Clawdeen Pov:

"While I've been to the beach numerous times back home and enjoyed them with my friends, this one on Bermuda takes the stake on how spacious and beautiful it is. The water is clean with no fish in sight as well as hundreds of monsters and Kaiju to talk to from across the world. I have so many questions to ask, but that seems unlikely since Cleo deems them the enemy because most of the folks who are here are from the rival teams that will be competing against them. There's also another issue that I want to get into which involves Junior's sudden fear of something happening out of nowhere despite us handling any issues we had back home. I don't want to say it because it might embarrass him but, I think he's scared about getting caught in another fight because we're in a quad relationship. Draculaura and Frankie have shown they can handle themselves in anything since we've seen them in action, but this isn't the time to think about that since Cleo needs all of us focused on the competition, and I know for a fact that it'll be a nightmare."

Morning-Bermuda Resort

The students of Monster High had awakened by a beautiful morning on the island with the seagulls chirping and the wind blowing against the air, they didn't waste a minute in heading outside to embrace the new environment they were in. Except for Junior and the rest of the fear-leading squad as they were in the training room that Cleo had reserved for them. The ghouls were lucky to get breakfast before the mummy brought them in due to how she heard during their buffet, the rival teams had gotten in more hours than anyone at the resort. Ghoulia was sitting on the bench looking at the brochure and groans toward her friends about the interesting facts about the island.

"That's intriguing. It says that the disappearances that had happened over the triangle were rumored to have vanished onto the island. Such as planes and people, including the famous human, Amelia Earhart. The residents here welcomed them and were taught about the outside world."

Armor spoke out for Ghoulia as she told everyone about the reason that the Tiki people had managed to make their building as well as become modern like the outside world. The others acknowledged that topic as well and looked over to Cleo who brought out the resort's speakers to put on some music during the training.

"Now then. We have around half a week to prepare for the competition, the other teams have a head start so we need to get twice as ahead of them as possible. Answer? Music montage."

Cleo informed her friends about how they needed an edge against the other teams who had the opportunity to further their training. It infuriated the mummy girl that while it would be great to enjoy the island with Deuce after repairing their relationship back at school, Cleo couldn't enjoy it until she knew her crew could do a routine without needing her assistance. Clawdeen and the others groaned at everyone walking up early in the morning to start practice, it even bothered Frankie who was half-charged and wasn't smiling at being woken up at this hour.

"I think this is the first time I'm saying it, but I think Frankie being upset scares me."

Draculaura spoke out to the others as they saw the reanimated ghoul appearing agitated at not being fully charged to show any expression to that of wanting to be here. Not saying anything else, they watched Frankie grumbling about waking up this early and causing several lightbulbs to lose power with them standing by the bulbs.

"I got this. Knowing how angry I get when I don't get anything to eat, There's always a way to get something quick to eat."

Junior informed the ghouls as he walked over to the upset Frankie as they looked at Junior with a glare as they were not in the mood for a conversation, but their boyfriend didn't care as he gave the reanimated ghoul a hug which resulted in Frankie electrocuting Junior. Ignoring the ten thousand volts flowing through him and responding with his energy, he allowed Frankie to absorb the power he was sharing as the reanimated ghoul's personality started to change from upset to happy as they looked up toward Junior for the hug he was giving them.

"Hi, Junior. While I enjoy the hug and being close to you, what's going on?"

They asked in a curious tone that might have come from not being fully charged when Frankie woke up. Looked at the fear leaders and gestured toward Cleo to have them do a routine at this hour, understanding the situation and getting in line with the ghouls. Junior does the same with Armor and Caesar who wait patiently to hear from the fear captain, Cleo was looking at several discs from her bag on what she would put on for her team when she found a CD that would work for everyone.

"Ghouls and Kaiju. Time to get serious."

Cleo announced to all of them as the eight prepared for whatever training routine she'd put them through as well as find the tune that would get them all motivated. Taking a minute to find the rhythm of the music choice that Cleo had picked out, the mummy stomped her feet to get their attention and fall in line so they understood that this wasn't the time to mess around.

"Never gets old no matter how much I'm told I'm amazing."

