It was Friday, a few days since Kim had gotten sick. She was starting to rebound rather well. But today Kim was going to do an interview. It would be recorded since it was to be televised. Kim hated the idea but she wanted her privacy back or at as much as she could. The hope was that the paps would back off after getting the story out there. She wasn't sure it would work but she was willing to try. Kim had woken to find Adam long gone. He had been called in early for a case so she was left to spin and stew alone. She moved to her studio to work out trying to block the spinning from her mind. How much should she tell? How would it be received? Would it change anything? Could this bring her peace? It was definitely a lot to process. But she had no choice in this matter. Brian basically told her she had to do this so she would.

She ate breakfast after she worked out. Then headed to the bathroom to get showered and prepared for the interview. The shower was refreshing and helped relax her sore muscles. She was still sore all over from throwing up so the hot water eased the soreness some. When she finally stepped out she dried off and started to pick her outfit for the interview. She wasn't sure what to wear. She didn't do televised interviews often. And if she did it was at a gala or a red carpet. She looked over several choices texting with Kaitlyn trying to figure it out. They finally settled on a black and white dress with butterflies in the pattern. It was A-line it was slightly off the shoulder but it was nice but not over the top. It was sophisticated, classy, higher fashion but not overly expensive. And it was used for a baby shower so this was a good way to re-wear a dress. She found some comfortable heels to wear. She was thankful they chose to sleep at the penthouse last night. It would have been a nightmare without it. She was able to wear all items from her regular closet so that was a bonus.

She finished her hair before she got dressed. Once she was all set she sent a photo to Brian and Kaitlyn as she headed out the door. She drove to the location of the interview thankful they had worked it out to do it in Chicago. Since she was still under the weather she really had no interest in traveling at the moment. She arrived at the television studio nervous but ready to get this over with. She was told where to go in the building to wait for the interview to start. She was thrilled to see the reporter already there waiting for her. "Kimberly! It's so great to see you again!" G stood to hug Kim as she walked in. "It's great to see you too! Thank you for working with me on the scheduling of the interview." The ladies hugged they settled into the chairs as Kim was hooked up to a microphone. "No worries. Your manager said you were sick so that's not a problem. So for the interview we will talk primarily about your family issues. Then we can talk about your promotional work with Danskin. I get the fiancé conversation can't happen on camera because of his job. So don't worry we respect that and everything he does for the city." G explained as she watched Kim relax.

"Thank you so much for understanding that. I try so hard to protect him and his job. Plus it also affects the people he works with. They all work undercover and have undercover ID's so them getting outed in the media would be a disaster for them. So thank you so much for understanding." Kim smiled wide knowing this was a good thing. "Absolutely! We need to protect our first responders all we can. But I'm so happy for you both. It's clear as day that you are happy and I'm sure he is too." G was happy for Kim. It didn't happen often that celebrities or semi celebrities got to be this happy with a loved one. "We are so ridiculously happy. I think most people are sick of us. Or maybe sickened by us." They both laughed. "Okay let's get this started." They ladies got into position ready for the interview to begin.

"Good evening! I'm here with Kimberly Burgess the lead Ballerina with the Chicago Ballet. She's been in the spot light a lot lately due to family drama being leaked to the media. So she's here to set the record straight about the situation. So thank you Kimberly for being here and speaking with us today." G started the interview. "Thank you so much for having me. And please call me Kim. I'm excited to get this done. I would have rather it stayed buried but unfortunately that is not happening so I guess it's time." Kim shrugged sadly. "I'm sorry you have to relive this. So tell us, what happened to cause the divide in your family?" G asked seeing the hurt loud and clear. "Well it's a very long story but essentially I started dancing at age 5. By 7 I was in my first pointe shoes and started classes in 4 different studios. Trying to remember what name went with which studio. I never had friends, free time, sports. It was dance all day everyday. But at 10 my life changed forever. I was shipped over seas to dance in a company that traveled Europe performing 8 times a week. I had no money, no food. I picked up odd jobs in kitchens where we stayed for money to eat. It was hard and sad." She took a breath before continuing.

