. The flamethrower spews from the mouth of Charizard to defrost Parasect. Next Charizard swooped down to hit Parasect with a wing attack. Exeggutor shot a seed bomb at Lapras. Lapras froze the legs of the Exeggutor so that it could not dodge attacks. Parasect was right next to the frozen footed Exeggutor and Charizard hit both with wing attack. This caused Parasect to faint.

She replaces her Parasect with a Victrbell. The Victrbell was a very good dodger. The Victrbell made it very close to Lapras while still landing razor leaf on Lapras from time to time. Lapras used ice beam on Victrbell but it did not freeze. Charizard picked up the Exeggutor that had frozen legs, and took him far up in the sky. Victrbell was hurt but still moving when it decided to use power whip multiple time on Lapras. From close range Lapras shot a blizzard attack at Victrbell. Now the power whip froze from the blizzard, and hit Lapras. Lapras fainted because of the power whip attack, and Victrbell fainted from the blizzard. At the same moment Exeggutor hit groundbreaking the ice on his legs but knocking the Exeggutor out of the battle.

Brad sent out his Dragonite who he had trained to fly with Wingstead the other day. While Treena used a Venasaur and a Tangela. Dragonite and Charizard soared in the air. Now both of the grass Pokémon had vines that were deadly to anyone that got near them. Brad could not get his Pokémon close enough to even get a flamethrower attack on the Pokémon. They both decided to descend towards the ground. They are bobbing left and right avoiding the vines coming from Venasaur and Tangela. Dragonite had the speed to get behind Tangela. Dragonite then used wing attack on Tangela's legs while Charizard hit Tangela's head. The Tangela went flying in the air. Both Charizard and Dragonite used flamethrower on the Tangela to do significant damage. While Dragonite had its back toward Venasaur a leech seed attack happens that starts to drain the life of Dragonite. Charizard flew way up and started to descend on Venasaur. Charizard started a spiral motion that got closer and closer to Venasaur. Then when Charizard got a foot from the build of Venasaur. When Charizard was a foot from the bulb it used flamethrower attack on Venasaur. Venasaur got Charizard back with a toxic attack. While the leech seed was sucking the life from Dragonite Venasaur used toxic on Dragonite. After that Charizard used wing attack on the front legs of Venasaur and Dragonite used wing attack on the back legs of Venasaur. This turned Venasaur on its back and Dragonite and Charizard used flamethrower on Venasaur. This caused a burn on Venasaur. So, when Tangela started to attack with its whips the two hit Tangela with flamethrower. That is when the burn hurt Venasaur, and it fell. The poison also made Dragonite and Charizard to faint. This caused a complete board wipe of the battlefield. This was a very rare occurrence in the battle. So both trainers laughed.

Treena used her last Pokémon Vieplume. Then Brad used his Aerodactyl which he trained with Wingstead. Brad said "Let's make this a one-on-one battle. Now I still have my three Pokémon. Just you do not have to fight to on one." Treena said "Okay if you do not want the big advantage then don't take it I guess we can fight fair and square." The Aerodactyl flew far up in the sky and then started to plummet nowhere near the Vieplume. Then just when Aerodactyl was just about to hit the ground it pulled up and used that speed to hit Vieplume. The move that Aerodactyl had just done was Brave Bird. Vieplume used mega drain to gain some of its life back form Aerodactyl. That move was not very effective, but Vieplume did get some of its life back. Then Aerodactyl used wing attack on the legs of the Vieplume. So Vieplume hit its face on the hard ground. Then Aerodactyl used crunch on Vieplume. This immensely hurt Vieplume. Then Aerodactyl started to soar in to the air one last time for a brave bird attack. The brave bird attack defeated the Vieplume.

"Hahaha! All of that training did actually do something for you. I was not actually all that mad that he was two hours late. I know that you seek to defeat Team Ancient. That is what is more important than my little date. By the way if you are in Griffin when we get married you are more than welcome to come. Where can I send the invite? Now I need you to go and taken on the legendary birds with those Pokémon. You can win this, and that might help you against the great psychic Pokémon that Morrim will summon. I know that you can do it. Save all of Manji. Take this Blade badge to show that you defeated me the Twiggs Town gym leader Treena." Said Treena. Now Brad responded with "I believe that I am going to summon the Pokémon tomorrow I have plan for every situation. I believe that we are going to capture the three to save Manji from desolation. I believe that I even have some tricks up my sleeve to make sure that I catch those legends off guard. They have never faced a challenger like me.