Cleo started to sing about herself as being amazing as well as about how it became dull due to her perfect complexion and fear-leading performance. The team already knew about how well-trained she was before becoming the leader of the team, but it didn't help them get as good as her.

"Hard to get tired when I'm always on fire, I'm blazing."

She continued to sing as Cleo walked over to her bag where she pulled out a set of small Anubis guard statues and lined them up in a row where they were wearing individual fear-leading uniforms. Confused with what she was doing, Cleo wrapped her bandages around the miniature statues and caused them to glow mysteriously.

"All my greatness, it doesn't come for free. All my talent doesn't grow on trees. Take a breather, then take it all away. If the top is where you wanna stay!"

Calling out to the ghouls before using her Egyptian magic to make the seven statues increase in size as they were brought to life in a matter of seconds. Growing to the same size as Junior, they fell in line with Cleo and started to act as backup fear-leader recruits they began to perform several of their routines with the mummy princess leading them.

"You gotta work hard! To make it look easy, you gotta live fast, to keep makin' that money. If you want to be as famous as me, you gotta work, gotta work, gotta work! Watch me work."

Instructing the ghouls to succeed was through hard work and countless hours of training in fear-leading as the team watched Cleo's Anubis guards doing the same routines they had done back at school. However, they were flawless with each guard standing tall and not hesitating in their formation which made the gang annoyed at how well trained the guards were.

"Haters wanna be me or be with me. Yeah, they're freakin."

Cleo spoke out on noticing her friends getting jealous about the Anubis guards being perfect unlike the rest of them since they showed no expressions of tiredness or exhaustion. It was important that they felt this, it would inspire them to work harder and get better at their performance when the competition would start. Continuing to watch Cleo's performance, she requested Caesar to participate in the routine as he was able to fit in with the routine and keep up with them.

"I just keep on workin', lurkin', smirkin'. When they think that I'm peakin."

Telling them that to achieve greatness as well as the trophies and attention that they rightfully deserve, they would have to put effort as well as blood in their routines. Cleo walks in front of the guards and commands them to do a pyramid formation with Caesar on top. The gang watched the routine as Cleo was assisted on top where she was able to stand on top of his shoulders to show a perfect pyramid formation.

"All my greatness, it doesn't come for free. All my talent, it doesn't grow on trees. Take a breather, then take it all away. If the top is where you wanna stay!"

She announced in a prideful tone before having her guards and Caesar drop to the ground and let her fall in midair. The group gasps at the sight as they see how high Cleo is but is caught by Caesar who has her perform a graceful landing. With that being done and not wanting to stand around any longer, Clawdeen spoke to the others and decided to show their fear captain what they were capable of which included showing off their dance moves at Cleo and her guards.

"You gotta work hard! To make it look easy, you gotta live fast, to keep makin' that money. If you want to be as famous as me, you gotta work, gotta work, gotta work! Watch me work."

The ghouls and Kaiju sang at Cleo to show they could put in the effort as well as how they were ready for the fear-leading competition. Showing several moves that they hid from the mummy which allowed them to use their natural abilities, along with forming their tower with Iris standing over them.

"If the top is where you wanna stay! You gotta work hard, to make it look easy. You gotta live fast, to keep makin' that money. If you want to be as famous as me, you gotta work, gotta work, gotta work! Watch me work!"

Finishing the song, Cleo watched her fear team standing tall over the Anubis guards and Caesar being ready for anything as well as to go up against the other fear-leading teams. Taking a moment to help Iris down as they stared at Cleo to see if she had anything else to tell them about preparing themselves for what they'd expect during the competition, the silence was interrupted by the door where everyone looked at a ghoul who appeared to be an employee of the resort. She was a plant-based monster with a plate of water bottles and several beverages with a small umbrella over them.

"Sorry for interrupting your training, but I saw how you looked thirsty and might need some nutrition. My name's Venus Mcflytrap, I'm the resort's mixologist in making beverages that keep everyone up and ready to enjoy the environment."

She introduced herself to the team as well as made her way into the room where Venus offered everyone the beverages and drinks for the group, along with the Anubis Guards who didn't require it but accepted to show their respect to the plant ghoul. Junior was cautious about the drink since he'd never had a tropical drink nor was offered one by someone who didn't seem to know him, being the first to drink from the beverage. His eyes lit up with excitement too and he drank it entirely to the point where he ate the cup which left everyone surprised by how enjoyable he found the offering.

