ON A RANDOM DAY DURING A BOYS VS GIRLS GAME OF BASEBALL BETWEEN TEAM DAISY AND WALUIGI…

Daisy: It's just, don't wanna be bothered with Funky...especially not while i'm suffering like this with Waluigi pissing me off whenever you put me against him in baseball

Mario: Well, why not, whats wrong with him?

Daisy: I don't...ugh... I just hate how cocky and showoffish he is. He genuinely annoys the hell out of me.

Daisy crossed her arms and looked away from Mario and let out an aggressive sigh, readjusting her feet in the overgrown grassy field with Waluigi shit talking her with the rest of his team in the background.

Mario: I mean, I've never had a problem with him ever since we've been inviting him to participate in activitie-

Daisy: I DO! I don't care what YOU think of him Mister red and blue, I THINK he's annoying and way too much of a show off, now don't ask me about him again.

All of Daisy's teammates, Peach, Toadette, Peachette, Birdo, Rosalina and Two of the Noki's were eyeballing Mario and Daisy's small little talk during the intermission between the two teams.

Peach let out a worrying sigh in the front of the batting line.

Peach: Welp...This isn't gonna go well

Toadette: If it wasn't for Waluigi being a sick jerk like he always is

She crossed her tiny arms in frustration watching Waluigi just yap away in the background to his team.

Rosalina tried to bring some light to the rest of the baseball game's future.

Rosalina: Toadette listen, if he wants to continue bad-mouthing her and the rest of us then let him, if it gets out of hand, I'll step in, ok?

Toadette nodded and a warm smile appeared on her little face. Rosalina bent down and put her hand on Toadette's head, and rubbed it gently.

Rosalina: It's okay, sweetie. We're all friends here. And friends look out for each other, right?

Toadette: Right.

The intermission bell rang, signaling the end of their break. Daisy took a deep breath, trying to calm down before returning to the game. As she picked up her baseball bat, she could feel the tension in the air thicken.

Peach: Daisy, you okay?

Daisy forced a smile.

Daisy: Yeah, I'm fine. Let's just win this game.

The teams switched their positions and the game resumed. Waluigi was up to bat first since he was team captain, and he waited for Daisy to pitch to him. Once she did, he tried his best to launch it across the diamond field. He managed to barely hit a line-drive across it, with him yelling out in pure surprise to how close it was.

Funky Kong was surprised himself at the back of the batting line on Waluigi's team behind Yoshi and in front of his fellow Kong, Diddy Kong.

Funky: Oh, damn!

Diddy: Did he really hit that?

Funky started cackling to himself and had a Daisy-reminiscent grin on his face.

Funky: pffffft, Yep...sure...

Yoshi: Can you two quiet down a bit? Luigi's tryna bat right now for our team.

Funky: oh shit you're right, my bad bro you're good

Funky Kong still couldn't stop laughing at his own team captains Barely-valid home run, but decided to keep it in as Luigi was up to bat.

There was commotion on Daisy's team of girls however, since Toadette was getting chased by ants, she wanted to switch spots with Peachette, who kindly shook her head.

Toadette: But ants are chasing meeeee!

Peachette: I don't care, I like my spot, it's nice and I can catch fly outs better.

Toadette: Why can't you be nice to me, ever? I don't want these ants to keep chasing meee!

She ran in a circle countless times, breathing heavy with ants crawling on her boots, making her shiver and cry.

Toadette: GET THEM OFFFF! AaaaaaAAAAAAAHH!

Peachette: Oh my god OVER AN ANT? ARE YOU STUPID? JUST FLICK THEM OFF OF YOU!

Her response was more harsh than expected, and it echoed through the field. Everyone's attention was on them now, except for Waluigi who was busy flaunting his barely hit homerun.

Daisy glanced over at her with the rest of her teammates and decided to walk over to her to get the ants off.

Daisy: I got you, Toadette, hold on...

Daisy fixed her Reddish brown hair in the front of her face from the wind and Brushed off all the ants with the bottom of her shoe. She then stepped on them afterwards to make sure they were dead.

Daisy: Ok, that should be the last of em, you're good, girl

Daisy rubbed Toadette's head and made her calm down a bit before running back to the pitchers mound with the ball in her hand.

Next thing you know, it was Funky Kong's turn, he was so tired of standing with a charged pose with his surfboard as his bat, but he managed to keep his cocky energetic grin. Daisy rolled her eyes back once she glanced at Funky.