"Um around the age of 14 I found out that my family was living in this large house in Annapolis. With fancy cars, country club memberships, boat club membership. I was very shocked and confused. When I returned to Europe I was talking with some other dancers who suggested I call a lawyer. I had no idea why but I did call. When he called me back I found out I was actually get paid to dance in Europe but my parents were spending my paychecks to live." Kim looked flustered but took a sip of water to calm herself. "So you were a child star and the bread winner of your family at age 10?" G asked for clarification. "Yes. Though that was odd to me since I didn't see that. I just saw myself as Kim. So I actually sued my parents to divorce my parents and get reimbursement for what they stole. By 15 I was legally on my own but still under contract in Europe. It was 10 years till heard from them again when they sued me to stop the reimbursement payments. Stating that I owed them. That I became a star because of them. But talent is what makes a star. That was all me. It was contentious for sure." Kim paused trying to control her emotions.

"The judge not only upheld the former ruling but upped the amount they were to pay me back. Told them to get two jobs, to be the adults. I was thrilled, it was a relief. However that didn't last long. That night they showed up at my home. Banging on the door breaking the door open. Screaming at me to stop the payments. They tried dragging me out of my home but the cops arrived. My father had his hand on my throat choking me when the police made it through my door. It took a gun being placed on the back of his head for my father to let me go." Kim cried softly as she was passed tissues from the production staff. "That sounds scary for sure. I guess that makes it clear why you no longer have a relationship with them." G was taken aback. "Yeah pretty much. But it goes deeper. They had a billboard in my hometown with my face on it. They sold their home as a short sake listed as the childhood home of me. They didn't tell me that my own grandmother died while I was in Europe. I didn't get to say goodbye. That breaks my heart more than anything else." Kim was silent again for a moment.

"All of this has made me who I am though. You know driven to charity work. Driven to work hard and not just survive but thrive again. I've been doing all those childhood things I never got to do too. It's been fun lately learning how to roller skate, how to bowl or even just playing mini golf it's been great lately despite the drama with my family." Kim hoped this would be a good Segway into her charity work. "That truly sounds horrific and I'm sorry you had to endure that as a child. And as an adult. I'm glad you have found a great support system to help you through this. So speaking of charity, let's talk about your promotional campaign with Danskin. Tell us how that came about?" G asked excited for her. "Well it's a brand I have worn forever. It's inexpensive, wears great, washes well and lasts a long time. So as they decided to make a line that with support a charity I support, the Dizzy Feet Foundation they came to my manager with an offer to work together. I was shocked to the least but I love it. I thinks it's going to do so much good for so many underprivileged children out there. I'm really excited about it. Next month the line will be introduced. So it's very exciting." Kim was smiling brightly.

"That's great! Can you explain what the charity does a bit more?" G asked unsure of what it did. "So like I mentioned underprivileged children out there who unfortunately end up in gangs. This foundation helps get those kids off the street by giving them the ability to learn how to dance. Giving them a safe space to be who they are and express themselves. But I think my favorite thing is, is that they promote diversity on the stage. I absolutely love that and it's much needed on the stage. It's an absolute joy to help raise more money for such a worthy cause." Kim explained happy to talk about something other than her family drama. "That's wonderful! I agree helping kids off the streets is a great thing and promoting diversity is amazing. You are right though as I've seen many a ballet production they were all caucasian people. So this is fantastic. I can't wait to see the new line. Maybe we can get Bill in some of them!" G laughed as well as Kim. "I would pay to see that!" Kim laughed knowing they needed something positive to laugh about.