The Legendary Battle

Now Brad went to the altar of the three birds on Challenger's Path. The normal traveler would not be able to miss this altar of the three because of how big it was. Now Brad called upon his Raichu, Lapras, and Charizard. Hayden said "Are you sure that you do not want our help. You really think this strategy of yours is going to work?" Brad laughed "Yes if this plan does not work then we are not going to be able to capture these legendary birds." Michael said "Well I envy the chance that you are going to fight them. When you capture them you are going to have to battle the two of us." Brad responded "If we live past this you got a deal! You got the police to evacuate this route for our extreme training regime. Right?" Michael said "Yeah they seemed a bit confused but were more than happy to help when I told them that we were training to stop Team Ancient." Brad said "Well alright let's light this route up in battle. Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres see our sacrifice of power, and come to fight us for our offering.

Now Brad shot three moves into the air using Lapras, Raichu and Charizard. Ice beam, thunderbolt, and flamethrower went to the sky, as was the legend of calling the birds. That is when the statues started to crack and come alive. The three birds were a little bit smaller than the statues but they were still very menacing Pokémon. Brad threw out three more of his Pokémon that he thought might build traps for the legends. First was Dragonite that swiftly picked up Raichu. Raichu was one the back of Dragonite. The Dragonite got the attention of Articuno as a easy target. Why Articuno was not expecting was Dragonite's ability to fly swiftly. Then a pillar of fire entrapped Lapras so that it was not allowed to move from the spot. The pillar of fire made it impossible to get a ice beam attack outside of the pillar. That was when Zapdos was shooting electricity at the Pokémon from a distance. Now Lapras took a stream of electricity. Lapras got out the fire pillar by covering itself in water with a surf attack. That meant that Lapras got out of the pillar and returned with an Ice beam to Zapdos. The Ice beam gave Zapdos an ice block that hit its cheat and crept up its wings. Zapdos could still fly but it was much slower

Then Articuno got above Dragonair and started using a blizzard attack to try to knock it out of the battle. This made Articuno much weaker because it could not land a blizzard, but Raichu could nail it with a thunderbolt. Articuno started to descended, and that is when Raichu did something wild. Raichu jumped from Dragonite, and landed on Articuno. That is when it started to rain. The rain was thanks to one of Brad's traps. Poliwrath used rain dance knowing that it would make Zapdos more dangerous but also Raichu. Once the rain started to come down Raichu summoned a thunder attack which was a direct hit. Since Raichu was riding Articuno. Moltres came to help his comrade. Now Moltres got hit with a thunder attack as well. Articuno is thrashing but Raichu has his tail around the neck of Articuno. Articuno takes hit after hit of thunder. Every hit made Articuno a little bit slower. Even with the slowing down Articuno was able to knock out Brad's Dragonite. Charizard flew next to Articuno locked tails with Raichu and breathed fire at Articuno. Articuno fell to the ground fainted and was caught.

Now Zapdos hit Poliwrath with thunder which made the rain stop because of knocking out Poliwrath. Now Zapdos came close to Lapras. Zapdos though that it could beat Lapras with the type advantage but all it got was more ice on its body. Moltres came flying down to destroy the ice on Zapdos but was stopped by thousands of tiny rocks on it back for a four times effective attack. Brad knew that all three of the legendary birds had a few weaknesses, and one of those weaknesses were rock. That is why Brad brought his Aerodactyl to fire on the legends from the air with their weaknesses. Raichu also got multiple hit of thunderbolt on Moltres. At this time Charizard was treating Zapdos to multiple dragon claw attacks. Zapdos was not fat enough to get away from him with all the ice. Moltres fell, and fainted because of the barrage of attack. Then Moltres was captured.

