Learning From the Past
Fitoria sits on Misato's lap, leaning her head against his chest, and falls asleep. The Gun hero holds her with his arm and his free hand gently rubbing her head, she smiles
Misato smiles "She's felt like this for years and had to carry this burden to protect the world and its inhabitants… The only thing that kept her going was her promise with Mamoru…" He thinks, and frowns, recalling Fitoria's cries and pain. "I need to figure out a new way to unite the four heroes…" Misato thinks before leaning his head back against a nearby Filolial and closing his eyes.
Misato awakens, something on his chest was moving, he opens his eyes and finds Fitoria laying on his torso, her droopy eyes staring at him. "Had a good nap?" Misato says, rubbing the Filolial Queen's head.
Fitoria blinks "Mm" she murmurs "Yes, it was… pleasant." She says, smiling, she slides off of the gun hero and stands up.
Misato sits upright and sees the sun starting to set and looks around, seeing the Filolials surrounding them, their eyes varying different expressions, mostly, curiosity or concern.
Fitoria leans down, holding her palm up towards a red and black feathered baby Filolial, it hops on her hand. She raises it to eye level.
"Pii?" The Chick says tilting its head
"I am fine now, thank you" She says and looks at the rest of her kind "To all of you"
"Kweh!" The Filolials cheer. Happy to help their ruler.
"Especially you Misato" She walks up to him "I am sorry for my behavior."
"It's alright Fitoria, I don't blame you for that" Misato says, patting her head. "I would probably feel the same knowing that my phone's files were damaged"
Fitoria frowns
Misato sighs "Fitoria…" He says kneeling down to her height. "You should know that I am incredibly glad that you were the one who summoned me instead of some people who would use me as a weapon. If you weren't the one who summoned me and was there for me. I don't where I would be right now, probably not a good place…" Recalling his first meeting with the Filolial Queen
Fitoria nods "After what you have just done for me. I too, am grateful that I have met you." She smiles, reassuring the Gun Hero.
He looks at the yellow orb of his revolver. "Fitoria… I think we should continue looking at the videos"
Fitoria pauses, staring back at him, she nods "Yes, though they are not complete, we should see what remains."
"Alright then." Misato says, placing the weapon on the ground, continuing where they left off. They see Forrest facing the camera.
"The Ruler of the Waves goal is to fuse these worlds into one giant plate of food for her to gobble up and give her more power. And along the way, toying with people with her pawns for cruel entertainment just because she can…" Forrest glares at the sky
Misato frowns, this ruler reminds him a bit of Malty, but actually cunning for obvious reasons…
The video cuts again and he sees his predecessor sitting on a rock, leaning down.
"All the remaining heroes of my world, they used their powers to slow down the World Eater from consuming us, even at the cost of their lives…" Forrest sniffs and rubs his eye. "T-They… they gave me enough time to escape. And that's how I appeared to this world, to avenge them, to put that Bitch down for good.
"Although Fitoria probably mentioned this, you should know that there is no other gun hero between me and you. There are a few reasons for that, first off, I didn't want the Ruler of the Waves to discover me or any other gun hero so soon after destroying a world, she would start to suspect something wrong and try to stop you."
Forrest takes a breath and continues "Which leads to another reason, the gun hero can potentially change the tide of wars and which country remains on top in terms of military power compared to the other heroes."
"While the guns are scaled on the user's stats, it is still a powerful weapon because of its rate of fire, how can a bow compare to a machine gun? Not a whole lot in the overwhelming part."
Misato's eyes widen, "A normal human using guns would not have a boost in damage"
"If you weren't summoned by Fitoria, you probably would have got your head in the clouds and filled with stupid praise from the people buttering you up just to become a political pawn. To use you as a weapon to fight other countries, thinking that you are doing the right thing. Just like the previous gun heroes" Forrest sighs, shaking his head "Just like what I imagine the other heroes are doing right now, playing around…"
If Fitoria wasn't here to comfort him in his grief and remind him why he was summoned, would he have shut himself out from reality and pretended that this world was just an Anime show? Misato shudders at the thought of himself acting like a destructive fool.