"Agreed! I will work on that and send the photos to your dressing room!" G laughed as they continued to talk. The ladies talked for around 20 more minutes till the time was over. Kim's microphone was removed as she stood up. "Thank you so much for letting me interview you today. I'm shocked by what you went through. And can understand why you would rather have this kept under wraps but hopefully this causing the heat to die down. No matter what is said, you made the right call then and now. Just remember that." G was very supportive of what Kim had been through. "Thank you so much for saying that. I've tried to ignore social media but it's been brutal for sure. People wishing me harm for cutting them off. But I'm just trying to focus on the positive in life. My fiancé has been amazing through the whole ordeal, holding me strong and keeping me safe. I would be lost without him for sure." Kim smiled madly thinking about him. "Ah I see why you think people are sick from you two. That smile is blinding! Well thank you again. Good luck! And see you on opening night!" The ladies hugged again as Kim headed out.

She decided to grab food and head to the district. She stopped by her favorite sandwich shop to get lots of sandwiches and options for Adam and his team. It took awhile to make the subs but she made it to the district about an hour later. "Hey Platt! Can you buzz me up please?" Kim asked showing the bags of food. "Of course! You look beautiful by the way." Platt mentioned as she unlocked the door. "Why thank you! Had an interview today so I had to dress up." Kim bowed quickly before heading up the stairs. "Who's hungry?" Kim held up the bags at the top of the stairs. "Hey darling! I'm starving!" Adam rushed to her hugging her then taking the bags. "Thank you for this!" They all hugged her and called Mouse up to get some food too. "Love the dress! You look great!" Adam spun her around looking at the full outfit. "Thank you. I recycled it. But it was sophisticated, comfortable and demure. You that was important. I didn't want to look flashy but I wanted to look good. It was a tough decision for sure." Kim smiled. "Which closet did it come from?" Adam asked unsure. "Oh my regular closet." She smiled again.

"It looks like your high fashion dresses." Adam stared looking at it. "Well it's still higher end. They start at 295. And I think I got this on sale for like 70% off the regular price. It still wasn't cheap but it worked for when I needed it. And now I used it again. Oh and it has pockets!" Kim laughed but so did Adam knowing she loved pockets on a dress. "Even better. So how did the interview go?" He knew she had been nervous. "Um I think it went really well. It was the same reporter from the MET Gala who lives here in Chicago. I really like her as a person and they come to opening night all the time. They are great people. Hopefully it gets edited well. And you weren't mentioned. She told me that she knew it was off limits and completely understood why. So that was great." Kim saw Adam was happy about that. "That's great! I'm happy to hear that! Sounds like you found someone who gets it in the media. Let's hope it stays that way." He held her loving the contact.

"Well I guess we will see after it airs. But I can tell you for sure I'm not watching it. I don't want to watch it. It's unnecessary in my mind." She shrugged a bit. "How's the case going?" Kim wanted to change the topic off of her interview. "It's been busy. I feel like we are making headway though. Hopefully I will be home tonight. Hated having to leave you so early this morning. And we are off this weekend. So we can relax and have fun all weekend like planned." He knew she was excited for the weekend ahead. They planned on going to a farmers market and a carnival which Kim had never been to before. Adam was excited to see her reaction on the rides. The pure joy or terror he wasn't sure which they would see but he was excited either way. "We need some lake time too. Even if it's just the floats." Kim was really enjoying the water. It was getting warmer so they were spending more time in it on a daily basis and weekend were the perfect time to spend all day in the water. "Agreed! I love spending time in the water with you. So let's plan that for Sunday. Especially since we planned the farmers market and the carnival for Saturday." Adam hugged her knowing they were trying to make the most out of every day together.

"Sounds great! I'm nervous but excited about the carnival. I've never been on a ride before." She really was feeling both but the excitement was winning out. "Well we try one ride and if you like it we get more tickets and if you don't we move on. But at least you can say you tried it." He knew it could either way and he was prepared for it. He hoped she loved it because he loved going on rides so he really hoped she loved it. "Very true! But I also want to try all the foods I wasn't allowed to eat. Like not the full thing but sample like I normally do." She smiled bright thinking about it. "Well that's what we will do. You deserve it. Too much was taken from you as a child so we continue to fix that. You will continue to get all those experiences." He watched her beaming with happiness. "Definitely. Okay so let me head home so I can get to work on cleaning the house." Kim stood up cleaning up after herself. "Sounds like a plan. Thank you for lunch and thank you for eating lunch with me." He kissed her softly. "You are very welcome. I will see you later. Be safe my love!" "Love you too darling." He watched her go.