He signaled a motion with his hands for her to throw the ball at him already, but she got more and more frustrated.

Funky: yo Diddy i'm boutta just dip from playing in this cause she's got some problems, you wanna get some banana flavored snacks or somethin cause I- heheh...I've given up.

Funky laughed and cackled as he Suggested lunch ideas with Diddy out of pure boredom watching Daisy get pissed because of his energetic and showoff personality.

Peach: Well, you gonna pitch or not?

Peach was wiping sweat from her fair-skinned forehead.

Peach: I should've never came out here in all this dirt and grass to play this.

Toadette: Daisy what's wrong.

Funky Kong put a fake concerned look on his face while looking at Daisy getting upset. He started reciting lyrics to himself of a rap song he had listened to earlier that week.

Funky: bro this shit is getting boring bro why is she so mad for?

He looked at Diddy behind him and started Chuckling a bit while holding his surfboard in the same charged pose ready to swing.

Daisy's grip tightened on the baseball, she glared at Funky, who was now trying to get into her head. She knew his tactics, trying to throw her off her game. But she was more than ready for him. She took a deep breath and wound up her pitch.

The crowd, which had been silently watching the drama unfold, gasped as Daisy's arm shot forward, the ball flying towards Funky with surprising speed. Funky's laughter turned to a look of shock as he realized he had underestimated Daisy's skills.

Funky: Ahh shit, she's serious!

He swung the surfboard with all his might, and the ball connected with a loud smack, sending it soaring high into the air. Everyone watched, turns out he got an animation home run. Waluigi's mouth dropped to the grassy floor from the vert back of the batting line.

Funky Kong was hootering and hollering and reciting more lyrics from rap songs as he ran the bases punching the air and doing somersaults. He conveyed so much energetic energy he accidentally almost Bumped into Rosalina who was Daisy's third base person.

Funky: oh my god i'm so sorry Rosa I didn't know you were gon walk back on the actual base, I'm sooo sorry miss rosa my apologies.

He kept apologizing as he ran from 3rd base to home base, and he did a front flip into a Ground pound, with everyone on his team cheering for him and high fiving him, except for Luigi and Yoshi.

Wario: Ay Am I next after Diddy? i thought Luigi was in front of-

Luigi: No No, I'm behind you, Waluigi's after Diddy since he's the last player before the Line restarts.

Wario: oooOOOOOooooh-

Wario stopped himself from speaking as he glanced at Daisy from across the field flailing her arms about arguing with her teammates.

Wario: Your "crush" is having a moment, you might wanna take care of it... "Weegee"

He let out a snicker which made Luigi's cheeks get red, he had a moody expression.

Luigi: it's not funny, you and Waluigi need to stop this, you're tearing one of out friends apart for no reason.

Wario's eyes widened as he said that.

Wario: MEE!? I barely mess with her, thats Waluigi, but I kinda don't blame hi- ohhh shit that's a monstrous hit...

Diddy Kong managed to also get a play animation home run, only this time it was much more noticed, since he doesn't ever hit home runs, like...ever.

Diddy: WWWHAAAT!? OK THEN I'LL TAKE THAT TOO, I DIDN'T MEAN TO DO THAT HAHAHAHAHAHAHA-

Diddy bounced with his tail around the bases as Daisy breathed in, only to let out a scream on the mound.

Peach was startled by this and froze up from across the field and forgot to pick up the ball.

Toadette and Rosalina covered their ears from how loud and ear piercing her screaming was.

Funky: ughhhhaaaAAAAHHHhh! Why!? Why does she act like this I don't get i-

Luigi: FUNKY!

Funky: Ugh, Luigi you're no fun bro...

Funky Kong tried talking to himself low about her screaming in rage from where the pitcher mound was.

Funky: I didn't do nothin' man, I'm just trynna hit the ball here, she's too sensitive...

The look on Daisy's face was a mix of anger and embarrassment, the tension was so thick, you could cut it with a knife. She took a step back, took a deep breath and composed herself.

Daisy: (to herself) Focus Daisy, you got this.

As Daisy got ready to throw the next pitch, she took a moment to survey her team. Peach was in left field, looking concerned, and the rest of the team was equally confused by her outburst.

Peach: Daisy, seriously, are you okay?

Daisy: Yeah, I'm fine, I just... need to focus.