"As for the last reason, it is involved with a plan on how to defeat her, and it's locked up and protected by Fitoria. But to unlock it and to understand how to defeat the waves, the new Gun Hero, aka you, has to figure out a way to unite the 4 cardinal heroes. It requires the full power of all 5-
"Sounds like you remembered it pretty well Fitoria," Misato says with a smile
Fitoria nods with a small smile
The video changes to Forrest chuckling, shaking his hands towards the camera "Before you do massive collateral damage, you should know that you can't dig it or shoot your way through it, no matter how much firepower you have."
"Ugh… Unfortunately getting the key will be tough…" Misato mentally groans, remembering how the three heroes are.
"This is for your safety and the world, I cannot reveal that plan to you just yet. Only until you unite heroes. And I'm not talking about a bond of broken pipes held by loose duct tape, I'm talking about actually understanding each other and taking this shit seriously. I'm aware of how nonsensical some of the heroes can be especially with manipulative assholes fattening them up with stupidity! So please do try your best… No matter how tempting it is to smack them…"
Misato snorts at the last comment.
"There are more videos in detail in different folders, Good luck and take care of Fitoria will ya?"
The video ends
"Well now we have another reason to unite the heroes, to unlock the door and find out what Forrest planned," Misato says facing Fitoria "Also help Fitoria," He thinks to himself
She nods
Misato looks for another video
Some videos never even turn on or an error pop-up would appear… Even if he had his crafting skill at max, he could never fix the files that are lost from the damage, unless he gets something like the Time Stone from Doctor Strange and reverses the device before it was damaged. Misato then opens the second to last file.
The video was Forrest and Mamoru explaining their strengthening methods. Unfortunately, Forrest's strengthening methods from the heroes of his world do not work, saying that the world is too different for them to function, including the gun itself, traveling to another world in a completely different solar system messed up the gun. Only one method remains with the gun and it's the same as Misato's method. Once Mamoru described his methods, Misato got a notification about them.
Now Misato and Fitoria are viewing a video about Forrest describing the world he was in. It was also damaged but thanks to Fitoria filling in some details he got a good idea of what it was. The world leaped quickly in advancement due to the disaster that became worse than before. There was no room for pettiness and pride, only that everyone must be doing something beneficial to fight the waves, anything else was unacceptable, so there was true peace between all nations in the world, everyone was doing their part so that they could survive. However, Forrest suspects that people who did cause a ruckus for trivial matters were silenced but couldn't confirm.
Every soldier had some form of advanced firearm. Forrest mentions how they had soldiers that seemed more machine than man, especially when their armor covered their faces. It reminded Misato of Halo The Xbox game, how Spartans were made by kidnapping children to indoctrinate, and surgically modified to become the perfect soldier to fight against the Covenant from destroying all of Humanity, or was it to deal with the Human resistance? Misato mentally shrugs, he only played the games. If Forrest's world had soldiers like that then the situation in the world was messed up to resort to those methods of creating soldiers.
Misato sighs "Better than nothing…" He faces Fitoria "Do you know what he was talking about when it comes to the Ruler's people?"
Fitoria frowns "I am sorry but all I remember is that this Ruler had followers for her to use to stop the heroes, and they are powerful."
Misato then sighs looking up at the night sky, thinking out loud "If only I was summoned a few months maybe even a year before the summoning, we could have prevented so many problems, the first wave's destruction on Melomarc, Raphtalia's home, maybe act as an adventurer and help Naofumi get the fuck out of the Castle Town. Or better yet steal the summoning stuff and do it instead of, Wait…" He turns towards Fitoria and points at her
"Now that I think about it. Why aren't the heroes summoned by you instead of people that don't give a damn about the world? That would save you a lot of trouble from trying to make the heroes united than when they are summoned separately." He speaks. With Fitoria's power, giving her the tools, she could summon the heroes instead of some people that use them for their own agendas other than the waves. Plus, she managed to summon him as the Gun Hero, so she is perfectly capable of it.
Fitoria frowns "After seeing those messages, my memory became clearer. Mister Forrest and Mamoru-Sama argued… I think Mister Forrest was saying that I should summon them, he said that people will eventually become selfish and make it difficult to unite the heroes. Heroes should try to remain hidden from the masses as much as they can."
