Serbia is sitting slouched over in the blank white space. The paper newspaper is placed next to her folded. "Ah, I'm so exhausted from this world turning news. Can't I hear some light-hearted news."
Her human assistant walks up looking around confused. "So this is where you nations hang out these days", she says intrigued. "Seems homey."
"It beats sitting around in the human world," her boss answers. "Now, do you have some interesting yet irrelevant to the fate of humanity piece of gossip for me?"
"There's this thing called an American Song Contest," the secretary said, making her feel a little better.
"Oh yea. It's cute. Anything else?"
"Um Johnny Dep is having legal issues with his ex-wife again."
"Again? Well that's what you get when you call your long-term partner and mother of your children a girlfriend yet marry the first spring chicken that falls into your lap?" the nation says, crossing her arms.
"Yeah but this Amber is no better. Did you hear Jason Momoa divorced his wife for her?" the assistant said.
"What?" the nation stood up angry. "What kind of home wrecking bullshit is that!"
"Allegedly," the assistant defended her claim.
"They're still divorced, aren't they? I can't believe this! Who gave her this power over men? Is she on a mission from Satan or something..." the irritated Serbia yells walking off-screen.
"Okay, you clearly don't understand how gossiping works. I'm gonna come back later" the female assistant smiles nervous and vanishes quickly while her boss yells outraged.
Some time later, Serbia is sitting with her legs crossed, playing games with a white joystick on the white screen.
"Hello, how are you feeling today?" her assistant returns nervous.
"Good. Why?"
"Not upset about celebrities fighting in court?" she adds timid.
The nation scoffs. "Oh please, it was obvious the relationship was toxic for both. I can't get heads or tails of it. And besides, if I wanted such drama, I could easily go and watch toddlers fight over toys at the playground."
"I'm happy you feel that way," the anxious girl replies.
The nation turns. "They should just stop and leave each other alone. Is that too much to do? Ugh, humans and their gray areas... From now on, I only want life-changing world news. Got it?"
"Got it?" the girl tells her fickle boss.
"Hey, what's happening in Hague?" the nation suddenly asks.
"Umm, the trials?"
"Yes, those land grabbers that thought they ruled over my most southern province?" Serbia says.
"Still ongoing" the assistant adds.
"Great, keep me informed" the nation says returning to her game.
The female assistant grumbles, walking away. "They don't pay me enough for this."
