Germany steps into the blank space, out of his mind. His hands are on his head as his eye bulge in panic. Other EU countries stand around, all in different stages of worry.
"It's over!" he yells into the ear of Romania, who bites his fingers looking east.
"We are all doomed!" he pops up near sombre and quiet Belgium. France smokes a cigar, melancholically sipping his drink as he watches the distraught nation run elsewhere.
Austria watches to the far east when his brother appears. "Thigs were never worse?" Germany screams before sitting on the white ground.
"Oh please. I know it's nerve-wracking but you can't claim that. Especially, after everything we0ve been through" Austria says.
"Like what?" he asks.
"Like two world wars, for example" Austria shrugs.
"Oh" Germany utters lowering his head. "Still, things are different now. Who knows what will happen once Russia and China get their way. Don't you know what happens to countries when they take over?"
Austria hums as all the other EU countries gather around. "I suppose it would be bad. If only we had a point of reference" Luxembourg says.
Spain ponders. "Say whatever happened to Hong Kong? He had issues with China a year or two ago. Right?"
"Oh, I remember that? With the protests and the riots. They were so desperate to avoid their faith. The entire thing seemed frightening" Monaco adds.
"It sure was. I wonder how they are coping now" Ireland says.
"Poor things, they must be all in concentration camps of sweat shops!" Germany yells, grabbing his head again.
Everyone looks at his before they glanced over to that side of the world. Hong Kong is sitting on his island, playing a small video game device. Noticing that he is being noticed, he look their way, waves slowly and tranquilly returns to his game.
The EU countries squint displeased.
"Well, they were just lucky" Germany says as all go back to their spot.