Misato, after seeing what happened in the show, nods in agreement with that idea. If they were summoned here with him, so much bullshit could have been avoided, maybe even spending time together bonding and talking about stuff would have made them trust each other. In episode one sure they acted arrogant, but their initial meeting was amicable compared to later in the show
"But Mamoru-sama said that without the people's help the heroes will not be able to fight the waves and keep the death count low all by themselves."
Misato can sort of see what Mamoru meant, if Heroes can't coordinate with the local fighters, they would be rather ineffective in combating the waves. Appearing and disappearing only during waves won't be good enough to prevent deaths especially if the heroes and the people accidentally get in the way of each other by not communicating. But Naofumi became an outcast by the masses on day two despite being someone completely new and having nothing to do with Melomarc's grudge war with Silvelt. Mamoru's point doesn't seem like a good reason anymore.
Fitoria returns her gaze to him "Eventually I think they agreed with something, Mamoru-sama agreed with having you summoned in the Sanctuary while Mister Forrest agreed to let the other cardinal heroes be summoned by the people to have their help in the waves, and have me try to remind them to keep them united" Fitoria grimaces, at the last part
"I have made attempts to remind the populace to unite the heroes but that failed… Then the desecration attempt happened and something else… But trying to remember it brings up a horrible feeling inside. Something that tore me apart." Fitoria shudders, Misato then grabs her hand, trying to comfort her. She looks up and smiles, albeit weakly, and then frowns again, looking away.
"What could have happened to make Fitoria feel this way despite not remembering it?" Misato thinks to himself
"Perhaps Mister Forrest was right, I should have been the one to summon the heroes, to guide them to fight the waves" Fitoria sighs looking back at Misato "And now I am relying on you to unite the heroes"
"Well now you know. So, I will make sure to help you get the things you need to summon all five heroes before any selfish assholes summons them for their stupid shenanigans later." Misato says "Not that I intend to fail with the current heroes, this is for next time"
He pats her head, "It's in the past, all we can do is our best to make our future better"
Fitoria nods but looks away
"Fitoria?"
She looks back. "You're right, it's in the past, so now I will do what I must to help." She grabs his hand.
"I wish to come with you to Melomarc and help you unite the four heroes"
Misato gasps "Really?"
She nods, smiling.
"But why?" he asks, Fitoria was stubborn, not wanting to stay inside a country for more than a day.
"For holding me when I cried, for giving me warmth and comfort that I have not felt in years… I now want you to succeed and I shouldn't allow my issues to prevent you from doing that." Fitoria says, with a determined look, staring directly into Misato's eyes. "And… I don't want you to die" her grip tightens on Misato's hand.
Misato stares back silently, processing her selfless response and change of character.
He cups his other hand over Fitoria's "Thank you Fitoria, I promise that I will unite the heroes…" Misato says.
Fitoria smiles but it twitches, her eyes move down. "You should also know, I am a Vassal Hero."
"I'm sorry, can you say that again please?" Misato says
Fitoria nods and moves her free hand towards some empty space. A beautiful carriage with a red gem on the side appears before them, it transforms into an old steretypical wagon for merchants "I am the Hero of the Carriage."
Misato looks back at Fitoria. This makes sense considering that the rabbit is the vassal of the boat in the anime and how she can transform her carriage. But if that is the case… "That actually explains why your carriage is so special, but why did you not copy the files before the accident?" Misato asks
"I did not know the weapons were capable of transferring recordings, and even if I did, I most likely forgot…" Fitoria nearly mutters the last part.
Maybe Forrest didn't know about this? Considering that he came from an advanced world that most likely relied on things stuff similar to a phone he probably didn't know how salvageable the info inside is from the crystal ball.
"Okay, but why did you not tell me?"
Fitoria bites her lip, glancing away from the Gun Hero. She turns her head back frowning "I still couldn't trust you. When I decided to isolate myself, in order for the sanctuary to be in peace, I removed any evidence of this weapon's existence, I wished to keep this a secret, even from a Cardinal hero…"
She bows, "I am sorry for not trusting you with this information."
Misato pats Fitoria's head. "It's ok I understand why, we just met, and you had no reason to trust me with this, if people knew some would try to use it for their own greed and maybe hunt you down for the weapon."
She looks up surprised, "You're not mad?"
