A small round table with a cup of coffee, a small glass shot with transparent liquid and a small sweet. Serbia sits alone, thinking about something. Another nation walks in the empty space, and awkwardly approaches.
"Hello? Nice to see you" Switzerland adds to the distracted nation. After a silent moment, he adds: "So how are you? It is getting increasingly difficult to get a hold of you."
"I was busy. I'm always busy... What do you need?" she says coldly, tapping her cigarette in an ashtray.
"Um", he utters. "Am I disturbing you? I can come back later..."
"No, I was just having breakfast."
The male nation scratches his head. "It's not breakfast yet."
"Its breakfast time somewhere", she adds calmly.
"Alright then", he says increasingly nervous. "I was reading some old newspapers and came across an article of you..."
"And?"
"And, you are not genocidal, are you?"
Serbia slowly turned, looking at him with a blank stare. "Actually I am very genocidal. I do a genocide at least once each day."
He gasped, slightly terrified. "You must be joking. Right?"
"Not at all. Please join me and I'll explain", she says pointing to the chair on the opposite side. He reluctantly obliges.
"You see, every morning I first take something sweet, like a delight or some jam" she says with a scene of green blobs with legs crowding in one dark red spot.
"That way, I attract the nasty little bacteria in one place... Then, I have my coffee..." she says taking a seep. The bacteria are splashed with the dark liquid, making them cartoonishly scream. "The dark disorients them. And finally, I take my rakija..." she continues chugging down the shot. The bacteria scream as they are dissolved by the see-through liquid. The glass is slammed down on the table. "They never see it coming", she adds with a snarky smile.
He nods, extremely relived. "Good... For a moment there I thought you were going to..."
"It's important to get off one's high horse and learn things from a different perspective, from time to time. Educate yourself, Switzerland. There are trenches in the oceans that could be filled with the things you don't know", she says in a cold calm tone.
"I see. Well, thank you for the... that. I'd be going now" he utters and leaves her be.
