Okay, who else saw the last episode of The Owl House?
MAN, what an end to an era!
I'm not gonna lie, I cried when it all came to a close. But don't worry, I'm fine.
I didn't cry because it was all over, I cried because we made it to the end.
And man, was it a happy and emotional end.
Actually, can someone put that on an Owl House poster, screenshot or something?
'Don't cry because it's over, smile because we made it.'
And guess what? Just because that's the end of The Owl House, that doesn't mean we're gonna let the fandom die out.
It stays up as long as there're still Owl House fans on this planet.
And guess what else? Now that the show's over, I've gotta couple ideas on how to keep this story up and running.
Hope you enjoy the chapter!
It's the next day, and in the marketplace, Luz and Eda are at the latter's stand. King's at the Owl House by himself.
While Eda's at work, Luz was doing another one of her video documentaries.
"You've seen the Owl Lady, and the King of Demons, but nothing comes close to the most intense warlock on the Boiling Isles: Ace Adri.
Or as everyone calls him, the Ace of Spades."
Luz then turned the camera to one of Ace's wanted posters.
"...Sorry, Ace said he was busy so I couldn't get him here in person right now, *turns camera to herself*. but he did say he'd be here later on to take care of these."
She held up her hand and showed her Panjas bracelet/star charm.
"Ace made charms like these and gave them to me and my friends. When he activates them, they enhance magic to his family's level. He was supposed to turn them off at midnight, but he had things to do so he called us all and said he'd turn them off later on today.
*puts hand down* Everyone here on the Boiling Isles either sees Ace as a threat, a monster, a hero, or an idol. If you saw his magic in actoin, you'd think the same thing.
I bet if he went up against the universe, he'd win."
*CRASH!*
The ground shook making Luz stumble.
We see the camera turn and there's dust covering what crashed into the ground.
We suddenly see a figure get whacked out of the dust cloud and into a building's wall and then the dust cleared revealing non other Ace Adri, with Red not on him, but smiling as always.
"You were saying?" he said to the figure.
He then noticed Luz with her phone.
"Oh, hey Superstar." he said, nonchalantly, as if he didn't just send someone flying into a wall.
Eda shook her held head then spoke up. "Ace, what did you get yourself into this time?"
"Funny story. I was with Phoenix earlier and we were about to go swimming."
Earlier that day...
We see Ace standing at the edge of a cliff, taking in the view of the boiling sea.
He then heard running behind him and saw Phoenix running his way, with a blue gem in her hands.
She jumped off the cliff and the gem in her hand glowed, before her body was covered with a light that was the same color as the gem but later.
We then see her body grow her mermaid/sea gorgon tail, and when the light went away, Phoenix had her mermaid look as she landed in the water.
She rose to the surface and called out to Ace, "You coming?"
"You bet." he said as Red became a wolf and went through a portal into Ace's home. He didn't want Red to get wet...or burned.
Ace jumped off the cliff and his body was enveloped in light as his spade glowed.
When the light went away, the Adri was in a new Adri-mental form.
His body was covered in xanadu[greyish-green] scales, his eyes' sclera was yellow and the irises were vermilion, his hands were webbed and clawed, his shoes were gone his feet were webbed as well, and he had a scaled tail that's sharp at the end of it.
This Adri-mental is called AmphibiAce.
When he landed in the boiling water, he swam to the surface and said to Phoenix, "Try to keep up!"
He then dove into the sea, and Phoenix smiled before going after him.
Let me explain: ever since Phoenix learned that Ace had an Adri-mental form that could help him swim faster and breathe underwater, she had the idea to come swim with her in the boiling sea with her.
He didn't mind. He liked the idea.
So, they did this from time to time when Ace wasn't training...or getting himself into trouble.
...And he'd be lying if he said that spending time with her like this wasn't gradually making him want to start going out with her.
Right now, we see Ace land and lay down face up on some coral, watching Phoenix swim gracefully.
Play 'Phoenix of the Sea' by CG5
Ace snapped his fingers, making the coral and kelp around him glow while making some music.
He moved his head to it as he watched Phoenix swim around some more.
(Ace) "I cannot be moved,
I do what I do anyway.