Then Zapdos was slow but still attacked Lapras. That is when Brad did something that most would have found very odd. He called back all of his Pokémon except for Lapras. Lapras started to sing. This move was known as perish song and in three turns, or about three minutes Zapdos would be knocked out because of it. That is when Brad returned Charizard, and Aerodactyl to the battlefield. They did not have the effect of the song because they were in their Pokeballs. Then Brad returned Lapras because he did not want Lapras to faint. The pair chased Zapdos and used rock throw, and flamethrower to keep him from leaving the field of battle. Zapdos got close to Charizard then started to charge up a might thunder attack. It was not looking good for either Aerodactyl or Charizard because of the great damage they had taken during the battle. That is when Zapdos fainted because of the perish song. Then Brad caught Zapdos, and then started towards the Trainer Club back in Twiggs Town.

"So, you are sure that Professor Cypress got the Pokémon that you sent him?" said Michael. "I do not know. I am going to call him when I get back to Twiggs Town. The three Pokémon are going to be put in the Pokémon Box system it is encrypted so that people cannot go in and steal the Pokémon. Like some might be tempted to do if they were just on the ranch like the other Pokémon. I mean there is a fence around it, and Professor Cypress takes good care that no Pokémon is stolen, but these are legendary Pokémon. I know Team Ancient and some bounty hunters would give their right arm to steal those Pokémon. I am keeping them safe in something that is known as the box. I know I promised you guys that you could fight them when I captured them. Well, it is not going to look the way that I think you two were think that it was going to look but I can say this you are more than welcome to fight the trio. It will have to be virtual.

A Cyber Battle

Brad started to explain "Alright guys here is what you do to get those battles I promised. You turn on the program, put this on the Pokeball and take this controller. Now you are fighting the legendries with your Pokémon. Now the big thing about this is that this raises the strength of your Pokémon and the legendries. So it is super important that we fight on the simulation. That will make the legendary Pokémon that much stronger. Some of My Pokémon have been put in the high level PC to train while we are not using this mechanism. One notably being the Hypno that trapped me in the crypt. Yeah, it evolved due to some bully and was locked in here by itself until now. We are treating it like his punishment. Some of my other Pokémon that are in there are my Beedrill, Buterfree, Fearow, Pidgeot, and Ratticate. It was to see if the weak level Pokémon could handle the mechanism. They have all taken to being significantly strong and have all become peak physically. When Ratticate uses hyper fang on one of them they are not able to shake it off. Buterfree could push back the three of the legendary Pokémon with a single silver wing. Pidgeot and Fearow can now out fly any of my Pokémon. I am thinking about putting all of my Pokémon in there, but it just seems to be a world were Pokémon battle continuously. So I do not want to put them in there all the time because it would be some kind of purgatory for some Pokémon. Does that make sense?" Michael said "Can I get that battle now, or not? Let's fight these legendries and make everyone stronger for the fight against Team Ancient."

The first person to fight the legendries was Michael. Brad took control of the legendary Pokémon because they were going to be fighting Team Ancient under his control. Brad also put Venasaur, Charizard, and Dragonite to his team. He would be fighting six Pokémon in the real battle might as well get ready for them. Michael was aware of Brad's picks and chose Pokémon to fight them. He laughed because he was very excited about fighting the legendries.

Michael started the battle with his Gengar, Nidoking, Electrode, Lapras, Dugtrio, and Tauros. Michael started the battle with a head butt attack on Venasaur. Venasaur threw it down with his vine whip attack. Zapdos was low to the ground, and got the second headbutt attack from Tauros. Moltres came towards the ground, and put Electrode in a pillar of fire. That is when Gengar went up to Zapdos. It started to rain because Lapras used rain dance. Zapdos hit Gengar with a thunder attack, but Gengar was quick. Gengar used destiny bond a second before which knocked out Zapdos. Michael laughed at the prospect that he had just taken down a legendary Pokémon. Then Moltres got closer to Electrode, and Electrode used explosion on Moltres taking down the second of the legendary birds.

