Third chapter! Sorry it took so long, but here it is! I hope you enjoy it.

On the said ship Pulse saw, there very strange yet familiar and common beings.

They shuffled their big feet as if dragging their weight around. Bulging and blood shot eyes looked out the ocean without much sentience in some of these creatures. Rotting, pale colored skin, potentiometer of bones against their skin, hanging almost like rags due to time decomposing their bodies when they were still under the ground.

They walked around their ship, many carrying large and powerful guns in case of intruders. Others maintained the deck, making sure they don't run into anything or be sunk by large structures whether natural or not.

One thing about all of them that they had in common was that they had a tag on their shirts or uniforms which said 'Z-Tech'. Their ship also had the logo of Z-Tech painted on it.

There was no thought about it, these strange undead creatures were zombies.

They were out in the ocean to deliver cargo towards somewhere else for their faction's war effort. Metal cargo boxes carrying fresh brains and weaponry to another part of the world where fighting is intense.

It would be another day before they make it to their destination. Right now they are just...mingling around the cargo ship, most thinking about brains.

A regular ol' zombie foot soldier slumped against a wall, bored out of his mind. Two days out at sea, and one more to reach land. He gave out an undead sigh.

"Hey fellow brainz." A voice said.

The foot soldier turned to his left where the voice came from. Shuffling closer was a marine biologist, who was a friend of the zombie soldier. Though some zombies don't always show much of their emotions since many of said emotions died when they perished as humans and then reincarnated as zombies. They can feel happiness for example, such as when vangishing a plant or eating a juicy brain burger out of humans.

"Bored as brainz..." Said the foot soldier, who leaned onto a wall.

"No worriez, after this we get back to home brainz, and get brain awards." The marine biologist sounded giddy at the last part.

"Good award, but want to shoot weeds, this is boring." The foot soldier impatiently tapped his foot, while looking at his Z-1 Assault Blaster. He really wants to battle it out against the plants rather than watch some cargo, it's much more fun.

"We fight plants maybe at our destination." Said the marine biologist as he waddled towards the end of the ship's rim to look out the ocean, trying to see if the land they are going to is visible from where they currently are. Unfortunately, there was nothing but ocean.

The zombie sighed. He was about to waddle back to his soldier when at the corner of his eye...he saw something that stood out from the ocean's blue surface.

The zombie immediately went closer to the rim to get a better look. He narrowed his eyes. Whatever it is, it was pink, and probably alive since it looked like it was swimming...directly towards the ship!

The zombie made loud grunts to alert his zombie shipmates and was pointing frantically towards the pink thing coming closer.

Several zombies came closer to look towards where he was pointing to. The marine biologist turned to point again at what he saw...but what he saw was just blue ocean. Not a pink creature swimming closer. The zombie made a surprised grunt and looked around to where it went.

The other zombies however...looked at the biologist with confusion. Many shook their heads at him and shuffled back to what they were doing before they were 'alerted' by the marine biologist. The said zombie looked downcasted, now being the only one standing at the ship's edge since the rest have left.

The zombie looked out again, wanting to find that pink...or was it a purple? He didn't care much about its color, for now he will just assume it was pink, but right now he just wanted to know what it was. He didn't see anything out of place. Maybe it was his eyes playing tricks on him? He was very sure he saw something.

His foot soldier buddy slowly walked up to him now that the group of zombies disbanded. "What were you all brainz about?" He asked, talking about what the scientist was trying to show them earlier.

The zombie pointed out the ocean dramatically." Saw pink or purple thing swim to our ship! Brainz!"

The foot soldier looked out to see if he could see a pink or purple thing swimming around. However, just like with the other zombies, he didn't see anything out of the ordinary." Where pink thing?"

And the marine biologist looked like he was gonna explode in frustration. The foot soldier just walked away, with confusion clearly on his face.

The marine biologist wasn't sure if it was merely a hallucination, but he really wanted to find out.

"Wait." The marine biologist said, making the foot soldier stop and turn around. "Help with diving? Get rope thing tied to me, I get water gear and I go in water to see?" He asked.

The foot soldier considered it, but soon he nodded to his friend. The marine biologist gave a lopsided smile and quickly went into the ship to find his diving gear.

...

