'Thoughts'

Parseltongue

Another Upperlander

(With Harry)

Harry was in his room meditating. The doctor had recommended it to help with his magic. Since he wasn't using it as often as before it was restless. The green eyed teen never realized how much magic he had been using beforehand and wondered if his magic was the only reason he was still alive.

'Was it always healing me and I never noticed?' He wondered. 'How come madam Pomfrey never noticed. For the past four years I have spent a lot of time in the infirmary.'

"Harry?" It was Tyva.

"Yes?" He looked at her.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

"I'm having a hard time meditating." He answered.

"Do you know why?" She asked.

"I can't turn my thoughts off." He said.

"Do you want to talk about it?" She asked.

"With my magic being so restless it makes me wonder." He said.

Tyva sat down next to him. She knew this was hard for him. She placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. He gave her a shaky smile.

"What are you wondering about?" She asked after a couple minutes of silence.

"Well my magic was never restless before. In fact I didn't even know I was a wizard until my eleventh birthday." He revealed.

"Okay." She nodded.

"The doctor said that my magic was restless due to not using it. I wonder if my magic was always healing me and that is why it was never restless before." He said.

"I see. How does that make you feel?" She asked, 'I feel the need to find your relatives and kill them.' She thought.

"Sick. It makes me feel sick." He answered.

"As it should. What they did to you was sickening and wrong." She said.

"But-"

"There are no buts. No matter what a child does they don't deserve to be abused." She said.

Harry sighed. "I know. It's just hard telling myself that. I spent so long believing that I was a freak and therefore deserved it all."

"I know." She ran a finger down his cheek. "That is why I will remind you as much as you need that you are special and deserve love."

"Thank you." He sobbed.

"You're welcome." She hugged him close.

She let Harry cry. Eventually he cried himself to sleep. She cleaned his face and tucked him in. She kissed his cheek and left the room. Tyva then went to the kitchen. Everyone was there. They looked so pissed.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"We heard what happened." Tarrant said. "Poor thing believes he deserves it."

"Sickening." His father said.

"I know." She said.

"What can we do?" Tarrant asked.

"Just show him love." His mom said.

"Too bad we can't kill them." Paloo muttered.

"Or torture them." Pimlick said.

"I agree." Zanik said.

"As much as I do agree with that we can't. Let's just focus on getting Harry to heal and realize he deserves love." Tyva said.

"You're right." The others said.

"I'm going to let Chessur know. That way he is aware to choose his words wisely." Tarrant said.

"Alright." His dad said. "I am going to let the queen know."

"Okay." They said,

Later that day Harry woke up. His head was pounding. He went to the kitchen and found Zanik. He took one look at his ward and knew he was in pain. He grabbed the painkillers and gave Harry one pill.

"Thank you." He said.

"You're welcome. Are you ready for lunch?" He asked.

"Yes please."

"Great. I'll start making it. Make sure you take your vitamins." He reminded the child.

"I will." He said before taking the painkiller.

"Good." He smiled before making the food.

Harry went to where his vitamins were and quickly took them. He then sat down and waited. Zanik soon gave him a bowl of soup and a sandwich. He then grabbed some for himself. He sat down next to Harry and they began eating.

"Where are the others?" He asked.

"The kids are out with friends and the adults are getting some shopping done." He answered.

"Oh okay." He said.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

"Physically I am feeling better. I never realized how much pain I was in until now." He answered.

"I'm glad you are feeling better physically." He said, hating the pain the child was in beforehand.

"Mentally…well…" He trailed off not knowing how to continue.

"It's okay. All that you went through and all that you are learning can put a major strain on your mental health." He said.

"It feels like a rollercoaster." He admitted.

"Rollercoaster?" Zanik had never heard of those.

"Oh um, it's a ride." He grabbed a pen and paper and quickly drew one. "Like this. This cart will take a person along the tracks."

