"Branchie, Casey time to get up, breakfast's ready." Casey heard from downstairs. It was the next morning after their birthday so both Branchie and Casey were still tired but getting up as maybe now they were older, they could try coffee which would help them entering the kitchen seeing Papa Marshmallow pouring coffee into three mugs seeing the fluffy, chunky male-raccoon wink. "Now you're thirteen, I figured you were ready to try coffee just don't tell your mom." he told them.

"Thanks papa, we won't tell her unless something happens." Casey said as she and Branchie clinked mugs in a toast before drinking enjoying it making Rocket Senior smirk. He knew they were ready for coffee despite what Roxy thought knowing she was making up for the years she wasn't there for Rocket but also for Casey growing up as she'd been cryogenically frozen during a Ravagers mission but she wanted to be there for her kits and husband and they'd had a discussion about when Casey could try coffee.

"I am Groot." Branchie said smirking making Casey smile too as Rocket walked in wondering what was going on. "Somebodies had their first cup of coffee." Rocket Senior said making him realise he meant Branchie and Casey. "Awwww they love it, meaning they're growing up." he said as they were having breakfast only Branchie gasped noticibg something on Casey's furry forehead, it was a red lump making the female teen sapling confused only Roxy noticed making Casey confused.

"Ohhhhh boy the first zit is a sign." Rocket mutteredd leaving the table making Casey shrug her shoulders not getting the big deal of the situation. She knew kids got zits so it was no big deal putting her dishes in the sinkplus she was gonna hang out with Crystal and Kaley so was more excited about that flying upstairs to get ready making Roxy smile knowing she had to talk to her and Branchie about what was happening to them seeing Rocket shake his head. "They'll tell them at school, mom trust me." he reassured her seeing Casey there but leaving after hugging Branchie confusing Roxy knowing she went everywhere with Casey so the fact Branchie wasn't going with her was a big deal making Casey shrug

"We're working on something new, where we spend some time apart." Casey said before leaving.

Brandhie grinned seeing Bento was with Casey so she wasn't alone which relieved her. Bento was Casey's IF and a tenuki which she'd created when she was younger despite having Branchie but Branchie could also see and hear Bento along with Rocket and Emily but Roxy and Papa Marshmallow couldn't because Bento was ubsure of them which Casey understood knowing in tinme he'd trust them.

"I am Groot." she said getting her art stuff but going to her and Casey's room making Rocket get it. "Yep, I saw Bento go with her, Branchie so it's okay." he whispered making his parents give hin a look

"So hanging out with Crystal and Kaley was fun lije always right, Casey-san." Casey heard Bento saying as they were heading home. "Yep but you okay as you seemed worried about something." Casey told him. "It's just you got your first zit and normally when that happens…" Bento relied seeing Casey shake her furry head. "Bebto I'm not normal and I still want you around and Emily teaches in university and she still has Indigo so it's okay." she reassured him hugging him relieving him as they entered the house seeing RocketvSenior there.

"Hey honey and glad you're home, did you have fun with your friends, as your brother tokd me about them." he said to her seeing her nodding alomg with Bento heading upstairs to her and Branchie's room seeing Branchie wasn't there. "She must've went outside to play basketball as tryouts are on Monday and know she's gonna make the team." Casey told Bento making him nodding.

"She's taller than the other kids so the coach will be impressed." he told her making her smile but making some special art for Branchie sensing she might be anxious about tryouts but being brave in front of her and their family drawing Branchie in a basketball jersey slam dunking a basketball into the basket making her smile along withbBento as Branchie was a friend to him too