'Woah...that was close...' Pulse thought as she swam under the ship. She really didn't want to disturb these beings. She breathed to calm herself. She looked around for anything else of suspicion, and thankfully, there wasn't. She swam from under the aquatic vehicle to leave them alone.

She used the digital map to look again for the closest piece of land. Unbeknownst to her, someone else joined her in the water. Something splashed into the sea, a long piece of cable connected them to the ship above. The marine biologist was decked with gear for the sea, but radically different than hers.

The zombie was looking and searching around the area for anything, and froze with a startled sound when they saw Pulse. Her back was turned to him, so she was clueless of his presence. The zombie couldn't help but study her in curiosity, but only for a moment, because he saw her biological shape was partially identical to another planet. Deeming her an enemy of zombie kind, he plucked his beloved Dolphin Blaster from his back and quickly pointed it to her and fired.

It didn't really hurt since her EX suit was very durable, but she still felt the impact's vibrations travel on her back via its complex neural technology, and heard the muffled metal clank it made due to being underwater.

This made Pulse freeze in surprise. She was checking the nearest landmasses and was about to start going to a chosen one until she felt the projectile hit her. She quickly turned around and saw the zombie in underwater gear. The zombie shot another round at her visor, but even the glass was strong enough to sustain the damage and only got a miniscule scratch.

She swam backwards to put distance and quickly searched for her EX suit's cloaking for invisibility and escape. Once she did she disappeared from his view, who still continued to shoot in her general direction. Pulse already moved away from the spot she was in when the zombie shot his fourth ammunition. Out of all the things that caught her attention, the weapon he had made her have a double take. It...looked like a living aquatic creature attached to a handle, and had three tube-like...things on top of it. It looked very horrible, using a living creature like that. The creature continued to shoot projectiles around him after reloading. She turned around and swam away forward faster, from the now labeled hostile creature.

...

He knew it! He wasn't imagining or hallucinating things. The creature's physical appearance was no mistake, the pink creature was some variant of citron, but he didn't know what kind it was. Maybe a new species made by that bubbling buffoon Crazy Dave, or maybe a naturally born in the present, or from the future. Who knows, but what's most important is getting rid of it. One less enemy, the better.

The marine biologist thought he could easily take it down, but then its armor didn't make a dent when the shots hit it, even worse, it turned invisible! No plant can do that, as far as he knows. It didn't look like a teleport, teleportation is always sparkly and bright.

Maybe he could have gotten a raise or more brainz If he could have brought it to the great undead emperor Zomboss. Once the zombie decided that the plant was not around anymore he pulled on the cable attached to his waist as he slowly swam up. He felt the cable pull him faster than he can swim. The zombie couldn't help to clench his fists. He felt like he just let a big opportunity escape his grasp.

It was not like any citron he has seen, especially one who does not look aquatic, or the fact it turned invisible. Eventually he got too tired to continue thinking and resurfaced back to the ship.

His foot soldier friend helped him get up on the dry metal floor. Around the foot soldier were a few other zombies. He looked at his friend with a frown while marine biologist looked at foot soldier and the rest of the zombies near him with a smug expression. "I found purple thing, purple armor citron that swimz and it vanizh." He told them. He thought the citron was pink, but it's likely the light from the nasty burning sun made it appear pink in his eyes, he will refer to it as purple.

The foot soldier and other nearby zombies looked at each other confused, there is nothing about purple citrons that swim in water, unless it's some party citron but they can't swim, neither can armored citrons.

The foot soldier glanced out at the ocean again before looking back at him." Where iz purple thing?" He asked him.

The marine biologist pointed to where he last saw it go. Who knows, it could have changed directions and gone somewhere else completely different. Or it would think we would follow it, which would give it a reason to change directions, oh well.

The foot soldier looked again at the ocean, seeing nothing once again. He sighed." Have proof of plant? Brainz?"

The marine Biologist's paled when he said that. How will they or anyone else believe him if he has no evidence? He didn't have a camera on him, and even if he did it probably would not survive the water. He also didn't have anything from the plant to show them, like a piece of its metal. He faced the sky and made a loud zombie groan at how stupid it was of him.

And it's done. This is longer and had some action, which is good. I really hope to make more chapters as good as this one, or even better in the future. Whatcha think? I'll start on the next chapter sometime later. Any questions or comments then just PM me or give me a preview. Have a nice day.