Lapras shot an ice beam at Venasaur but Venasaur got their first and turned the head of Lapras to hit Nidoking with ice beam. Both of the Charizard, Dragonite and Articuno were high in the sky. Michael attacked Articuno but Dragonite got a thunderbolt attack on Charizard. The other Charizard took that moment of shock to hit the Michael's Charizard with dragon claw. Nidoking use Megahorn on Venasaur. While Tauros hit Venasaur with Zen headbutt. Articuno descended to save Venasaur. The first thing to happen was that Nidoking was made into a icicle. That took Nidoking out of the battle. Tauros then hit Articuno with a iron head attack that did some good damage. Charizard was not able to catch up with Articuno, and then was knocked out by Dragonite, and Charizard double teaming it. Lapras saw Charizard descending upon the battle and used thunderbolt to knock out Brad's Charizard. Lapras then got Dragonite with an ice beam attack to knock him out from battle as well. Tauros hit Megahorn on Venasaur which made Venasaur get knocked out of the battle. Articuno was all that left. When Tauros attacked Articuno it was frozen before it hit the ground. That made Tauros not unable to battle. Then Lapras was hit with brave bird which knocked out Lapras. It was a close battle but Brad won.

Hayden was up next he chose Gengar, Venasaur, Blastoise Golem. Arcanine, and Snorlax. While Brad chose Nidoqueen, Nidoking, Raichu, Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno. Now Hayden started off the battle with Golem using rollout Snorlax started off on one side. The other side was vine whip the Golem sped out to amazing speeds. Nidoking used earthquake which shot Golem in the air, and Hayden started to laugh. "Thanks for that." said Hayden. Articuno get hit with the rollout attack that was going speeds of two hundred mile per hour. That is when Articuno fainted from the attack. Nidoking went in for a mega horn attack, but Venasaur stopped it from attack. That was until Venasaur was put in a pillar of fire. Moltres had learned for the past and immediately started to assault the Venasaur in the cage with flamethrower. That is when a very weak Venasaur got a vine around Moltres, and slammed it to the ground. Snorlax rested because of the damage that was taken by Golem. Zapdos. Moltres. And Raichu took advantage of this. Zapdos and Raichu hit Snorlax with a thunder attack each. Moltres engulfed Snorlax with a fire blast. This was not enough to defeat Snorlax but when it happened twice it did faint.

Arcanine used extreme speed on Nidoqueen. When that attack landed Arcanine stopped for a second to long, and got caught in a earth power attack. Then Nidoqueen did a perfectly timed backflip to land on Arcanine. Golem races back into the battle with a rollout and hit both Nidoqueen and Arcanine. They both fainted from the attack on them from Golem. Golem kept going along the battle. It made it to Moltres right after Moltres had used fire blast on Venasaur for knocking to the ground. When Golem hit Moltres it knocked him out with a super effective hit. Then Raichu and Zapdos descended on Blastoise. Even though Blastoise got a few ice beams on Zapdos. Blastoise was not able to beat Zapdos before a double thunder came from Raichu and Zapdos. This influx of electricity gave Blastoise a mighty shock that knocked out Blastoise. After that Golem came back to fire rock throw at Zapdos knocking it down and out.

That left two Pokémon on each side left to battle. Gengar used psychic on Nidoking to get him weaker while Golem used earthquake to weaken Raichu. Then Nidoking started to play with Golem like a ball. Nidoking kept doing double kick on it. That is when Gengar used curse on Nidoking. The only problem is that Hayden overestimated how much health Gengar still had, and Gengar fainted. The counter to that, unknown to Brad, Golem was charging its rollout attack on Nidoking's kicks. That is when Nidoking got a hard hit to the chest instead of where Golem was meant to go. Then Raichu got hit by rollout attack. Raichu did not faint though. Golem stopped and without looking at either Pokémon used earthquake which stopped both Pokémon at once. Hayden had won the battle against two Pokémon.

Now Kimber came over to the boys that were at the station. "What are you three doing inside on a day like today. I caught five Pokémon already. I only came here because I needed a drink of water." Brad explained "Well this machine trains Pokémon on a digital realm but the get the same boost as they would from a real battle. So, we are trying to train… well we are trying to train… three Pokémon… we are trying to train." Kimber, pushing them out of the way, says "Well who are you training... you captured Articuno Zapdos, and Moltres. You went through Challenger's Way went to the shrine fought the birds captured them. Then you forced them in this video game, and are training them to fight Team Ancient… without me? Do I at least get a turn trying to fight them." Brad responded, "Uh yeah sure I beat Michael and just lost to Hayden I could use more training fighting with the three birds." Kimber said "I mean they are the birds of legend only the strongest of the strong could tame them. Yes, you probably need more training with them, and I am more than happy to help." She said as she was taking the controller from Hayden. Brad said, "Well you have to put these on your Pokeballs." Kimber said "Okay what do I do after that." Brad said, "Well we battle after that."