Her voice was shaky, but she nodded firmly.

Peach: Alright, but if you need a break, just say so. We're all here for you.

Daisy took a deep breath and nodded again, her grip on the baseball tightening.

The crowd was dead silent, all eyes on Daisy as she wound up for the next pitch. The ball left her hand and shot towards the plate, and what do you know, it was Waluigi again.

Waluigi: Welp, I think we win bois, they can't come back.

Funky: Yea you're good bro just don't rub it in though, cause shes gonna crash out if you do

He put his hand over his mouth after saying that, and started breaking into laughter while looking back at Diddy Kong.

Daisy let out an aggressive sigh as she heard him from where she was standing.

Waluigi took his spot at the plate, the wind playing with his mustache hair as he waited for Daisy's pitch. He looked over to the crowd and gave them a wink.

Waluigi: Watch and learn, folks!

Daisy threw the ball with a mix of anger and determination, and it was clear she wasn't going to hold back. The pitch was fast and straight, and Waluigi's eyes widened as he realized he had underestimated her once again. He swung his bat with a grunt, the metal connecting with the leather-covered sphere with a satisfying crack.

The ball soared through the air, heading straight for the fence in center field. Peach took off after it, her skirt fluttering in the breeze as she sprinted. The crowd held their breath as they watched the play unfold.

Peach: I've got this!

Peach leaped into the air, her golden hair flying behind her, and she reached out to snag the ball. Time seemed to slow down as her glove closed around it, and the crowd erupted into cheers. She landed gracefully, a triumphant smile on her face.

Daisy: NICEEEE! YESSS! SUCK MY DICK WALUIGI!

Waluigi stood frozen halfway around the bases, looking at her aggressively jumping screaming and celebrating.

Funky: damn she actually caught that.

Diddy: You going after Peach now? What she do?

Funky: no no, I got nothing against her, I'm just surprised she went for that.

Luigi was fed up with Funky's arrogance and went up to Daisy.

Funky: oh shit...

Diddy: Welp, you're cooked

Funky: Over what? Flexing my skills and playing said game, ok, makes sense.

He startled laughing to himself again as he glanced to see Luigi telling Daisy about what Funky Kong was doing.

Peach continued to wipe sweat from her head as she was about to throw the ball back to Daisy, but she saw Luigi from the other team standing next to her talking to her about something.

Peach: What's going on?

Daisy was fuming red as she pointed at Funky Kong, who had his hands in the air as if to say "Who, me?"

Daisy: He's just being a giant dick, as usual.

Peach looked over at Funky, who was now pointing at the scoreboard with a smug expression.

Peach: What did he do now?

Daisy: He's just being his usual cocky self, trash talking us and acting like we're all just here for his amusement.

Peach nodded, understanding the situation. She knew Funky could be a bit much at times.

Peach: Well, let's just finish the game and get out of here, okay?

Daisy took a deep breath and nodded, trying to calm herself down.

Daisy: Yeah, you're right. Let's just win this.

The game resumed, and despite Daisy's best efforts to keep her cool, every play that involved Funky Kong seemed to push her closer to the edge.

Funky: Hey Daisy, you know what would be funny? If I stole your crown when you're not looking.

He said this as he was jogging back to his position in the outfield, snickering to himself.

The crowd was getting into it now, the tension palpable as the teams went back and forth, scoring runs and making plays.

Toadette: He's so annoying today!

Peachette: Ok, miss ant girl, haha

Toadette let out a worrying whine as she walked back to her position in the outfield.

every interaction between Daisy and Funky. Toadette expresses her irritation, and the game's excitement grows as the teams remain competitive.

Rosalina let a deep sigh out, dripping in sweat with her hand on her face shaking her head, fixing her giant blonde bang over her face in the process.

Funky started doing dance signs with his hands as he watched Wario wind up his bat to pitch after Daisy threw it to him. He struck it clean, giving him yet again another animation home run.

Funky: OH DAMN!

Diddy: THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT!

Luigi let out another sigh as he ran from 2nd base to home.

Luigi: I hate this so much man...L- like really.

Waluigi's team was winning by a landslide, and it was all thanks to Funky Kong carrying them with endless homeruns.

Funky: Alright Yoshi Lets make this LAST HOMER COUNT! YEEEEAAAAAAAH!

Waluigi's whole team started cheering and chanting "Make it count" once Yoshi started to wind up his bat.