"We love her! And don't tell her but I plan on watching her interview tonight." Erin smiled but knew Kim would hate knowing that. "Oh I'm not telling her. It would drive her nuts knowing that." Adam laughed knowing she would go crazy and super insecure about it. "Did I hear you mention something about a carnival this weekend?" Kevin asked. "Oh yeah she's never been to one so we are going to try one Saturday. I love going on the rides so I'm hoping she loves it too. But either way it's fine. And she is excited to try it. So I'm excited for it." Adam explained knowing it wouldn't be a surprise. "Sounds fun!" Jay admitted. "It does. You guys are more than welcome to join us. I'm sure Kim would love that. And then she can share more of her snacks and not feel guilty about eating them. Most times when she eats bad calories she likes to share those foods so she feels better about it. It's slightly frustrating but I love it too. Because it allows her to try things, eat things that are supposedly bad without all the guilt." He tried to explain it. "That does make sense. And smart given her issues with food. So just enjoy that she's trying and that she's making the effort to stay healthy but enjoy life. She's doing great at balancing it right now." Antonio knew just how bad it was since he worked directly with her on her diet plan.

"She has done an amazing job getting healthy, stronger and really happier. She happy to eat instead of dreading it. She's constantly working to find healthy recipes but not boring. But it's not every meal. She cooks with rice, pasta, cheese. It's also only chicken, turkey or fish. So lean, healthy meats. So done a great job finding a balance." Adam was beyond proud of her for how hard she worked. "We can all see that. Watching her eat that sandwich earlier was really amazing considering she didn't eat in the beginning." Erin had seen how little Kim ate in the first few days so she knew Adam's concerns. "Even that she would normally have them scoop the bread out but get double meat so it's healthier for her." He continued to smile thinking about it. "She really has done great. She just needs to stay on top of it and make adjustments as she starts rehearsing again. But she's doing great. I'm proud of her. And because of her I have more business. The director called me looking for help making plans for all the full time dancers. It's been great!" Antonio was thrilled with the work.

"I'm glad that worked out. Kim had mentioned it. But we weren't sure how it would work out. But I'm thrilled he called you. And Kim will be thrilled too. She's been working with the director over budget issues and this was one of the things they talked about. So I'm really happy for you." Adam texted Kim right away to let her know. She was thrilled for him. "She's thrilled for you! She wasn't sure how it would play out and she didn't to push and get involved she just suggested you and left it at that." Adam was very happy for Antonio but also the people it was helping. "I'm just so happy to be helping the other full time dancers. I'm sure they can all use the help to get stronger and healthier. If nothing else they will be able to eat more. Some look like skin and bones. Massive unhealthy." He shuddered thinking of those poor people following a super strict diet. "Exactly! Let's get back to it. I really want to enjoy the lake with the wife." Adam chuckled as they headed back to work.

The team was working hard as Kim returned to the lake house. She headed straight to their room to get out of her dress and into something easier to wear. She loved the dress but it was over the top for outside lake side. She threw on some booty shorts and a tank top. It was easy and comfortable. Lightweight in the summer heat. She cleaned the kitchen quickly before changing the sheets and starting the wash. She loved having fresh sheets especially with being sick and with their active sex life. She headed to the lake sitting on the dock with her feet in the water. She relaxed lying back on the dock. She loved it here so much. She laid there for a decent amount of time before heading back into the home to change over the wash and to clean the bathrooms. She remade the bed and then headed back to the dock. She decided to take a short nap while Adam finished up the day. He had watched her on the cameras a couple of times but he was happy seeing her napping.