Kimber chose Poliwrath, Dodrio, Dragonite, Alakzam, Mr. Mime, and Rhydon. Brad used Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Beedrill, Buterfree, and Ratticate. Kimber said "Why would you chose two of your weakest Pokémon to fight with me. Are you trying to say that I am not strong enough for you?" Brad jumped in shock "No that is not what I mean. They have been training and I want to honor that with a battle with them." Kimber gave him a look that said she did not believe him but was going to be okay with it.

Brad started of the battle with a ice beam attack on Dragonite. The legendary Pokémon were not keen on working with Brad's other Pokémon since they had been sparring partners, and they knew what these Pokémon could do. Ratticate used quick attack to Dodrio then grabbed onto one of his heads with a hyper fang attack. Kimber's Dragonite flew close to Zapdos they were both giving big hits toward each other. While Dragonite was distracted Articuno hit Dragonite with a ice beam attack that made him descended to the ground. That is where Beedrill used toxic on it then out sped it to get multiple Twineedle jabs on it. Finally Dragonite fainted due to its damage.

While Dodrio was in a headlock from Ratticate the others were fighting hard. Alakzam use dazzling gleam on the three birds this made Zapdos fall from the sky. Poliwrath then used rain dance. Which perked Zapdos up before hitting the ground. That is when Zapdos shocked Poliwrath with thunder. Poliwrath stood up and used Ice beam. Zapdos tried again with the thunder attack. Poliwrath was not having it. Poliwrath used ice beam again, and Zapdos fainted. Dodrio Ratticate and Poliwrath were not far from each other standing in a triangle of about three feet distance that is when Butterfree swooped in and used silver wind on all three of them. Now this also hurt Ratticate, but the attack made Poliwrath faint, and it blew over Dodrio made it faint as well leaving Ratticate free to attack another Pokémon.

Now Mr. Mime built a barrier and was pretending to shoot a machine gun at the enemies. Which seems terribly silly, but Mr. Mime was deadly accurate. It was actually a confusion gun. Which means for every "bullet" that he shot the Pokémon got hit with confusion. Now Moltres and Articuno were flying near each other when massive stones came out od the ground. It was stone edge attack from Rhydon. The well timed attack took both of the legendary Pokémon out. This meant that Brad only had Buterfree, Beedrill, and Ratticate left. Kimber was confident that the battle was going to be hers. That is when Beedrill flies around the bunker that Mr. Mime had made for itself, and hit Mr. Mime up close with Twineedle attack. Then backed off while using Pin Missile attack. This made Mr. Mime fall very slowly to the ground. Then Mr. Mime fainted from the attack.

Now Rhydon was trying to face his opponents toe to toe. Every time it got close Buterfree used silver wind which meant that Rhydon went flying. Buterfree felt the psychic grab of Alakzam and knew that it was about to be knocked out. That is when Beedrill, and Ratticate attacked Alakzam at once. Ratticate gave Alakzam a crunch attack to the leg. While Beedrill met Alakzam with a Twineedle attack. This made Alakzam faint. That made Rhydon do back to the Sisyphean task of trying to get to Buterfree because the other Pokémon were behind Buterfree now. Beedrill helped take down Rhydon with a pin missile attack. While Ratticate kept using leer to weaken Rhydon's defense. Eventually the Pokémon took down Rhydon. "You really have been training those Pokémon your legendries did not take one of my Pokémon down. I bet you could fight Team ancient with just them." Said Kimber. Brad responded "Don't get to crazy they are good but they are not that good. I am going to be using my normal Pokémon. I am training them as well as training the others. They are fighting one another to get better. Now let's all go to bed. We have had a long day of catching legendary Pokémon and training. We deserve it!"