"I see." That was interesting and he wished to learn more but that would have to wait.

"Sometimes I feel good, other times bad, and sometimes I feel like I'm going through a loop or going upside down." The wizard said.

"We expected that. Luckily you speak to the doctor tomorrow. Make sure to tell him about this." He said.

"I will." He promised.

"Good."

The two finished eating and Harry went back to his room. He tried meditating once more. This time he was able to clear his mind. His magic caused him to levitate, as well as levitate a few things in his room. He also glowed a soft emerald color. That was how Zanik found him when he went to check on him.

'Wow.' He was shocked. 'Beautiful.'

He quietly left so as to not disturb the child. When the others returned home he made sure they stayed quiet. They all checked in on him and thought it was beautiful. They then left him alone. A couple hours later Harry came out of his meditative state. HIs room had returned to normal and he was no longer levitating or glowing.

'I feel a lot better.' He thought.

Harry left his room and found the others in the kitchen. He took his vitamins and meds and grabbed the plate handed to him. Tarrant was the first to speak to him.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

"A lot better." He answered.

"That's good. When you are given the all clear to use magic again, can I see it?" He asked.

"I don't see why not." He said.

"Great." Tarrant grinned,

"I won't do anything too advanced. I never even finished my fourth year at Hogwarts," He said.

"That actually reminds me. I ran into Aquarius Black-Burton." Tyva said.

"Oh? Wait, isn't she from Upperland? Like Harry?" Her husband asked.

"She is. She is also a witch. I told her about Harry and she is interested in meeting him and possibly teaching him." She revealed.

Zanik looked at Harry. "How do you feel about that?" He asked.

"I wouldn't mind. I do want to continue my education." He said.

"But it terrifies you." He picked up on it.

"Yes." Harry admitted.

"That's okay. We will be here and support you on whatever you decide." He said.

"She did say it was up to you." Tyva told him.

"I want to meet her." He decided. "As long as you both are there."

"We will be." The two said.

"I'll send her a letter." Tyva said.

"Okay." Harry said.

The rest of the meal they talked about the tea party Tarrant was planning. Harry was even going to be there. He just couldn't eat any sweets. He would be having sandwiches instead.

(One Week Later)

Harry, Tyva, and Zanik were in the living room. The others left but were nearby just in case. Soon Aquarius arrived. She seemed familiar to Harry. Like he had seen her before but he knew he hadn't. She smiled at him.

"Oh my goodness. I thought I recognized your name." She said.

"I'm sorry?" He looked confused.

"No, I must apologize. You may not know this but my brother is your godfather." She said.

"I do not but I only met him last year." He said.

"What?" That confused her.

"Um…." He wasn't sure he could tell her Sirius had been wrongly convicted.

"I have an idea. See I have a special gift. If I touch you I can read your memories. It will let me see and you won't have to talk about it." She said.

"No!" He yelled.

"Okay." She was shocked.

"Shhh." Tyva said, trying to calm her down.

"He's been abused." Zanik explained.

"James and Lily abused their son?!" That was a shock.

"No. His mom's sister, her husband, her son, and her husband's sister. Not to mention what Dumbledore put him through." He answered.

"I see." She frowned. "I'm assuming then your parents are dead?" She looked at him.

"Yes. Voldemort killed them." He answered.

"Who sent you to that bitch? Lily never wanted you with them." She said.

"Dumbledore. She really didn't leave me with her?" He asked.

"No she didn't and how dare he!" She seethed. "After Lily came back in our sixth year with bruises you would have thought he knew better."

"What?" Harry was shocked.

"Petunia was jealous of Lily. Your mum was beautiful and smart. Petunia looked like a horse and got average grades. Then Snape saw your mum use magic and told her she was a witch. The two became friends and later they went to Hogwarts. Petunia wrote to Dumbledore to get into the school but he rejected her. The summer before our sixth year Petunia would randomly come up to Lily and hit her hard with a book, frying pan, or a rolling pin. Left huge bruises all over. Your grandparents sent Lily to me when Petunia refused to stop." She informed him.