Daisy's breathing got heavier as she threw the ball, she swallowed some saliva in her mouth to help ease herself before losing it.

As soon as Yoshi swung his white and green bat, He got an animation home run, this was the fourth time in a row that Waluigi's team got a home run that was an epic cinematic.

As soon as the animation happened, Waluigi's whole team bursted into Screams and yell's of cheering. Funky Kong did a triple front flip, ripped his tank top and beat his chest relentlessly while skipping and running across the field. Waluigi did a dance at home base waiting for Yoshi, who was too afraid to say or do anything but just play. He had a frown on his face from what had been going on the whole game and just ran the bases slowly.

Rosalina saw him Let out a sigh and asked him what was wrong.

Yoshi: I don't know, I just feel like we're not playing fair, everyone's picking on Daisy and she's getting so upset.

Rosa walked closer to him, trying to not run into Funky and Diddy running skipping and gloating around the field over their win.

Rosalina: Awww, don't feel that way, the teams were fair it's just, you're team is a little too...well...arrogant, at times.

As Rosa went in and put her arm around Yoshi, he got a whiff of her amazing yet eye watering natural scent and zoned out For a minute.

She walked him back to home base, quickly running out of the way as Funky ran close to her direction still screaming and jumping up in the air.

Waluigi: WE DID THAT!

Funky: Good shit bois, we cooked that whole game

Wario: Yesss! Waaaaario Numba Onneee!

Luigi just sadly looked at the ground, walking towards Daisy who was trying to keep herself together as Funky uttered something that would tear her apart.

Funky: Yo Waluigi you're team play skills impressed me, like no lie I didn't expect Diddy to go off like that with that Home run tho, including that Peach catch.

Wario: She was cooking for a bit with that catch on Wal, I can't lie about that.

He took off his yellow hat and scratched his hair only to be startled by Daisy in the background with her team of girls around her.

Daisy: Cooking?! That's all you guys do is show off and be annoying, Funky!

Her voice was full of anger and frustration. Funky turned around and faced Daisy with a surprised look.

Funky: What?! Okay...whatever, Just admit I'm better than you at pretty much everything.

Waluigi: Yeah Funky, you showed her who's boss out here!

Funky: Didn't I tell ya? Didn't I tell ya? Didn't I tell ya?

The crowd cheered as Funky talked smack to Daisy, not knowing the storm that was brewing.

Funky: And Peach's catch was like, way better than what you did out there Daisy. You're lucky to be playing with us.

Peach: Hey now, that's not very nice to say.

Funky: Oh come on, Peach, don't get all sensitive on me. You know I'm just kidding around.

But Daisy's face grew redder by the second, her eyes burning with anger.

Daisy: (from across the field) What the hell did you just say about my skills?

Funky: What? You heard me, I said you got beat by Peach, no big deal, you're still pretty good for a big booty princess.

The rest of Waluigi's team Groaned, and peachettes eyes widened as she dropped her glove.

Daisy threw down her glove and screamed at the top of her lungs, with tears forming in her eyes. She crossed her arms and ran over to Peach with her hands all wet from trying to wipe her tears away.

Diddy: I think you made her cry Funky...

Waluigi: What the fuck did you do now?

Funky: What? I was just saying-

But before Funky could finish his sentence, Daisy was already storming towards him, her fists balled up at her sides.

Daisy: Don't you ever talk about me like that again!

Funky took a step back, his smug grin faltering.

Funky: Daisy, calm down, it was just a joke.

Daisy's eyes narrowed, her voice shaking with anger.

Daisy: I've had enough of your jokes and your arrogance!

The crowd grew quiet as the tension between the two grew stronger.

Mario: Daisy, let's just cool down, okay? It's just a game.

Daisy ignored Mario, her gaze locked onto Funky.

Peach: Funky, maybe you should apologize.

Funky opened his mouth to respond, but before he could, Daisy launched herself at him, pushing him to the ground.

The teams and the crowd gasped as Daisy started throwing punches, her tears mixing with the dirt on her face.

Daisy: I'M SICK OF THIS SHIT!

Funky managed to block some of the blows, but he was caught off guard and didn't retaliate.

Waluigi: Daisy, stop!

Ignoring Waluigi's call, Daisy continued her assault. It was clear that she had reached her breaking point.

Mario and Diddy rushed to separate the two, pulling Daisy off of Funky.