In the ocean blue,
We'll go with the groove everyday.
Oh, my beloved,
Come, follow me
Flow with the motion, down the stream
I'll be your guardian, I'll be your friend
I'll be your friend!"
He then got up from his spot and swam around, still watching Phoenix do underwater tricks.
"Phoenix of the sea, swimmin' in the deep, subaquatically, ya ya ya
Healing is a breeze, understandably, can you feel the beat? Ya ya ya.
I just wanna be free.
Free to be, free to be me!
I just wanna be free.
Free to be, free to be me!"
He then swam towards Phoenix, and they did some tricks together.
"Take me to the shore, so much to explore, it's all so great
In this kingdom of yours; keeps you safe and warm out in the rain.
Gonna be goin' back home, don't wanna be all alone.
Underwater galaxy,
(Phoenix) "And it's all for me, yeah, yeah!"
They came together and held each other's hands.
(Ace and Phoenix) "Oh, my beloved,"
(Ace) "Come, follow me."
(Ace and Phoenix) "Go with the motion"
"Down the stream
(Ace and Phoenix) "I'll be your guardian."
(Ace) "I'll be your friend
I'll be your friend!"
They then traced shapes in the water, starting with Ace's spade.
"Phoenix of the sea, swimmin' in the deep, subaquatically, ya, ya, ya
Healin' is a breeze, understandably, can you feel the beat? Ya, ya, ya!
They then made Phoenix's seashell.
"I just wanna be free!
Free to be, free to be me!
I just wanna be free!
Free to be, free to be me!"
They did the shape of a heart and when they met in the middle, they embraced each other and Phoenix kissed Ace on the cheek.
Ace smiled and did the same thing.
Phoenix gasped, and Ace held up one finger and mouthed, 'You're getting there.'
This made her smile brightly.
End song!
However, at that moment, Phoenix saw Ace's spade flash for a brief second.
She let go of Ace, and looked in the direction where Ace was facing before going in that direction with Ace following behind.
They made past a some sea life and made it to what looked like a glowing crack on the seafloor.
Phoenix looked into the crack before reaching into it. When she pulled her arm out, showing she had nothing, she said, "There's something in there, but I can't reach it. It's too narrow."
"Hmm...Try using the water to push it out."
Phoenix did just that, but unexpectedly, when she used a small amount of magic, the item shot out of the crack and out of the water as if she used a large amount.
"...Uh, Phoenix?" "I didn't do that on purpose! I promise! I didn't mean to use that much water!" "Okay, chill Phoenix. No need to get upset. Let's go get it."
The two of them swam to the surface and saw the item in question in a tree on land.
It was a pearled necklace with a jeweled plus sign.
Ace's flashing spade confirmed that it belonged to a member of the Adri family.
Phoenix and Ace made it to the shore, Ace became his normal self, Phoenix became a bipedal, and the two made their way towards the tree to nab the necklace.
But then, Ace stopped in his tracks and pulled Phoenix by his side right when a white blast of...something shot at them.
Afterwards, several scouts came out and aimed spell circles at them.
"I think I left my 'Find my Scroll' on." Ace joked.
Even so, this wasn't some laughing matter. "Get the necklace." one scout said, before another scout went to grab the necklace from the tree.
"Seriously? One person against-One...Three...Six...Eight...Nine...Eleven scouts? I think the odds are in my favor."
Wait, 'one'? Shouldn't Phoenix count?
Oh, never mind. Ace just revealed that the 'Phoenix' next to him was a scout with an illusion cover just by conking it out with one hit to the head. Weak.
So, when Ace and Phoenix got out of the water, the latter got subdued from behind very quietly and very carefully. Ace had to give them props for that one.
How'd he know? I don't know myself. Family thing, I guess.
Another one did a spell circle, dispelling an illusion, and showing Phoenix tied up. At the same time, a scout came down from the tree with the necklace in a glass container.
They were trying to tell them it was either Phoenix or the necklace.
The scout with the necklace left with three others, while the other seven readied for whatever Ace'd pull out his pocket.
Phoenix looked at Ace who looked back with a smile.
"Y'know, honestly, you guys managed to sneak something past me. Good for you. But there's one thing you all didn't count on about Phoenix."