The Gridiron in Twiggs Town

Now they did not know where the cape was for the last piece of Morrim to take. They definitely were not getting the answer from any adults that they asked. Probably because of the fact that they might be spies for Morrim. To be clear no one actually thought that they were spies but telling children were they can get a secret artifact that could mean the life or death of their region, and the world would not be wise. Now it came to the children that they would not find any more details about the cape. So, they did what any child would do in this moment and played in the tournament of Gridiron happening at the Trainer Club that day. Brad was in the top one thousand, so he was the one to beat in a game of Gridiron that day.

Brad chose his team skillfully, and by skillfully it is meant he chose the biggest Pokémon that he had to represent him that day. Brad chose Poliwrath, Machamp, Alakzam, Dragonite, Charizard, and Rhydon. The game was to be played until the first person hit thirty-five points. The boy that Brad started against was quite young to be a Pokémon trainer. He must have got his license before ten which was not uncommon. The boy chose Fearow, Ratticate, Pidgeot, Weedle, Caterpie, and Zubat.

The flip started that the youngster would get the ball on offense. Caterpie was the quarterback for the other team. Which made Brad laugh because he did not believe that Caterpie could be an effective quarter back. That was before Caterpie shot the ball all the way up to Zubat. Zubat flew through the big Pokémon. It weaved and bobbed. That is until Dragonite caught up with the Zubat and hit it with a thunderbolt attack knocking it out of the sky, and down. Now Caterpie gave Weedle the ball during the next play. The problem was that the big Pokémon could not really get to the small Pokémon that was running the ball. That is when Weedle scored a touchdown and took the lead against Brad seven to zero.

Now Brad started off his first play with Machamp throwing a perfect spiral to Dragonite. Now as one might assume Dragonite got a touchdown because of its great speed. That made the score even at seven to seven. Then the youngster got the ball again, and Caterpie tried to shoot the ball to Pidgeot, but Charizard was to fast for it, and took it back for another touchdown for Brad. Making the score the fourteen to seven. Then the youngster had to get back on offense after the interception. Now the youngster was suspicious about the big Pokémon not able to capture Weedle. So, the youngster ran the ball with Weedle again. The Weedle attached itself to every Pokémon that was closer to the goal line on at a time hopping closer and closer. That is when Rhydon was on the one-yard line. Weedle attached to the big Rhydon and slung itself into the endzone. The score then went back to a tie at fourteen to fourteen.

So, Brad lined up on offense Machamp gave the ball to Rhydon. Now as one might could imagine Rhydon immediately started to use bulldoze to run the ball. Which knocked out all the Pokémon that were in its way of scoring another goal for Brad. The score was now twenty-one to fourteen a much better game than brad had imagined. Then the youngster got the Caterpie to give Weedle the ball again. This time when Weedle made it to the fifty-yard line Charizard swooped in and knocked it down with a dragon claw attack. The youngster's next play was supposed to be a throw to Zubat but that was knocked down by Alakzam with a psychic attack. Then Caterpie tried to throw it to Pidgeot, but Rhydon hit Pidgeot with a bulldoze attack. Then the youngster tried it again with Weedle, but right as Dragonite was about to hit it with wing attack Weedle threw the ball to Pidgeot. That was not a problem for a strong flier like Dragonite to catch up, but Pidgeot threw it to Fearow. Charizard caught up with Fearow that threw it back to Caterpie. Then Caterpie swung in for the touchdown. This was tuning out to be an astounding game. The big bad elite trainer versus the little guy. The score was not twenty-one to twenty-one.

Now Brad started the drive off with Machamp throwing to Charizard which got the team another score. The offense of Brad's team was unstoppable because for their great size. While the defense could have been better this day. The next play Caterpie threw the ball and Alakzam caught the ball with psychic and levitated in for another score. "While the score might not reflect it you played a mighty good game of Gridiron." Said Brad. The Youngster replied "I am just glad that I scored on a trainer like you! Thanks for this game. I am going to train and become the best Gridiron coach you ever seen."

The next game that was played was against Kimber. She did not really like Gridiron all that much, but she did like a Gridiron player whose girlfriend was a famous singer. She had made friendship bracelets for this singer and drove hours just to see her. Kimber chose to use Mr. Mime, Dodrio, Arcanine, Dugtrio, Persian, and Jolteon. They had to keep their same team's from last time.