"It's alright."

He told the others as they grabbed the drinks off Venus's plate and enjoyed them due to how fruitful they were as well as refreshing. The plant ghoul smiled at how they enjoyed the drinks she made for them and noticed another fear-leading team coming to start practicing, they came from Granite City High as they were a gargoyle fear-leading team. The mummy princess gestured for everyone to head out and saw that they'd been in the training room for about two hours.

"I suppose after seeing you all appearing ready. It wouldn't be an issue in taking some time off and going to the beach."

Cleo suggested taking a break that caused the team to celebrate as well as enjoy the beach that had numerous accommodations that are provided for them. Deciding to get their bags and head out of the room, Clawdeen bumped into one of the employees who were mopping up the floors.

"I'm sorry."

No, it's alright. My mistake."

The person told Clawdeen as she looked at the worker as he was a werewolf. While it was natural for werewolves to be the best workers in any kind of job environment, there was an unusual scent she was getting from him. He had the same yellow eyes as her along with an unusual scent, it was a nature-like smell as if he spent his time in the jungle. The wolf girl wanted to ask him about what type of activities there were in the jungle and if there was a chance to participate, her friends called her out to join them so they could get ready for the beach. Seeing the wolf ghoul going off with her friends and saying goodbye to the worker, the wolf boy looked at Clawdeen's group along with Godzilla Junior whose expression changed to a serious one.

"Venus? Tell Miki I'm going on break."

The wolf boy told Venus as he brought his mop and bucket over to the janitor's closet where he made sure that no one saw him going in. Locking the door and pulling out a small crystal from his pocket, speaking in an ancient language and causing it to make a faint glow. He saw a pair of blue eyes staring at him but he couldn't see the stranger's face.

"What's happening? Is he there?"

Hearing a voice from the other side of the crystal questioning the wolf boy on someone they were looking for was at within the building. Confirming the voice with a nod, the wolf boy went over to the shelves and brought out a bag that had a stick that had the same crystal he was using but was bigger.

"Ready yourself. Once you do this, there is no going back. We await your arrival with the prisoner."

Instructing him about having to face the son of Gojira by himself without any help. Nodding toward the stranger to prepare for a fight that he has been waiting for after his time at the resort, the image of the strange disappeared as the wolf boy gripped the stick in his hand and growled in an aggressive manner of needing to be ready to fight him so that he could bring Junior with him so he could face justice for his crimes.

Later-Bermuda Beach

Just after getting out of their uniforms to beach garments, the gang along with their friends went out to embrace the massive beach that was provided for them since the gang were guests at the resort. Varan was the first to step on the sand due to him being somewhere that wasn't surrounded by battle-crazed Kaiju as well as feeling the wind blowing against his wings.

"We have around a couple of good hours to be out here. So I want everyone to stay in their groups and not stray off, the island has a lot of things that can make anyone wander off."

He advised his students as Varan watched the monsters and kaiju go off to explore the beach to see the sights and meet the rest of the passengers that flew with them. Running head first to the beach were Lagoona, Titan as well as Abby, and Tusk who carried surfboards to catch some waves. On the side were Heath and Rhodey carrying sand-building equipment as they smirked at an idea for what they were going build.

"Thinking what I'm thinking?"

Rhodey asked Heath as the pair started to work on their sand sculpture while the others decided to relax under the sun after the training Cleo had put them through. Draculaura had placed a small area for herself and her ghouls to relax underneath the umbrella as she spent her time reading about vampiric news. Not noticing above her were Frankie and Clawdeen who each was wearing new clothing they had bought before coming to the island, it left the pink-skin ghoul blushing due to her being in a relationship with them.

"From the expression that you're showing to us, it's a sign that you like our clothing. Meaning it was a success! Nice idea to touch it up before coming over to see Draculaura."