Misato shakes his head with a smile "I'm not mad, I won't tell anyone either. So, let's copy the files into your weapon."
Fitoria's eyes seem to shine, and she smiles back.
"And let me repay you by telling you my method of strengthening"
"Thanks" Misato smiles, patting Fitoria's head.
Fitoria smiles even wider at the touch of his hand but then yawns, she stretches looking at the night sky, seeing the moonlight shining in the Sanctuary.
"It's night now, we should probably sleep," she says, looking at the Filolials sleeping. Misato stretches as well, rubbing his eyes.
"For now, we should proceed with the plan and go to Melomarc and finally meet Naofumi and Raph… Talia…" Misato mumbles the last name, he feels like forgot something important but what is it?
"Misato?"
And why does it give him this horrible feeling? A feeling just as bad as the day he died. He tries to recall how season 1 goes, and how they meet Fitoria for the first time. They met when Fitoria rescued them from a T-Rex, but where did it come from… Right, someone released it but who?
A memory of a fat blond man with a whip hitting a demi-human tied to some chain appears, it's a younger Raphtalia tied to it. Then another memory flashes of a young girl coughing with a younger Raphtalia looking over her in a prison cell.
"Do you think the Shield Hero will come to save us?"
Then finally a memory of an older Raphtalia crying at a skeleton with a small flag in its hand inside the same prison cell
Misato's eyes widened "Oh my god…" He mutters before running into the supply building.
"Misato what is the matter?" Fitoria says, concerned about Misato's expression, following the gun hero.
"I can't believe I forgot!" Misato cries as he crafts some ammunition, he grabs some potions that he stocked up on for the Zeltoble Wave.
"About Raphtalia's friends!" Misato answers, sprinting out of the room.
"Misato explain now," Fitoria says standing in front of the gun hero in a flash
Misato's eyes widen and he nods "Right"
"Raphtalia has a friend or maybe two imprisoned by a cruel son of a bitch by the name of Idol Rabier, whipping them to hear them scream in despair or any other demi human CHILD! Raphtalia got transferred out to be sold again while her friend Rifana is dying from a sickness as we speak!"
Fitoria gasps, her eyes widening. Misato continues.
"In the story, Raphtalia and the Shield hero arrive but they were too late, all that was left was a skeleton of the girl. All of this time, this whole week I can't believe I forgot something so important! All of this TIME I am SO STUP-
"Stop" Fitoria's finger appears over his lips
"As you said, it has happened, all we can do is fix the present and make the future better…" Fitoria says, her red eyes staring up at his amber ones.
Misato pauses, looking away for a few seconds and then he faces Fitoria "We need to get to Rifana, save her and maybe any other Demi-Human from that monster now" Misato says with a determined look.
Fitoria nods and a carriage appears in front of them she hops inside, quickly followed by the Gun hero. "Where is this Idol Rabier"
"At a place in Melomarc near a lake in the middle of a forest, his home looks like a castle, it should be close to the Sanctuary," Misato says, inspecting his gun.
Fitoria closes her eyes and then opens "I know where it is" Fitoria says, and teleports them.
Misato and Fitoria look at Idol Rabier's home, like a castle on top of a mountain with a town in front of it. Misato turns his gun into the Grappling Gun but then realizes that Fitoria could help them get up top without any noise.
"Fitoria, could you please get us up on that wall?" He asks
Fitoria nods, and she transforms into a small filolial queen form, Misato hops on her back and she jumps. She lands on the wall silently thanks to her magic and turns back to humanoid form and kneels down with Misato.
Misato pulls out a telescope and looks down, he sees a balding blond fat man walking down into the door in the ground with a whip, its Idol Rabier. Bingo, that must be where he keeps the prisoners. Misato eyes the whip in his hand, no doubt the bastard is ready to whip more innocent children.
"As a servant of god, I must punish anyone who sides with the Shield Devil"
Right, another thing to add to his plan. Loot the damn place of any money to prevent any potential funding towards the Three Heroes church to use. He then looks at the monument, and a memory of a T-Rex appears.
"Fitoria, once you heal Rifana and the other prisoners, I need you to seal that Monument, it contains a Dino-, I mean a powerful dragon that was sealed by previous Heroes, I don't want any foolish person to unlock that."