Mario: Daisy, that's enough!

Diddy: Funky, you okay bro?

Funky nodded, though his pride was clearly bruised more than his face.

Funky: Yeah, I'm fine. But she's lost it.

Waluigi helped Funky up, a concerned look on his face as he glanced at Daisy, who was now being consoled by Peach and Rosalina.

Waluigi: Daisy, why'd you have to go and do that?

Daisy wiped her eyes, looked up at Waluigi, and mocked his voice.

Daisy: You were part of the problem too! Including Wario!

Waluigi: What the fuck is your problem?!

Daisy's words stung more than any of the teasing she had endured throughout the game.

Peach: Maybe we should all just calm down and talk about this.

Daisy: I'm over this...I'm...I- i

Rosalina pulled her in for a hug to try and calm her down.

Daisy's vision over Rosa's arm went blurry as more tears filled her eyeballs.

Rosalina: Shhhhhhh, don't cry ok. Don't pay attention to it.

Peach: Funky, you really need to apologize.

Funky: For what? It was just a joke, you're all too sensitive.

Waluigi: Yeeeaaaahhhh, Funky, The booty shit you said is your problem not mine, Wario do you wanna go annoy Luigi or something, he left to go to one of the Toad towns.

Wario: eehhh why not, all this baseball is boring anyway.

With that, Wario and Waluigi left the field, leaving Funky Kong to face the music. Daisy's sobs grew quieter as she pulled away from Rosalina's embrace.

Daisy: I'm sorry guys, I just... I can't handle it anymore.

Toadette: It's okay, Daisy, we understand.

Peachette: Yeah, some people are just jerks.

Daisy nodded, trying to compose herself.

Daisy: Thanks, I just need a minute.

Peach gave her a comforting pat on the back before she and the rest of the girls headed towards the dugout.

Funky remained where he was, standing next to Diddy Kong, a bee flew by both them very slowly.

Diddy: Funky?

Funky: yea?

Diddy: Are you sure this was worth all the drama?

Funky: Well...maybe...I mean Daisy wants to fry me but atleast we wo-

Diddy: I don't know man. The other girls are on you too, not just her.

Funky: Maaaaan, I'll bet she's gonna be fine tomorrow, it's probably just her going through her period, let's go get some of those banana snacks I told you about earlier.

Diddy: Um, o- ok... i guess, but let me go Tell Daisy something real quick, I made her a 3D printed flower the other day and i wanted to show it to her.

Funky Shrugged as He watched Diddy run into the dugout locker area and Waited a bit at the edge of the fenced gate till he came out.

Diddy: Um, Daisy?

Daisy was surrounded by Peach and Toadette, rubbing her back on a bench while Rosalina was drinking water near where her purse was, drenched in sweat.

Daisy: what is it, I'm not feeling too good.

Diddy: Um, Funky said you were on her period, and he blamed your outburst on that...yeaaah...

Peach and Toadette gasped and Rosalina face palmed while groaning.

Daisy: Of course he-

She smacked the bench with her hand mid sentence.

Daisy: FUCKING KNEW IT! i HATE Funky Kong soooo much man...

She let out an uneven sigh and got up. She got off the bench and went into the bathroom to try and calm herself down for the second time. Peach got up and followed her shaking her head.

Peach: You go with Funky, I'm done. Y'all can leave now.

Diddy gave a thumbs up and Hopped out, and Went back to Funky who was standing at the gate opening to the baseball field.

Funky: sooooo, we getting those banana snacks now?

Diddy: I guess so.

Funky shrugged and walked out of the field with Diddy Kong And used his phone to locate to nearest baked goods and snacks store in the distant Toad town near Peach's castle.

Meanwhile, in the dugout, Peach was trying to console Daisy, who was now sitting in the locker room with her head in her hands.

Peach: Daisy, you know Funky is just trying to get under your skin. Don't let him win.

Daisy: It's not just him, Peach. It's everyone. They all think they're so much better than me just because I'm not as good at baseball.

Peach: That's not true, Daisy. You're amazing at so many other things.

Daisy: Like what?

Toadette and Peachette exchanged glances, unsure of what to say.

Toadette: Well, you're a great guitarist!

Daisy: That's not the same as playing sports.

Peachette: And you're really good at organizing parties!

Daisy: Yeah, because I'm a princess. That's what people expect from me.

