Chapter Four:
Camping with TV Zombies
Away from the beach, Po the Tellytubby was camping out in the woods with Tinky-Winky and a couple of purple-colored Tellytubby friends they knew well. Tonight was, as Po put it, Annual Tubby Camp Out Night, and the group had been looking forward to it for weeks. Just what could even go wrong?
"Tubby custard?" A squat purple Tellytubby requested.
Po passed over a bowl of the Teletubbies' trademark food to him, "Tubby custard."
"Ee-hee-hee. Marshmallow roasting." Tinky chuckled as he waved a marshmallow on a stick over the campfire.
"Who wants to hear a scaaaaaaaaaary story?" Purple Pete asked.
"Ooh, scary story!" Po got giddy.
"Scary story time!" Another purple Tellytubby exclaimed.
Purple Pete, a tall Tellytubby, chuckled and waved his hands over the fire as Tinky-Winky shuddered; "It all begins one night on the beach, when unsuspecting souls were relaxing after a long day, when there is a flash of light. And then, the ground shifts, as the dead rise. This beach night is a night of the zombies, with the seasides being the first place they..."
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Every Tellytubby turned their attention from the fire, right as Fishy Boopkins and JubJub came running into their camp grounds with panic in the former's eyes. Boopkins glanced at the Teletubbies as he dashed over the perimeter, and screamed, "HELP! TV ZOMBIE KENNY FROM SOUTH PAAAAAAAAAAAAARK!"
"JubJub!" JubJub tooted.
"Zombie?! Zombie?!" Purple Pete exclaimed, "Not when I was just tellin' a good story about beach zombies!"
A loud moan filled the woods, accompanied by odd TV signal noises and static sounds. A cry of "eh-oh" resonated out of every Tellytubby, and the camping group looked up, seeing someone squat and wide-eyed in an orange hoodie coat lumbering towards their site, stained in blood with a static-filled eye, his body surrounded by odd static-like particles.
"Nope nope nope nope nope! SO MUCH NOPE!" Tinky-Winky bolted, racing into the forest to find a place to hide, and leaving the others to fend for themselves against this horrific horror that had just appeared.
Po whipped out her pitchfork, and Purple Pete drew a revolver from his Tubby Bag. No zombies were going to screw up the camping on the Teletubbies' watch, especially not a zombie version of freaking Kenny from South Park of all TV shows. The other Teletubbies shot to their feet, ready to confront their uninvited guest.
With each step Kenny took, the environment around him began turning to static like mad. A few trees lost their textures and vanished behind walls of static, and fuzz covered the bushes. Kenny, consumed by pain and hunger, stared at the Teletubbies, and let out a moan.
"ATTAAAAAAAAACK!" Purple Pete yelled, bringing out his inner Soldier, "Let's rip that maggot apart limb-from-limb! Po?! Flaaaaaaaaank left!"
"Tubby custaaaaaaaaaaaaard!" Po threw herself at Kenny, and jabbed her pitchfork at him. She jumped on the undead South Park boy, and kicked him in the head, even as she touched his path of static. Po brought up her weapon, and thrusted it into Kenny's face...
However, when Po's pitchfork touched Kenny, static quickly consumed it. Po shrieked in alarm, and she dropped it quickly. The red Tellytubby began to back away, and looked into Kenny's soulless, pain-filled eyes, and Kenny stared back at her. Po's movements slowed, and time became insignificant in that moment.
Po and Kenny stared at one another, with the latter reflecting in the former's eyes. The Tellytubby's heartbeat quickened, intensifying by the second, and every vein in her body was consumed by anxiety.
What was he about to do?
What was going to happen?
Just then, seconds later, Kenny leaped and grabbed Po, with surprisingly fast reflexes for a zombie. The red Tellytubby wailed, praying desperately for mercy, as pain consumed her. Kenny held on, his gloved hands digging deep into Po, and the other Teletubbies screamed. Po felt her being slip away, and the world around her became consumed with static.
Kenny consumed Po, and whatever else remained of her. He turned his attention to Purple Pete and the rest of the Teletubbies, and advanced on them ominously. In moments, Tubby Camp-Out Night was over.