Frankie complimented Clawdeen for giving their clothes a chance to look frightening which would get Draculaura's attention and try to mess with their ghoul friend. Not saying a word, the two sat by their vampire witch to look at the view of the ocean where they saw everyone enjoying themselves. Along with seeing Mira flying in the sky as she was partaking in the fresh air and playing with her brother in a water gunfight. Clawdeen noticed that their boyfriend wasn't around since he seemed excited about coming to the beach due to his method of relaxing by being in the water, to which she saw something coming from the far side.

"Hey, ghouls? I just found out where Junior is, and I think he might be trying out something that I heard about back home."

She advised them on the human movies she watched with her dad about beach movies and the cliches that people did whenever they walked out of the water on a hot and sunny day. Emerging from the ocean was Junior who was shirtless and wearing a set of swim trunks, most of the beachgoers saw the king stepping out along saw his scales glowing blue due to how at peace he was during his swimming in the water. They were speechless at how he walked out as he wasn't attempting to look amazing, it made the ghouls sigh at the attention he was giving as well as made Draculaura upset since he was drawing in too many eyes on him.

"Sudden blow of wind a bay, come to me and make him pay."

Casting a small spell as it caused a gust of air to blow across Junior where several items flew at him as well as a sandwich landing on his face. While that would make Junior lash out at the objects coming out of nowhere and hitting him, he felt relaxed along satisfied at getting a sandwich to eat as he walked over to sit by the ghouls.

"Okay. Who are you and what have you done with our agitated dino boy?"

Draculaura questioned him on why he wasn't acting up after the spell she used on him in an attempt to make everyone stop staring at him. Junior only chuckled as he got comfortable with her and made space for the others since they were curious about the sudden shift in his personality after questioning last night's talk on anything unusual happening.

"It's still me. Right now? I feel different, don't know if it's being cautious or finally finding my inner peace. I don't know how to explain it, I feel relaxed. For the first time in a very long time."

He told the three how his entire life he's been fighting to live as well as to accept the burden that had been placed on him by force. Now? Junior feels at ease with being in a relationship with three brave ghouls who accept him for what he is as well as realizing what they are capable of. The four looked over at the sun shining over them watching their friends enjoying each other's company after having impossible odds back at Monster High.

"Nothing can bring you peace but yourself. Ralph Waldo Emerson said that trying to achieve it, is by finding it by one's self. But I think this is the one time that isn't true since we all have it and can share it equally."

Frankie quoted a human poet as they shared a laugh and decided to enjoy the peace that the beach was providing for them. Not knowing from the shadows was the wolf boy who was gripping the side of his stick with the crystal on top of it. Hitting the bottom of the staff upon the dirt, Clawdeen heard a ringing sound coming from the woods where she saw the same werewolf employee she met back in the building. Junior heard it as well and his scales were reacting to the ringing as he looked where Clawdeen was looking, only to see the wolf boy walking backward into the jungle.

"Can't believe I'm saying this, but we should get Varan then go off and explore that wolf out."

He advised her as Clawdeen wasn't listening to him or anything else at the moment as her eyes were drawn by the mysterious wolf boy and the sound he had made. Following her instinct and running toward him, Junior had no choice but to follow as well as the others since they didn't want Clawdeen to get herself hurt. Unable to keep up with her speed and wolf prowess, she was able to track down where the mysterious wolf was as Clawdeen ended up being in the middle of the jungle. Trying to search for him and see why he was staring at her and the others, they were able to catch up with Clawdeen to figure out why she went off on her own.

"This is between me and the killer."

A voice called out above them as the four looked above them to see the werewolf descending toward the ground with his staff aiming toward the gang. The crystal struck the ground and sent the ghouls flying against the trees, Junior was able to ward off the attack and handle the surprise attacker for doing that to the ghouls. He didn't have the chance as the werewolf got the upper hand and struck him with the crystal it was able to pierce through his chest and force him to stay on the ground. The ghouls stood up to try and prevent the werewolf from ending Junior but saw the crystal that was stabbed in the reptile's chest start to glow as it surrounded the two of them.

"This is your only warning. Don't come for him."

The wolf told the ghouls before they disappeared in a bright light leaving a burnt symbol on the ground for them to look at. It was the symbol of an ape paw stained in blood which left the three unsure of what was going on, but it seemed that Junior was involved with something that his father had done that involved the one thing he was known for before he met Pandora, a killer.