Rosalina put her hand on Daisy's shoulder, her eyes filled with concern.

Rosalina: Daisy, you can't let them get to you like this. You're so much more than what they think you are.

Daisy: It's just... I want to be good at everything, you know? I don't want to be the weak link.

Peach: You're not the weak link, Daisy. And if Funky can't see that, then screw him.

Daisy looked up at Peach, a small smile playing on her lips.

Daisy: Thanks, Peach. You guys are the best.

The group hugged, their friendship stronger than ever.

Peach: Now, let's go get some ice cream and forget about this whole mess, deal?

Daisy nodded, wiping away her last tear.

Daisy: Deal.

The girls left the locker room, ready to move on from the drama-filled game.

Out in the town, Funky and Diddy were at the snack store, filling their bags with banana flavored goodies.

Funky: ohh yes, these were The things I was talking about.

The waitress was nowhere to be found as They botj stood there, the fan blowing their fur and Funky Kong's bandana in multiple directions.

Diddy: Wheres the Person thats supposed to ring Our stuff up at?

Funky: I don't know...oh, nevermind they're coming.

The door chimed and in walked a young toad wearing a apron that was covered in flour.

Toad: Oh, I'm sorry for the wait, I was just in the back making more snacks, what can I get for you two handsome gentlemen?

Funky: Oh, you know, just the usual banana flavored snacks, and make sure you give us the good stuff, we're the winners of the baseball game!

The toad looked confused, he hadn't heard of any baseball game.

Toad: Uh, congratulations? Did you play for the Peach's team?

Funky: Naaah, we played for Waluigi's team, the winning team obviously.

Diddy looked at Funky like he had two heads.

Diddy: Funky, we didn't win, we were just playing around, remember?

Funky laughed it off, tossing a bag of snacks into their basket.

Funky: Oh right, right, just playing around, hehe.

The Toad went to the register and started scanning their items.

Toad: That'll be 20 coins please.

Funky slapped down a wad of coins and the toad counted them.

Toad: Uh, sir, that's a bit too much.

Funky waved his hand.

Funky: Oh, keep the change, good luck with the ants outside, I saw a bunch of them.

Diddy grabbed the bag and nudged Funky out the door before he could cause more trouble.

Outside the snack store, they heard faint sounds of a fight, they turned around and saw a group of Goombas bullying a tiny, defenseless creature.

Diddy: Funky, come on, let's go help it out.

Funky rolled his eyes.

Funky: Do we have to? Can't we just eat these snacks and leave?

Diddy: No, we can't. It's not right, let's go.

They approached the group of Goombas who were now surrounding a small, quivering luma.

Diddy: Hey! Leave it alone!

The Goombas turned to face them, grinning maliciously.

Funky: Oh boy, here we go again.

The Goombas lunged at them, but Funky and Diddy were quick on their feet. They dodged and weaved through the clumsy creatures, tossing snacks at them to distract them.

Funky: Ha! Take that, you little buggers!

Diddy: Funky, not the snacks!

The Luma looked up at them with wide eyes, and in a flash, it grew to a giant size and started fighting back.

Giant Luma: Thank you! I'll handle it from here!

Funky and Diddy watched in amazement as the Luma knocked the Goombas out of the park with ease.

Funky: Holy shit, that was...that was pretty cool.

Diddy: Yeah, but we shouldn't have used the snacks as weapons.

Funky: Ah, come on, Diddy, lighten up. We're heroes!

They turned to leave, but the giant Luma called after them.

Giant Luma: Wait! Thank you for helping me. Take these coins as a reward.

It handed them a bag filled with golden coins.

Giant Luma: I'm okay now, but if you ever need help, just remember to call for a Luma!

With that, the Luma shrunk back down to its original size and skipped away.

Funky: Diddy, we just got paid to eat snacks and kick Goomba ass.

Diddy: Funky, language.

They both laughed and continued down the street, their friendship unshaken by the earlier drama.

Meanwhile with Daisy, Toadette, Peachette, Rosalina and Peach...

SUMMARY1: Funky and Diddy's involvement in the fight against the Goombas is initially motivated by self-interest, but the situation takes a surprising turn when the Luma they're protecting grows and fends for itself. Despite Funky's joking manner, the Luma's gratitude is genuine, offering them a bag of golden coins. This encounter showcases an underlying goodness in Funky and provides a humorous twist to the narrative, reinforcing their bond. The group's unity remains intact despite the earlier tension, and they continue their day, with the Luma encounter serving as a brief intermission from the drama.

