"I'll be okay Branchie, you go to practice and make us proud. I'll tell mom, dad and Rocket where you are." Casey told Branchie. It was the end of the school day and students were leaving unless they had practice or in clubs so Casey was heading home or flying home while Branchie was at basketball practice taking deep-breaths as she entered the house seeing her and Rocket's dad making her coffee as she sat down.

"Hey where's Branchie kiddo, she didn't get lost right." Rocket Senior asked her seeing her shake her head as she explained.

"Ohhhhh good for her, that she got on the team. She worked really hard to get on the team." he told her Making Casey nodding drinking coffee as Rocket was there after being on a video-chat with Groot but happy Branchie made the basketball team seeing their mom there wanting to talk to her about what the counsekir had told her and Rocket Senior making Casey scowl listening but not really paying attention thinking about kicking tail later as Raccoon Girl which Rocket noticed.

"Uh-huh, can I go now." Casey asked seeing Roxy nodding as she went upstairs doing homework with ease but Bento hugged her as he'd heard what her mom had been telling her knowing she wasn't good at making friends with other kids since kindergarten which Rocket understood seeing her lie on her and Branchie's bed but heard Branchie home.

"I am Groot." Branchie said entering their room. "She fell asleep after doing homework so we should leave her be since she's gonna do her Raccoon Girl thing." Bento told her making Branchie understand rubbing gently behind her furry ear seeing her smile in sleep relieving her leaving the room so Casey could sleep since they might be going on patrol later so she needed her energy hearing dinner was here but explaining to him that Casey was asleep.

"Okay then, she'll eat later, I guess." he said as their parents had went out for dinner so it was just him, Branchie and Casey knowing Casey was going out soon to do her thing hearing footsteps upstairs guessing Casey was up and in her Raccoon Girl armour hearing her leaving the house sighing knowing she'd be back by sunrise since their parents would be back late.

"Mmmmmm, vegan donuts taste good, after kicking tail and Branchie had to do homework as her grades have to stay good, to play games so Raccoon Girl has to fly solo for a while just like Casey at school." Casey mumbled in between bites of donuts. She was sitting on a rooftop as the sun was almost coming up meaning she had to get home knowing her parents would be concerned but was home, entering through the bedroom entrance changing into her signature attire yawning and stretching hearing her mom calling her and Branchie for breakfast.

"I am Groot." Branchie asked her. "Yeah I was on patrol all night but okay plus you had homework to do so you can play basketball." Casey told her entering the kitchen seeing her dad there making them breakfast but coffee including strong coffee for Casey sensing she'd been out all night being Raccoon Girl making Branchie sigh. "I can neither cobfirm or deny that dad." she told him drinkijg and eating up grabbing her backpack so she could leave with Branchie but Branchie was surprised seeing a news stand at the front page of the Daily Bugle seeing her as Raccoon Girl seeing Casey roll her eyes.

"Jameson's just being a doofus van goofus, Branchie. He did this to Spidey and it didn't stop hij being a hero, so it doesn't bug me. Besides kids don't read the paper." she told her relieving Branchie as they arrived at school seeing excitement realising the first basketball game was Friday meaning Branchie's first game.

"You nervous or excited about that, Branchie, I know you're gonna do great." she asked.

"I am Groot, I am Groot." Branchie said. "Of course I'm going to it, you're my friend." Casey told her frowning seeing the cheerleaders ignoring them as they entered and went to homeroom but Casey was only paying half attention knowing about the game on Friday