Fitoria nods, seeing the Monument, Misato turns his head back to her, he then pulls out his cloak from the inventory. "Once we get down to the basement, use the cloak to cover yourself, I don't want rumors of a girl with wings involved with Rabier's death." He says, pulling a cloth over his head and mouth to disguise himself.
Fitoria nods "I assume you have a way to sneak in without alerting the guards?" eyeing the light alongside the wall, slowly approaching their area.
"Yes, I need you to leap outside, and destroy a part of the wall someplace else, make it loud and big, most of the guards will go to see what's going on, once you destroy it I need you to come back here and we go into the basement," Misato says as he shoots the grappling gun to hook on the roof of a building nearby the wall.
The gun hero places a hook on the rope. "Can you please silence this hook and Give me a push to get to that building quickly,'' Misato says, bracing himself.
Fitoria places the spell and pushes him, he slides down the rope and climbs up to the roof. The grappling gun transforms back to the revolver, he gives Fitoria a thumbs up. She nods and leaps back out of the castle. He ducks behind the roof, hiding from the guard patrolling on the wall that he was on.
About a minute later, Misato hears an explosion at the opposite end of the basement and monument. It seems that most of the guards rush to the commotion, he sees Fitoria leap back up in his line of sight on the wall and leap to Misato silently.
She turns back into a Filolial Queen form, Misato leaps on her back and she jumps towards the basement door, ready to save a young girl from her tragic death. She makes it to the door, Misato hops off, tossing the cloak onto Fitoria, his hand reaching to open the door, but it opens.
"What is going- Huh?" Idol Rabier says
The bastard's eyes widen, and Misato leaps forward, grabs Idol's head, and slams it against his knee. They both fall down the basement with the gun hero on top of the fat man. Misato transforms the gun into a musket and presses it down on his throat, strangling Idol Rabier, and preventing him from yelling for help.
"Toria, make sure we are hidden and no one can hear us"
"Right," A now disguised Fitoria says, creating a mist around the area.
Idol growls, pushing Misato off of him, the Gun Hero's back hits the stone stairs hard, "DAMN despite being out of shape he's probably stronger than me!" Misato thinks to himself, standing up. In canon he pushed Raphtalia back, she was level 40 and Misato is only level 19!
"You dare attack me!" The bastard yells, swinging the whip. The Gun Hero leans to the side, narrowly dodging the whip. The fat noble swings the second whip, Misato catches the whip with the musket, wrapping it around his weapon. The Gun hero stabs the musket into the ground.
"WHat!" Idol Rabier yells, trying to pull the whip out but the weapon refuses to move. Misato flashes the glass orb, blinding the noble.
While blinded, Misato grabs his gun and stabs Idol Rabier in the gut with the Bayonet. Misato would have fired it for extra damage but he's in a stone room, the bullet might ricochet.
"GAH" Idol Rabier yells, gripping the musket, pulling it out, and shoving Misato back. The man draws his sword and swings his blade, but the Gun hero blocks it. The force of the blow vibrates through his arms. The bastard follows up with a kick and knocks him back
"Crap!" Misato yells flying back
But two small petite hands catch him and places him down, he looks up and sees a concerned Fitoria underneath her hood. "Are you alright?" She asks, Misato doesn't answer, he looks ahead and sees Idol with his sword raised overhead.
"Die you FILTHY Demi- GAHHH" The noble yells. Fitoria's body moves in a blink, breaking Idol's sword arm, and she punches him in the gut all in an instant, launching him down the hall. She turns around checking on Misato again.
"Get to Rifana and heal her, she should have short blonde hair, Weasel ears, looks about ten years old and probably coughing right now," Misato answers. Standing up
Fitoria nods, skimming the prison cells.
"You damn- AUGH" Fitoria stomps Idol, shutting him up as she continues her search.
"Ugh." Idol groans, he slowly leans his head up and sees Misato, with a gun pointed at him.
"Web Shot" A web binds and gags the man up. The gun hero kicks his broken arm and hears muffled screams of pain from the bastard. Misato turns his gun into the potion gun and checks the prisoners.