Daisy's cheeks were stained with tears and dirt, but she managed to stand up, her determination to move on from the day's events clear.

The 5 girls were second in line near the ice cream store.

Rosalina: Toadette what type of ice cream do you want, I'll play for everyone else too.

Toadette: Oh wow, thanks so much! I'll have a mint chocolate chip please.

Peachette: And for me, I want rainbow sherbet.

Peach: I'll have strawberry, and Daisy, what's your favorite flavor?

Daisy: um...Mint chocolate chip...please

She tried to keep her spirit up while looking at the overhead menu.

Rosalina rubbed her head with her hand and waited until the customers in front of the girls finished ordering.

Rosalina pointed to the items everyone wanted when the time came to order.

The toad at the counter looked at her with a smile.

Toad: That'll be 20 coins please.

Rosalina handed over the coins with a smile, her right arm around Daisy's tear-stained face.

Rosalina: It's on me today, girls.

The toad counted the coins, and with a tip of his hat, handed them their ice creams.

Toad: Enjoy your treats!

The group of friends took their ice creams and found a quiet spot to sit on a nearby bench under a giant mushroom that served as an umbrella from the setting sun.

Daisy took a bite of her mint chocolate chip ice cream, the cold sweetness helping to ease her anger.

Daisy: You guys didn't have to do that.

Peach: Oh, Daisy, you know we've got your back.

They all took a moment to enjoy their ice creams, the sweetness of the desserts contrasting with the bitter taste of the day's events.

Toadette: So, what do we do now?

Daisy: I don't know, I just want to go home.

Peachette spoke up, her eyes sparkling with an idea.

Peachette: Why don't we have a sleepover at Peach's place? We can play games, watch movies, and forget about the baseball game.

Rosalina: That's a good idea, Peachette.

Daisy's eyes lit up a bit, the thought of spending time with her friends helping to push the negative thoughts aside.

Daisy: Yeah, I'd like that.

The group nodded in agreement, and they started to make their way to the castle.

Back to Funky and Diddy Kong...

Funky: Diddy, we're rich now! We should throw a party sometime.

Diddy: A party? With what money?

Funky: With these gold coins from the Luma, obviously.

Diddy looked at the coins in the bag skeptically.

Diddy: Funky, those are just regular coins, we can't throw a party with this.

Funky: Oh, come on Diddy, where's your spirit? We can totally throw a party! Besides, we can always hit up Cranky Kong for some extra cash.

Diddy: Funky, he's not going to just give us money for a party, especially after what you said to Daisy.

Funky: Eh, details. We'll figure it out. But first, let's head back to DK Island before it gets too dark.

They made their way to the barrel plane that Funky had parked earlier, the sun dipping below the horizon.

SUMMARY1: The group of friends, led by Peachette's suggestion, decides to have a sleepover at Peach's castle to lift Daisy's spirits and move past the day's drama. This decision underscores the strength of their friendship and their desire to support one another. Concurrently, Funky and Diddy are contemplating their newfound wealth from the Luma's reward. However, their conversation reveals that the coins may not be as valuable as Funky initially thought, and the idea of asking Cranky Kong for money introduces potential future conflict. They decide to return to DK Island, leaving the reader to wonder how the evening will unfold and if their paths will cross with the sleepover group.

Funky climbed into the pilot's seat and started the engine, the roar echoing through the quiet town.

Diddy: Are you sure you can handle flying this thing?

Funky: Positive, I've been flying planes since before you were a twinkle in your mother's eye.

Diddy: That doesn't make me feel better.

They took off, the wind rushing past them as they soared into the sky. The sun was setting, casting a warm orange glow over the clouds.

Funky: Look at that view, Diddy, it's like a giant, fluffy pancake.

Diddy: Funky, focus on flying!

The barrel plane rattled and bumped through the air as Funky swerved around birds and clouds. Diddy's knuckles turned white as he gripped the side of the plane.

Diddy: Funky, maybe we should land and just walk back.

Funky: Relax, Diddy, I've got this.

But as they approached DK Island, Diddy's eyes started to droop, and his head nodded. The excitement of the day and the adrenaline from the fight had caught up with him.

Funky: Diddy, wake up! We're almost there!