He knew she needed the rest since she was still battling her allergies but also from the interview. It was hard to talk about. It had been hard to live through but having to bring it up again just killed him. He had really hoped her sister would go quietly but that didn't happen. So they were faced with all the pain all over again. He couldn't focus on that right now they were headed out to arrest the suspect. And no one wanted it to go the hard way. They wanted a smooth transaction with no gun fire and no physical violence. They all made their way into the apartment building heading to the third floor. They all stayed on one side of the door as Voight knocked. They heard rustling inside. "Break it down!" Voight ordered as Jay kicked the door in. They heard commotion as they entered the apartment. It looked like two people trying to hide in the apartment as they all came in. Shot were fired and shot were returned. Erin being one of the first in took a bullet to the vest as Adam dragged her body out of the line of fire. "Linds I'm gonna check the vest. Don't move." He watched her nod as he moved her vest checking her out. Antonio was covering them so they stayed safe.

"It didn't go through. Just try to relax." Adam pulled her into his embrace holding her till Jay could get to her. "50-21 Ida to dispatch. Shots fired at the police. I have an officer down, not gravely but injured." Adam kept her steady as they waited it out. "Offenders in custody!" Voight yelled out. "Halstead! Linds took one to the vest! She's okay but we are resting!" Adam called out still not moving Erin too much. Jay ran over to her scared for her. "Hey thanks for getting her safe and holding her till I got back here." Jay sat down pulling Erin to him. "No problem. I saw her go down and pulled her out of the line of fire before I checked it. It didn't pierce but I'm sure she's bruised." Adam stood up giving them a moment together. Voight watched the whole thing. "Thanks Ruzek." The men hugged briefly as the paramedics arrived to asset Erin's injury.

The team took the offenders outside to the waiting patrol cars. Adam and Kevin stayed behind just in case. "Alright it looks okay. Nothing seems broken so just take it easy." Erin nodded sighing heavily but was able to stand. The three men formed a barrier around her as they moved down the stairs just in case. As they hit the street Voight hugged Erin. He hated seeing his daughter injured but it happened on this job. "Alright let's get this finished and then home for the weekend." The partners all got into their vehicles and headed back to the district. It was slow going for Erin but they made it work all surrounding her again as they walked in. She was grateful but also embarrassed. She liked to be seen as a bad ass and this was tarnishing her reputation. But they all needed this to get through the rest of shift. Once in the bullpen Jay helped her settle at her desk as Adam got her an ice pack. He was sure she needed it. "Thanks man. Really thank you. Not just for getting me safe but for the comfort you provided till Jay was finished. I really appreciate it." She tried to hug him but it hurt like hell. "You are welcome! You're family that's what we do!" He smirked as he walked away.

The whole team finished their paperwork and headed home. They were all exhausted from the long day. Adam headed straight home wanting to relax on the dock with Kim in his arms. He knew she had moved around a few times while she was home but knew she was inside at this point since he didn't see her on the cameras anymore. He arrived to find her in the kitchen cooking some veggies. "Hey darling! Whatcha cooking?" He watched her hips swaying a bit. "Hey baby! So BBQ chicken on the grill which is almost done, home made Mac and cheese is almost done and sautéed veggies." She saw him smiling at her. "Sounds good. Thanks for cooking." He kissed her head grabbing a beer from the fridge. "That kind of day?" Kim asked watching him practically chug it. "Um yeah. Erin took one to the vest. She's okay but I watched it happen and pulled her to safety. Once I knew it didn't go through I sat her up and held her tight till Jay was finished arresting a suspect. She was having a hard time breathing with the panic. Not that I blame her. Antonio covered our backs while I kept her calm. It was scary though." He watched her process.

"You are a good friend and team mate. I'm sure they appreciated it. Let's just try to relax tonight." She hugged him a bit trying not to burn the veggies. "Are you mad at me?" He felt like she was upset. "Not really. I'm just tired and allowed what you said to make me insecure but I know I don't have to worry about that. I think if I could just sleep through the night I would feel better." She sighed a bit. "Oh darling. You definitely have nothing to worry about. You have no reason to be insecure. And I know you are tired and this week has been hell so how about we eat some dinner and then head to the dock for some me and you time." He wiggled his eye brows making her laugh. "I know you are right. It just felt like a moment of craziness in my head. But yes let's eat then dock time." Kim bumped his hip as she moved to get the chicken off the grill.

