Bittersweet Vengeance-Ch 23
When the family arrived back at the beach house Derek helped his baby girl out of the back of one of the cars and put his hand on the small of her back and helped her inside, it had been a long and tiring day and he wanted to make sure that she was resting comfortably inside.
Fran smiled as she looked down at the ultrasound picture in her hands, her grandchild, the baby in the picture was indeed her grandson or granddaughter and she couldn't wait to meet him or her in a few months.
Derek looked down at Penelope and said, "you alright sweetness?", she yawnedand said, "I'm good, a little tired but good", Fran looked up from the picture and said, "why don't you lay back and rest, Dave should be back soon with the pizza", Penelope laid back and nodded her head yes.
JJ and Emily walked across the room out of hearing range and JJ said, "I'm so glad that she's not pregnant with Sam's baby, can you imagine her having to live everyday with a child created during everything she'd been through".
Emily glanced over her shoulder and saw Derek sitting beside Penelope holding her hand, he brought it up to his lips and gently kissed it, Emily said, "I hear ya Jayje, I hear ya but we have another problem", Reid walked over and said, "that we do, we have to find a way to bring Sam and Savannah down without endangering Penelope or the baby".
Hotch joined them and said, "right now he's probably squirming because she hasn't called him or came back home, so let's give him a few more days", Reid said, "I have a few ideas on what we can do and I've asked Anderson to be on the lookout for Sam and when he shows up at the BAU like we all know he's going to he'll call me".
Hotch said, "good, good but before that I have an idea", the three stood listening as Hotch filled them in on his idea, Reid grinned and said, "and knowing Sam he's gonna fall for it hook, line and sinker", JJ said, "and with the urgency of needing to get her back under his control he'll bring Savannah with him".
Reid said, "oh we're counting on that", Hotch said, "I better go call Kevin and let him know we've found her and that for now nobody is to know, especially Sam and fill him in on his side of the plan", Reid said, "sounds good, that way we can have all of our bases covered", Hotch said, "exactly" as he pulled his cell from his belt and walked outside as to not disturb Penelope.
Outside he hit the number for Penelope's lair and after a couple of rings he heard, "Lynch", Hotch said, "just the person I was looking for", Kevin said, "Agent Hotchner, sir, what can I do for you?", Hotch smiled and said, "funny you should ask that", for the next few minutes Hotch filled Kevin in on his part of the plan.
When he was finished Kevin said, "ohhhhh this is gonna be fun", Hotch said, "most definitely", Kevin said, "you can count on me sir, I won't let you down", Hotch said, "I knew I could count on you Kevin and keep me updated", Kevin said, "will do sir, will do", seconds later the call ended.
As he was putting his cell away Dave walked up the path carrying several pizzas and said, "sooooo what's up?", Hotch said, "just filling Kevin in on his part of a little plan", Dave said, "little plan, what little plan?", Hotch said, "let's go inside so that I can fill the others in too", Dave nodded his head yes as they headed inside.
A few minutes later Hotch looked at the team and said, "I need to discuss something with you" as he looked at Derek, Penelope and Fran", Sarah and Desi took this time to take Henry and Jack outside so that the others could speak alone.
When they were all alone Hotch said, "so this is what myself, Reid, JJ and Em were thinking" and for the next few minutes the remaining members of the team sat listening to the plan, the plan that would hopefully catch Sam and Savannah off guard enough to mess up even more than they had before so that the team could send them to prison for the rest of their lives.