Diddy: Zzz...what? Oh, sorry, I guess I'm just really tired.

Funky chuckled, trying not to let his own exhaustion show.

Funky: Don't worry buddy, I'll get us there. Just a little nap won't kill ya.

SUMMARY1: Funky and Diddy's journey back to DK Island is marked by Funky's overconfident flying skills and Diddy's skepticism. Despite the comedic banter, the scene sets a light-hearted tone as they return home after the eventful day. The mention of Diddy's fatigue hints at the physical toll of the day's events and suggests that the characters are moving towards a resolution or rest period. Their safe arrival at DK Island is left unsaid, but the anticipation of their potential reunion with the sleepover group adds another layer of narrative tension.

SUMMARY2: The group plans a sleepover at Peach's castle to support Daisy. Funky and Diddy, now with golden coins, consider asking Cranky Kong for money, hinting at future conflict. They leave for DK Island, with Funky's overconfident flying adding humor. The narrative leaves their reunion with the sleepover group uncertain, creating anticipation.

Diddy leaned back, his eyes closing, and before he knew it, he was out cold. Funky glanced over, a bit concerned, but decided to shrug it off and keep flying.

The sun had almost disappeared now, leaving only a faint pink hue in the sky. Funky had to squint to see the runway as he brought the plane in for a slightly bumpy landing.

When the plane finally came to a stop, Diddy stirred, rubbing his eyes sleepily.

Diddy: Are we there?

Funky: Yeah, we're home. You passed out, you know.

Diddy: Did I miss anything important?

They both stepped out of the plane, the cool night air hitting them like a refreshing slap in the face. Funky stretched, his muscles complaining after the tense flight.

Funky: Nah, just a bunch of boring clouds and birds.

Diddy: Good, because I don't know how much more of your flying I can handle.

They started to make their way back to the DK house, the lights of the island twinkling in the distance.

Funky: So, about that party...

Diddy: Don't even start. We need to make things right with Daisy first.

SUMMARY1: Funky and Diddy reach DK Island after a less-than-smooth flight. Upon landing, Diddy expresses his relief and teases Funky about his flying skills. However, the conversation quickly shifts to the seriousness of making amends with Daisy. This indicates that the characters are beginning to reflect on their actions and the importance of repairing relationships, setting the stage for potential reconciliation or further conflict in the narrative.

Funky's face fell a bit as he landed the plane in front of his garage by the DK house. The purple sky hue slowly getting darker as he took the bags of snacks they bought earlier out.

He let Diddy Kong out of the passenger seat, and carried the tired small chimp humanoid up the ladder in to the DK House.

He quietly walked him up the stairs to his small wooden bedroom. And sat his stuff down back in the small kitchen area. Glancing out the moonlit window, then seeing Dixie Kong Snoring on the cough with the analog TV dimly lighting the living area.

He sighed and opened the fridge to grab a beer, popped it open and took a swig, letting out a satisfied 'Ahh'.

He walked over to the living area, trying not to make any sounds, and cracked a small warm smile as he saw her peacefully resting softly groping a pillow in her hand.

He bent down a bit, kissed and rubbed her blonde forehead and Whispered a soft goodnight in her ear before tip toeing back upstairs.

He went to his larger area with his balcony and outside hammock, slipped on his pajama pants and fell asleep over the moonlit sky climbing into it.

His bandana slowly covered his eyes and shades as they slowly drooped downwards, and soon enough they fell off, on to the balcony platform below.

SUMMARY1: Funky safely lands the plane and carries the sleeping Diddy to his room, showing a rare moment of tenderness and care for his friend. The quietness of the DK House and the sight of Dixie Kong sleeping underscore the peacefulness of the night. The scene transitions to Funky's own private space, where he relaxes with a beer and observes the serene moonlit night. His actions suggest a contemplative mood, possibly hinting at his own thoughts about the day's events and his relationship with Daisy. The physical intimacy of the scene contrasts with the earlier tension and sets a reflective tone for what is to come.

He tried not to think of the mental pain he brought to Daisy during the baseball game, and took his mind iff of it, trying to sleep. Sooner or later, he managed to doze off, passing out.

The DK House got slapped with the moon's dim light as it was cascading over the lucious forest filled landscape as everyone inside was fast asleep, and Funky Kong's energetic sassy actions earlier at the baseball game were still lingering in everyone else in the Mushroom Kingdom.