"No one told me that. Everyone talks about my dad. The most I hear is that I have her eyes." He said.

"You have more than her eyes. Yes you look like James but you have your mum's eyes and nose." She said.

"That is nice to hear. Wait! Snape and my mum were friends?!" That was a shock.

"They were until he called her a mudblood." She said.

Harry bit his lip and then offered up his hand. "Here." He wanted to know more and figured she would have answers if she saw what happened after she disappeared.

"Are you sure?" She asked.

"Yeah. Something is telling me I can trust you and you may have answers if you see them." He said.

"Okay." She took his hand.

His memories flashed into her mind. By the end of it she was sickened, horrified, and pissed off. She looked at him and wondered how he was still alive. She was motivated to find her way back. She wanted to free her cousin, find and hand in that traitorous rat, and bring Dumbledore and Harry's relatives to justice. Actually she wanted to kill the rat, Dumbledore, and Harry's relatives.

"I am so sorry. I disappeared a day after your parents went into hiding. I told Sirius to not trust Pettigrew with that information. I never thought he would join Voldemort. I thought he would have been tortured." She said.

"Not your fault." He said.

"I will say it is convenient that most of the people you were supposed to go to ended up unable to take you in." She sneered.

"W-who was I supposed to go to? I know Sirius was one." He asked.

"Sirius was their first choice. After him was your godmother, Alice Longbottom." She answered.

"Neville's mum is my godmother?!" He was shocked.

"She was. I have no idea why August never said anything but seeing how she treats her own grandson I am not surprised. I also wouldn't be surprised if she never told Neville. I do wonder what happened to Alice and Frank." She said.

"I never asked Neville. I just assumed they died." He admitted.

"After Alice it was supposed to be Remus Lupin. Seeing as he is a werewolf and loyal to Dumbledore my guess is that Dumbledore manipulated him into letting you go elsewhere." She said.

"Werewolves legally cannot be the guardians to any child that isn't a werewolf." Harry told her.

"What?" That shocked her.

"After meeting Remus and having to help Sirius escape I looked into it. It became illegal a day before my parents were murdered." He told her.

"Of course." She scowled.

"Yeah. I already figured out why." He sighed.

"I am assuming it was Dumbledore?" She asked.

"I think so but he didn't put forth the bill. It was actually Diggle. Dumbledore was one of the few that voted against it but I think it was his plan." He said.

"To make him look good and keep the werewolves or bring the werewolves to his side." Aquarius theorized.

"Exactly. I also think he knew my parents were going to die soon and wanted me with the Dursleys." He said.

"Why?" She wondered.

"To make sure I was abused although I don't know why. When I told him in first year he said spanking isn't abuse and sent me back." He said.

"I have no idea but I will find out." She promised. "Once I figure out how to leave."

"I don't want to." Harry said.

"I never want you to. The Hightopps are just who you need." She said, getting huge smiles from them.

"They are." He agreed.

"After Remus was myself but a couple months after you were born I fell into a mirror and ended up here. After me was the Bones. Your mum was friends with Amelia Bones and wanted her to take you in if needed." She said.

"I know of her but I never met her." He said.

"I will investigate that as well." She said.

"Thank you." He said.

"You're welcome. So I guess I should talk about my relationship with Sirius and your parents." She said.

"Yes please." He was eager to hear.

"From what I saw you don't know about Regulus Black, correct?" She asked for confirmation.

"That is correct." He said.

"Thought so. Okay so Sirius was the oldest. Then it was Regulus and I. We were twins. That had been a shock since our family wasn't known for twins. Twins are actually celebrated since they are much rarer in the magical community than in the muggle community." She explained.

"Why?" He asked.

"No one is sure. It hasn't been researched. I can't tell you why though." She said.