Now Brad started on offense. He had Machamp throw the ball to Alakzam thought that it would be an easy score but in reality Alakzam levitated to low to the ground and was counted out by getting tackled by Dugtrio. For the next play Brad thought that he was nto going to. Make that mistake again. He ran the ball with Poliwrath. Persian went in for a attack, but was hit by Dragonite who was blocking. Then Arcanine got close to Poliwrath, but Poliwrath used hydro pump to push off the ground to do a backflip over Arcanine. That is when Jolteon hit Poliwrath with a thunderbolt. This stopped Poliwrath in its track, and then it was third down. Then Brad got Machamp to run the ball anyone that got near got a karate chop. Persian got a karate chop and was not the better for it. That is when Dodrio ran behind Poliwrath and used drill peck on the back of Machamp. It was fourth down on the final yard of the drive. Machamp passed to Charizard, but Mr. Mime climbed a ladder and caught the ball.

Then Mr. Mime started with the ball on the one-yard line. Mr. Mime inserted the ball into a canon and shot it at a Dodrio all the way down the field. Dodrio caught it in its middle head and was pecking the Pokémon near it. That is when Dragonite stopped it with thunderbolt. Then Mr. Mime handed the ball of to Dugtrio which then dug a tunnel to the endzone. Now the referees had to check the rulebook to see if that was a legal play. That is when they decided that was legal and gave Kimber seven points.

Brad got the ball back and got Machamp to run it again. Now Dodrio was running behind Machamp to knock Machamp out. That is when Dragonite hit Dodrio with a thunderbolt to make sure that it did not get Machamp. Persian threw itself at Machamp, but it was effectively thrown out of the way. Then Jolteon went in for a double kick and was greeted with a seismic toss. Arcanine just missed a wild charge attack. When Machamp was a yard from the goal it tripped on Dugtrio. Fortunately for Machamp it extended its body enough to score the touchdown. The score was seven to seven.

The next score was quick and easy Alakzam took the ball from Jolteon with a psychic attack on the next play and ran it back for a touchdown. The next play Kimber was back on offense because Brad had scored. Kimber got upset and made a quick decision to let Mr. Mime run the ball, and it went better than expected because Mr. Mime made barriers with one hand. That is when Charizard, Dragonite, and Poliwrath all came for it at once it could not block all sides, and Mr. Mime was brought down. Then Mr. Mime threw the ball to Arcanine, and it was caught by Charizard. Mr. Mime made a great barrier and stopped Charizard from getting the touchdown. That did not matter much because Brad got Dragonite the ball with a hand off which got the touchdown because of Dragonite's flying power and its ability to fly with accuracy as well as speed. That made the score twenty-one to seven.

Now this time Mr. Mime put the ball in a canon again, but this one had a computer. This ball barreled towards Dodrio, and it was accurate. Dodrio started to run towards the goal but was stopped by Alakzam. The attack Alakzam did confused Dodrio, and it started to run backwards. While Kimber's Pokémon tried to herd it back in the right direction that did not happen. Dodrio was so confused that it threw the ball to Alakzam, and that is when Alakzam floated into the touchdown. Kimber had to go back on the offense since Brad's team just scored. When Mr. Mime started to throw the ball, but Dragonite hit Mr. Mime with wing attack to make Mr. Mime fumble the football. Machamp got the fumble and ran the ball back to win the game.

Brad was up against a person that he had only seen once, but never really got to meet in person. It was the final game of the tournament, and this girl with a blue dress came out to play him. He knew her because she was wearing the same thing the day they meet. She was Elsa the ice type master of the elite four. Brad had overestimated himself. He was not the strongest trainer in the tournament. She used two Dewgong, a Jynx, two Lapras, and a Cloyster.