They all looked at each other in confusion before Ace finished, "She's a tall glass of water. *snaps fingers*"
That snap activated Phoenix's seashell charm on her necklace.
With her magic amplified, she made bursts of boiling water, burst from the ground, sending the scouts flying.
Ace came over and cut her free using his axe.
"You okay?" "Mhm. Go get your necklace." "You sure?" "Yeah, *looks up at falling scouts* I'll teach them what happens when you mess with Phoenix of the Sea."
"Now you're really getting there. Gotta run Phoenix, give them heck for me!" Ace said as he ran off.
When the scouts landed, hard on the ground, they felt...a disturbance in the air.
They looked toward Phoenix, who looked livid. Her hair in all directions and her eyes glowing.
"Kidnap me, huh?" she said, ready to tear them a new one.
"This was a lot easier than I thought it would be."
"Oh, c'mon guys."
The four scouts immediately looked towards a tree that Ace was sitting in.
"Let's be real: When have I ever made things easy for you guys?"
Ace jumped from the tree, and with a lot of force, made the ground shake and crack as he hit the ground.
The scouts lost their balance and fell on the ground, dropping the container with the necklace in the process. It broke, releasing the necklace when it hit the ground.
"So, you gonna give the necklace, or am I gonna have to take it from you after I send you all to the Healing coven?"
The only female scout of the group looked at Ace, then at the necklace.
She thought and knew that there would be no chance of them winning a fight against Ace. Again. So what would be the best option to fight someone that had better, stronger, and uniquer magic that surpassed theirs?
Easy. You use that kind of magic against them.
She went for the necklace, and put it on as she got up, making the plus on it glow.
I kid you not, when all Ace said was, "*clicks tongue* Well, that can't be good."
She did a spell circle above her head in order to test what it did, and around all of them, a few trees and rocks in the area were suddenly engulfed in light, became streams of light like with Ace's Adri-mentals, and traveled behind the scout with the necklace, creating a figure made of light.
When the light went away, standing behind her seemed to be some kind of big bipedal creature twice her size made of plant life and stone.
It looked like some kind of nature golem.
The scout turned around, and she looked at the golem, surprised at what she did, before recomposing herself and telling it, "You! Keep him busy!"
She and the other scouts then ran out of there when the golem nodded at her.
"Aw, for me? You shouldn't have." Ace called out after them before the golem roared at him, starting a fight between it and him.
While Ace danced with danger, he concluded that the necklace had the power to make living creatures out of whatever was around.
The fight wasn't too hard; it was basically the Hands of Rock all over again. Ace was just smiling and having some fun dodging its punches and slam attacks.
After thinking that he had enough fun, he breathed out a flame, setting the foliage on the golem ablaze, before throwing his axe straight through it, shattering it into pebbles and leaves.
These things packed a punch, but the stuff it was made from were no match for Ace's axe.
Speaking of which, when it came back to Ace, he caught it just before it decapitated him. He really needs to work in hix axe throwing.
With axe in hand, he ran in the direction that the scouts went in.
He kept running until he saw that he was out of the woods and was on a street in Bonesborough.
"Now, if I were four coven scouts that just stole a family relic, where would I be?"
Ace jumped onto a house's walls and climbed up onto the roof. He pressed on and looked around for the four scouts while parkouring across the rooftops.
He later found them getting onto a cart that belonged to the Emperor's Coven. He followed them from above as it rode off.
Call it what you want, but one of the scouts looked up and saw Ace going after them.
"He's back!" he alerted.
"It's okay." the female scout with the necklace said, "I've got this."
Before she could try to do anything, Ace threw his axe, and it hit the cart making it go over and tumble down the street with them still on it.
Ace jumped on the ground as his axe went came back to him. He then noticed someone down the street that the cart was heading for.
His spade flashed twice, showing that he was calling someone.
"Hey, Gus, you might wanna look to your right."
At the end of the street, Gus did that and yelped when he saw the barreling cart coming for him.
He immediately made a spell circle and a bunch of illusion copies of himself were made in front of him.
They saw the cart too and yelped themselves.
