Kuzan had just arrived on her island, they hadn't seen each other for a while. Thórunn was outside laying on the ice, Skúli not far. She was lying on the ice, intently listening to the sounds that the ice made. Kuzan soon found her, she was in a world of her own. He just couldn't help but just watch her for a moment.

"Thór?!" He called out to her. She had heard him, she locked eyes on him, turning away, choosing not to reply.

"Thór?!" He was a little confused.

" I'm so sorry it's been so long." He started to approach her,

"Too busy playing pirates," her voice was angry but also sad, she closed her eyes and sighed as she looked away from him. He could sense her frustration.

Kuzan looked over at Skúli, exchanging greetings and he left. He walked further towards Thórunn. He sat down by her. She looked up at him then looked away, not moving from her place, he placed his hand over hers, she didn't resist he was so relieved.

"…-p-…pirates.." Her voice shook.

"..hm?" He peered down to her,

She took a deep breath, then suddenly becoming a little breathless, hiding herself in her arms.

"Are you scared?" .

"Mhmm" She briefly looked up at him then away again. There was a silence, it felt sad. She didn't know what to do or say. He lay down by her, holding her tightly from behind.

"I'm so sorry, sweetheart ." He whispered, gently kissing her cheek.

"Is it true, that your a captain?" She hesitantly asked.

"Yeah, but not of my own crew, it's still part of the Blackbeard pirate crew" He explained to a very still and shaken Thórunnn.

"there's ten titanic captains, I'm one of them..." As he continued, she was silent, still, her face looked terrified, she couldn't respond,

"How can I put you at ease?" He asked, holding her tighter.

"Ahh, can you write to me?" She mumbled.

"I can try that, yeah" He hoped it would help to comfort her.

"Stay-stay, close to me" she started to cry, stumbling her words.

"Whatever you want," he whispered

He placed his hand over hers, placing it down on the ice, he started to make patterns under the ice, pretty patterns that he knew she would like, she smiled widely. He started off with small detailed patterns then gradually made them larger.

"Glad to see that smile." Kuzan smiled back.

He sat them up, he sat behind her, they stayed there together for a while, holding her close.

"Do you want to head back now?" Thórunn suggested, as she was getting a little hungry.

"Sure, lets go!" He scooped her up and carried her over his shoulder, laughing, surprising her she was also laughing with him. Her laughter and smile was just what he needed, and it felt like that's what she needed as well.

He carried her to her room, gently placing her down onto the bed. She started to take off her winter wear.

"Allow me?" He smiled, kneeling down by her, she nodded.

He took the zip out of her hand and he began to unzip her coat, he did it in a flirtatious manner, he was gazing into her eyes, she looked at him trying not to show her reaction, but couldn't, she turned away, blushing. He was amused that simple things made her blush. He removed her outer layers, then his.

She lay back onto the bed, sighing, relieved to have the heavy layers off. He lay next to her, they looked into each others eyes, Kuzan brushed his fingers against her cheeks, he felt them get warmer, smiling to himself, running his fingers through her hair, leaning in for a kiss. They slowly began kissing, he moved so he was leaning over her, then the kisses got more passionate and intense.

"Mmm, Kuzan" She said, releasing them from the kiss.

He kissed her face and cheeks, then, moving his way to her neck, softly kissing her there.

"so lovely." He pondered as he touched her,

As he took her in his embrace, she told him;

"Can we just cuddle and lie here?" She turned to him, he was ready.

"Of course" He replied, placing her against his chest, turning them to the side and lying together. They lay there for a while, just feeling each others embrace and warmth.

She was quick to fall asleep, which was rare for her, he had noticed she was exhausted, more so than usual. Bigger dark circles under her eyes, not drifting to far from the others, her emotions seemingly stronger. They napped for a while, then headed to the dining hall and kitchen.

Thrandr entered and greeted Thórunn and Kuzan. He was going to help Thórunn make dinner. Tomo joined them shortly after, he wanted to see Kuzan.

"Kuzan. Can I have a word?" Tomo ushered him over, taking them away.

Thórunn was preparing dinner with Thrandr.

"How's it going with you guys?" He asked, happily.

"It's ok" she shortly replied, but he picked up on the sad tone

"Did anyone tell you you're a bad liar" Thrandr teased

"I'm just a little scared." she admitted, stopping what she was doing.

"Of him?" Thrandr replied, she shook her head

" ..of his pirate life now..." She shook as she spoke, her tone was quieter and flatter, Thrandr understood.

"Thór, he's one of the most powerful men in the world! If anyone's got this it's him, right? .…" Thrandr tried to be positive.

She nodded, falsely smiling, still upset by it. Thrandr noticed she cut the vegetables all wrong.