They flipped for the first offense, and Elsa won the flip. Jynx was the quarter back of her team. Now all of Elsa's Pokémon had a special ability that they knew how to make a ice path that could speed them. Lapras was gone much farther, and all the ice tripped Brad's Pokémon. Jynx threw the ball straight to Lapras and Elsa scored the first play of the game. Then Brad got his team to be on offense. He started it off with a run play with Machamp. The other Pokémon jumped in the way of the ice attacks. The reason they jumped in front of them was so that they could not trip up Brad's Machamp. Then Dewgong got in front of Machamp but got a might karate chop to the back. Which made the Dewgong not able to attack Brad's Machamp. Another Dewgong tried to use body slam on Machamp, and that made Machamp fall down. The next play Machamp threw it to Alakzam and floated to the touchdown making the score seven to seven.

Elsa then was on offense. Jynx chose to take the ball itself stopping anyone that got near with its psychic powers. Dragonite quickly descended upon Jynx and used flamethrower to melt the ice that was speeding up Jynx. Jynx collapsed on the field. The next play Jynx threw it to Cloyster who was down as soon as it caught the ball. Jynx then went for the handoff to a Lapras. That is when Machamp leaped toward Lapras and got it into a submission attack. In the fourth play Jynx threw it wo Dewgong but as soon as Dewgong caught the ball Alakzam stopped it with Psychic. This led to a turnover to Brad's team being on offense.

The first play Brad started off with Machamp standing there with the ball. That is when a Dewgong and a Lapras rushed Machamp. That is when Machamp took them out with a double karate chop. With another one of its arms Machamp threw the ball to Poliwrath. Cloyster shot water gun at Poliwrath, but Machamp jumped in front of it, and used vital throw on Cloyster. Then the other Dewgong and Lapras attacked the duo. That is when Dragonite and got a well-timed thunderbolt on both the Pokémon which allowed Poliwrath to score. The score was now fourteen to seven with Brad winning currently.

Now Elsa was not happy that her Pokémon were scored upon by a trainer that did not have all of his badges. She got Jynx to throw the ball straight to Lapras. This was predictable and Charizard intercepted the ball from them. Now Charizard took multiple ice beam attacks, but Charizard used a steady stream of flamethrower to keep itself going. That is when Charizard scored a touchdown on Elsa. Then since Elsa was on the offense again Machamp got to Jynx by using submission on Dewgong as soon as the ball was in play. Jynx was tackled in the backfield. The next play Dragonite caught Lapras in the backfield. This is when on the third down Jynx shot a rocket to score with Dewgong. This made Elsa very happy even though she was still losing. The score was twenty-one to fourteen, and Brad was winning.

Brad was on offense and Machamp started to run the ball. Elsa knew that Machamp was formidable, so the Pokémon shot the ground in front of Machamp. Now she did consider it odd that Brad's Pokémon did not try to stop it like they did at the first of the game. That is when Machamp threw it up to Charizard. Who flew it for a while and threw it to Dragonite. Then when Dragonite was almost brought down it was dropped on Alakzam to score the touchdown. This made the score twenty-eight to fourteen and Brad was wining.

Elsa started with the ball, and Jynx threw it to Cloyster, but it was mis calculated and it dropped the ball. Then Jynx went to run the ball but Poliwrath but it into submission well into the back field. Then Jynx got ready to throw the ball. Jynx was throwing the ball to Lapras when Alakzam tackled jynx, and Elsa's team was on its own one-yard line. Jynx was not expecting for Brad to send the house. Poliwrath, Alakzam, Charizard, Machamp, Dragonite, and Rhydon now in Gridiron all scores are seven points. With the weight of all the Pokémon Jynx was sacked in its own endzone. Which meant that brad scored seven points to win the game by sacking Jynx.

Elsa was frustrated that she lost by defense, but respected that Brad played a good game. Now Scott came over to Brad and declared that Brad was the winner of the tournament. "Yet again Brad has won another tournament. He will win ten thousand more Club Dollars, and his rank will go up for beating the Elite Four member Elsa." Elsa mocked "his rank will go up for beating Elsa." Everyone laughed at this because they knew that it was a well hearted joke. "Now Brad you have moved up from rank number one thousand to rank number nine hundred and forty-five." Now Brad was excited about winning the tournament. He was much more excited though that he got to move up in the rankings because he was already a high number moving up nine thousand spots in the matter of the time that his journey had transpired. He decided that after this tournament he would go ahead and move on in his journey by going to Dearing.
