Bittersweet Vengeance-Ch 37
The next several weeks flew by and the team was of course busy with case after case and on their downtime were helping Derek with the nursery, the women had been busy planning Penelope's baby shower, they would have the shower at Casa Rossi while the men were at Casa Morgan working on the nursery.
Today was the day, it was the day of Penelope's baby shower and of course the guests were Fran, Sarah, Desi, JJ, Emily and several agents that Penelope were close to at the BAU named Tammy, Serena and Abby all from data processing.
The party was in full swing, the girls were laughing, eating and talking, it was a beautiful day so the party was outside on the covered patio, Jack, Henry and a coupleother children that belonged to Tammu and Abby were running around in the yard playing withClooney and Mudgie.
Penelope was having an amazing time, with her friends, the food had been delicious, especially the cake, Fran had made a stork cake and in it's mouth was a basket containing a baby in a yellow sleeper since they didn't know the sex of the baby.
They were currently watching as Penelope opened her gifts, she was getting everything from diapers, sleepers, booties to portable cribs/playpens and a stroller, she got so much stuff that Fran said, "we'll have to get Derek to bring his truck to take all of your stuff home".
Penelope said, "thank you all so so much", the women all smiled at Penelope and stayed with her a little while longer before heading out, Fran said, "well honey you sure got a lot of stuff", Penelope said, "I sure did, thank you all so much", JJ said, "hey now, no tears Garcie".
Penelope wiped her eyes and said, "happy tears sunshine, happy tears", the women then all pulled her into a group hug, she smiled and said, "today was amazing, thank you all so much", Fran said, "you are very welcome and my grandson or granddaughter will be spoiled accordingly", the women all nodded their heads yes in agreement.
Fran said, "I'll get what's left of this cake put up for you sweetie", she got up and headed inside with the cake while the others all started with cleanup, Penelope stood up and when she did a gush of warm bloody water cascaded down her legs, she said, "ohhh nooooo", JJ turned to her and said, "you alright Garcie?", Penelope said, "nooooo".
The women all surrounded her and Emily said, "what's" and before she could finish they all saw that Penelope's water had broken, Fran came back outside and said, "that's taken car" and before she could finish Desi said, "momma, we need to get Penelope to the hospital, her water just broke".
Fran said, "okay, Sarah you call your brother and tell him to grab Penelope's bag and head to the hospital, Desi, you call her OB and let her know that we are on the way, we will take her inside and change her clothes and be on our way to the hospital".
A few minutes later JJ, Emily and Fran were heading to the hospital with Penelope while Sarah and Desiree stayed with the boys, Derek had been called and him along with the other men were on their way to the hospital.
It was official baby Morgan was on the way and in a few short hours they would be holding the newest member of their family, Derek blew out a deep breath as he raced to the hospital to be with his wife for the delivery of their first child.