The outside table was already set for dinner so Kim placed the chicken down and headed back in to grab the rest of dinner. Adam had already put the veggies in a bowl right as the timer went off for the Mac and cheese. Kim removed it from the oven. "That looks amazing! Is that cheez its on the top?" He looked at picking off a bit. "Yup! Totally ripped off a restaurant with the idea for it but it's really good." She carried it out to the table while Adam brought the rest. "Well it smells amazing. Let's dig in." He watched the steam coming out of the pan as he scooped some on to his plate. "We need to let it cool for a bit. It was in the oven for 35 minutes." Kim laughed at him. "I can't wait to dig in! It looks so good!" Adam whined a bit. Kim just laughed eating her chicken and veggies while her Mac and cheese cooled off.

Adam couldn't wait, he decided to take a fork full and blow on it to cool it off. Kim watched him shaking her head at him. He took the bite moaning in happiness. "Darling this is so good! What took you so long to make this? You've been holding out on me!" He tried to be offended but Kim just laughed at him. "It's so full of fat! But it's supposed to egg beat into the mixture but it makes it so heavy. So I skip that and honestly I think it's better this way." Kim explained eating a bit of it herself. "Well I like it. And the crunchy topping is great. It's a nice balance of textures." He was happy eating the dinner Kim made for him. "So I may have invited everyone to the carnival tomorrow. I hope you aren't mad about that." He watched her laugh. "It's fine. It would be fun if they came. So I'm not worried about that at all. Sunday it's just us." Kim winked letting him know she was fine with it. "Good. Not sure if anyone is actually joining us but I offered since they heard us talking about it." Adam shrugged a bit. "Again it's fine. I don't mind them coming out with us. It's a good time when we all hang out together." She really was fine with it.

"Great. Dinner is very delicious by the way. Even the veggies. So thank you for cooking again even though you don't feel well. I really appreciate it." He loved this time of night together. "No problem. We really need to stop eating out all the time. I know we can afford it but really this is healthier even when I make stuff like this. I can control the sodium and I know exactly what's in the food. So it's better for us both." Kim didn't mind eating out but this was better in the long run. "I agree! We have enough travel plans later during the month where we don't have the option so we really should take advantage of it." He squeezed her hand lovingly how her mind worked and that she was so thoughtful and caring. "That's for sure! And then September we have that week at the beach with the East Coasters. Not sure you can get the whole week but even half the week would be great." Kim was excited for that trip.

"Right I think I have most of the week off. I'm trying to bank a few for next year. And these long weekends help since I only have to take two days off so I'm able to do more of those." He loved how she loved to travel even for short weekends. "Completely understand. And I planned it before we met so that's understandable. I have tons of time off to travel at different points while you have a set schedule so this will happen. But the airport is only an hour and half from the beach so it's not a bad ride. I'm just happy you are coming with even if only for a few days. It's the same house as last year. So it's 7 bedrooms, 6 and 1/2 bathrooms. Multiple living areas, pool, hot tub, close to the ocean. Great view of the ocean. It's kind of a perfect party house with way less drinking this year with Nicole sober. But there is an outside bar for drinks and what not so I'm sure it will be fun for you too." She saw him nodding along.

"Sounds great. Hopefully we can get some alone time while we are there." He winked at her. "Oh I'm sure we will. Even if we have to be quiet." Kim smiled. "So I stayed on the bottom floor last year. It was just easier with my lungs. But the room I used had a king sized bed, its own bathroom. One of the living rooms, a wet bar with full fridge, laundry was down there. It was just the best place for me. After beach time was over I would shower then venture all the way up for dinner and games since was too hard to go up and down the flights of stairs multiple times a day. Walkable into town, all local owned businesses. It's great. You will love it." Kim smiled pulling out her phone so he could look at the area. Kim moved the dishes back inside loading the dishwasher right away but let the leftovers out for a bit to cool off. She headed back outside to see him still looking at the phone.