"Oh, okay." He said.

"Anyway, my parents believed I was a squib. Any magic I did, they believed, was done by Regulus. Without getting me checked out at a hospital I was abandoned in the muggle world. Luckily I was found by a muggleborn couple. They had left the wizarding world but they could feel my magic and took me in. I was five at the time." She told them.

"That is horrible." Harry said.

"How could anyone abandon their child like that?" Tyva asked.

"I have no idea." She said sadly.

"How did they explain your disappearance?" Harry asked.

"They told everyone that I died from the wizarding flu." She answered.

"Wow." He was shocked.

"Yeah. Well the couple that took me in and raised me. They were my parents. When I got my letter it was addressed to Aquarius Burton. Burton was my adoptive parents last name." She told them. "I didn't use Black as my last name until after I graduated Hogwarts."

"Understandable." He said.

"No one realized I was Aquarius Black, except for Sirius and Regulus. They were shocked. They confronted me and I told them what happened. They promised to keep it a secret. They didn't want our parents to take me back. Especially since they had started using the cruciatus curse to punish them." She said, causing Harry to gasp.

"No!" He was sickened by that.

"What?" Tyva and Zanik looked at him.

"I learned about that curse this year. It is one of the three unforgivable curses. This curse is the torturing curse." He said.

"It causes the person it is cast upon to feel like every nerve in their body is on fire." Aquarius explained.

"Oh my!" The Underland couple gasped as they turned really white.

"They did that to their children?" Harry asked.

"They did." She confirmed.

"That is not right." Tyva said, shaking her head.

"That is sickening." Zanik said.

"Yes it was. I tried to anonymously get them investigated but nothing happened." She sighed.

"Wow." The three shook their heads.

"Yes, well, I was sorted into Ravenclaw. Only interacted with my brother in private. I was best friends with Lily but not with Snape. He hated me since he wanted Lily to himself. He was so in love with her but never told her." She said.

"Ew." Harry didn't like that.

"Yeah. They stopped being friends when he called her a mudblood. Your father was a bully and used to bully him. He held a grudge after Lily chose James." She revealed.

"That's why he hates me and why he is always trying to compare me to my dad." He realized.

"Correct. After we graduated I went by Black. I knew it would get me more of an opportunity and it did. I became an apprentice in Spell Crafting." She said, "A little bit after you were born your family went into hiding. A prophecy was discovered that said you would fight Voldemort. Then one day Regulus disappeared and was declared dead. I still have no idea what happened to him. I was looking and that's how I happened upon the mirror that sent me here."

"Wow." He blinked. "A prophecy?"

"Of course Dumbledore never told you." She sighed. "I don't know exactly what it said but I do know it said that you were chosen to fight Voldemort."

"Me?!" He squeaked.

"Yes you." She said.

"I don't want to." He argued.

"I know." She didn't want him to.

"Why me?" He asked.

"I don't have the answer to that. I can teach you magic and I can also train you to fight." She offered.

"Okay." He said, knowing he should just in case.

"Great. I will come by in a couple days with a written test. We will do a practical once the doctor clears you." She said.

"Can Zanik or Tyva be there?" He asked, feeling better if they were.

"Of course you can." She said, understanding why.

"Thank you." He said.

"You're welcome." She smiled. "I shall take my leave now." She could see that Harry needed to rest.

"Okay. Before you go I have one more question." Harry said.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Sirius, Lupin, Mcgonagall, and many others talked about my dad. The only thing they left out was that he was a bully. Like I said I only know about her eyes. Aunt Petunia just said she was a whore and a freak. Could you tell me about her sometime?" He asked.

"It was my plan after you told me earlier that no one talked about her." She said, not surprised that Petunia couldn't say one nice thing about her sister.

"Thank you." He said.

"You're welcome. See you soon." She said.

"See you soon." The three said before she left.

"Just in time for your vitamins." Zanik said.

"Okay."