"I know this is because you're scared of pirates - because of what happened to you while he was admiral..?" He questioned. She nodded.

He took the knife from her as he could see she wasn't paying attention and didn't want her to hurt herself

"Thór, look." She looked at how she cut the vegetables

"Leave it to me" He giggled, he smiled, she nodded and sat by him.

It was the middle of the night, Thórunn became restless, she whimpered and gasped, crying.

Kuzan awoke to her restlessness. She was gripping the sheets, moving about, he took her hand

She began crying out his name, tossing her head back, kicking her legs, gasping and crying, he tried to stop her from hurting herself. She suddenly sat up awake, panicking, thinking that something was still there.

"K…kuzan! Kuzan!" Her voice was still quieter but full of fear. She wriggled and panicked, as if something was at the end of the bed.

She never screamed or cried out in pain, sometimes he didn't even know. Her breathing and expressions normally gave it away, but this, was clear, he had never seen and heard her so scared.

"Thór, I'm here, shhh, it's ok now," He was sat up too, now holding her. She pointed towards the end of the bed, she was distressed and unable to catch her breath.

He went to check and nothing was there,

"You must have scared it off." She sighed

"Sweetie, it was a night terror" Kuzan explained calmly, comforting her,

"Kuzan…" She relaxed herself onto him, he held her tightly.

She was catching her breath, crying, shaking, gripping onto him. Her where cries full of terror, it hurt him to hear her cry in such a way. He gently rubbed her back in a calming manner, rocking her slightly. He wiped the tears away from her cheeks.

"Kiss me…please." Desperately asking.

"Of course." He adjusted her in his arms so he could lean down and kiss her, he kissed her so softly and gradually and felt her get a little calmer.

"Tomo told me, you've been having a lot of night terrors lately. You've been staying with him and with Skúli and Einarr?" Softly trying to get an understanding.

"I can't be alone." Her voice a little louder, to express her fear.

"Thrandr and Hrafn too. Feykir has his own family" she calmed a little.

"hey hey, now, your his family just as much." Kuzan was a bit surprised, she sighed and nodded.

"Kuzan, please can you check that the monster is not there?" she whimpered, clinging to him, looking at the end of the bed anxiously.

"there was nothing there sweetheart." He reassured, he'd reassure her as many times as it took, checking again for her.

"Are you sure?" She clung tighter, he nodded

"I feel no bad presence." He softly spoke.

"Ahh, it felt so real..I don't understand ." She sighed, slouching.

"Yeah, they do. . . Come here." He pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly.

"How can I stop it?" she asked, with such fear and desperation on her face, he could still feel her shaking.

"Hmm, we're figure it out. Ok?" , softly smiling down at her, kissing the top of her head.

"Mhmm" she mumbled,

"Did you want something to eat or drink?" He asked, knowing she'd be thirsty after being so distressed.

"Something cold, please.." She requested.

but before he could leave, she gripped his shirt,

"Oh?" A surprised Kuzan replied

They looked longingly, lovingly, they drew closer and kissed, smiling as they stopped.

"Still want that drink?" He chuckled, she nodded

He got up and made her a drink. He used his ice powers to create some ice cubes, making a point of showing her, to which she smiled, always amazed, taking it from him.

He held it for her as she drank, he placed it down, lying back down with her, holding her tightly, stroking her head, it didn't take long for her to fall back asleep.

"Sweet dreams my love..." he whispered, then closing his eyes.

She slept soundly through the night. She slept in until late that morning. Kuzan was awake first, he was watching over her, even when he began to drift in and out of sleep he didn't to wake her.

"..Kuzan?" She woke up, he was still holding her.

"Hey. Good morning. Sleeping beauty." He smiled, looking down at her as she rolled over to him.

She sleepily looked up him, then softly smiling, he smiled back, kissing her cheek.

She started to come around,

"I love you." She suddenly mumbled.

"Oh! I love you, Thór!" He giggled

She slowly moved towards him, kissing him, she could feel him smiling. As they slowly stopped and opened their eyes, he looked into hers,

"Wow! those eyes." He always was in admiration of them,

She held his cheeks in her hands, he lent into her touch, smiling.

After some time as they got dressed for the day and Kuzan had an idea,

"Here, take my shirt" he sat up up, taking his shirt off as he did.

"Why?" She asked, sitting up too, taking it from him, cheeks flushing.

"To protect you from the terrors" he was desperately trying to help her.

"Ah! it's to scare them away!" She exclaimed, looking up at him,

"Yes!!" He excitedly said, he was just overjoyed it had helped.

"Thank you, Kuzan!!" She was delighted, holding it close to her heart. She lay back down, hugging it tightly with a big smile on her face.