"Those place looks relaxing! So calm and peaceful. Just what we need. We aren't even there and I love it already." He pulled her onto his lap to hug her tight. "Well I'm happy to hear that. It's enjoyable for sure. So let's head to the dock to relax some. We both need it." Kim pulled him up so they could head down to the water again. He scooped her up causing her to squeal as they moved to the waters edge. "Let's get this sexy ass on the dock!" He patted her butt as they moved. "Well my sexy ass wants to be on the dock too." Kim moved her body to wrap her legs around his waist. "We aren't going to make it if you keep that up!" He laughed but he,d her tighter so he didn't drop her. "Well I wouldn't stop you." She smiled widely. "Well then let's hurry up then!" He rushed to the dock keeping a tight hold on her. "Not sure how much my lungs can take but we can have fun." She knew the rough, wild fun might not happen tonight since she was still healing some. "That's fine darling! I'm not worried about that. Even if all we do is messing around. Your body needs to heal. And I'm not risking your lungs. I know they are still struggling some. And that's okay. I kind of feel like they aren't fully healed from Covid so I'm good with taking it easy." He kissed her hard.

"It's possible. But my lung function before this was almost perfect. I will admit I have used my inhaler a bit. Mostly in the first few days. So I agree they probably still need to heal more. But it's not even a year out so yeah that's probably accurate." Kim looked into his eyes seeing him worried. "Why didn't you tell me? How bad was it?" He was upset but knew she had the script before he came into her life so it probably wasn't a thought in her mind. "It wasn't as bad as COVID I promise. Maybe once or twice a day. I did okay on the stairs to the bullpen even on the first day. It was more because I just wanted the extra push of support. Maybe more subconscious fear. But I didn't have a moment where I thought I couldn't breathe. It was just support." Kim tried to assure him she was fine. "I get that. And that's okay. Just let me know. More so I know what to look out for. So I know when you grab the inhaler. I've not been around that before so you will need to work with me on this." He saw understanding in her eyes.

"I will when we get back to the house. So you know how it works. And since I'm not asthmatic you won't hear any wheezing. It's a feeling in my throat or heavy breathing like I can't catch a breath. Almost like when you run for a really long time but I haven't been running." Kim shrugged a bit not knowing how to explain it. "That's helpful to know. Do you have more than one?" He wasn't sure how that worked. "I have two. One in my purse and the other in the drawer of the bathroom." She watched him nod. "Okay well if we ever have an event where you can't have a larger purse let me know. I can carry the inhaler in my pocket for you. We do this together now." He loved her so much and holding her inhaler is a small price to pay. "Thanks baby! It kind of tastes stale but if it helps I'm down for it." She smiled wide.

"So let's just mess around for a bit then when we are at the house again, closer to the inhaler just in case, we can go further. I think that would make us both feel better about the situation. Does that work?" He asked as they settled in the dock area. "I think that sounds like a great plan. I've missed the contact. Not just sexually but intimately. I've been sleeping propped up for almost a week and I've missed sleeping next to you, on you. So let's play around." She wink as she straddled his lap. "Yeah let's do this!" Kissing her hard for the first time since she left for London. The couple moaning into the kiss missing the contact. Her hands holding on to the back of his head. Adam moved down her neck allowing her to breathe again easier but not breaking the contact.

"God I've missed this!" Kim moaned as he nipped her pulse point. Never leaving a mark for the world to see. "God me too!" Adam groaned moving her tank top down so he could see her bare breasts again. He could hear she was breathing okay so he moved to her breast. Licking them, nipping, biting and sucking them. Kim was moaning loudly enjoying all the attention she was receiving. "I know darling! I'm loving this!" He groaned feeling her nails gripping the back of his head. "Amazing baby!" Kim groaned. Her fingers moved down his body opening his jeans sliding her hand inside. Her fingers reaching down to caress his shaft. He hissed at the sensation breaking his contact. His head thrown back a bit enjoying her fingers stroking him. "Enjoy it baby!" Kim kissed his neck loving the control she had over him. "Oh I'm enjoying! Never doubt that!" He groaned.