They held their hands up to defend themselves, but they all managed to catch it in the process.
Remember? Ace still had his friends' charms activated, and was supposed to turn them off today.
With some Adri magic added to Gus' illusion magic, the copies were tangible and could touch stuff.
With that many hands, they all managed to catch the cart with the scouts on it. Though, they didn't notice them on it.
"Nice reflexes." Ace said, "Think you can throw it back over here?"
"When you say, 'throw it' do you really mean-" "Throwing it!"
"No, wait!"
Gus's plea went on deaf ears as his illusion copies reeled back, then tossed the cart back up the street. It went tumbling in Ace's direction.
Before it crashed into the Ace of Spades, he snapped his fingers making a big portal appear which the cart went into.
"Sorry, Ace." Gus said.
"Eh, don't worry about it, you did me a favor. Before I forget, I have to switch off your charm today. Mind if I-"
"Yes, please. I can't handle these guys anymore."
It was fun at first, but now the illusion Guses were a little too much to handle sometimes.
With the snap of his fingers Ace made the illusion Guses disappear, and deactivated Gus's charm.
"*exhales*Thank you, Ace." "Anytime, Gus. See ya."
Ace ended the call before jumping through the portal himself.
We see him falling through the sky when he came out the other side of the portal.
He saw the cart with the scouts on it, he dove to fall faster to catch to it.
When he made it to them, he latched onto the cart and reached for the necklace saying, "I'll be taking that."
"Oh no you don't!" The three male scouts then tried to push Ace off the falling cart, but they only managed to keep Ace just out of reach from the necklace.
They knew that Ace only had to touch the necklace once and the magic inside would be transferred into him, and they could not let that happen.
Ace was stronger though, and they were failing and he was reaching closer.
The woman with the necklace did a spell circle, and with the magic from the necklace, the entire cart that they were on was enveloped in a white light.
The shape of the cart changed into the shape of a dragon, and when the light went away, the five of them were all on a dragon that was made of the materials of the cart.
Instead of falling, they were flying through the air.
"I think I'm getting the hang of this." the scout said.
"Not gonna lie, looks like you are. Shame I gotta take that necklace though."
Before Ace tried to fight them, his short attention span made him look down at the ground and he noticed something.
"In five minutes or so. *falls off dragon* B.R.B., byeeeeee!"
When he fell off on purpose the scouts looked at each other confused before shrugging their shoulders.
At least he was gone.
On the ground, we see Willow sitting in a lotus position,
~Insert Laugh Here~
using her plant magic to make some new plant life.
With Adri magic from her charm, she could make her own plant that no one's ever seen before.
Honestly, it was a hassle at first. Ace made it look easy.
However, all she needed was some practice and concentration.
She managed to make flowers that could turn people different colors when you touched them. She called them Paint Poppies.
Suddenly something hit the ground making the ground shake and quake.
She looked and saw that it was Ace who was standing in front of her.
"Hey Willow." he said, not knowing that he made the ground start to crack.
Before she could try to reply, she felt the ground give way under her. The next second, she fell down a big hole that formed right where she was sitting. She screamed as she fell.
"Whoops." Was all he said.
Ace jumped into the hole and dove after Willow. "I gotcha, Willow."
He dove fast enough and caught up to her. "Need a hand?"
She grabbed his hand, and thanks to some Adri magic, and the luck and the chance that they happened to think of the same thing, they each grew a propeller-like flower in each of their hands, which flew them back upwards to the top of the hole.
"Phew. Thanks, Ace." "You're welcome. Sorry about this." "It's okay. Just a regular day on the Boiling Isles."
...
...
...
...It's a long way up.
"...So, how's your day going?" "Um, pretty nice. You made making unique plant life look so easy. It was actually harder than it looks, but I got there in the end." "I can see that." "How was your day?"
"Eh, same old, same old." he said as they landed back safely on the cliff. Willow let go of her flower and let it fly away and Ace held onto his.
"While I'm here, I gotta deactivate your charm. There's a thing I gotta get back to A.S.A.P.." "Well, it was fun while it lasted."
Ace snapped his fingers and Willow's clover charm was deactivated.
"Alright, gotta fly. See ya, Willow."
