So...The RPG Adventure Provides Seven Death Traps (And says the Dungeon Master is free to think up more if they want to include more players) and while seven is a lucky number it also doesn't divide evenly so here we have the final Death Trap for Goku the Shiba Inu and also kind of an 'Intermission' where we check up on the other characters before we move to the next series of tests
With no other options left Goku had to choose the final door...He sighed to himself...For all his swaggering, he could be quite cowardly, like the time he flaked out and didn't help Rover with the Creepy Humanimal Wolf Minstrel...And he was the one with the psychic powers, not Rover! He was grateful Aran Ryan couldn't see him right now and see him being a wuss and letting everyone else including all the Mutant Girls go before him…
So in what has become very familiar by this point the door bolts closed behind him...However Goku immediately noticed what was on the door on the opposite side...The word 'Failure' he felt the blood drain from his face under his fur and a shiver go down his spine and his ears folded back...It seemed the universe itself was taunting him given his current thoughts!
He was so shocked by that he didn't notice there were holes in the ceiling and floor of the room until he heard a hissing sound come from above and Goku looked up and saw a blue gas seeping out from the ceiling, then he caught a whiff of an unpleasant smell and saw there was some kind of red gas seeping up out of the holes in the floor!
The bluish gas must be lighter than air because it was staying close to the ceiling, by the same token the red gas must be heavier than air because it was staying close to the floor...But the more gas that was being pumped in Goku could tell it wouldn't be long before the two gases met...The two gases while unpleasant were breathable...But Goku knew it was only a matter of time...He clutched his head and wished he wasn't such a Knucklehead! It seemed like the door's inscription was just mocking him...Wait...Remembering the message that everything needed to escape would be in the room...Goku ran over to the opposite side and touched the word 'Failure' the part of the door that bore the inscription was not made of metal but was instead painted plaster! Goku punched through the word and that caused a 'Click' somewhere in the ceiling and the gasses were sucked out of the room...The door opened and despite thinking of himself a 'Knucklehead' Goku immediately got the meaning the puzzle! That 'failure' shouldn't exist in the vocabulary of a ninja it should be an obscenity!
And while every Mutant Student took their tests...Someone was watching, not via cameras, in a pitch black room sat what looked like a very old man with a long white beard dressed in what a Westerner Might Imagine were 'Wizard's Robes' but the Average Japanese would just assume were very elegant traditional robes...When he opened his eyes one could see the Mutant Students undergoing their trials in the reflections of his eyes!
"Good...Very good…" He said quietly to himself "...Just as I suspected, their inner voice is strong! So many actual human beings are completely overtaken by animalistic panic and can't solve a simple puzzle! Despite me giving them very obvious clues on how to solve them! But these creatures...Yes...They are different…"
Meanwhile at the Turtles' Lair the other three brothers had brought the drunk and out cold Leonardo and it pained Splinter to see his son in such a state...But he knew what had brought Leonardo to drink himself into a stupor! Feeling he had to give his best students willingly or else the Ninja Tribunal would abduct them and he wanted to spare them one element of the trauma...But he could tell Leonardo felt like Abraham when he was told he had to sacrifice his son...Splinter got out smelling salts and prepared a traditional hangover cure...He found himself really hating the Ninja Tribunal more than ever...He could understand what they did when they world was in danger from the Tengu Shredder...But this?! This wasn't even about them this time! This was apparently an 'Old Friend' leaning on them for a favor! And Splinter had never heard of this White Ronin either the Ancient One said he was a Master of combining martial arts and mysticism but what did that really mean? The Ninja Tribunal seemed to do that themselves so what was this really about? Splinter suspected that even The Ancient One didn't know and he just repeated what the Ninja Tribunal told him…
So I don't think the Ancient One is 'in on it' and this was probably the first time he heard of the White Ronin himself the comparison to Abraham might remind some people of a certain Wisecrack YouTube video using the Turtles as an example in the same scenario here hopefully Leo gets portrayed better showing he really didn't want to do this but felt like he had no choice and it still really tore him up inside