Kim just smirked but worked him till he finished in her hand. "I think we need to head back so I can wash my hand." Kim laughed. "Sounds like a plan!" He laughed too but knew she was right. They straightened up and then headed up to the house to wash up and actually play. As they entered the house they both heard his phone ding. He groaned but washed his hands before picking up his phone. He saw Kim washing up her hands as well as he read the message. "Well apparently your interview aired tonight and it seems like it went well. I have several messages about how well you did. And the fact that you showed emotion during the interview that showed just how affected you are by what happened. Particularly the events after the trial. I'm so proud of you! You did amazing! God I love you!" Adam hugged her tight as she cried a bit.

"I hate that people watched it but I'm happy my message got across the way I intended for it to go. I really don't want people thinking I'm a monster for what I did. For the decision I had to make to save myself. I hated being called a child star in the interview since I don't see myself that way. But it made sense given the situation. Hopefully social media backs off and the paps back off some. I feel like while this was raw it was also freeing. Not hiding my story from the world anymore. Maybe this was healing in a way. Only time will tell." Kim hugged him a bit longer crying soft tears. "Hopefully this is the healing you needed. And hopefully the media attention dies down and you can just focus on being happy, healthy, living your best life. Now let's head to the bathroom so you can show how to use the inhaler." He knew they both needed to move on so they did.

"Okay so this is where I keep it. And it's very easy. You just remove the cap, shake it up a bit, place it in your mouth, then press down on the canister as you inhale. It's supposed to be two puffs but most times I only do one since it's not an attack. But yeah super easy to use. And on the back here it tells you how many puffs you have left so you know when you need to refill it." She handed it over letting him check it out. It was nothing special but it was important to understand its use and its need. "Okay so let's keep this by the bed tonight just in case." He winked it letting her know exactly what he had planned for the night. "Well let's go then." Kim shimmied her chest a bit as she moved to their room. "Yeah let's do this!" He wanted something soft, loving, tender. Hoping her body could handle it and they wouldn't need the inhaler. But he was happy she shared that she had used it this week.

While they were both excited they wanted the connection, the passion, the fire, the heat that burned hot between them. The couple took their time undressing each other sharing tender kisses. Letting their fingers roam each other's bodies. Kim was placed on the bed gently letting her get comfortable on the bed. He made sure she was comfortable before he hovered over her body. He kissed her lovingly as she moves her arms around his neck. He moved his kisses down her body making his way back to her breasts. Kim was moaning softly already loving the attention he was giving her. Adam didn't wait too long till he tested her core finding her ready for him. Not that she was never ready but he liked to check in. He moved back so he could watch the emotions cross her face as he entered her slowly, filling her to the brim. Kim moaned loudly loving the connection. Her arms pulling in for a kiss as he started to slowly move in and out of her body.

Every thrust delivered with such love and power though they were soft. Kim had tears in her eyes as she came. The shocked that she had orgasmed since she hadn't bucked like normal but it wasn't any less powerful for the couple. Adam followed behind her groaning between her breasts. Kim could feel the tears on her chest as they both came down from their highs. "So beautiful baby!" Her hand on the back of his head massaging his scalp a bit. "Agreed darling. So moving. So tender. So loving." He kissed her chest as he rested a bit longer. He moved towards the pillow rolling her body with his. Never breaking the connection. "I hate that we missed this all week but god that was worth it." She leaned in to kiss him. "Definitely worth the wait." He heard his phone ding but he made no effort to move. He would only move if it was a call. Right now he wasn't leaving his hold on Kim.

"You want to play some more?" Kim asked knowing he would be and she felt well enough. "Sounds like a plan!" The couple lasting several more rounds till late into the night. They had a lot of time to make up for but they really just needed to feel each other's skin. It was almost primal, like they needed to feel the other to live. And maybe they did. The couple fell asleep wrapped up together safe, sound and happy. Knowing life was pretty great even with the bumps in the road. It was a sweet ride that was for sure.