He finds a few children, he opens the gate, they flinch and back up to a corner. "It's okay… I'm not here to hurt you…" Misato raises his hands up slowly "Please… Let me heal you"
One of the children slowly and hesitantly walks towards the gun hero. Lifting up his ragged clothing to reveal a nasty wound. Misato proceeds to spray the wound healing it. The other children followed the first to be relieved from the pain.
Most of these wounds could leave a scar, some aren't even healing at all… He moves on looking for more prisoners to free, and finds Keel, Raphtalia's other friend, unconscious, he sprays and heals the wounds while the young boy sleeps. Misato lifts up the ragged clothing to check for more wounds.
...
I did not expect this..." Misato thinks to himself as he sprays Keel's wound.
Okay, Keel is actually a girl.
Misato continues looking and finds Fitoria with her hands glowing, healing a malnourished Rifana. "How is she?"
"Weak, very weak, she was close to death… She's fine now but in order to heal from her sickness she would need a healer." Fitoria answers, facing Misato with a frown.
Misato nods "Nearby there should be a place where they accept Demi-Humans, they would help heal Rifana and the other prisoners." He says remembering Van Reichnott.
"W-what cough, is going on?"
Misato and Fitoria look down, seeing Rifana now awake, most likely due to Fitoria's healing she has the energy to speak.
"You are being saved. Don't worry, that bastard won't hurt you or anyone ever again" Misato smiles
"R-really? Cough"
"Yes…" Misato says, kneeling down to hold her hand. "So please save your strength"
"O-okay," She says closing her eyes.
"Crap, Fitoria is she….?"
Fitoria shakes her head "She is fine, only exhausted from her wounds and sickness."
Misato sighs in relief. Then frowns, glaring at the prison room, he walks out, seeing Idol Rabier trying to free himself. He webs him up more then transforms to the musket raising the bayonet above the pathetic bastard's head.
"You are nothing more than just a pathetic man, who twists the truth. Believing that you are in the right, believing that these disgusting atrocities you committed are under the will of god… The truth is no god expressed these words, you made it up for yourself to act as if you are some sort of hero doing people a favor… But you are not... You are just a sad man alone with a disgusting hobby, finding and creating excuses for yourself." Misato mutters before stabbing Idol Rabier.
It takes a few stabs but eventually the monster dies. Misato shudders to see the amount of EXP he receives, giving him 7 level ups… How many innocent people did this sick bastard kill? Perhaps too many for him to live, after seeing the wounds of the children locked up here, he doubts that the real Naofumi and Raphtalia in this world would allow this bastard to live either.
The anime scene didn't make any sense with the 'No better than them' message. With people like Idol Rabier gone, means that fewer people will suffer under the abuse and oppression, and he is nothing like that enslaving Adventurer or Idol Rabier…
Misato sighs and turns, seeing Fitoria staring at him with an expression that is difficult to tell. "Go seal the monument and leave a carriage, I'll get the children out." She nods, walking up the stairs. Misato walks over to the children. "Take it easy, we are going to get you out of here." He says lifting the children on each arm. He and Fitoria move every prisoner inside the carriage. He gently lifts Rifana up with 2 hands as she is the most fragile of the group and walks out slowly.
"Huh? Stop them, he's freeing the prisoners!" A guard yells drawing his sword followed by the others
"Fitoria hold Rifana"
"Okay"
Bang
The guards stop, frightened by the loud noise.
"Idol Rabier is dead! You are now free to leave behind from listening to these disgusting acts of your dead lord." Misato yells, with his revolver raised.
A guard scoffs "As if we would go against the belief of the Three Heroes! Kill the intruders!"
"RAHH!" The guards yell charging. He tried to warn them…
Bang Bang Bang Bang
four guards go down
"Wh- But Ho- Bang" The last guard mutters before Misato fires his last bullet.
"GET THEM!" Another guard yells from a different direction.
"Toria… please take them out…" Misato says, reloading his revolver.
She nods, gently placing Rifana into the carriage "Zweite Tornado" She mutters the spell, and a tornado appears knocking and most likely killing the remaining guards in the way.
"Toria, keep them safe at the location where you teleported us, I'm going to loot this place of any money and burn it all down.
"But why? The children are now safe" She asks confused
"Yes… But Idol Rabier was a supporter of the Three Heroes Church, there could be money that will be sent to them, which means they will get more power to make things harder to unite the four heroes."