Ace tugged the flower twice, and the petals rotated fast, sending him upwards as Willow waved Ace goodbye.
In the air, Ace looked around for the wooden dragon that the coven scouts were riding on.
After some short time of searching, he spotted them, but they were a large distance away, and were almost at Belos' castle.
Luckily, Ace had better aim.
He did a tornado spin in the air, and after a few more spins, he let go of the flower and it soared like a Frisbee in the direction the scouts were in.
From where Ace was floating in the air, he saw the flower shoot straight through the wooden dragon, breaking it in two, and making the scouts go screaming when they started to fall.
Yet, the woman with Ace's necklace fell through a spade shaped portal, while the rest had crashed onto the bridge outside the castle.
Relax, they're alive...I think...I hope.
The scout that went through the portal came out the other end, high above the ground. Really high above the ground.
That portal closed, and another one opened. Ace came through that one.
"Hey, long time no see."
"You're not getting me this time!" she said. She did a spell circle, but nothing happened.
She looked around and noticed what the reason was. The necklace gave the power to make creatures made of what was around, but there was nothing around.
When Ace started to get the picture also, he grinned at her as his spade glowed. She couldn't do anything.
The scout saw his expression and was now sweating behind her mask.
"I bet if he went up against the universe, he'd win."
*CRASH!*
The ground shook making Luz stumble.
We see the camera turn and there's dust covering what crashed into the ground.
The coven scout then got whacked out of the dust cloud and into a building's wall and then the dust cleared revealing Ace.
"You were saying?" he said to the scout.
He then noticed Luz with her phone.
"Oh, hey Superstar." he said.
End flashback!
"-and here I am." Ace finished, tossing a spirit pepper into his mouth from his pocket.
"'Scuse me for a second."
Ace walked over to the scout he pretty much almost killed, and finally reached for the necklace.
When he touched it, his spade glowed and he was in a trance.
In his mind, he heard the words of inspiration from another one of his family members.
"Ace, I know you know this, but you have the strength to do what looks impossible.
Never ever let that strength go to waste.
Love, Aunt Chasity."
When Ace snapped back to reality, he took the necklace off of the scout's neck while saying, "Don't think you can take my Aunt Chaz's necklace and think I won't break every bone in your body."
"You're...insane..." she said, barely able to get a word out.
Ace whispered into her ear, "I'm not insane, I'm Ace Adri."
The boy then just flicked her forehead, and she blacked out.
As Ace walked back towards Eda's stand, he said, "Hey Superstar, we still got time for that video?"
So, after Ace deactivated her charm, Luz had him over for her little video documentary.
Her phone camera's now zoomed in on a picture from Ace's Adri family book as he's explaining who it is.
The picture's of a woman in her thirties, her skin tone's a tad darker than Ace's, her brown hair reaches down to her shoulder length, and right above where the plus was on her necklace, on her neck was a mark of a jeweled diamond.
"This is Chasity Adri." Ace explained, "Since diamonds like this mean innocence and purity, she was given a name to match: Chasity.
She had a necklace that could create creatures from the things around her.
When I touched her necklace, I can now do the same thing."
"Would you mind giving a sample?" Luz asked.
"Eh, maybe next time. I'm a little exhausted after today. I need a nap."
Ace made a bed-sized cloud appear behind him and he flopped backwards onto it. He was out like a light a second later.
When Luz turned her phone off, she waved her hand over Ace's closed eyes to see if he was really asleep.
"Don't bother, Luz." Eda said, while tending to a customer, "When Ace falls asleep on that cloud, he doesn't wake up. He says it's something about it being too comfortable."
"Really?"
I mean, it was a cloud, but was it really that comfortable?
Luz sat down on it next to Ace to see for herself...only to fall asleep on it in a heartbeat. It was that comfortable.
That made Eda smirk while she worked. It was a little funny how Luz didn't believe it at first, only to black out just from sitting on the cloud.
She then saw the cloud start to float upwards with the two on it. The wind also picked up, blowing the cloud away.
Eda just shrugged her shoulders and went back to tending her stand.
She didn't have to go after them because Ace was with Luz.
What was the worst that could happen with him around?