"I see… When I get the children out, I will leave Filolials to protect them, and I will return to assist you" Fitoria says before entering the carriage and teleporting the children out of the castle.

Misato jumps, turning around to see Fitoria with her fist raised, he turns to look where she is glaring at and sees a man or… woman? He can't tell because of their clothing. It hides their face and any defining features. This must be a shadow, they look a lot different than the ones in the anime, this attire is a lot more logical than the ones in the show but there is a dark symbol of the Three hero's church on their torso.
"I'm assuming you sensed bad intentions from this one?" Misato says, looking at the corpse.
"Yes they- hold on," Fitoria says before disappearing.
Level up!
Seeing the pop-up message, he turns around to see Fitoria surrounded by dead Shadows. "Do you sense any more hidden among us?" Misato asks, checking his status page.
"No"
Misato Morgan: Gun Hero Level 33
Fitoria: Queen of Filolials, Carriage Hero Level ?
Partying up with the unstoppable force that is Fitoria and killing the zealot guards and Shadows who are above his level, leaping from 20 to level 33 was expected to happen. His damage stats of course increased a lot, and speed-related stats are pretty good too. His defense stats… Sure he gained 13 points more than before, but that's because he leveled up 13 times...
"Misato… Who are these cloaked people?" Fitoria asks, poking a body.
Misato leans down, looting any tools from them, finding some knives and other various tools, a few glass balls, and finally finds a rosary of the Three Heroes Church "These are Shadows, people who work for the Church of the Three Heroes, they are not the ones with the Queen."
"I see" Fitoria nods
"Let's head back to the children and head to Van Reichnott," Misato says, walking into another carriage provided by Fitoria.

Remastered, Fitoria reveals her identity as the Carriage Hero, she now trusts him and it is one of the reasons why she refused to party with Misato, because he would notice her status.
We have some of his Predecessor, Forrest Smith. Ya, I delve into spoiler territory, sorry about that for people who wanted to read this blind for light novels, manga, and anime. Forrest came from a world destroyed by the Ruler, with knowledge of how to defeat her and what to watch out for. Unfortunately, some of the damage in the accident made the files incomplete and the destruction of the library in the Sanctuary is gone so no more books, why? Maybe one day we will find out.
So Misato doesn't know about the Reincarnators yet because it would be waayy too convenient for him to know them so early.
BTW I am relying on the Wiki to provide me info so I am sorry if I am incorrect about some things later in the future. I just looked up strengthening methods and I am not going to go into that much detail about it. Just know that Misato right now has 5 strengthening methods, 1 was what he started with, 3 from Mamoru or basically the shield hero, and 1 from Fitoria.
Misato saved Rifana, Keel, and other Demi-Human Children, as for why he didn't do it sooner? He just died seeing his parents die before him and he had a lot in his mind trying to figure out a good way to approach the issue of Uniting the 4 heroes together and grieve for his family.
When I made this story I did have to come up with a reason why there is a 5th cardinal hero in the world and I couldn't make the origin the same as the "Armory of the Forgotten Hero" from Masked Spider . And I didn't want to have Misato appear with the other heroes as a sudden new Cardinal Hero like "Rising of the Gun Hero" from BWWWS. (Or as far as I am aware of in those 2 stories.)
I wanted to write something different. A hero that wasn't forgotten or brand new for mysterious reasons, but rather a hero that remained in the shadows and fought the waves in secret as much as he possibly could, while preparing his successor to win the war against the Ruler. The Gun Hero's original world has some Sci-Fi elements because it wouldn't really make sense for a Gun Hero to exist in a Medieval world, it would only make sense for him to come from a world that has firearms as their main weapon.
Also, I want to make differences, I believe that if this OC did not know the world, it probably would have been a rehash of the events plus a hero who uses guns, while canon events would be an improvement, but generally, the timeline would be the same. Without the knowledge, Alternate Misato would find himself struggling to communicate and see eye to eye with the other heroes for being annoying dicks which leads up to him reaching an agreement with Naofumi, the protagonist and his charisma and the fact that he is tolerable and seems to be a bit of a tsundere. And finds himself at odds with the main Antagonists of season 1, underestimating how twisted they are.
Also, I am still an inexperienced writer.
